I went in for a simple oil change and apparently three men can't do it correctly. Two weeks after the oil change my car is seized on the 405. The police had to shut the freeway down to push my car off the freeway and the mechanic tells me my car doesn't have an oil filter. The oil filter had fallen off while driving. Jiffy lube analyzed my car and claimed responsibility so they sent my dealership a replacement engine. THE ENGINE THEY SENT ME DOES NOT EVEN WORK. My dealership is now trying to get a new engine. This has been going on for almost FOUR months and I still don't have my car back due to Jiffy Lube not being responsive or urgent. This has been such a disaster of a situation. Don't take your car here and just take it to some men that have been doing this for years and not 20 year old guys. ** They refused to compensate me for my distress and time. It took them almost three weeks to even come look at my car. I had to tow my car from their store to the dealership to get their attention. Been coming to this Jiffy Lube for at least 8 years or so, first my Honda, and now my Mitsubishi, always seemed to do a fine enough job, but this last time was terrible and I think they damaged my car either this past time or the last time I had oil changed. Took it in, waited, usually it's relatively fast in and out. Went out near the bays to look to see what was happening after 30 minutes only to be told an employee forgot to order my type of oil filter, they had just used the last one they had, and was waiting for Autozone to deliver new ones. I'm a relatively chill person, so while it was a little annoying, no big deal, I waited. They didn't do the normal "hey your filters (etc) need replacing", or even a spot visit to say everything's fine, like they normally do. After about a hour and 15 minutes, it was finally done, I paid , but when I got home to file the receipt I saw things like "oil leaks from engine", and a couple other things, but the thing that's got me worked up was one of the notes was "too much oil in engine" when THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I HAVE DOING MY OIL CHANGES. I'm worried no these guys damaged my car. Contacted Jiffy Lube corporate with my experience and concerns, got some boilerplate response back, saying the franchisee had been passed my message and that they would respond in 72 hours. Well, it's been 2 weeks now and multiple messages back and forth with Corporate who says they keep reaching out to : TEAM CAR CARE WEST, LLC, the franchisee which owns and operates Jiffy Lube Service Center 1970 but no response from the Jiffy Lube itself. Not sure what I have to do now, but thought they would have responded. Wanted to leave this Yelp review so other people are aware. read more

They're just so great, I wish they'd have a car wash, to boot. Actually my little Honda is flashing that I ought to go back, like today for their super speedy and great (albeit requiring more expensive synthetic oil change), and tire rotation service. They even remind you to check for online coupons to save some dough. Plus, I'm beginning to know how those racers feel in the pit stop. Though, I'd prefer to be one of the pit stop girls! Just called to get my car looked at for power steering fluid he said he could take a look at it. Rather than checked it thought that it was for and then as soon as I drove away he heard it had me stop you open the The top again. Saw that it was in fact Lo filled it up and sent me on my way. I took two cars here in the last week: one for my girlfriend's Toyota Solara last Monday, and the other being my Honda Civic during New Year's Eve. Both needed an oil change. Simple. Check. Toyota Solara: Good job and thank you for the service! This Jiffy Lube employee did a nice job keeping me up to date with the Solara. As for the Honda Civic on New Year's Eve: I asked for a fuel filter change and signature oil change service. After 45 minutes of tinkering with my car, the Jiffy Lube employee informed me that he could not install a new fuel filter because he was afraid of breaking the clamp that holds the fuel filter in the engine bay. He suggested I find a "mechanic" to have it installed. So I got charged for just the oil change. I find out that my car is missing the engine latch, and it broke off. How come you tried to hide this under my driver's carpet? This isn't a good way to start off the new year, but I don't think I'll be continuing my services with this Jiffy Lube branch again. I still remember your face. Note for employees: It is best that you inform EVERYTHING to your customers if you did something wrong/right instead of hiding your mistakes, and covering it up...literally. I am still pretty disappointed, and this is going to be a hassle for me since I work many part-time jobs, and getting a free day to deal with my car is difficult. :( read more

I came in earlier today and I am feeling completely dissatisfied with the service I got. My car was overdue for an oil change and I was originally planning to take it in to a Jiffy Lube location close to where I live but I opted to try this location instead since the previous one was horrendous after I spent three hours waiting for them to get to my car and do their work. But anyway, I came to this location happy to give Jiffy Lube a new opportunity. I kinda wanted to leave two stars because the young man who helped me was nice but ultimately I feel like the service was pretty far from perfect or perhaps even decent. When I arrived after a long and stressful day at work, I noticed there weren't any costumers before me which was a great feeling! I thought this was going to be a breeze compared to my previous experience. I asked for a simple change of oil and was told to go wait in the waiting room. The guy who was taking care of my vehicle quoted the service at about 15-20 min--fair enough. Turned out to be over 30 min... Next, after he was done he called me up to the register and asked if I had any coupons and I responded no but I mentioned that Yelp was offering a $12 discount if I checked-in (hence my check-in status). He said he would process it and I redeemed it on my phone and showed it to him. His computer gave him a message with some instructions but he didn't bother looking into, he just said it just wasn't going to apply. Why the heck not? Why is it being advertised when it can't be used? I felt like that was a total ripoff but was way too tired and stressed out to even deal with it. Once I got back to my car I noticed the sticker they put on my windshield read the wrong mileage and by then I was already getting quite irritated. Then I started reading my invoice with all these things he supposedly did to my car, including the simple stuff like cleaning the windshield which was totally untouched. Really, not even that? At that point I was just doubting the whole thing. Their waiting room doesn't have a window either so you can't see what they're doing or not doing. Moral of the story is I'm done with Jiffy Lube. I left feeling concerned and like I didn't get my money's worth. I definitely will not recommend to anyone! read more

Hard to get too excited about a simple oil change but, I believe in calling out GREAT Customer Service when I get it. Everyone there was very corteous, friendly, and knowledgeable and the shop was super clean. They also honored my $20.00 off coupon so, bonus! Edvin, in particular, went above and beyond. He put out some chairs for my husband and me since we didn't want to wait in the car. He also went over some maintenance recommendations (tires, filters etc), but only because I asked, NOT as an upsell ! We were in and out of there in 20 minutes! Great prices, service and efficiency. Waited 40 minutes for a simple oil change when they were not busy. I would be more understanding if they were slammed but not when there was only two other cars. They did not top off fluids but did put air in my tires. When they called me over to my car from the waiting area, they asked me to drive my car out of the car bay myself. (What? I have bad knees and did not feel comfortable walking on the uneven yellow panels on the floor). Im super bummed from the subpar service bc I was looking for a close Jiffy by my work. read more

As I sit here waiting for my lady's car to get an oil change, I cannot help but feel that this is THE Jiffy Lube to go to in the area. I've been to a few others and they were decent to say the least, but this Jiffy Lube is a big 5 star recommendation (at least for oil changes) in my books. We arrived here on a Sunday afternoon and the place was already busy. Immediately when we came in the mechanic came by and got our information. We only had to wait an hour, but during this whole time we (and we noticed the other patrons) were accommodated and checked on regularly. Once our car was ready to get into the garage the mechanic went over all the details and even answered our questions with ease and a smile on his face. Most impressive overall was that the mechanics cleaned the poop-stained windows of my lady's car! Man, if that isn't service, I don't know what is. Obviously don't expect a super pretty place, it is essentially a car garage. Otherwise they keep it tidy and clean. Complimentary water/coffee. Can't complain. So for all those who are reading. Bring your car on over. It's quick, easy, and customer service is great (for oil changes). If we ever get additional work here, I shall update my review. read more
