I'm sorry to say, I will no longer eat at Jasmine. The food over the past couple of years have gone down hill and I think that they are no longer meeting health code. I ordered the pad thai with tofu. It came out in about 10 min. It was good but a bit oily. I have pad before where it was a lot less oily. As for the tofu, it was my first time having it. But it tasted like a dried up potatoe. I don't think it's supposed to taste like that. I will be back to try the curry and see if this place is worth it. It tasted more like thai fast food. So i will start by saying the service here is wonderful! But the food was just average. I ordered the tom kha soup and asked for shrimp but was given chicken. It also doesn't list on the menu that mushrooms and tomatoes are in the soup which would have been nice since I don't care much for either. The for my main entree I got the pad Thai which was just meh. Was very bland. Not bad but not that great. Overall. I ordered from this place for the first time, tonight. One little order of the 3 Dinner Special (Triple Delight). She asked if I wanted fried rice or steamed. I said fried. When my husband picked it up, she said, "You ordered the 3 Dinner Special with fried rice?" My husband said yes and paid. Brings it home... steamed rice. Also, in my triple delight, after much digging, I found one tiny shrimp. The quality of the meat was decent. The spring rolls weren't soggy. Order from here for delivery, and food was prompt. The summer rolls were good, if not a bit heavy on the lettuce compared to the other ingrediants. The reason for my low rating was the beef and chicken lunch plates I ordered. Where they may have been good, they had a a strong fish odor and flavor which prevented us from enjoying them, as if they were cooked it the same pan & sauce after a fish dish. Not appetizing at all. Service was great and the soup they brought as a starter was my favorite part of the meal. Unfortunately the food went downhill from there. We ordered pad thai, sesame chicken, cashew gal dish, and my daughter ordered a soup made with rice noodles. We tried this place because of the great reviews but the pad thai had a weird sweet taste and brown colored sauce. There also seemed to be as many beans sprouts within the dish as there were noodles. :-( The cashe Gal dish I ordered had nice flavor but way too salty and the rice and rolls were uneventful. Nothing special about them. I was not impressed with the rice. As for the sesame chicken, that tasted like fried battered "nuggets" smothered in sweet sauce. I could barely detect there was chicken. The noodle soup also was flavorful but soooo salty. There are much better thai restaurants in sa. Thai Dee is one of them. I am giving this place 3 stars as my colleague had a great meal not sure the name but it was a thin noodle w coconut curry sauce and veggies. I had the pad kee mao with beef. I am not sure if they are using a rice noodle but it is not wide and thin and is really doing the dish any justice. I ordered the lemonade..but I saw it more sparkling and tasted dazzling! Soon, the waitress brought me the Thai pad with shrimp that I wanted. I tasted spicy, hot, exotic, and good! Also, I ordered another exact one for my boyfriend, so the waitress was happy to said yes. I saw the owner was very busy. She brought me the exact order, I gave $2 tips to waitress on the card.
