I decided to get the sandwich with cheddar bacon biscuit, garlic aioli sauce, swiss cheese, bacon, chicken, and avocado. Good amount of chicken and bacon. Hallelujah, who needs to go to a grocery store when you can get insanely yummy biscuit sandwiches delivered. --- Holy crap, if you like biscuits, come here before this place gets more hype/publicity. I just stopped by for a late breakfast and picked up a scallion-cheddar biscuit breakfast sandwich with eggs and of course more cheddar. I didn't bother adding any extras (avocado, chicken, bacon, etc) because I figured it would be hearty as is and I was right! The sandwich had gloriously fluffy egg, ample cheese and a beautifully tender buttery fluffy biscuit. It was magnificent, and for $7 I don't think I'll be hungry again for another 5 hours. On my way out I also grabbed an almond croissant, chocolate croissant, hazelnut chocolate croissant, and a half serving of diabetes or heart disease or maybe both. When I got around to them, I liked the almond croissant best, aOverall, I think the croissants are just a step behind Arsicault's. Their biscuits, though, are the best I've had this side of the Mississippi. There was no line on a weekday around 10am, and the staff said that on weekends the line is usually no more than 10min for their breakfast sandwiches. For now, I'm going to enjoy the short lines and relative peace and hope that the tourists continue to clog the lines at Tartine while this place stays a hidden treat for locals. read more

Delicious biscuit sandwich! I got a regular biscuit with garlic aioli and cheddar cheese, and I added the avocado and bacon (extra crispy). The sandwiches are made to order and come out piping hot. The biscuit is like no other - flaky and crumbly at the same time. So good! It wasn't busy on a Monday at lunchtime, so I sat in the window and ate leisurely. I ordered a chocolate croissant with the sandwich, and they warmed my chocolate croissant after I finished my sandwich and brought it out to me for dessert. What great service! Love this place. This was a small and quaint place to grab a coffee and pastries. Although there was a decent selection of pastries, I ended up ordering a biscuit breakfast sandwich which chicken. I thought the sandwich was quite tasty. The chicken and egg were good, but my favorite parts were the lemon aioli and the biscuit. The biscuit was crispy and flakey. And the aioli added a nice tangy flavor that brought the chicken and other ingredients together. I would definitely stop by again for another sandwich or biscuits if in the area. This place is a hidden gem in the Mission! I came here for a midday snack and ordered the Euro Hot Chocolate, Chai Latte, and 4 Macarons (Red (Strawberry), Orange (Passionfruit & Mango), Green (Pistachio), and Blue (Earl Grey)). The Euro Hot Chocolate was VERY chocolate-y (and too much for my taste) but if you're a chocolate lover, then I think you'd be really happy with this. My boyfriend had the Chai Latte and was really impressed; he said that it was impressively not too sweet (unlike most places). I tried a sip and it made me wish I ordered the Chai instead - it was delicately flavourful and tasty, like authentic Chai would taste. The macarons were also amazing, and only $2 each! Of the four we got, we loved the blue (earl grey) and green (pistachio) ones the most. I definitely see myself coming back for an afternoon Chai and Macarons, and would recommend that you try it too! read more

Oh man - the biscuits and biscuit sandwiches here are the truth. Don't waste your time going all the way out to Devil's Teeth and then standing around for a so-so, kind of dry biscuit. These biscuits are bigger, moister, and more flavorful, and they even have one with bacon baked into it! And then, the biscuit sandwiches are awesome. Only a few scones and 3 savory croissants were left. Karaage biscuit sandwich: pre-made, served room temp. Chicken is more stir-fried rather than deep fried with a crust. Wasabi mayo and pickles. Easter Sunday 8:30am - the case was full! I had to stop myself from panic buying too much bc it was like, omg when will I ever have this type of selection here ever again?! Breakfast biscuit sandwich: Cheddar bacon biscuit with Swiss, lemon aioli, added bacon and avocado. Comes with egg. Made to order and comes out toasty warm. Biscuit had really crumbly (vs flaky) texture - really good. Base price is $7.50 but with my add-ons this was $9.50. Carrot cake: triple layer, on point cream cheese frosting (not too sweet, texture wasn't tacky like other versions can be). Only $6!!!! Cinnamon roll: tell b. patisserie *this* is a cinnamon roll! Wasn't as soft and scooshy as the roll of my dreams but still plenty soft inside, outside a bit crunchy. Cream cheese frosting again for the win. Weekends only. $4.50 yay Hot cross bun (Easter season only): Great texture and was baked well for sure but lacked any of the fruit, icing or orange zest/peel flavor - it was just plain. My least favorite of the half dozen hot cross buns I tried this Easter season. Do yourself a favor and get there early - there's a reason they sell out so regularly/quickly! read more

Devil's Teeth, move over, way, way, way over. There's a new kid in town, Kahnfections. Well, they're not actually new, they've been there for about one year. For a few years now I've been going to Devil's Teeth for their breakfast biscuits and cinnamon rolls. They've been known for their breakfast biscuits. Recently I read a review on Kahnfections and was intrigued by the pictures of their breakfast biscuits. Unfortunately, I have to say Kahnfections' breakfast biscuit literally blows Devil's out of the water. There is no comparison. If you consider Devil's breakfast biscuit a 10, then Kahnfections is a 20+. The biscuit I had was the cheddar and beacon, it was very moist and tasty. Not like Devil's which are on the dryer side. The eggs were soft and fluffy, you can also choose ham as opposed to the hard bacon that normally comes with Devil's breakfast biscuits. The sandwich is also quite substantial. If you think you like Devil's breakfast biscuits, come to Kahnfections and see what you've been missing. I'll still get my cinnamon rolls from Devil's, but it will be Kahnfections for breakfast biscuits. As a side note, when I was placing my order, I mentioned to the young lady helping me she should try Devil's for comparison. This is before I had eaten the sandwich. After I had eaten the sandwich, I had to tell the young lady there was no need to compare, because there is no comparison, they're that good. read more

Best biscuit sandwich I've had so far in SF! I chose the dill swiss biscuit + garlic aioli + cheddar cheese + bacon (and egg, which is default). It's actually a dill swiss scallion biscuit which was a nice surprise. One bite in and I was in heaven. It was piping hot, buttery, oniony, cheesy melty, and just an overall satisfying experience. Everything held together well so it was easy to eat in the car and it was wrapped in foil to keep it hot. I would come here every weekend for this if I lived nearby! We also got the mushroom gruyere and spinach feta croissants. I liked the mushroom gruyere better than the spinach croissant. They should put more filling in the spinach one, because the larger fancy diamond shape and lack of filling made it a little dry and the feta was a little tangy. Not as good as Porto's in SoCal, which is the only other place I've seen spinach feta croissants. I'll still be back for the biscuits and to try the other pastries! read more

Don't get me wrong, Kahnfections makes great food and pastries; the breakfast sandwiches are incredible. We come here almost every weekend (for a long time too). But, I'm writing this review because we're a little annoyed: the last 3 times we've ordered and picked up a cinnamon roll--along with the rest of our order (on Saturday or Sunday mornings around 8-9am every time)--we've gotten like, a fraction of a roll. It looks almost like someone deliberately removed the edges of the roll (assuming that's not the case but it looks like it). Also, it costs almost $5.00 so it sucks. See the photo I've attached, which I took as soon as I got home to eat. Please, please just give us a normal amount of cinnamon roll. :( read more
