Went with my family this morning and had Angel as our waiter. He was really friendly and efficient. Our food was taking a little bit long and he noticed another table got served before us. I saw him ask someone to check on our food as we were waiting longer. After that, our food came out in just a few minutes and they had apologized for the long wait and took full responsibility for something my family and I weren't really worried about just yet. And to top it off, the food we had was great. My husband had the chicken fried steak and I had the mulitas. Everything was really good and if we are ever around Elk Grove again, we will definitely be back. read more

We love supporting small businesses and Jamie's Cafe is absolutely deserving of our support. We've enjoyed many breakfasts and brunches over the years as a couple and with our family. Their menu is varied and everyone always finds something they love. My favorites are their French Toast and Pancakes while my hubby and boys enjoy the Biscuits and Gravy, Dad's Mash Up, and Breakfast Burritos. The serving sizes are hearty and everything is delicious; you can't go wrong. Service is always friendly and quick. They have a cute little patio and inside seating, too. Very nice place to have breakfast/brunch. It was super packed Sunday late morning but we were seated right away. Our waitress came to our table quickly & took our drink order. I ordered their special (which was on their menu outside) the chori-queso omelet with a side of potatoes (I added peppers & onions). My partner got their country fried steak with biscuits (but he ate it so fast, I didn't take a picture). The food came out pretty quick, especially for it being so busy. I wish the food was a little more seasoned but we had salt, pepper, ketchup & hot sauce. It was super filling & well portioned for the price. Great place for breakfast or lunch. I have stopped in a few times and have loved it each time. All of the staff is always so sweet and they're so friendly and really great about making sure to check in on you throughout your visit. We dropped in a Thursday mid morning and it was busy. However they always seem to steady flow of customers. We started with water and peach mimosas. YUM! I went with my favorite which is the breakfast burger. It's a delicious patty with 2 strips of crispy bacon and melty cheddar cheese. You also get an egg any way. I always choosy over easy. The runny yoke just makes this burger. I got it with potatoes which were good with hot sauce and ketchup. An EG must try breakfast spot. read more

My friend and I decided to go to brunch today and check out Jamie's cafe. There was barely any wait and their service was quick. They were all so attentive and worked great as a team. I had the deep-fried French toast with strawberries/whipped cream. It came with eggs and breakfast meat of choice...I had bacon. Breakfast meeting at Jamie's (so didn't take pics boooo), of which I was not familiar with prior to the meeting. Alyssa was our server who took great of us. I ordered the chicken pesto sandwich with a side salad. Not sure if the pesto was house made but it was delicious. I was feeling nostalgic when ordering the salad and asked for Thousand Island (the only dressing my parents would order for us growing up lol). Most people don't include salad dressing in their reviews...but that Thousand Island was amazing! I thought it's just Thousand Island Candace, come on! First time being here and I have to say this is a hidden gem in Elk Grove. I wanted a spot where they had mimosa so decided to give this place a shot. It turned out to be an amazing experience. First off, we ordered the mimosa by the bottle and they gave us different flavors to mix it with. We tried mango and pineapple. We ended up drinking the same amount compared to if we went somewhere that had bottomless mimosa. For the food, I ordered the chicken fried steak, over medium eggs and a side of toast. The portions are huge! I ended up finishing everything but no regrets were made. I had food coma when I got home. Next up, Our waitress was hilarious and flat out amazing. One of the best service I've ever had in my life. Made sure we were taken care of and even though we were waiting for some people to arrive, she was letting us know that we should place it before this party of 12 was about to order. It's the little things that I appreciate. Tables were spread out and clean. Social distancing is taken very seriously here. It wasn't crowded at all so we were able to get a spot quickly. Me and my girl came here to eat. Friendly service I can actually say that. But food was okay until my girl found hair on her toast and i requested no bell pepper in my scrambled eggs. Well... guess what? There was bell pepper in my scrambled eggs. I looked at the receipt and she didn't even put it in for no bell pepper. We've been here countless times over the years, it's our breakfast place of choice since live pretty close in the Lakeaide/Laguna West neighborhood. The last few times we've noticed a change in service. Today, we go in and there's a table ready but the host, young guy, thin and taller with lots of dark hair tells us it's gonna be 5 minutes. He went back to the to go order area hanging out and kinda working. We wait patiently and I tried to make eye contact with him like "can we sit at a table now?" but he never looked our way. Just kinda hanging out and not be cognizant of the front door. We see a few couples come in but are never acknowledged so they end up leaving. After 10 minutes of being there and not being seated, my daughters asked if we could go to Huckleberrys instead and we left. We'll probably come back but it'll be a while. read more

Our server was super nice and friendly and answered our questions about the menu since it was our first time here. The food was nicely portioned, very flavorful and delicious. I can tell it's a popular place because the server knew like 90% of the other customers and even knew what their fave orders were. That's how you know this is a place worth coming back to. This is my first time here and I've been eyeing at this place for a while after my chiropractor appointments. I came for breakfast and I believe this place is hidden and the service here is friendly and kind staff! Now food wise, I personally think I might have gotten the wrong item , which was the steak, and it was okay. I didn't finish my meal because it didn't give me breakfast vibes. Our first time trying out outdoor dining all these months of shelter in place and decided to try Jamie's Cafe! They take your temp prior to seating and then give you a card to scan as a menu from your phone. We ordered French Toast and Philly Cheese steak sandwich as we couldn't decide if wanted breakfast or lunch so we ordered both. Food came out quickly and was delicious! And the customer service was excellent. Knocked a star off because the chairs are SUPER uncomfortable! Great service and food! When I visit my family, we head to Jamie's or order takeout. Our recent visit was wonderful. We called ahead to find out if our party can have a table indoors as they get busy and it was raining. We arrived and waited for a few minutes as the staff put tables together and brought out three high chairs. The servers were great. They checked in on us and brought out what we requested i.e. disposable cutlery for kids, extra plates, to go containers. Their iced vanilla coffee is so good. Not sure what they use but it didn't taste like syrup, it wasn't overly sweet even with the whipped cream on top. The breakfast burger was extremely fulfilling. The sourdough toast was excellent and they added a generous amount of butter. The kids enjoyed their breakfast, which came out first. We didn't need to ask, greatly appreciate this. My boyfriend and I were in the Elk Grove area and wanted to try a new spot for breakfast/brunch. I took a look on Yelp and saw Jamie's Cafe had good reviews so we decided to try them out. We arrived and was surprised to see the open space. There is seating throughout (no booths if you're into that), which include high tables/chairs and small outside dining. They have a coffee bar towards the back, which I thought was pretty cute. Upon arriving we noticed some open tables and 2 parties ahead of us waiting to be seated, it took roughly 3 minutes before being acknowledged by anyone and once we were, we were quoted a 10 minute wait. We chose to wait outside and enjoy the breeze. 15 mins go by and we noticed that the family ahead of us still hadn't been seated yet despite their being open tables. After about 25 mins we were finally seated and then it took another 5 mins before anyone approached our table. Though we were super hungry, I think they were short staffed as we only saw 1 female waitress on the floor, a younger male mostly tending to the coffee bar, and a gentleman greeting, seating and checking on tables so we were understanding. It took us a while to figure out what we wanted to eat because they have a wide variety meals to choose from that sounded so delicious. We ended up ordering the Keto Breakfast Hash, Dad's Mash Up, and 2 sides of french toast. OH. MY. GOSH. The food was amazing. The amount of food is more than enough. The breakfast hash was the perfect mix and the kick of the arugula just brought it all together. My boyfriend was extremely pleased with his food and had plenty to take home. The prices range from about $11.99-$18.99, if I remember correctly. But for the portion size that you get it's well worth it. We had a very kind and sweet young lady as our server. She frequently checked in on us and ensured we were satisfied and made sure our waters were topped off during our visit. I am happy that we went here.
