So happy they made a location in Ewa so close to my house. It's next to Safeway Ewa, where Teddy's used to be. I love that they do online ordering, so you don't have to wait in any lines and everything is pre-paid! My favorite dish is the lobster butter roll with extra lobster, extra butter sauce, and curly fries. Definitely not healthy, but so delicious. I like the food and service is usually great. However last time I went in girls in the front were more interested in drinking Starbucks and talking story. People who ordered after us got food before us but staff said they had no control over whose food made first. Location/Parking: Jolene is located in the Laulani Shopping Center next to Rainbows Drive Inn and Golden Coin. There are a lot of free parking in this shopping center. Food: They are known for their lobster rolls and are delicious! It's unique in that they have picked veggies with a generous amount of lobster. We've also tried their waffle fries, chowder, brisket waffle fries and a birria bombs. I recommend it all! Drinks: The cookie butter drink with the boba is delicious and worth trying. They also offer a variety of drinks from slushies, boba and etc. Price: The price is lobster rolls are expensive so expect to pay a pretty penny for it at $20. We saw on the news that the Lobster Roll is the best here so, instead of schlepping all the way into Chinatown, we opted for the West Side location. Of course we try the Lobster Roll. It did not disappoint! So. Much. Lobster. And the slaw perfectly compliments the meaty crustacean by breaking up the richness with a tangy texture, the bread is so soft and buttery... get lost in the sawse baby! As it was my first time, the menu was very overwhelming-In a good way. Everything seemed so delicious and I couldn't decide. The counter girl helped out so much by simplifying the menu in short and providing recommendations. Lobster Fries - 10/10 shamble good enough for 2 possibly 3 people. Sauce was great, which I am assuming is the saracha mayo sweet sauce that became so popular. The lobster on top was amazing. Flavor is a 10. Burger & Tomato Bisque - Personally I haven't bitten into the burger, but no complaints about the burger from someone who doesn't really care for brisket so that's always a plus. Tomato bisque was great definitely not from a can, and if it is SURELY FOOLED ME. Brisket Loco Moco - perfect amount of fat to meat ratio. Gravy was not runny & was on the thicker side which I like personally. The pickled salad was tasty. There isn't much seating inside the restaurant itself, there is outside seating provided though. But it's hot in Hawaii, and I enjoy my food in cool air. Luckily there were people leaving by the time we got our food. First time here. I love lobster and lobster bisque. I heard of this place and love the one in Vegas so I checked it out. It was a bit pricey but expected it because of the lobster. The lobster roll was a big portion and the lobster pieces was big. It was tasty but not like the one in Vegas. I expected lobster bisque but there was none only corn chowder and tomato bisque. Jolene, Jolene, Joleeeeeeene! How can you not sing the song when you stumble upon this restaurant. I am never in Ewa but we are so glad we found this place! We were so excited to try their sandwiches since all of them sounded so good so here's what we ordered: fried chicken sandwich, lobster roll, sweet dog, and pastrami. Im not a huge lobster fan but it was very tasty. Lots of butter flavor and a big helping of lobster. My fried chicken sandwich was the best. lots of condiments, crunchy, tasty bun and acidity combined all in one. Plus it was HUGE for $10. It beats any fried chicken sandwich Ive ever had. (10/10 for the fried bird) As for the hot dog and pastrami, pastrami had lots of meat and juicy goodness. (8/10) Hot dog one was (7/10) it was not super special. I enjoy the Butter Shrimp Salad here. It's my favorite salad when I want a hearty but lite dinner on the go. I usually get it twice per month. Did another doordash order pickup. Today i got a bbq pork melt and a fried chicken melt both with curly fries since there was a lack of waffle fries the first time I ordered. I was super excited to try out both the melts since the brisket melt i had the other day was delicious. The fried chicken melt was not bad but it was lacking a little bit of flavor. It looks juicy and flavorful but when you actually continue to eat it, the flavor becomes flat in the mid. They do provide ketchup if you'd want to eat your chicken melt with it. The bbq pork melt is pretty tasty, I believe it's made with kalua pork, at least that's what it tasted like. It was pretty good. I think overall the brisket melt is by far the best one out of the three i've tried. I'll stick with the brisket with curly fries. read more

I was excited to hear Jolene's, a family owned and operated business, opened a location in Ewa Beach. They are known all over social media for their famous buttah lobster roll. I opted instead for their Spicy KNFC (Korean fried chicken) melt. Doesn't that sound good? It was! I would definitely order that again...and again. They serve all their sandwich on house baked bread made daily. Yummm! My friend and I shared the birria wontons which were also excellent. I usually don't get a drink, but the peach lemon tea sounded really refreshing and I really enjoyed it. I would get it again too. The reason for the low rating is solely because of the disappointment we had in the Buttah Lobster Roll. My wife had a sudden craving for Jolene's since we've been stalking their Yelp for some time now. Since I was slightly starving to death and didn't put up a fight-- she won. Lol I stayed in the car while the wife ran out to fetch our order. We got 2 of the lobster rolls, one with waffle fries, a Thai Milk Tea and a Li Hing Mango Slush. The drinks were incredible! The lobster rolls tho...... it was mostly canned (?) lobster meat (which we were not expecting at all). The bread was soft and delicious, but the fries... they were sort of like cardboard behind the salty exterior. I love small, local establishments.. and hate leaving anything less than a 4 star review! I guess had I read previous reviews stating that it's canned lobster meat, I would've been more prepared on what to expect. Possibly it's the location or time of day that we went? Portion was just "ok" and over a ton of lettuce, but all in all, the flavor was not up to par. I added a lot of salt and some butter when I got home, however, sadly we still found it hard to enjoy. Although this time wasn't the greatest, I would still try to give them another shot. I would hate to base the entire judgement of the restaurant on just one failed dish. Got Jolene's for takeout brunch. Great rolls & sides. Think the curly fries were a bit better. The waffle fries were a bit salty. We intended to order slushees, but they were not ready yet at 10am. Go later if you want one. We tried the lobster roll at their Chinatown location which had larger chunks of lobster than the Ewa Beach location. Ewa's lobster roll was still delicious. I was told the corn chowder was delicious. I opted for the side salad with Asian dressing. The pork wontons & birria wontons were a hit, albeit a bit greasy (sauces), but it is what it is. I was told the birria was better. It was gone before I was able to try it. Crawfish sandwich was slightly better only bc of texture. Taste was similar. The birria melt was a hit. Jolene's is a convenient seven minutes away from my house. So nice to have a place with excellent, friendly service and great quality food nearby. I've been here several times, but the last time was the best,... tried their pastrami and brisket melt (double down melt) and it was divine! The pastrami and brisket were so tender and juicy and the cheese pull! Oh my gosh! I got it with a side of tomato bisque, but it was so flavorful it was great by itself. Highly, HIGHLY recommend Jolene's if you're looking for quality food in the Ewa Beach area. Something new on the West Side is always welcomed! Went here for lunch on only day 2 of opening. Despite the crowd, (not even grand opening yet) they had it together! The staff is VERY friendly & attentive. The menu is currently limited just while they get acclimated to their new spot. Ordered the lobster salad, lobster roll with waffle fries, and lobster melt with waffle fries. To drink, Thai Coffee & Cookie Butter Milk. They give you a buzzer for when your order is ready so you can sit down and relax. The POS system is a work in progress due to the signal in area, but it's normal and you're most likely used to it if you're a resident in the area. The food took about 15 minutes. The waffle fries are similar to Chick-Fil-A, score! We have Chick-fil-A sauce at home so a major win! The lobster melt was delicious! So yummy and VERY rich!! I recommend splitting it because the dish can be overwhelming due to the richness. The same goes for the lobster roll. Amazing flavor! Something I would split with someone or the fam due to the richness too. Love the cookie butter milk! It is like the milk from your cinnamon toast crunch cereal! :) Prices are high but lobster is not cheap so I get it. Expect to pay $18+ per dish. So happy that Jolene's decided to extend their Chinatown business to the westside! My go-to dish is Da Buttah Lobster Roll: a pile of lobster stuffed into toasted roll with lettuce, pickled veggies and cilantro. I made it a combo with the waffle fries which were crisp and perfectly salted. We also tried the Spicy KNFC sandwich. It was tasty, but in my opinion had no spice (in their defense, I have a high tolerance for spice). I finished off my meal with a peach lemon iced tea (perfect for a hot day). The wait was approximately 20min, but they were crazy busy. They provided buzzers to notify us when the food was ready so we could walk around nearby. I've been wanting to try this place out since I heard it opened up in Ewa not too long ago. The inside of Jolene's has pretty much the same layout as the previous food place that was here (Teddy's Bigger Burgers) but with different colors. At the time I went inside, there were about seven other customers. However, the amount of customers inside doubled as I was waiting for my food. I ordered the Birria Cheese Melt & Consomme Melt for takeout for dinner today. I wish I had known to make a phone order since I probably would have spent less time waiting for my food. When I was done ordering, the employee gave me a buzzer to help let me know when my order is ready. I think it took about 10 - 15 min. I ate my cheese melt at home and realized I didn't like the soup that came with it because it had a kick of spice that I didn't like. However, that is my fault since I wasn't aware what consomme soup was and wanted to try something new. So, I decided to eat the cheese melt by itself and it was PERFECT. Honestly, I could eat the bread by itself if Jolene's were to sell the bread that they make haha. The thick buttered bread had the right amount of crunch to it on the outside and the middle was soft and fluffy. The cheese melt had just the right amount of gooey cheese without the bread feeling soggy at all. I would definitely visit Jolene's again but opt for a tomato bisque instead next time and possibly try out one of their drinks as well! read more

Delicious!!! We are visiting from Sacramento and were at the Ko Olina lagoon. I checked on Yelp because I wanted to grab a bite before we headed back to the hotel near Ala Moana. 3rd location this one at Ewa beach. I tried their buttah lobster roll. This time I ordered their combo meal. It comes with your choice of sandwich and for a dollar more you can have it with soup, fries. Their lobster is good have a good taste like their location on chinatown. This location is nice and clean and have several tables to dine in about 8 booth kind tables. Next time I'll order this without the vegetables. I wish they have more lobster meat. Other than that is was good and the roll is soft. My husband pastrami melt was good too. The corn chowder was hot and good. The way they packed it was so cute even though sat inside.
