At check out she tells us they have washed our windows and vacuumed. We get to our truck and the window have not been washed and our truck was not vacuumed. So my husband and I brought in my jeep yesterday for an oil change and air filter. I know that the services include checking the tire pressure. When I got back my paperwork the employee had documented that all tires were at an accurate pressure and that they had filled them. When I got my car back I asked the employee why the check tire light was still on in my car. He said oh it'll go off in a few minutes. I went to the gas station and filled them myself. Tire pressure light immediately goes off. Obviously this is not the worst thing in the world I just can't stand when I'm paying for a service and they are dishonest. It makes me not trust the other "services" that I pay for. Update: Immediately started leaking oil!! What?! Message to the manager: is satisfaction guaranteed at your location? This is ridiculous. Let's start off with the beginning, So I've been planning to get my car serviced for my 1995 Dodge Neon. I had bought the car bout 2 months back and been riding her since then, so when it came time for her 1st oil change I was nervous to find more problems than before. The person that introduced me as well as convinced me to stop by was DAVID, unfortunately he wasn't there when I arrived but it didn't matter, I was greeted and met by KRYSTAL, she put me at each with her charm and smile and told me that the oils and things I've bought for the car will be looked at and inspected accordingly, the inspector of my car RJ was well-informed and told me about a couple of potential problems and gave me prices on them as well (2 belts, and rear brake set up problems :/) but I wasn't worried because I was in good hands I felt. And Finally, DEMETRIS (hopefully his name isn't spelled wrong, my apologies if it is) guided me through the process of my vehicle and educated me about the various oils and ratios for my car. HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, got my brakes done here and thet told me it would be about an hour and $600 and this was at about 1:30. Go to lunch they tell me i need rotors then they tell me i need calipers and $950. At 4:30 they tell me about 15 more minutes because it takes longer with new calipers. Finally at 6:30 they tell me they dont know whats wrong the brake pedal is going all the way down to the floor. Take an uber home. I call them the next day around noon and they now tell me my master cylinder is failing and that will be about $1300. The next day on sunday they call to tell me that the master cylinder did not fix the problem and they cannot fix it and they wont charge me for the master cylinder so it will be 950. I ask them if i can drive it and they say no. I tell them it seems crazy to have to pay 900 for a car that is no longer drivable. They brought the bill down to 750. So i had to tow the car with my own money to my mechanic who fixed it within 30 minutes. Jiffy lube put the calipers on the wrong side. So i also had to pay to fix their mistske. My mechanic provided picture of the mistake. read more

This is the worst service I have ever experience at any establishment. They cracked my oil filter housing and tried to say it was already cracked. Beware this place is the biggest scam. They tried to charge me 0ver $93.00 for a oil change on a Ford Edge and when I complained, they then dropped the price down to $63.00 using a synthetic blend which the Ford dealership only charges $37.99 for. When I complained they then dropped the price down to around $53.00 and then explained all the extras they did like cleaning my car, which by the way was not done. Came here for quick change. Car was done, but cashier took 30 min! Lets just say owner had dropped the ball on training. Sigh oh well. I also got a class action settlement card, which gave me a credit of $17. When I arrived they said they could not honor that class action settlement because this particular jiffy lube was not part of the settlement, but he would call his manager to see what he could do. Gave me $5 off, which he then gave to everyone else in line. On top of that, they took the longest on my car for no apparent reason. Grrrr. read more

This place was actually pretty friggin' cool in terms of service, honesty and product. I decided to stop here on my way into work this morning to get a quickie synthetic oil and filter change seeing as it was MUCHO cheaper than going to Acura (which i'm going to tomorrow on account of it being time for a big service!). Acura charges $80 for a regular oil change and another $50 ($130) for a synthetic oil change... Jiffy Lube charged me $80 for the synthetic. ($39.99 for regular oil) Now...the only sucky part is that I called Jiffy Lube up on La Brea in Hollywood to get a quote on the oil change and was told it was $69.99...so apparently the costs CAN vary from location to location. The Westminster Jiffy was out of the Penzoil so I had to get the 5W 40 Casteroil which cost me another $4. Ok, no biggy. I ALSO specified that I ONLY needed my oil filter and the oil changed and NOTHING else...no top offs, not tire checks, no cleaning...am getting that done at Acura!! JUST the friggin' oil stuff. So what do they do? Topped it all off anyway AND checked the tires AND cleaned the inside. Bless their little hearts but I was in a hurry! lol They did tell me that although they don't do brake fluid, I was low and should get it topped off as well as get my air filter cleaned (it's a cleanable one, not disposable). So they were very nice...I'd go again...just need to specify LOUDLY and FIRMLY to only do the oil stuff. All in all...in and out in under 30 on a non-crowded day. :) read more

This place will rip you off. I brought my 2013 Civic Hybrid (14k miles) here for an oil change and was quoted $89.99 because it requires "special" oil. Are you kidding me? I refused service and drove straight to the dealership. Dealer service price was $29.99 (without a coupon) and included the "special" oil. The dealer takes longer, but keeps my hard-earned cash in my pocket. Jiffy Lube lost a customer today. I've taken my Tahoe here several times, but when you think I'm a new customer because I've never brought this car here and you try to rip me off -- no thanks. Here's a tip for you. Treat people with dignity and respect. Don't overcharge, perform quality work -- customers will stay loyal to you and overtime you'll make more money because we will trust you. I went there for uber inspection and they said my brakes were bad.I got my brakes fixed went back and they stripped all my lug nuts because they used the electric power gun.They said go buy one lug nut and we will replace and it wont take long.Then they said 3 other lug nuts are stripped so we will take care of it.I spent 8 hours there from 1pm to 9pm because of incompetence. My car has been making noise in the left front brake because they took my braking system off and didn't put it back correctly. I had to take my car to my mechanic to get it fixed.It was horrible and I would never take it back there again. read more

Recently I found this place via Groupon and decided to have my car oil changed here. It was my worst experience with Jiffy Lube. Last time I changed oil at Jiffy Lube different location, they took an hour to do everything, contrary to Groupon advertised 20-min Signaturel Service Oil Change. This time after roughly an hour the lady, who I found out to be the manager, showed me the quote, suggested to do tire rotation additionally and also cabin/engine air filters. Moreover, she informed me of a nest in the engine bay and asked me for an approval to remove. I said sure and proceeded with another 30 min wait. After they finished, I drove off. Immediately before I entered the free way, my check engine lighted up and my car slowed down significantly. I frantically drove back and ask them to check the car. After another 15 min, they read the error code and told me it was an electrical problem; some animal probably chewed off a cable. They said they only changed the oil and were not responsible for any damage to the car. I found it to be ridiculous, since if what they said were true, I would have problems before coming here. I asked for at least some referral and be responsible for the car, since I had the problem only after coming here. Nevertheless, the manager refused to take any responsibility or write down any note over the event. Frustratingly, I left and frantically looked for a car technician in the area, and he told me it WAS NOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM! It was a FAULTY AIR MASS SENSOR! I briefly researched and found out it is related to engine air filter! The technician quoted me 300 for the repair. Grudgingly, I deposited money for the part and waited till the next day. In short, Jiffy Lube broke my car while changing the car oil. They refused to take any responsibility, they know nothing of cars beyond basic oil change and changing air filters. Highly do not recommend*** I came in for a regular oil change and was not financially prepared to cover the different problems that the front desk worker was suggesting to me. He said that he could just check them off now and see the final bill at the end and we would have no problems removing them if it was above my budget. The final bill came out to be over $200. I considered his recommendations and decided that I really could not pay for these maintenance problems today. The front desk worker continued to bombard me with deals that would help cover charges, but ultimately it still didn't fit into my budget. After he removed all of the extra charges and only left my regular oil change, the total came out to $50 and he said he would give me $15 off. I showed him that I checked into yelp and was able to redeem another $10 off coupon on a regular oil change and he responded with a sarcastic "wow," it was extremely condescending and I felt extremely disrespected as a customer. He continued to suggest that I "really like to take risks." The rest of the visit after this encounter was uncomfortable in the waiting room. I do not plan on visiting again. read more

Can't say enough about these guys here. Went above and beyond to help me. Car broke down across the street. They walked over to check it out. Brought to the shop across the street and did a computer engine check free of charge. Turned out my fuel pump was at fault, they quoted me and immediately went to work. Allowing me to watch closely and even teaching me in the process. Douglas the manager and crew Kevin Dias and Patrick are specifically the ones that helped and stayed to fix. Holy smokes! Nothing "Jiffy" about this! I've been a loyal Jiffy Lube customer for years, but I will NEVER go to this location again! The manager must have history working as a Time Share Salesperson. She gave the shame and guilt story to every customer during my nearly TWO hour oil change! Despite my repeated assertions that I didn't want anything but the signature oil service, she still tried to upsell me on brakes, filters, etc. Then she tried to charge me for some sort of premium service! After looking over the reviews, I think the phrase that sums it up is, "just not good service." I've had several issues with this Jiffy Lube in the past, a few examples: not putting air in the tires, losing my battery cover, over-tightening the lug nuts, and stalling my car several times because their employees can't drive manual... Yesterday I drive my car in, there are zero other cars to be worked on (4:15 pm or so). I come back 40 minutes later, everything looks good, but they haven't refilled the windshield washer fluid. I ask one of the employees if everything else has been done. The guy gives me attitude and says, "when we're busy we'll overlook the wind shield washer fluid..." But of course they weren't busy. They end up taking 20 more minutes to check over the car. I appreciate the second going over, but it has now been an hour, and we started with zero cars in front of me. Just not good service, and I didn't need the attitude from the employee. The only reason I like this Jiffy Lube is because there is a Taco Surf (happy hour starts at 2pm) in the same lot, so I can grab a beer and a taco while I wait. One thing though - aside from the rude employee with the attitude, the other employees were great. Maybe they should be trained better, but their customer interaction is above average. This place needs an adult managing the crew at all times - that would solve the issue. [Also, when I went in yesterday, my brakes were totally shot, both front and back, they didn't mention this at all to me.] --- Update: My original review was for two stars, but I am now dropping it to one star. Have you noticed how so many of the bad reviews are responded to by Jiffy Lube? Originally I thought this was pretty cool, they actually respond to customer's poor experiences at their stores. But this is not the case, I spoke on the phone with whoever it is Jiffy Lube put me in contact with, their response was, "oh, that's too bad that happened, that shouldn't have happened, thanks for letting us know." There was no effort to compensate me for the poor experience. Also, it isn't a manager who calls, it's just some guy who's job it is to speak with negative yelpers. So for those of you (like myself) that were thinking Jiffy Lube tries to make amends for poor service, they do not, not at all (but they dishonestly try to make it seem like they do) - hence the minus one star. read more

Went here to have a vehicle inspection done to drive for Uber and Lyft. They wanted to charge me for 2 separate inspections. The Uber inspection is EXACTLY the same as the Lyft inspection, and they were doing it on the same car, but wanted to charge me double. That's TERRIBLE customer service any way you look at it. That's the last time I will use this location (they're franchised). A caveat to this experience - Eddie the technician who helped me was outstanding. That's the guy who should be in charge. I ran the 76 station on Brookhurst and Hamilton for several years, and he's the guy I would hire to manage the place if it were my franchise. read more

Wow, I can't believe I'm this stupid. I know better not to go to these types of places since I've been screwed in the past but it's so easy to get sucked into cheap oil changes. Anyways I've got my oil changed at this location quite a few times and have always declined the additional up-sell and so was the case this last time. This time I just happened check the engine to make sure that the oil level was good. That's when I noticed that they didn't put my airbox back together after they tried to up-sell me on a new filter. The clasps were undone and the screw that holds the box in place was about to fall out. I can't believe that with 5 guys standing around the car they couldn't even manage to put the car back together. That's the last time they will touch any of my cars. A little update I just realized that they didn't add any wiper fluid which is supposed to be complimentary it's bone dry. Great Job guys! read more
