    Been here multiple times and never been disappointed - I always leave super satisfied and full. my favorite dishes to get are the jajamyeon and jjampong- THE combo! Portions are big, and so so flavorful. Also gave their other dishes like Salt and Pepper Calamari & Signature Shrimp a try - I love those too! Seems mostly run by one person other than the cook - he's super nice and attentive. Am already a regular and will continue to be!

    The chinese food, jajangmyum and jins special shrimp was delicious. Its funny bc we ordered the wings app and it came after our entrees were served. But either way I would not recommend it. It was dry and tough. And the skin seemed old and thick. I thought what a great spot after Jins cupsleeve event. And even the address has the word astronaut!! Anyways....iykyk I think it might be hard for me to come back to this spot bc they dont validate anymore. Parking needs to be better so i can spend more time in this plaza and spend money... Parking is $2.50 per each 15mins. Check lots nearby for better flat rates. I wonder if the $5 one is still open and the one by the "mall"? Its been so long

    We came here while in town and I'm so glad we did. The service was amazing and so was the food! We had the sesame chicken bowl, bulgogi, and rice noodles. Everything tasted so good and the prices are reasonable.

    Good lunch specials. Good service. Attentive & even offered to watch my dog while i used the restroom. Which i truly appreciated. Bulgogi plate was sizzling and good. Enjoyed this on the outdoor area which was nice. But would definitely come back here again.

    Very quaint Chinese restaurant located at this Marukai Supermarket in Little Tokyo. Seating area is very limited but service was great. My sister and I got hungry walking around so we finally decided to eat lunch here. Tried the Sizzling Chicken Teriyaki Lunch Special....a generous serving plate but was not sizzling enough to smell the aroma of the dish!!! Bulgogi was delicious and sure was served with a generous amount serving in the platter.

    If ever in the area this is a great place to grab a great lunch special. Nice little spot in Weller court on the second floor. You can dine in or take out. I would recommend dining in to get the full lunch special experience. With the special you get a soup and salad with your meal. You get a healthy portion and it comes out freshly made. A little over 20 items to choose from. Great service and great food for a decent price.

    My favorite place to eat in Little Tokyo! The food is always house-made and absolutely delicious. I'd strongly recommend the cheese wontons as an appetizer! You are also provided a complimentary salad (and I'm not sure what their dressing is, but it's so good). The service is amazing! Our waiter was extremely kind and attentive. While dining in, I also took notice that there were some regular customers coming in and ordering takeout, and the waiter/host knew them all very well, remembered their usual orders, and seemed very kind. I loved that they took such care of their customers. The dine-in experience is somewhat small, but the vibe of the seating area is cozy and chill. I love eating in as much as carrying out. I highly recommend getting the jajangmyung (black bean noodle). This is my favorite restaurant to get it from and nothing tastes quite as good as here!

    It was my first time eating here and I have to say, I will definitely be returning! Customer service was fantastic. Very attentive and answered any questions we had on the menu. We ordered the Wor Wonton Soup and the Famous Black Bean Noodles! When he said the noodles were a comfort food, he was not kidding. It really did feel like we were eating at home in a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend stopping by if you're visiting the Japanese Village or Weller Court!

    Met up with some friends for lunch, one is very picky about her food and this place was approved. I arrived around 12 and shortly after we were seated everyone and their mother showed up. It got packed fast. Luckily we perused the menu beforehand so we knew what we wanted and even ordered for one of my friends running late. The lunch special includes miso soup, rice and a veggie egg roll. I got the jajangmyun. Portion was huge and it was flavorful. My friends had the beef chow mein and Bulgogi plate. They also enjoyed their food. I was in a rush to get back, so I really appreciated that despite the lunch rush, our food came out fresh and hot. Their happy hour specials are also pretty good, must come back!

    Okay... like someone else wrote, I wasn't expecting much, especially since I was the only one there when I arrived, but damn the 짜장면 (jjajangmyeon aka black bean noodles) slaps!! I've been searching all over Ktown for a good one, but I found most of them too sweet and greasy and lacking flavor depth... but this one is damn good. It has a great balance of salty, ever so lightly sweet, and umami without being so greasy that you see a layer of oil like some other spots!! Also loved the thicker consistency. (I hate when restaurants make it watery!) I added shrimp for some protein and it was cooked to perfection as well as the steamed veggies. The portion was crazy huge for a lunch set so definitely shareable with 3 people if you get something else. Otherwise it is shareable by 2. I wish it wasn't so close to because my waistline will be in serious trouble... The only reason it wasn't a 5 for me because the pork was non-existent. I found 1 piece. Lol. Wish there were more pork bits in the sauce, but it was so tasty and the service was great so I'm still happy! I'm genuinely happy kiddo right now.

    Probably one of the tastiest Chinese meals I've had. A preferred take out when I visit my mother in Los Angeles. I highly recommend!

Despite both dishes being pork they were so different and equally amazing in flavor. The pan fried potstikers which were CRISPED TO PERFECTION especially reminded me of black bean shortribs that you get from dimsum, fatty but hearty and had me wanting more and more each bite. The minced pork noodles were to no suprise, so good. Noodles tasted fresh, the sauce was umami with mushrooms and pork. While im not the biggest fan of mushrooms, i still ate it up. I feel it would be so good with some picked cabbage too to complement the saltiness. Most notable thing... THAT CHILI OIL. We probably used almost half the jar left at the table. It wasnt spicy at all, but it had this flavor that i genuinely have never tasted before. The texture of the chilli and sesame and the nutty flavor had me in awe. Enough to take two jars home... i would do it again. Servers were so quick, made sure everything we needed was at the table. Regardless of the crowd we were met with promptness and generosity. This that wonton place your girl tells you not to worry about forreal. Will be coming back despite the long drive from home.

(There is an à la carte menu available in the bar area.) I went very carnivorous on my selections, choosing the beef tongue carpaccio, duck sausage, and beef short rib. There was not a bad dish among these: The tongue was tender, soft, and delicate. The duck sausage was fantastically good as well; served with an apple jam atop Swiss chard, it was a sort of Chinese-Alpine fusion cuisine of which I never envisioned but instantly wanted more. While delicious, the short rib was overshadowed by its cabbage accompaniment. My server told me it takes four days to make that dish, and I would have happily ordered a full dish of just that. I would happily return to try the bar menu with cocktails or when the prix fixe options change. At $68 for four courses, Firstborn's prix fixe is one of the best fine dining offers in L.A. right now, and it makes a trek up to Chinatown worthwhile.
