We chose Jazmine to celebrate my daughter's birthday because we enjoy the variety of food they offer. We were greeted and seated quickly, and the food itself was good. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by our server's inappropriate comments toward my young daughter. At one point he asked her if she had a boyfriend, which immediately made me uncomfortable because she is a child. Since it was her birthday, he brought her a complimentary root beer float. When he set it down, he said, "It's a little big... are you sure it will fit?" At that point the interaction felt completely inappropriate and crossed a line. No grown man should be making comments like that to a young girl. We chose not to confront him in the moment because we just wanted to finish and leave as quickly as possible, especially since it was supposed to be a happy birthday dinner. It's disappointing because the food was good, but an experience like that makes it very hard to want to return. Management should really address how their staff speak to minors, because comments like that are not okay. read more

We just had an amazing meal at Jazmine. I've had Chinese food in Los Angeles and New York, and this was on a par with the very best. The ingredients were fresh, and the dishes were cooked to perfection, deliciously seasoned, and beautifully presented. I can't stress enough how delicious our meal was. The service was also very professional and attentive. We had the chicken wings appetizer, Peking duck, eggplant, snow pea leaves, shrimp with broccoli, and pork chow fun. While my sister was in town she wanted to have Sushi. It was Mother's Day weekend and Oceano was not taking any more reservations for the day. Didn't want to go to where we would have to wait an hour or more for a table. And we wanted to go somewhere where my other sister could get something to eat that was not Sushi. So my niece recommended Jazmine. Sushi on one side; Chinese on the other. There is no AYCE sushi. They did have a couple of combos. So I order a combo that included one long roll, 4 nigiri and an appetizer ($28) .. good value for sushi. My great niece and the sushi eating sister both order ala carte sushi. The other sister and my niece order Chinese food. While the combo dish was more than enough for me, I found it good, but nothing to write home about. Same reaction from the others. As a Chinese, I think this restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant in Reno area, They have the best Chengdu lamb. Very tender and tasty. The crab fried rice is to die for. In addition to that, the restaurant is very spacious with beautiful decor. If anything I can recommend, I wish they can add back more authentic Chinese dishes, such as bitter melon dish. read more

Our visit home continues with a stop to Jazmine restaurant. Jazmine is both sushi and traditional Asian food. Located in Damonte Ranch south of Reno and in the business district. Our visit on a Saturday evening beat the dinner rush and able to be seated quickly. Jazmine does accommodate large groups but do recommend calling ahead to reserve. I decided to try a sushi combination which came with a appetizer, 2 large sushi rolls and 4 two piece seafood rolls. My daughter tried the chicken Pad Thai, she enjoyed it very much. Sushi was perfectly prepared and also very good. Restaurant was very clean as well as the restrooms. Overall, Jazmine was a great experience and definitely worth trying. read more

Dined in with my friend Bobbie while working nearby. He's not big on sushi, but I ordered a long roll and some nigiri. They offer sushi here, but only a la carte. I have not been in since 2018, but my friend is a regular here. Henri was our server and knew what my friend was going to order. I ordered the same in addition to the sushi, but I asked for eggs in mine. I've had a few of their Chinese food entrees here and I recall it being good. I'll have to revisit that side of the menu on my next visit. We were sat in a quiet booth and the dining room mid week was quiet as well. There were only a few other patrons there. Jazmine is our go to for Chinese and some sushi appetizers when we're in the mood for a little of both. The food is always consistent, fresh and flavorful. Their potstickers are like no others imo.. large, stuffed full of yummy pork goodness with the best sauce there is. We always order two or more orders. I had my birthday dinner here last November and it was excellent! So fun to share entrees with a larger group on their larger round tables with turntable and large dining area. The food was even fresher and hotter in the restaurant than the great takeout we typically get. A few years back we had some hit and miss with takeout but lately Jazmine has been consistent, fresh and flavorful, with great fast service. Last night I placed a larger to go order and as typical it the same quality' and experience we've had in the last year. We ordered the Jazmine combo fried rice, potstickers, Crab Rangoon, Cashew chicken, Mongolian beef, Pad Thai, Peking pork, and our favorite Jazmine shrimp in the best sweet spicy sauce there is! Their combo rice is a family favorite as well. The only critique I have is occasionally the meat entrees are sliced thicker and can get a little tough. The Mongolian beef was thin and tender this time, Peking pork and chicken could have been sliced thinner. We love this great local restaurant close to us! read more

We started with the Crab Rangoon which was the best I've had in a long long time. Then the three main dishes arrived, piping hot and delish! The gravy on the chow fun was so tasty! My favorite. Looks like there's so many choices on the menu you'd be hard pressed to try them all! We were so stuffed and still had a lot to bring home. Portions are quite large and dramatic with large pieces of meat, bok choi and shrimp. Colorful too. Wish the "doggy bags" were paper and they'd let us ask for a straw, in our waters, IF we wanted them. I'm looking for earth friendly. Paper straw? Cool decor with the chain dividers. Updating my review since it's been a few years. Came here with a large group during lunch on a Friday. We made reservations and were promptly taken to our table. The restaurant was not busy, and we had 3 or more servers hovering over us at all times. A few of them didn't speak English, which is not a problem, but it did bother me that tea is not included with the meal. I've never been to a sit down Chinese restaurant that did not offer tea as part of the meal. That said, the food tasted good and portions were generous. Most of the items on the lunch menu are meant to be shared. If you want rice or noodles, you'll have to order separately. Btw, the poke bowl looked very good. read more

Dined in on the 13 of february around 5pm . The place was not full and we were given an option of a table or booth. The place is nice and the bathrooms are very clean. seated very quickly:) We were introduced to our very kind server we ordered egg rolls but they were actually fried spring rolls they were piping hot and they were so crispy . When I took a bit, I had to spit it back out. They were completely raw inside. Called to complain and demand a refund. They refused to refund me unless I brought the raw food back! I like their lunch special. They prepare the food and serve it to you quickly so you can be in and out on your lunch hour.

So I've been here several times and in those 5 times I've enjoyed the food immensely but the service each time got worse and worse. I then saw that they actually closed down for the month of July and re opened there doors Aug 18th. I called yesterday to ask if the online prices were the same as dine in. Whoever answered told me "we lowered all our prices actually so now everything is much much cheaper!"... when I came in today for dine in, the prices were very much the same ones and nothing had been changed or lowered. This made me think he only told me that to get me in the door and he probably has told others this as well but no I've been here several times before they closed down to "renovate" no renovations were made either it looks exactly the same. Anyways the prices are the same and not lower. Then the main reason I truly came back was because in them closing for a month and half they also said they were getting new team members and staff as well. Before today I never knew his name but today I finally learned it Jesse A. His service is one of the worst I've ever experienced. I've wrote reviews about him before, but never said his name, but I feel very strongly that he either needs to just be back of house or a host because his service is very bare minimum. It's not even bare minimum like what's below the bare minimum? That's what Jesse A's service provides. If I can come back and sit at the sushi bar that would also resolve my issue but they don't let people sit there for some reason. Jesse never refilled my water in fact he came over to tell me passive aggressively not to put my phone up to watch my show (since I dine alone, yes I do like to watch a show while I eat who cares especially when I'm alone) because he thought I was going to knock the soy sauce over when it wasn't at all. He then looked at my empty water that had no ice and didn't even attempt to ask if I wanted a refill. I asked him if I could instead of getting an appetizer if I could get another Nigri instead since it's the same price as an appetizer. He looked at me and said "No but we can do another roll instead so that way you get three ROLLS and 4 Nigri." Yes I heard him correctly he said ROLLS. Alright so I mark my decisions he takes a look and is like "no I didn't say that you can do that, I said you could have another Nigri and two rolls. It's ok just change it for me it's a miscommunication" this kinda made me want to walk out but I just wanted to see what would unfold here so I stayed. Another table was in front of me and Jesse also had that table, his service is so slow that the General Manager had to come over and take there order. Ok my order came out and completely disappointed I got one of the wrong rolls and only 4 Nigri not 5 like he said he would do In place of an appetizer. I even heard someone in the kitchen say " no that doesn't go on the dragon roll" so there definitely training a new chef back there too. Anyways I never got my Unagi or an appetizer. So I wanted to wait until I got the bill maybe they tweaked it for me since they forgot. Maybe I'd get some sort of dessert for that mistake as well as him never brining me extra ginger and a side of eel sauce like I requested. The only person who ever gave me great service was the man refilling waters he has a darker complexion and had black hair that was tied back. Now he should have been my server, he was polite, customer service oriented, and well trained. He even asked if I wanted ice for my water and I said yes please! (It's 96 out today idk why I never got ice to begin with thx to Jesse.). I then had to ask someone else for the bill since Jesse was just aimlessly staring around doing nothing. Jesse gives me the bill and after charging my card he didn't even say anything at all like "have a great night" "come back soon" nothing not a word. I had really hoped coming back he wouldn't be here but maybe this is the review the general manager needs to see in order for them to change his position or let him go entirely. I did see some new faces and they seem like they actually enjoy being a server so we will see but unless I get a reply from the manager saying that they will allow guests to sit at the sushi bar or that Jesse A is no longer working there, I won't be back. If you want to get great sushi and a lot at a Low price where they actually listen to you go ahead and try Tokyo Sushi that's where I'll be until then I won't be back to Jazmine. read more

We came here by request for my son's 23rd birthday. 9 Sushi rolls, Beef Chow Mein, General's Chicken, and 2 Egg Rolls later and we left full and happy. All rolls tasted fresh and the Chinese food was really savory. We came in on a Wednesday evening so it wasn't really busy but it also wasn't empty. The timing of our food coming out felt very appreciate...Chinese food came out within 15 mins and the Sushi rolls shortly after. Craving Chinese and seeing Jazmine delivering seemed like the perfect storm. I've loved Jazmine in the past, but it was prior to some changes in the ownership and kitchen team, but I wasn't concerned because the food had been so consistent I didn't think anything could go wrong. Well, it just wasn't the same. In general it felt like the regard for the food was what had changed most. The flavors were similar but felt muted, the textures were off, like what should've been crispy was mushy (and yes I've accounted for travel in that comment), and I felt some of the quality had disappeared too. The green beans were delicious but felt over cooked. The salt and pepper shrimp were good, but not a little mushy, and the Singapore noodles were pretty bland. The Peking pork was the best of it all, but the sauce was edging on overly sweet, and lacked the depth we've enjoyed in the past. Im sad to downgrade my rating here. Hopefully the next visit will bring it back. read more

We came here after Pisces was closed due to the dining room being too hot. We were unaware Jazmine does not do All You Can Eat (AYCE) anymore but were hungry so we stayed (thank goodness!). I don't remember our waiter's name but he was amazing and so kind. He recommended a couple combos we should get to mimic the AYCE experience. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and landed this restaurant in our top 5 Reno sushi places. This restaurant also has a Chinese menu available in half of the dining room. We sat in a large booth which was amazing for our 2 kids and everyone was incredibly understanding of the extra noise that sometimes comes with bringing your toddlers out to eat with you. The sushi came quick and my husband and I left with happy stomachs and left over sushi. 10/10 will be back. read more
