Jimano's is our favorite pizza. We order from here very often. They offer Alfredo sauce as an alternative to tomato sauce. Even though their tomato sauce is very good, the Alfredo sauce pizza is irresistible to us! We combine it with their excellent sausage, pepperoni and black olives on thin crust for a swoon-worthy treat. They are very generous with their toppings, especially the cheese. The breadsticks are unlike anything anyone else has to offer. Not dried up bread with some garlic and maybe Parmesan. But airy, puffy bites with the most wonderfully seasoned olive oil. At this point, we could be on the floor with our swoon. But then, we wouldn't be able to continue to eat. Arrives so hot you can burn your mouth if you're not careful. Amaaaazing! read more

OK, this place is in my parent's neighborhood and I have had this pizza many times while visiting and when I lived with them back in the day. We decided to order a pie after we got back from our Mother's Day celebrations. The pizza was ready fast and it was HOT when my brother brought it home. I love the cheesy goodness of this pizza. I wish there was a Jimmy's Pizza in Chicago because I can't get enough of this when I eat it! I had to contain myself because we all know that pizza isn't the healthiest dish around. Free large pizza flyer figured I would give em a try. Ordered delivery a thin sausage and mushroom. Pizza was lukewarm by the time it was delivered. Taste was not bad but not all that great. Sauce was ok but taste more like tomato paste. Sausage was good. Crust is the issue. I like some crunch in a thin crust so I order well done. This crust is kind of chewy like a frozen pizza. I've actually had frozen pizza with better crust. Overall the pizza is a 4 out of 10 I would not order again. Salad, well pictured you can see the difference from the menu pictures. First off it's is very small. Look at it compared to the fork on top of the container. Yeah pics are deceiving. Sliced up pepperoni pieces the size of a thumbnail and chopped up peperoncini's NOT whole. It's basically lettuce with pizza toppings for veggies. Again I would not order again. Even with a free pizza bill was $26. Delivery $4 and a tip? Too expensive if you ask me. read more

Pretty impressed actually. Was in town for work and wanted pizza, hotel front desk recommend Jimanos. Ordered Italian beef pizza with giardineira and side of wings. The pizza was tremendous! Was worried when yelped called the sauce sweet (had nightmares of Larosa's in cincinnati). Wings weren't anything special- next would just get a bigger pizza and ignore the wings. Service was also top notch. They gave us $3 off because we only did the Italian beef on half. Girl was very nice on the phone. Same with delivery guy who was even earlier than quoted. If you're in Gurnee - get your pizza here! And definitely order the Italian beef pie! read more

Excellent thin crust pizza, generous toppings and at a fair price. I've always ordered delivery and have never had any problems. Food comes within quoted time, always accurate. Courteous and professional service from every person I've talked to. As a single senior I can't justify paying $20+ for a small pizza but that's normal at other places I've ordered from. With Jimano's my bill has always been less than $20 - including a 20% tip. read more

I ordered takeout over the phone last night. The pizza (16 in mushroom and black olive) and mozzarella sticks were ready in 25 mins. They had a weekend special for $14.99 - 16in 2 topping pizza. When I mentioned the 20% yelp check in offer they dropped the price to $12. Just over $20 for the pizza and mozzarella sticks. What a deal! The pizza was hot and fresh. Definitely recommending this place. The staff is friendly and you can even eat there if you want as they have a few tables. read more

While historically our go to spot, tonight we waited almost 2 hours for pizza delivery because "they ran out of chicken". Ended up having to put son to bed before food ever arrived. Very disappointed with complete lack of communication. There are days you are high appreciated as a customer and there are days in which the employees act as though you are a problem to them. I love going to this place because you can tell the manager really wants to provide customers with quality service and food. The pizza by the slice is a great lunch time favorite. Plus, I highly recommend the BLT and Italian Beef pizzas. They are hands down the most unique and tasty pizzas I have ever tried. And for a place that specializes in pizza, there ribs are delicious. Really tender. Make sure to sign up for their email list. It's a great way to know about specials and get coupons. Oh, and they offer gluten free pizza. I think that Jimano's Pizza is the best pizza in Gurnee. I have had some of the best pizza in downtown Chicago and other surrounding areas, and I have tried others in Gurnee and there is no comparison. If you ever have a problem with your pizza or any order. You could always pick up the phone and Adam or Justine/ Managers, are more than happy to correct anything that you feel was not correct. We had coupon for this resturant and a friend recommended we order from them so we did. This was the first and last time. We ordered a 16" thin two topping pizza. The delivery time and temperature of the pizza was reasonable but the quality of the pizza was... there was no quality. The pizza grease had already stained the pizza box and there were visible pools of grease on top of the pizza. The vegetable was scarse. The next day the pizza crust had become spongy and the cheese was unusually dry. Also, an employee from Jimano's called asking for a unit number. When I stated it wasn't needed as I had to let him in he said it was needed for recordkeeping. Seconds after the call had ended the same individual I talked to was at my unit door with the order. Apparently he was let into the building and lied to me about why the unit number was needed. read more

There is a beautiful lady that answers the phone and takes her order and if you have any complaints she soothes with her beautiful voice. She is the key to me getting the best pizza in the world and if I have any complaints she cares them with her beautiful voice and her key to customer service she was the voice of an Angel! Her real job should be working with children because when it comes to me and pizza I had kind of like a child so does my man he hasn't met a pizza he doesn't like. Whether it's a dollar 99 pizza from the frozen section at Jewel-Osco's or this $50 jewels that we ordered just, yes multiple pizzas have a place in both our hearts. The best thin crust pizza in the northern suburbs hands down. I've tried a bunch of other places in search of a cheaper option but always end right back at good old Jimano's. I'm a pepperoni-tomato gal and since my daughter likes pineapples on her pizza, I just ask for a side of pineapples for her. My son is more of a pepperoni-sausage guy and we love the breadsticks too. Jimanos was our favorite pizza in the Gurnee/Lindenhurst/Round Lake area. Our family tradition, every other Friday, UNTIL they changed the crust. Twice in December we contacted them via email to inquire about the change. The crust now has a stale taste and has a cardboard texture. It's too bad because their pizza used to be amazing and for a great price. Three strikes and your out!!! Now we're on the search for a new pizza place. read more

Ordered a 16" stuffed sautéed green pepper & ground beef with lite salt. My order# was 67 taken by Mr. Measo at 5:47pm 1/22/13. First of all, the green peppers were not sautéed! Second, the sauce was extremely salty! Even my wife, who is the queen of salt kingdom said it was to salty! We had to scrape off the top layer of sauce just to salvage the pizza to eat it. It was still salty, but we managed. The reason I asked for lite salt was because I had two previous salt encounters with this location. We tried thin crust and deep dish before and the same thing. To much salt! I'm done! I'll go back to Giordanos or even mikes pizza house in Gurnee! My advise to Jimano's is taste your pizzas once in a while. Staff is nice though my pizza was salty. read more

While I was not blown away, neither was I dissatisfied with my visit to Jimano's pizzeria. I had a XL thin crust with roasted veggies and giardineria. I've had better and I've had worse. The breadsticks are worth the hype. All in all, money well spent. read more

I get why some people rate this pizza high, as everyone has different pizza tastes even in Chicago. This is not bad pizza, I'm giving it only 2 stars because I thought it was too salty. Its been 4 yrs since I reviewed Jimanos and we have been ordering from them for 5 years before that. Still outstanding. There deals have been crazy lately - like half off each pizza. Be sure to ask what deals they are running when you call. I recommend calling in your order and asking about what deals they have - tend to be alot better than what is on their website. read more
