Calamari drink with mango 5 out of 5, but the sandwiches...well it's expensive and 3 stars average. Not our favorite. Homemade lumpia, 4 out of 5 stars. Good, but would like more meat and spices for flavor. So their sandwich was very fatty, and yes its had pork belly, but it was just like fatty meat and sauce. The egg was very underwhelming and the whole thing was very average. Like it tasted like any other breakfast sandwich.

Izzy & Wooks is a Filipino inspired food stall inside Saluhall SF which connects to IKEA. They serve up sandwiches, rice bowls, desserts and drinks! I ordered the Inay's BBQ chicken bowl with half rice & half salad. The chicken pieces were tender and grilled to perfection. Love the ample amount of greens on the side. It is not spicy. If you're looking for spicy you can try their chicken sisig bowl. You order on the self serve iPad. The food was a bit of a wait, around 15 mins but they make everything fresh. Good place to drop in for lunch. Saluhall lost a lot of businesses so good to support what's left.

Tamarind Hot Chicken and a calamansi mango cooler

Izzy & Wooks just opened at Saluhall this week! I've been wanting to try them for a while.. since they were at the Metreon actually. And I got the opportunity this weekend. I got the tamarind hot mochiko chicken sando, and it was delicious! The chicken was incredibly juicy, and the breading was the perfect thickness and crispiness. I enjoyed the elote slaw, that also added a nice crunch. As far as flavor, it had pleasant tangy and citrusy notes from the tamarind oil, balanced by the acidity from the pickles. And the soft brioche bun tied it all together. The heat was mild as described on their menu. But I think I'm going to go for the scorpion next time. But if you can't tolerate heat at all, they do have their regular mochiko sando. I also got the mango calamansi cooler, and it was really refreshing and not too sweet. Service was friendly and I got my order quickly. I went here on a Saturday, so it was pretty quiet. There were a few groups of people meeting up either for work or to play RPGs. Izzy & Wooks is also at the Ferry Building Farmers Market. But check them out at Saluhall if you have the chance.

Grand reopening was yesterday and I missed it because I was so tired. So today I'm in to try it! Got the bbq chicken bowl mango Calamansi drink and it was what I needed to replenish my energy. I got it with all rice vs the rice salad mix. It had some red cabbage and beets, also a little cauliflower. Beets is something I never had with my Filipino dishes and I liked it. Innovative. The mango calamansi was super refreshing I might get another cup. I liked the tender chicken. Warm, freshly cooked, you can tell it was just made! Seems like staff are still being trained yet they are really friendly and doing great! Currently no line as it's slow at 4pm, but I bet it was busy here yesterday with the live dj. I see myself coming here again as I really like the chill vibe here people on their laptops locked in their projects etc. I'll most likely get this bowl again or when they come out with the jackfruit bbq bowl. I believe I tried this spot in the past when it was downstairs. Happy to be back!

They contain three essential ingredients to my heart: mochiko batter fried skin, chicken thighs (I think), and ancestral hospitality of the Philippines This ROCKED. My favorite type of fried chicken breading is that cornstarchy shell like Long John Silvers, but they achieve it with mochiko which is way better. My spicy profile myer Briggs identifies siracha/tobasco/tapatio similar to ketchup (not super spicy) and the tamarind chicken sandwich was similar heat. I am looking forward to the spicier one next go My buddy got the Manong chicken sando that I don't see on Google or DoorDash, but it had chicken and pork belly and holy s**t that sounds great. I tried alluding to him that I wanted a bite and he alluded back hard that he did not want to share

A few days now on yelp, Izzy & Wooks had earned its kiosk spot that replaced the vegan Mexican cafe neighbor inside Saluhall. It's fine to have Filipino burgers let alone lumpias. Before this food company moved from Westfield, Izzy & Wooks still going strong. Their lumpias were just as good as the ones from Sarap Shop! The entirety of Westfield of Market St, including its concourse food court, was completely wiped off clean due to financial crisis. And it's also scary to see some other businesses closing down due to their lack of customers. So other than Izzy & Wooks during the grand ceremonial opening, there's also Smish Smash, Cheezy Pizza, and Curry Up Now. Let's not forget IKEA next door that always provides their national dish such as the Swedish Meatballs! The bottom line is that we must support small local businesses to keep them running with still enough customers after shopping hours.

Longasmash Burger Tamarind Hot Chicken House-Made Lumpia (8pcs) Fries

Food was just what I needed for this SF trip, crispy chicken and solid fries. Was wandering around union square and remembered there was a food hall nearby, stumbled in only to find Izzy & Wooks on the top floor. Love the chicken sandos, couldn't get enough of them. The longasmash burger could be a bit better however since mine was a little over-charred, but overall loved the vibe this place gave off and will come again next time I'm in SF (much love from DC filipinos)

    Menu

Honestly 15/10, the food here is amazing & so fresh! The chicken is crisp and definitely not dry. The lumpia was delicious, the sauces are excellent. I totally recommend the Crispy Mochiko sandwich and the Tamarind hot sandwich. Amazing, chef's kiss

Great sandwich! Bigger than I expected. Nice and crispy chicken topped with pork belly. Food came out relatively quick with no service issues. Nice, quiet food hall to take a break next to IKEA Definitely recommend

Sandwich has delicious ingredients that are sadly minimal in portion and drowned out by the bread. We visited their pop up at the Ferry Building Farmers Market on a Saturday and ordered their Ultimate Bacon and Egg. Sandwich was large enough to split between two and well priced. The bacon was especially delicious but the sandwich did not look anything close to the massive sandwich advertised on their menu. I ended up removing one of the buns to try to make the most of the ingredients. Sandwich could easily be 5 stars if they bulked up on the star ingredients.

    The Manong Burger

There were about nine of us who came to eat after watching a show. Most of the food we ordered were good except for this take out I brought home for my son. The Manong Burger was not rare but raw. My son was not able to eat it at all.

My family and I tried out this place which was tucked away inside IKEA's SALUHALL. At first glance on their menu everything sounds nice and looked reasonably priced, but I have to say some stuff were not worth it. Like their french fries when they arrived for instance $4 for a singular tiny small plate (sadly not pictured, as I was a tad bit disappointed) it wasn't like it was fancy or topped with anything it was just plain regular french fries and it was way too crispy like overly fried and tooth chipping. My husband and daughter got the Crispy Mochiko Chicken which tasted good again french fries serving super small like feeding a small child portion. Chicken sandwich was eh good. I had the Inay's BBQ Chicken Bowl it came with some green sauce that wasn't flavorful for me. The bowl I think presentation wise was aesthetically pleasing to look at but and it was fresh ingredients, but flavor wise it was a bit lack luster. Like please don't be afraid to season a bit more just a tad bit not too much. Service was nothing to complain about staff was cool and friendly. Will I eat here again no. Over priced and food was eh ok to me. Nothing wow that would bring me back it is very instagrammable though.

    Ferry farmer's market, 6/28/25

This is an unusual business name, somewhat reminding me of Star Wars. My curiosity was piqued when they first appeared at the Saturday Ferry farmer's market (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=48&select=DdCsoRkEgmfFflrBSZ1ImA) in early July but had lunch plans for the ensuing visits. A few weeks later, I made a point to stop and try their food. Walking up a little after 10 am, an auntie took my order after I asked her for recommendations. I ordered a couple items, paid, and left my name and cell # for them to call me when my order was ready. Since I was finishing my shopping, I started on one item about a half hour later, having this as my breakfast. I tried the Izzy Truff smash burger (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=3VPyl15poNsKPu5dBbip8Q), described by this sign (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=48&select=XyRM5Fm__cvenvyxBJwbEQ). When I bit in, a smile grew on my mouth, an obvious sign of approval. The mix of ingredients were perfect as all of the flavors were balanced. I usually like my burgers on the juicy side but this was delicious. Here is a side view of my burger (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=BEfk9xGHthZZ4b0Tw45M_A). Besides that, I got the shiitake & black garlic arroz caldo (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&select=rUB2-O9Uiz4AiC_Od5ADKQ), described by this sign (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q&start=48&select=7R0b-vfpZHlwRyoOFICFCw). Wanting to try it fresh, I tried a few spoonfuls as I had lunch at home a few hours later. Like the burger, the mix of ingredients made for a tasty hearty porridge, something akin to Chinese jook. The garlic was the dominant flavor as expected. I steamed the remaining portion the next day for lunch, a perfect pairing for me leftover cruller (fried Chinese bread) from that popular jook place in San Bruno from my Thursday lunch. There was shredded chicken for a texture change. I would get this again. The auntie was friendly and very nice in recommending my items. Looking forward to exploring other menu choices. Also learned that I can they have a brick and mortar a few blocks from my office in the Metreon on 4th Street. It's still more convenient for me to patronize the Ferry farmer's market since it's a lock on my weekly schedule.

Their lettuce is shredded but fresh and crispy. The salt content is just enough to bring out the flavors. And the overall composition of their sandwiches are very well proportioned. The one casualty of DoorDash was sogginess by the time it arrived. That's not a knock on the sandwich, it's just the reality of ordering something like this for delivery.
