Came in around 7 pm and there was a long line. Line goes quick, and they have many different healthy options on their menu. I ordered the regular turbo wrap supreme with falafel inside. They have a huge variety of choices. It's similar to Chipotle because you make your wraps however you want moving along a bar, but nothing like Chipotle in the sense that these ingredients are completely fresh, everything from the meat to the greens. I mean not a single withered green and the meat you order they cook on the spot. The wrap itself is as good as you make it. You can't blame them if your wrap tastes bad because you are the one that decides what ingredients and sauces go in it, as long as the ingredients are fresh (which they are). I also ordered their house fries. They are definitely hand cut, super fresh, but very very thick. If you like thick potato-e fries, try them out. They were not my personal favorite. PSA: they do not let you use metal credit/debit cards when you check out as they have been known to short their system somehow. You can still use regular plastic cards no issue. I've been coming here for awhile and I noticed I didn't write a review. Here I go! I am happy to report all good comments. The food is fresh and the salads are huge !! There tasty and perfectly sized, all fresh crisp salads with whatever you choose to add. I am a fan of the falafel salad. While you wait they will give you a falafel and a bit of tasty sauce. The gyro is also exceptional. You can add a falafel to any meal. The workers are always friendly and helpful in ordering and the prices are very fair considering the amount your getting. Parking is easy getting out of the parking lot can be tricky just be careful taking a left. So the portion are generous the prices are fair the workers are friendly so I say that international pocket is a defiantly a big thumbs up. read more

The place smells good when you walk in. It may just be fried foods, but it didn't smell old or stale. The guy was friendly and helpful. They have a good selection of sauces and toppings and throw in whatever you want. The shawarma was loaded but not overfilled, even with a few falafels thrown in. The falafels were golden in color, which I'm not used to, and maybe they weren't as healthy as some, but they tasted good. There are a bunch of fresh looking desserts. The drink case is pretty good, with several Honest Tea flavors for people who want to avoid soda. The fries seemed like they might be cut recently from real potatoes, and they were thick. There's plenty of parking for the size of the place. It's about $8 for a sammich. They also do wraps like chicken Caesar and buffalo chicken. I'd definitely go back. read more

I never eat blind as I like to call it, so when traveling from the PVD Airport this place was picked by a co worker and when I looked up the reviews I was sold. When we walked in I immediately looked for others who appeared to have visited before...I will admit this place is not much for the eyes but it will do for lunch with a small group who are in the mood for fast casual. I ordered the lamb sharwarma (spelling is most certainly wrong lol)l, it comes with free falafels that are fried to perfection. The amount of toppings is endless with this place so it doesn't appear you can go wrong with any combination. Was in the area for work and was recommended I stop by this joint for lunch. It is a small storefront in a little plaza with limited seated and a crowd out the door! I knew from this that it must be a town favorite. I ordered the Mediterranean Platter which came with falafel, tabbouleh and hummus (all of the best!). While I waited in line for quite a while, the service was extremely fast once it was my turn. Just to note - everyone eats first and pays after! We ordered the grilled *gyro wrap- house salad included *Mediterranean plate with steak, it included pita bread, rice pilaf, and a Greek salad with it. My steak was a bit dry but still so good when combined with everything else. *Buffalo Chicken Sub- fried buffalo chicken fingers with lettuce,tomatoes and cheese *Steak and Cheese Sub- with mushrooms,peppers and onion *Tuna sub *Chicken Salad sub-grilled chicken tossed with mayonnaise, lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Passable. We had the international plate and the stuffed grape leaves appetizer. It was all decent, but not great. Doner meat was tough and apparently had been sitting around a while. The grape leaves went down without much notice. I will say the felafel and tzatziki sauce were delicious. Can't say as much for the salad or little container of hummus. So this place is good, but nothing I had backed up its 4.5 star rating. I'm from Albany, not exactly a hot bed of Middle Eastern cuisine, and I've definitely had better. read more

Most places do not deserve a five star review but International Pocket Cafe deserves it for one reason alone; their beautiful combination of pita chips and hummus. In every other respect it is average, but something they do to their hummus is outstanding. The corresponding chips are somehow crunchy and buttery at the same time and feel amazing to eat. Having tried most of their menu I am not really impressed by anything else, and its not a place to have a meal at, service is adequate, but they have captured pure magic with their hummus. I normally love the food here, but we had a terrible experience this week. We ordered our food from grubhub. They did not receive the order, which is ok. The order was completely paid for and we had both a receipt and an order number. However, rather than working on the order, they called the owner and did not fill it. I was highly disappointed in the customer service. When they could not find it in their system, they started ignoring me and helping other customers. I could not believe that they did not fill the order or offer to help. Although the food is good, customer service matters and was sorely lacking here. read more

I ordered the Middle East Platter and it was good. The grape leaves stuffed with rice was a little smaller than what I am used too, but it tasted good. The greek salad was accompanied by cucumbers, tomatoes and olives. The only thing I would add are red onions.....they are a staple for greek salad and it gives the salad a settle kick. There's a place in Stamford, CT called 'Falafel'. For late night falafel wraps, these were the best...ever. Until they stopped being open, for reasons I'm not sure of. My brothers and I came here to get a snack before we were to eat dinner with out friends, upon their arrival. We shared two wraps between the three of us....... These chicken and chicken pesto wraps, with falafel, were absolutely amazing. The flavors of the hummus, the tabouli, and the other sauces inside, with the warm crunch falafel and delicious chicken, made them amongst the best ever. They were better than my Stamford spot. The ambiance in the place is in a sense, sleazy, and really needs a facelift. But looking past this, the food was tremendous. The food bar where they prepare your food was open, so you could watch them make it. Be prepared to feel like you are in a fast food joint in a dirty part of town, but be amazed at what they put in front of you. A must-have if you like falafel wraps! read more

Always in search of great food, I stumbled up International Pocket Cafe using Yelp. This group was hangry, no kidding! What I found interesting as we walked in was there was one guy busting his butt creating the great food which gives this place great ratings! I thought at first that this may have been a bad idea, but in the end it was oh so what I expected and wanted! All four of us ended up ordering plates of all sorts. It was all prepared very well and as fast as one man could do. I think I would have just walked away stressed out, but obviously I'm not the one cooking and nor would I be. In case anyone wondered, I'm not the best cook! Another thing to note, since he was so busy, he gave us our food and told us all to pay later. If that's not trust, I don't know what is! So I dived into my gyros plate, with the best rice pilaf that I've ever had. Seriously. I didn't think a side of rice pilaf would steal the show, but I eat all of it. The gyro meat was outstanding as well. Needless to say, my buddies killed their plates. One of my friends got the plate with all the meats. It was all gone at the end of our dinner! Wow. This place won me over and it's unfortunate that I now am just under 3000 miles away from great service and great food!
