Small new Italian restaurant in town that barely has six tables and at first glance seems like just another simple pizza and pasta place. I was told by the waitress that the chef worked for a larger corporation and wanted to do his own thing. Perhaps the idea of a very simple, no-frills environment should be under-rated. Everything clean and simple, just like the menu. We ordered a ham and pineapple pizza, Stromboli, and my wife got the chicken Marsala. It's not really a fast-food style of restaurant despite the name. It does take a bit to get the food, but I think that also is because it is hand-made which I think the idea of Italy Express detracts from that. Aloha pizza $14, chicken Marsala $14, Stromboli $11. As they are relatively new the waitress gave us some garlic knots on the house. They're pretty good. Bottom line the place is pretty good and I might come in to try the lunch specials with work friends sometime. I think the ingredients are pretty solid and it comes out in the level of food that comes out. House dressing was pretty good on the salad. They don't keep anchovies though which I always think is a shame if you have a taste for that. Worth a visit for local Mounders. read more

You walk in to a mini Italian cafe, greeted by an Italian woman... we ordered to pick up so our visit was short but I absolutely want to go back and actually eat there in the small but true to Italy. Everything is as you would expect fresh and made to order. You have to wait a little bit for things to be cooked but that is a small price to pay for a perfect meal. And likely because we ordered the entire entree menu. Make sure you order multiple tiramisu if it's more than three people sharing it. This place is as authentic as it gets. Service: This is the benchmark for every major restaurant chain. This place keeps it small and cozy but the waitress remembers us and we remember them, everytime. Small Italian eatery, not fancy but the food is excellent! I had the Italian Duo (chicken parm & fettuccine alfredo). The chicken was tender and the sauce delicious. Great new Restaurant! Went this Sunday, enjoyed the Garlic knots (5 of them very good size), The Lasagna and the Italian Duo Parmigiana. Both were excellent! The Lasagna was not a large 3-4 layer like you see at other places, but was amazing. I felt like i got more cheese and meat vs overloading on noodles. The chicken on the duo was cooked to perfection. Though small in seating capacity, there is nothing small about portion sizes nor the fantastic, personalized customer service!
