The spicy fish on the left and cajun crawfish in the middle are wonderful

Wow they're really improved in the years since I last visited. The change in owners and competition from Paradise Buffet has done them good! For example, the sushi is excellent! The rice used to be dry and hard, now it's soft and fluffy. Also the hot dishes have really improved in flavor! The pepper beef is tender and delicious. The Cajun shrimp has wonderful flavor and the spicy fish is great! The service is good too, they're taking away plates constantly and there's usually always someone around if you need a drink refill. The only thing that isn't great is their baked desserts. Very artificial tasting and unappealing. But I saw lots of people enjoying the ice cream and the fresh fruits are good! I really liked the cherries.

Finally Got to Try It! My friend basically used me as her Uber to get to her BFF's birthday dinner ~ but I'd heard her talk about this place so many times, I was actually excited to try it. It's a buffet restaurant with four stations. I sampled food from two of them and enjoyed what I got. That said, I overheard a few guests mentioning that the food isn't quite the same since management has changed a few times. Service was solid ~ the staff were quick with drink refills, kept the table clean, and stayed on top of replenishing the food trays. It was a Wednesday evening, so it wasn't too busy. Plenty of parking, and the bathroom was decent. * They give a time limit of 2hrs.

06/28/2025 Brought my family here for dinner. Celebrating 3 June birthdays party of 6. The price is $28.99 for the weekend $2.99 for soft drinks. We came mainly for the crab legs my first 2 plates was mild tasting and the 2nd batch was extremely salty. I enjoyed the roast beef you have to slice a piece by yourself. 12 Different kinds of sushi both with raw fish and none. Along with other dishes fried shrimp, bbq pork ribs, orange chicken, baked green lip mussels, fried chicken, beef cubes, fried rice and chowmein. Lots more to name. The staff cleared away plates quickly.

haven't been here in a while and i will say the price went up by a lot (almost $30 pp) while the quality went down... sushi selection went down from a lot of sashimi and nigiri to items like seaweed nigiri??? very disappointing i will say the mongolian bbq section has a lot more options than other buffets. my only complaint is that you're not able to choose your own sauces. my plate ended up way too salty other foods were ok, a lot more seafood options than other buffets. dessert was very stale and it looked like a lot of the food was sitting out for a while none of the food looked overly concerning in terms of freshness but i don't think it's the freshest buffet. would come back to try again and give it another chance but quality has definitely gone down since my last visit

WARNING to anyone going to Kami's restaurant: be EXTREMELY careful where you park, especially at night. Multiple cars have had windows smashed, belongings stolen, and vehicles damaged in the area. DO NOT leave anything visible in your car and try to park only in the very front where there's more light and visibility. What's even more upsetting is that the owner seemed fully aware this has been happening for a while but didn't seem concerned or take it seriously. Customers deserve to feel safe when visiting a restaurant, and it's frustrating to see these incidents brushed off instead of properly addressed. Please stay alert and protect your belongings.

I haven't gone here in years. We decided to come here for dinner, only to find out it's been permanently closed due to vermin infestation. This was a good place to go eat at.

I used to love this place! Gone downhill quite a bit. My friend was thinking of the crabs here. We came before the dreaded pandemic. This time, the crabs were rubbery shell and hard to break open. I went for the salmon sashimi and I thought.... Oh they just cut it and brought it out fresh. My bad... they were still frozen. The hot food was surprisingly good. Service was just the typical buffet service. Take your plate away and refill your drinks.

I don't know what's up with the other reviews but for $30 dinner you get unlimited seafood , sushi , Chinese food , dessert . What is not to love . This place is hustle bustle and super packed on a Sunday evening. The bussers are working hard and the attendants are too . I visited this place before covid years and lifetime ago it seems but I don't see any quality difference and it's honestly the same as I remember maybe better . After eating a few plates I just stare at the chandeliers and pretty ornate curtain drapes on the windows and wonder how I got here and where I'm going next I love this place it's the GEM of SGV If I can give more stars I would

Stopped by on Saturday, 08/31/24 during lunch time. Our first time here - my dad wanted to eat at a buffet, so I googled searched buffets and wanted us to try this place out! PRICE: $25.99 person x3 = $77.97 TAX = $7.41 TOTAL = $85.38 TIP = $15 OVERALL TOTAL = $95.38 SEAFOOD: Lots and lots of seafood. Sushi bar was fantastically huge and there were so many options to choose from. There's also snow crab (cold), crab (warm), fried peeled and unpeeled shrimp, clams, mussels, snail (?), scallops, you name it! ICE CREAM: Lots of options - I personally liked the coffee flavor. Ice cream area is a bit sticky and dirty. You pay up front first. Please, and PLEASE leave a generous tip. We saw people NOT giving tips and/or leaving out very small tips (e.g., table of 8 people gave $3 tip). You also get some hard candy towards the end. It was very busy but not overly crowded. Worth the price since there were a bunch of seafood options. Ample parking space. Buffet is near a motel - felt a bit unsafe and uncomfortable during that time due to shadiness. Just be careful!

The 4 of us especially liked the white fish with basil and the shrimp with snow peas. The rice noodles with seafood and the kung pao were also good. That said, we like our food spicier, so we asked for chili oil and limes. Some dishes did have vegetables, but when I go again I'll order a vegetable dish. Service was stellar - personal, but never intrusive. I liked that we were seated immediately and still given time for our late guests to arrive. Food arrived quickly once we ordered. They were gracious about splitting the tab afterwards, but could easily have asked whether we wanted separate checks since we were 3 unrelated sets of adults that arrived separately. So, what could have been better? The chafing spoons were too small and too few, leaving us to pull the chafing plate to the edge of the lazy Susan and scrape. My dinner plate was too small, so I made a bit of a mess while eating. The main room is noisy, even with some empty tables, Next time I'll ask for a table in the quiet section (to the right when coming in the main door.) I've driven past Newport Seafood many times and not gone in because the parking lot was already full, and it's not my style to park elsewhere and walk over. However, on Monday at 5 PM, we found ample parking. All that said, Newport Seafood seemed at its best when serving special meals to large families all around us. I will think of them next time we celebrate a special family occasion.

(4.5/5) Popcorn Chicken - We got this one mild, and they basically didn't put any spice on it. TBH, it lacked flavor, and besides being pretty crispy, it definitely needed some spice. (3/5) Beef Noodle Soup - It was good and pretty traditional. (4/5) Overall, most of the food was good but not spectacular IMO. It's a solid place to eat if you're looking for pretty good food, and the price isn't too bad! Parking - Now this stings because this lot SUCKS. The Peking duck is still a stand out. Depending on the amount of people we love adding the signature crispy grouper with the sweet and chill or the short ribs. I love the Chengdu Style Green Bean Jelly. It's spicy numbing with a bit of tartness. They recently revamped their menu adding a lot of new things and their drinks list has grown substantially. Their grilled on the bone beef rib is excellent and new jellyfish appetizer has a wonderful crunch. Tip: 1 Duck platter order per 8-10ppl is typical (don't get scammed for more) unless you're a foreigner who doesn't share dishes (joke of ordering 1 steam fish for their 1 dish for themself). Duck and Five-Color with Mung Bean Noodle Salad are musts. Best for groups. Overall a decent group dinner place due to price and quality (excellent service, higher quality/cleaner processed food). Is it the best Northern food? No, but decent in Chinese food and priced well which makes this place a repeatable place. But it's not northern chinese food taste. Allows us to bring bday cake and light own candle. No outside drinks (even non-alcoholic). How to RSVP group party and specific dishes -- - They only allow rsvp 7days ahead. - Table: 6ppl Table to add 2 chairs. OR if we take the 8ppl table private room, then we need to spend $400minimally with credit card to be put on RSVP phone can when RSVP. For a party of 8ppl, the non-private room table would be too small for ordering a bunch of dishes. - Order how many Peking Duck orders? "Depends on people but there was a small group that ordered 2, and then a group of 12 that ordered just one." For Chinese banquet style, usually 1 duck order per 8-10ppl is fine. It's like 1 birthday cake for 1 party table. - Ordering lobster dish ($200+$20 noodles) requires ordering early. We were able to order one at 1140amish for our 5pmish Saturday night dinner. We feels it's good to order for 8ppl+. - 2hr dining time limit. Musts - Five-Color with Mung Bean Noodle Salad: Doesn't taste like how it should but guess they tried? - Duct platter is good. For a party of 8ppl, most ppl will be able to grab at least 1-2 which is enough since there's other dishes too. Dinner for 8ppl (over ordered, and ordered via more meat due to meat heavy eater orderer for our group). I would have ordered more veggies (next visit). 1 北京烤鴨 (荷葉餅,配料) $95.00 Roasted Peking Duck 1 加荷叶饼 Extra Pancakes $7.00 (no buns were offered here). 1 鸭汤 Duck Soup $19.98 - Comes with tofu and cabbage in it. It's light, and good to have so you don't need to order a different soup. It's okay though. 1 六福大拼盘 Six Fortune Platter $48.98 - Center jelly fish was the star. Most eaters on my table talked about it. I was pretty happy with gluten, and pate type meat slice. Everything else was okay. This might be good for a party of 10ppl instead. I don't see it as a mist for our party of 8ppl. 1 五彩大拉皮 Five-Color with Mung Bean Noodle Salad $18.98 - Mix yourself. I usually eat this dish with a lot of the spicy mustard (like horseradish/wasabi) in it. But it's nice they have it on the side for each person's spicy level? I dont think I've ever eaten it with vinegar oil? I loved this dish as a kid for Northern cuisine. Unfortunately, this dish isn't to par. But okay enough. This dish is usually a must order/staple appetizer from northern cuisine restaurants. 1 梅菜扣肉 Steamed Pork Belly with Preserved Vegetables $22.98 - Not for me. 1 牙签孜然羊肉 Cumin Lamb on Toothpicks $25.98 - Done well. My SO loved it. Typical Northern western Chinese protein and dish. A dish that's become a typical bar food dish around 626. 1 西汁核桃虾 Crispy Walnut Shrimp $18.98 - Remember this isn't a canto restaurant. So this style is not the same from cafes, or canto seafood restaurants. Really good deal for the amount they have us. 1 葱油鱼片 Fish Fillet with Scallion Oil $24.98 - Particular texture. I love fish, but for some reason, this texture really confuses me. Like eating raw skin crunching fish? I just have to get used to it? Or I'm just the anomaly in this one. 1 招牌黑椒龙虾 Signature Black Pepper Lobster 5.50 lb @$35.00/lb $192.50 -加伊面 Add Noodle $20.00 Lobster 5.50lbs. This one was pepper vs Canto oil style. There are a few Canto cafés around here, but this one is definitely one of our favorites. Dim sum is pretty easy to find, but authentic Cantonese cafés are much more of a rare find. The lower reviews are probably due to the service, but in my opinion, a truly authentic Cantonese restaurant should have questionable service because that's exactly what you get at the good places in Hong Kong. The philosophy in Hong Kong is basically "food over service." If they're being too nice, they're probably overcompensating for something haha. Getting either the hot or iced milk tea or lemon tea is a MUST. It's the traditional way to do it, and they even offer unlimited refills! Just be warned that you might not sleep that night because Hong Kong-style tea is no joke when it comes to caffeine. Pro tip: If you get the lemon tea, you have to crush the lemons into the tea to get the right flavor! My friends and I are regulars here. They're open late, and the ambiance is so fun, with tables decorated with mahjong tiles and neon lights that basically scream Asia. The food is top tier and, in my opinion, some of the best Cantonese food you'll find in the U.S. Our go-to orders are the tomato baked rice dishes, stir-fried vegetables, 3-cup dishes, and brisket curries. For something sweet, we always share the classic Cantonese French toast with peanut butter inside or one of the pineapple buns. Definitely recommend coming here if you're looking for an authentic Canto café experience! :)

I came here a few nights ago when the hot pot spot I wanted to eat at was packed and I didn't want to wait. I decided to try HK Macau Bistro instead since I low key wanted to have baked pasta. Restaurant was packed but I was able to be seated right away. I ordered the following dishes: - Baked Fish Fillet with Cream Sauce / Pasta - 8/10. This was really good. The melted cheese on top made this dish so delicious! - Chicken (Half) - 7/10 - This was good but it just tasted like any the chicken at any other place. - Chinese greens - 7/10 - This was okay. Preferred stronger flavors as this tasted kind of bland. - Curry Beef Stew / Tendons - 9/10 - Very tender! I liked this a lot! Would definitely order again! Lemon Iced Tea was yummy! Service was good. Restaurant was clean. Love the H.K. Vibe.

OMG! If you're craving some REALLY good lobster and want to get your money's worth, Boston Lobster…read moreis definitely worth trying! I came here with a friend, just the two of us, and the portions were HUGE. We ordered a lobster that was around 3-4 pounds, and the lobster is priced per pound. I believe we had the Boston Lobster House Special, and we added the noodles for about $10 extra. Let me tell you and it did NOT disappoint. The lobster was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely mouthwatering. The noodles soaked up all that flavor from the lobster and seasoning, and everything together was just delicious. I kept wanting to eat even though I was already getting full! It is a little pricey, especially depending on the size of the lobster you choose, but they give you A LOT of food. There were only two of us, and we each had enough food left over to take home and have another full meal. Honestly, the amount we ordered could have easily fed four people. We also had the shrimp fried rice, which was delicious, and even the lemon iced tea was really good. I wanted to try more things, but there was absolutely no way, we already had so much food! This is definitely more of a family-style dining experience. In my opinion, this isn't your typical quick Chinese food spot or chain restaurant. The quality, freshness, portions, and overall experience put Boston Lobster on another level. I also loved the atmosphere. We sat near the live seafood tanks, so you can actually see the lobsters and other seafood in the tanks, which added to the experience. They also have their own private parking lot with two-hour parking, which is a huge plus. We didn't have reservations and were able to get seated, but I could definitely see this place getting crowded, so reservations may be helpful during busier times. For me, Boston Lobster is easily FIVE STARS. If you're in the Rosemead area looking for delicious Asian seafood and some seriously good lobster, I definitely recommend it. Just make sure you come HUNGRY!

They kept switching out our plates whenever they got filled with empty shells, so we always had a clean plate. The inside was also pretty nice, and you can see all the fish and lobsters in the tanks. Overall, it was a great experience! Definitely on the pricier side, but we had a good time and the food and service made it worth it. Food was everything we expected! We got: Steamed turbo fish 10/10 - it was really flavorful and the ginger and onions on top was an amazing touch. Clams w basil - was very good and fresh. We couldn't stop eating it 10/10 House special lobster - was fire!! It was very easy to take out the shell and it was so tasty. Would definitely recommend! 100/10 French beef - not the star of the show but still was really flavorful! 9/10 Sour soup - it was a good soup and tasted like all the other sour soup nothing too special :) 8/10 Ong choy - we needed some vegetable on the table and steamed ong choy w garlic was really good and refreshing. 10/10 Fried rice - matched w everything we were eating 9/10
