Came here with a reservation for their Igloo. What an awesome set up they have. There was an incident with my reservation that I was originally upset about, BUT, it all worked out in the end which I am so happy about. (thank you again, Ryan) Reservation was for 7:30pm and we arrived a few minutes early. But our table was ready so we were able to sit right away. Our waiter Sal was great- super attentive and helpful with our orders. We had a blast. The igloo has its own Bluetooth speaker so you can play your own music. It also has a light to switch on/off if you want service, but our waiter just popped in whenever he noticed plates/glasses/etc which we didn't mind. Apps: we did the seafood antipasto and meat cheese board. Both were fresh and delicious. Fried calamari was crispy and the baked clams were little neck which are our favorites with a good dipping sauce. Entrees: I did the spicy rigatoni and added grilled chicken. It has a bit of a kick to it but I loved it! Boyfriend did the Manny's veal dish which was awesome and it was a huge portion. We both had plenty of left overs. We still had time so we decided to squeeze in dessert to share lol. We got the apple pie cinnamon bun (I think what it was called) and also the hot cocoa bomb with baileys. Worth it! This hot cocoa bomb was so chocolatey and when you add the baileys it literally just tasted like the holidays lol. Ambiance, food, service 10/10. I have to say- underwhelmed. I was so excited to go with my family for my birthday. I was told by several people that the bayshore Location had awful service but they were the only location that had availability for a party of 12 so I took a chance.. 1- we went during the week, and the music was incredibly loud. We absolutely could not even hear each other at the table. My dad wears a hearing aid and couldn't hear anything. I asked the waitress if she could lower the music and she did, but let us know that the manager would most likely make the volume louder again & he did. We spoke with the manager and he said this was how the owner liked the music, we asked if the owner was there, and he said no. The restaurant was half empty and was an older crowd dining, so I'm not sure why the music needed to be blasting, especially since they put us at a table with a speaker right over our head. 2- The drinks were not good. Someone in my party ordered a gin and tonic, and there was absolutely no gin in the drink. They made the drink twice & was awful, they settled for a coke. 3- Although our waitress was nice- she missed two items we ordered because the music was blasting & I (as the birthday guest) didn't get my dessert, they put my candle in another persons dessert- she apologized and had it out quickly- but said "sorry- I didn't hear you"-- well-- lower the music? It's not that hard. 4- The food was good. I had truffle pesto pasta with a crown on it. The fresh mozzarella was good, nothing to write home about. Artichokes were great as well as the egg rolls. Everyone else said their food was good, nothing crazy. It was an ok experience. I want to try the garden city location- as it's known to be better there. Is it worth the hype? Maybe to some. But, bayshore has to get their act together especially when there's big parties or if it's crowded. My brother (who was there) owns a restaurant & was stunned at the awful customer service. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY- THERE ARE BETTER OPTIONS NEARBY! The best part of the visit was the delightful hostess, which is the only reason I gave 2 stars for atmosphere . I'm moving to Bay Shore & ITA has been on the top of our list to try. Their presence on social media first grabbed our attention, and friends have posted such delicious looking meals on social media. My fiancé and I decided to to go to Bay Shore tonight while it was "Alive By The Bay - Bay Shore" (this is when Main Street closes and allows all restaurants and vendors to take the street). The restaurant itself is very cool. The bar is very trendy, there are a good amount of seats inside, and was absolutely blown away with how much outdoor seating they have on the side & rear of the building. Most importantly, the food was delicious. They start you off with nice toasted bread, and there is a nice seasoned olive oil on the table. For apps, we started with the Jules Corrozza and the Prosciutto / Burrata plate. These were both delicious. For dinner, we split the Spicy Rigatoni and the Arugula Prosciutto Flatbread. The spicy rigatoni was out of this world & the flatbread was so tasty. We cannot wait to go back, there was plenty more on the menu that we to try. read more

Where do I begin? We walk in with no reservations and get seated in a nice corner booth situation, tucked away. I think this is nice and have high hopes until I realize being so tucked away equates to being forgotten in the corner. We ask for a few minutes to discuss our order, we involuntarily get 15-20 minutes as we search for our numerous carousel of waiters (because we do not have a designated waiter taking care of us), to try and place our order. When we finally place our orders, my friend who is gluten-free opts for the linguini and clams however if they don't have the gf linguini then she'd get the gf penne but with vodka sauce. They're accommodating for sure but I thought it was odd they never came back to confirm which order was put in for her. When we get our meals, we're pleased. The food is actually very good. I can't contest that. I got the Angelina's Shrimp which was flavorful and I loved the different components to it: olives, capers, artichoke hearts, and broccoli rabe. It was a salty white wine sauce wonderland. When we finished our meals and received the check this is where the debacle truly began. We were searching for anyone to take our check and after 20 minutes, I considered going to the host stand to ask if we could pay anywhere. No host to be found. There's a flood of people now all crowded by the entrance and I feel like I'm fighting through the masses to get through to the bar to try and pay there. After basically 25 minutes of waiting, we finally get to pay our check and we immediately depart. Overall, the food was perhaps 4/5 but the service was a 1/5 and I will not be going back. read more

It was pretty good. The sauce was lacking something... maybe needed more basil or garlic, I don't know. For dinner I ordered the Burrata Avocado Toast and ma the meatball. The burrata which topped my avocado toast was delicious and fresh. The candied prosciutto added an interesting flavor. The toast could have been a little softer as I had to struggle a bit to cut some of it. The meatball was huge and topped with a little ricotta. Comparing it to my Italian mother's it lacked some flavor and was a little dry. For dessert, we split the brownie a la mode. We swapped the cherry ice cream for vanilla. The honeymoon is over! Every single time we eat here they screw up the order. First time I ordered the gnocchi and they gave me the GTFO. I was ok with it because it was delicious. The next time they forgot the mozzarella crown on my dish, again not that big of a deal but I did order it with so it's still a strike against them. Tonight was the last straw! We're seated and the waiter introduces himself, I think his name was Alex, and asks if we want drinks. So we rushed to order them. My wife gets her drink in about 2 minutes. My iced tea takes about 20 minutes, we had already started to eating our appetizer at that point. My wife ordered the catch of the day but we told the waiter we wanted it made oreganata style instead of the tomato sauce with olives, capers and anchovies. Our food comes out and guess what, her fish is in the tomato sauce. We inform the waiter and he said he thought she wanted the fish encrusted with oreganata. WHAT???? So now I start to eat my meal and he says it'll be right out. WHAT? Right out? How? Needless to say that I was done eating by the time my wife's food came back. Which included the clams and shrimp that were obviously cooked a second time and extremely rubbery. My baked chicken vodka parm was kinda dry. I ordered extra mozzarella based on the pictures I've seen and while there there was enough cheese it appeared to be the sliced kind of mozzarella because it was extremely thin and plastic looking. The waiter comes back to see if I want and grated cheese and I say yes. He puts one small spoonful on my dish and starts to walk away. I ask if I could have the cheese on the table and he leaves it. I've never been to an Italian restaurant that doesn't have grated cheese on the table for the customer to use while eating their meal. Do we want dessert? Are you joking? We asked for the check and left a $6 tip for a $93 bill which was probably too much of a tip because he didn't deserve a penny. Maybe if they hired staff that actually pays attention to the customer I would consider going back but that's not likely to happen based on our experiences here. Very sad. Also they should get rid of those horrible metal chairs that you can barely fit your butt in, it's not a cheap place so why the crappy chairs? First off place is much smaller then i thought so keep that in mind when planning to go- inside saw maybe 10 tables Tops (didn't see the outdoor space). Food was good, but nothing AMAZING. The baked clams wash my favorite dish! The bread crumbs were fine and not sandy. We also got The Caesar salad...again good but nothing amazing. On a cold Saturday night, we went to Ita Kitchen to celebrate, my brother-in-law's birthday. We arrived a few minutes after 6pm. The host took us to the outdoor dining area; that surprisingly turned out to be an enclosed, heated large tent. It was nicely adorned with artificial spring flowers. My cousin, who came all the way from Teaneck, NJ did a great job decorating with the balloons and souvenirs. We were on the right end, while another birthday party was on the left side. It was a little tight of room space, but we made it possible to have a great time! I enjoyed one glass of Chardonnay. The service was outstanding, and so was the food. My favorite appetizer were the risotto pesto fritters; tasty, fluffy and tender filling. The salad was also amazingly delicious and quite simple: baby arugula, chopped tomatoes with sliced red onions on top. The vinaigrette was nice and tangy. For the main course, I had the sauteed shrimp, on top of a layer of wilted spinach. Very simple and delicious. The pasta platter that was brought to the table, was for sharing. The pasta was a little too al dente for my liking. The best for last, was of course, the dessert. Tiramisu was delicious! Smooth as silk with a great mouthfeel. Review of ITA Kitchen (Bay Shore location)! My husband & I dined last night for our wedding anniversary and enjoyed ourselves. We had a reservation and were seated right away. We started with flat water, a margarita, & a glass of Prosecco. The margarita was excellent. The Prosecco was a bit warm and served in a wine glass (I'd prefer a champagne glass). We order fried calamari with marinara sauce- this was 'eh. Bland and chewy. For dinner, I had Linguine White Clam Sauce (a huge portion with tons of clams, but it did lack salt and pepper). My husband had the burrata ravioli with truffle pesto in a fried chicken bowl with the fried cheese "crown" and he said it was one of the best meals he's ever eaten- it was HUGE (and expensive)! We also ordered the bread basket, which was warm and delicious. We ordered a bottle of IT Locations red blend wine with dinner and it was excellent. Dinner for 4. We got an early reservation -4:45pm and we were the first ones in the place on a Saturday. Definitely more of a trendy place. We found it on Instagram and wanted to try it so we took whatever they had available... definitely think they do a staggered reservation so tables are not being seated at the same time causing backups which is nice. Service was very attentive. Menu is pretty large and they seem to be fairly accommodating if you want to switch a type of pasta in a dish. They have a smaller wine/cocktail list offering both glasses and bottles. We felt a little cramped in the corner but made it work. I got the ITA spicy rigatoni crowned (crown not pictured) Crown = fried mozzarella and it was 100% worth it. The rigatoni was cooked perfectly and the spice in the sauce was just the right amount. Portion was large but it wasn't a dense/heavy meal like most pasta dishes are. Boyfriend got the gnocchi with truffle cream sauce on a chicken cutlet bowl... the chicken cutlet bowl is not on the menu - we specifically asked the server and he said "ehh because it's early enough, it should be okay" because we were dining with someone else wanting it too so unsure if they will make it throughout the night. The sauce was pure truffle and I LOVE a good truffle sauce but it was definitely lacking other flavor like cheese or cream. The gnocchi was over cooked, not yet mush, but very very soft. The chicken cutlet bowl was so thin! Props to whoever is in the kitchen pounding that but for most of it, it felt like you were eating 2 layers of breadcrumbs with no chicken.. should have expected that with the size of it. SAVE ROOM FOR DESSERT! Definitely the standout and our table definitely had trouble deciding what to get. We split the deep fried rainbow cookies (highly recommend) for those that don't know rainbow cookies are almond cake which is the best cake known to man... Split the chocolate tort which was rich, dense and warm. Server described it as as a dense lava cake and that was a perfect description. Also split the cannoli crumb cake and that was very light and fluffy. It was essentially a cinnamon crumb cake cut down the center with cannoli filling. The food was very good overall, with the highlight being the Gnocchi. They melted in your mouth like little marshmallow pillows, they were excellent. The baked clams were small for the price and underperformed and the kids chicken parmigiana was made with grilled chicken which was a huge miss. The bread served with oil had no seasoning and was in need of something to spark the flavor. Calamari was 7/10, crumb Italian cake was 9/10, Burrata Ravioli 8/10, Chicken Picante 8/10 and rest of the food was at par for sure. I first heard about ITA Kitchen from an Instagram post my favorite butcher posted. I quickly secured a reservation for my foodie group and looked forward to dining there once I perused their menu. After a 3 hour commute in teeming rain, I easily found a spot in the bus depot lot nearby and made my way in. COVID restrictions are loosening up, and while I walked in with a mask (I didn't know their mask policy), I soon saw that the two people working at the host stand did not have masks on. It was a mixed bag with staff, some wearing them and some not. This is our new normal thanks to so many people being vaccinated. Tables were spaced apart and the main dining area is roomy, with the ductwork in the ceiling exposed, or what I like to call "industrial chic". THE GROWS: The comfort of the seating leaves a lot to be desired. I don't expect to settle in to a seat and take a nap, but the cushions in the booth seats were awful. My group of 6 were seated in a booth located in a small alcove, but the one cushion that spanned across was slanted and the floor looks like concrete with an epoxy glaze. So after a few moments of sliding down in the seat, my feet sliding on the floor and me tightening my core in order to stay seated, I knew that this would not be a comfortable space to enjoy a meal, much less one I had been planning and looking forward to all week. I asked for a change of table and we were accommodated. The next time I dine here, I will be sure to wear rubber soled shoes and a clothing material that is not too smooth. Sounds crazy to put this in a dining review, but had I stayed at the table, I wouldn't be able to say what I am about to regarding their food. Love the decor, hate the seating options. THE GLOWS: Each and every person on staff was friendly and no matter what was requested, they were able to accommodate (allergies, replacement utensils, refills, etc.). Seconds after sitting, we were given fresh water, and a dish with 6 bunches of bread--a welcome touch which meant each of us got 3 small slices without having to wrestle a loaf and all put our hands on something the rest of us would be eating. A bottle of olive oil with seasoning was also given to us. Our server reviewed the specials in detail and was well-versed in the dishes offered on the menu. He answered all of our questions and promptly took our orders. Most of us ordered the rabe and sausage egg rolls with cherry pepper aioli. If you don't like spicy, ask for the sauce on the side, since it is served with the sauce generously poured on top. Beyond the beautiful presentation of this dish, the quality of the sausage and broccoli rabe stuffing was superior. My tablemate got the sauce on the side and I happily added more to mine because if you are a spicy food lover, this sauce is divine. For our entrees, several of us ordered the chicken ala vodka, which came out in its own individual cast iron skillet. A huge pounded breaded cutlet was served atop penne vodka, with melted fresh mozzarella atop, covering the entire dish from edge to edge. To say I loved this dish is an understatement. My friends also boasted about the eggplant tower and meatballs, as well as the spicy rigatoni entree. All of our entrees were served with a sophisticated presentation, all plates were hot, and the food itself was memorable. Portions are extremely generous. I have a large appetite and was only able to eat half of my entree. Our server was attentive and brought us to-go containers. Since I was impressed with the chef's vision, menu, and so far the food, I opted to have dessert, despite being full. I asked my server how the coffee was, and he told me, "I am a coffee snob and I love it." A man after my own heart. I ordered a cup of coffee, which came out in a large mug with cream and sugar. The desserts are all made in-house. Our server told us briefly our options: coconut tartufo, fried rainbow cookies, cannoli-stuffed crumb cake. He mentioned some others, but those three were the show-stoppers. Seconds after my coffee was delivered, they placed our desserts in front of us. The crumb cake with cannoli stuffing was huge, large enough to share. The crumbs were over an inch thick, the cake part was fresh and moist, and the cannoli stuffing was creamy and not overly sweet. I will definitely be returning, albeit in different footwear so I don't go sliding across their (beautiful) floor. Highly recommend. I am looking forward to sampling more of the chef's menu and I might throw in a brunch experience, too. High-quality food for a midpoint price. I say that is a perfect combination. read more

Came here with a group of friends for a girls night/ birthday celebration and we had a great time! The drinks were awesome, they even had a specialty drink for fallen officer Diller which I thought was awesome that they were supporting a good cause. I truly enjoyed the table side mozzarella and the meatballs! For dinner I had the spicy rigatoni which did not disappoint. Overall it was a great time, great food, drinks, vibes, and service. So I have been here twice, once at the bar and once in the dining room. Both times, I was impressed. The decore is super cute ind totally Instagramable if that's your thing. The service was excellent. The servers were knowledgeable, accommodating, and made excellent recommendations. The food was absolutely amazing.
