We are back to our family's favorite restaurant! As always, best Beijing Duck I've ever had. Today we also got walnut shrimp, and that was delicious too. And again, no pics of the two ducks we got because we ate it before I remembered to take photos. Service is fast and friendly!

The elders some how discovered they have a soft opening. Real casual sit down restaurant specializing in chinese duck dishes. Staff is pretty friendly, and the dishes came out relatively fast. I think we had some sort of special treatment and got 3 different type of teas ( I feel like auntie and uncle got some sort of vip treatment.

Amazing food and service! Reservations are required in advance since there is limited seating. We ordered the duck, lobster, and fish with our reservation. This is my favorite Peking duck restaurant. However, all the dishes ordered here are delicious as well. Other highlights would be the house lobster, flavor is really good and the noodles are a great touch. Beef is also tender and the honey walnut shrimp is so so crispy. Cannot wait to come back.

They have a lot of tables inside so it is great for small and large groups. The waiters were also fast even though they were busy. We ordered their Kung Pao Chicken, Fried Tofu, Beef Noodle, Shrimp w Walnut, and Vegetable w Garlic. We decided not to get lobster since it was pricey. They took our order pretty fast and gave tea to drink. The pot of white rice is extra $1 if you order though. And their menu book doesn't have prices for some reason. Only the to-go menu has prices. Food was served in a decent amount of time, around 15 minutes. And all dishes arrived close together so we didn't have to wait long. The kung pao chicken is so good! Not spicy at all and very nice and crispy with good seasoning. It tasted delicious with some rice. The beef noodles were also delicious! It had good wok taste and was very flavorful. The tofu and shrimp were also good. None of the dishes were too salty and all were seasoned well and in pretty big portions, though I don't remember the exact price since they took the receipt away when we paid. But the meal was very worth and we had leftovers for lunch the next day. Such a yummy meal! I really enjoyed it! I am definitely coming back again!

My family and I used to religiously eat lobster noodles whenever we made a trip down to SoCal. The pick of the bunch was 100% Newport Seafood- no negotiations, no contemplations. Unfortunately, the last handful of times have left me extremely disappointed and heavily annoyed. The cost and wait times do not reflect what is actually being provided and most of our food ends up being left behind because it simply isn't worth the calories. In all honestly, I've grown a phobia w/ that specific restaurant at this point because of the countless letdowns. My initial taste of Boston Lobster was about 3 years ago and I had the most enjoyable meal. Due to our LA trip coming to an end, my BD thought we should do it big with some lobster noodles- for good old time's sake. I absolutely refused to go anywhere unless we would be giving Boston Lobster a visit! Sure enough, they did not disappoint! Dinner for 3 adults and 1 toddler consisted of: *Boston House Special Lobster [no spice] + Garlic Noodles for an additional fee. Medium Size 5-6lbs minimally. *French Style Beef Cube *Sauteed Snow Pea Leaves We ate like mf'n KINGS!! Each and every dish was spectacular- even the greens! While we should have gone with the small sized lobster, I'm proud to say we went down with an honorable fight. Lmao!! The lobster was cooked to perfection- meat was sweet, succulent, and so darn tender. The garlic noodles soaked up all of the delicious lobster flavors and were not overcooked and mush. The bo luc lac was flavorful, juicy, and complimented the bed of lettuce, onions, & tomatoes so well. The snow pea leaves weren't tough and old- this truly was a simply yet magical dish. Service was on point and the staff continually came by to swap out our plates full of lobster shells. Above all, there was no wait with our initial arrival. Parking is easy given the fact that BL has a pretty big parking lot specifically for them. 5/5 stars!! We dropped over 3 bills here and it didn't even hurt. Lmao- this place is that damn good! Don't sleep on this joint, y'all. Boston Lobster is the real deal when it comes to authentic Chinese/Vietnamese cuisine. This spot should be so much more hyped than it actually is!

We were seated right away when we arrived, although it took a while before anyone came to take our order. We started with the sizzling razor clams, and honestly, they were the highlight of the meal, perfectly cooked, well seasoned, and a great start. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. I ordered the Bun Bo Hue, and it really missed the mark. Several ingredients felt poorly prepared. The tendon was so tough it was basically inedible and had to be pushed aside. The pork blood tasted like it had been cooked separately since it had none of the broth flavor soaked into it. Even the beef slices felt out of place, almost like they had been pulled from a pho bowl and dropped into the BBH at the last minute. The broth itself lacked the richness, spice, and strong lemongrass flavor that normally makes Bun Bo Hue stand out. It just tasted flat. There was also a mix-up with our order when the wrong dish came out instead of the lobster. When the lobster finally arrived, it was badly overcooked and much smaller than what was shown on the menu. On top of that, the music was blasting the entire time, no one really checked in to see how things were going, and it took multiple attempts just to get our check. When we mentioned the food issues, the response was basically, "We'll let the chef know." Not exactly the kind of service you hope for after a disappointing meal. Really wanted to like this place, especially after such a strong start with the razor clams, but overall it ended up being a letdown.

The environment is family-friendly, with several tables occupied by kids and families. Just be aware that the music and overall noise level are fairly loud. Service was attentive and they checked up on us regularly. We ordered 2 dozen oysters ($1.50 each), the fish and chips ($11.50), mussels and clams ($10.50), and a beer. The oysters were fresh, mostly clean, and came with the usual accompaniments. My only minor complaint is that small seafood forks would have been nice to have available. The mussels and clams were the disappointment of the meal. While the broth itself was flavorful, the portion was downright sad. We received only 4 mussels and 4 clams total, and the bowl felt almost empty. The standout was definitely the fish and chips. Dare I say the best fish and chips I've ever had? The batter was well-seasoned without being overly salty. The fish was crispy, hot, flaky, and surprisingly not too greasy. The fries were also excellent, with a crunchy exterior and fluffy, mashed potato-like interior. I would absolutely order this again. Overall, for happy hour, come for the fresh oysters and fish and chips. Skip the embarrassingly skimpy bowl of mussels and clams.

Of all the Vietnamese sour soups we've had, this place was the best. It is like a savory version of a lemonade, where the sourness and sweetness is extremely intense, but perfectly balanced. I've tasted all sort items from this restaurant, from quail, to frogs, to snails, to cat fish, and everything has been executed to maximize the taste of the ingredient and sauce. Fish dishes would first be soft, flakely, moist, buttery, and then after the textures, you get hit with the intensities of the sauces. In French cuisine, sauce is king, and Vietnamese food is often times a blend of native and French techniques. This place's food quality punches well beyond it's patronage. My friend and I were mid-meal when two staff members bussed nearby tables. While clearing leftover dishes, soup and food splatters splashed directly onto my face. I attempted to flag them down to ask them to work more carefully, yet they immediately wheeled their cart away without a single apology. We are both quiet, reserved people and chose not to chase them down at that moment. Later, nearly finished with our meal, we realized two skewers of chicken bone-in skewers we ordered had never arrived. We waved repeatedly to grab servers' attention, but one kept wiping the fridge, while two others stood chatting at the front counter and completely ignored all diners. When we finally caught one server, he did not check the kitchen at all and simply claimed our skewers were still being grilled. We waited another 20 minutes with no sign of our food, then stopped a different staff member to follow up--they vanished and never returned to update us. Another full 20 minutes passed before the skewers finally showed up. It is completely unreasonable for simple grilled skewers to take 40 minutes to prepare, especially when the restaurant was far from busy. The checkout process was the most frustrating part of our visit. We waved multiple times requesting our bill; two servers clearly saw us. A female staff told her male coworker to print checks for our table and the table in front of us, but he only delivered the bill to the other party and left ours unattended for ages. We even submitted a checkout request via their online ordering page and waved again to signal we were ready to pay. The front desk staff only gave us an OK hand gesture but took zero action. We were continuously overlooked for no apparent reason, while all staff stood around idle with no sense of urgency to assist guests. Fed up with waiting indefinitely, we walked over to the front counter to pay ourselves. As we approached, the staff tried to duck off to the kitchen or start random cleaning tasks to avoid handling our payment. The entire team lacks basic customer service training and common courtesy. The consistent disregard for diners, careless table bussing, massive food delays, and negligent checkout handling make this place not worth your time or money.
