I love this place!! My son and his mother introduced me a while back and I always stop here when I go to the mall which is not often. Bourbon chicken and glazed chicken along with some white rice YUM!! Brought my cousin and she was surprised herself. Food is so flavory

Combination late of sweet sour chicken and rice and noddles veggies. Selection of place sections are available in food court.

Tasteful selection of on the go food in mall food court . I come here sometimes with my children to eat and dine in when we are walking around.

I came here dragging my feet. Since my past visits/eats here were pretty disastrously salty, I really didn't want to waste my time here. My guy insisted and here I am... completely blown away!! I purchased a bourbon chicken combo w/ steamed veggies and cajun potatoes on a bed of white rice. First and foremost, THAT BOURBON CHICKEN SAUCE IS FIIIIIIIIRE!! I'm not sure why my last visit compared to this one was polar opposites but I won't complain. You could drizzle that on just about anything and make it delicious!!!! The chunks of chicken were thoroughly cooked, some being charred & burnt but that was minimal. The potatoes had a little bit of spice, the perfect amount of thickness, and was cooked throughout. Nothing was horrendously salty. 4 stars. I'm pretty skeptical due to all of the inconsistencies but if Cajun Grill can come through like this each time, Oakridge's location has converted me over from Great Mall.

Yum We were doing some quick shopping and we got hungry so why not try out "Kelly's" Cajun Grill as a Kelly, haha! The employee who was working, an older gentlemen gave us samples and that helped us decide what we wanted. He was super sweet and the portions were great! For $10 after tax, this is not bad! Definitely a place to go to. Try stuff before you get it!

It's supposed to be mushroom chicken. orange chicken and supposed to be teriyaki chicken not vegetables with very salty fried rice

My 10 year old son went to the Milpitas location he was very unhappy with what he ordered the employee gave him two orders he didn't want vegetables and orange chicken plus the fried rice had to much salt in it he couldn't eat it I normally go to the one at Oakridge mall in san jose but the l Iocation one doesn't know how to cook or keep their food long enough in the fryer never going there again and I'm going to tell my friends and family to avoid that place waste of my money

Blackened Fish 10/10 delicious and moist

Love Kelly's Cajun! Everything is high quality and made very well. All the items are fresh and tasty. Bourbon chicken and blackened fish are my favorite's - both super flavorful, juicy, and just the right amount of spice. It always boggles my mind to see so few people in line here. It's truly delicious and fresh. Next time, give Kelly's Cajun a try. You won't be disappointed. 10/10 recommend!

I have somewhat of a conflicting view on this spot, but I honestly feel like overall I had a pleasant experience, and the food was good. after trying some leftovers from this place from my father, my husband and I decided to come here as a date lunch sort of experience. It's located in the food court of the Oakridge shopping mall so it was really Close and easy to find. We went inside and located it fairly quickly, there was just the one employee working there but she was very nice and offered to give us samples to try some of the food out first. We tried the black pepper chicken and the mango habanero chicken, and we liked both, so we decided to each get a plate here. It's essentially the same process as panda express, you pick a side and then you pick your two entrées. My husband opted for the rice with the mango habanero chicken as well as the bourbon chicken. I opted for the noodles with the black pepper chicken and the honey glazed chicken. They did also have a fish option and some shrimp but I was really in the mood for chicken, so that's what I stuck to. As far as getting what you pay for, I feel like you get more denser food for what you pay for if you're comparing to panda. I believe the price was roughly the same though, so in terms of if you're trying to save money, I think it's up to personal preference on what you like. In regards to the taste of everything, I honestly believe that the chickens had the best flavor, and the black pepper chicken I have to say, probably could have done with more of a kick. I think I'm used to spicier black pepper chicken, or just more pepper in it I'm not sure. They did have little slices of jalapeño in it, so that was nice, but it wasn't as much of a kick as I thought I was going to get upon ordering it. The honey glaze chicken was absolutely delicious, it reminded me somewhat of the orange chicken from panda express, but much sweeter, and without a ton of breading around it. The only issue with my food that I had was the noodles and I say that hesitantly because I really did enjoy them. However, I don't believe that they had much flavor to them. When I tried them, I thought maybe the bite I had was just not dipped or mixed in whatever sauce was on them, but I looked throughout the portion I was served, and it looked almost like the sauce they use is a butter or oil based sauce, I'm not too sure. Either way I think if the black pepper chicken on my plate had more of a kick, it would've been more enjoyable to eat the noodles because they would've been a nice contrast to the spiciness that would have built in my mouth. My husband liked all of his food, he especially like the bourbon chicken and had no complaints whatsoever. We each got a drink, I got a lemonade and he got a tea and I think total for the two meals and two drinks we paid $33 or something around there. Overall, I really did enjoy the food, some improvements could have been made for sure, but the employee was nice, we enjoyed our time out, and I would still come back here again!

Seafood and chicken combo platter - love the pepper chicken and the blackened fish. Fried rice is also terrific and noodles are solid

Not sure why it only got three stars. This is definitely a four-star fast food place. Sure, this is not a sit down restaurant where you can expect amazing service and fabulous food. But if you want good, salad, tasty food at reasonable prices in the mall, this is a great place to go. I don't normally review chain restaurant, but there are so few of these I don't know if it qualifies as a chain. In my life, I've only found two and they were on opposite coasts.Could be that I just don't eat at malls that much, but I love this place. If you want tasty Cajun like food, this is the place to go. FOOD: I have had authentic Cajun food, and this is more like Cajun adjacent. It's like panda express meets the south. But I really love the flavors! Bourbon chicken is good, pepper chicken is great, blackened fish is tasty, blackened chicken is also good. They serve their food with your choice of noodles or fried rice (or half-and-half) which of course is not exactly Cajun, but it sure taste good. Overall, just glad to have Kelley's Cajun grill back of my life! Also, try the honey chicken. SERVICE: solid. Not the most super friendly people in the world, but they do their job really well and pack your to go box with a ton of food. Really, how can you ask for anything more from a fast food place? They are nice and serve you quickly. COST: The cost is incredibly reasonable considering the amount of food you get. Always go for the combo platter and maximize your food takeaway. You will definitely have enough for two meals.

    Bourbon Chicken is AMAZZZZING

I go to visit my friend at work at least twice a week. And we always get the Bourbon Chicken. It is AMAZING!! Her daughter absolutely loves the Honey Glazed Chicken! And it's really the only place we go to eat here at the food court in Oakridge Mall. I get the bowl and it's only $6.99 and you get tons of food. If I am hungry or sharing, I'll get the plate which is only $8.99. I also really like the mango habanero or pepper chicken. Definitely the best spot here!

2 item combo: bourbon chicken, mango habanero chicken, and fried rice

I come here for one item and one item only: the bourbon chicken. It's delicious. The other items are ok, but it's just average mall court Chinese fast food. The "chow mein" here is made with spaghetti though, so I always get rice instead. (It's better to pick up the sauce from bourbon chicken anyway.)

Today is 08/21 with 90 degree temperatures. I occasionally walk my dog thru Oakridge Westfield shopping center. Today we stopped by Kelly's Cajun Grill and asked for some water. The blonde Mexican lady refused me service unprovoked. I asked again (tactfully) for a plastic 8 oz cup I saw at the register and a little bit of tap water for my dog. Again the rude blonde Mexican lady with heavy makeup refused. I acknowledged her resistance and was able to get water for my dog at their neighbors food booth. Completely unprovoked and rude behavior by the staff here. Judging by other people's experience, go eat somewhere else. Word of advice from a +40 year San Jose native. If you want your business to succeed, make sure you take care of all prospective customers. Side Note: There's a reason why they're the only food booth w/o a line on a busy Sunday afternoon (12:30pm)

230pm. Food court in Oakridge. Staff was friendly. Offered samples of meats. Tried spicy chicken with steamed vegetables and chow mien. It was eatable. Won't be back.

Not everything is on the menu. They would ask you for a second item, which costs more of course. The price of 2 item is just not there. Yhey seriously need to redesign that menu. Bourbon chicken is a bit sweet, but kids should love it. It's just a little bit different than teriyaki

The seafood was well-seasoned with a nice spicy kick, and our noodles were very garlicky (in a good way). The chicken tenders were also flavorful, but a bit dry (I still like it btw). The only small downside was that the crawfish had a bit of a fishy taste, but it wasn't enough to ruin the meal since the seasoning was still really good. The shrimp, on the other hand, were delicious and cooked perfectly. The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, great for groups. The garlic fries were cooked to the perfect level of crispiness, while the lobster garlic noodles were flavorful, savory, and packed with garlic goodness. The seafood itself was fresh and good quality, but I found the House Special Mild sauce a little underwhelming. I was hoping for more depth and flavor, but most of what I tasted was a mild kick of heat. While it wasn't bad, it didn't have the rich, buttery, and well-seasoned flavor profile that I typically look for in a seafood boil sauce. Service was great throughout our visit. We were seated promptly, our food arrived quickly, and any requests we had were fulfilled without issue. The staff was attentive and made the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. I also appreciated the restaurant's nautical theme. The decor featured fishing nets, ship-inspired accents, and other sea-themed elements that helped create a fun and immersive atmosphere. Overall, I'm glad we gave this place a try. The garlic noodles and fries were delicious, and the service was excellent. While I would probably choose other seafood boil spots in the future, this was still a solid experience and worth trying at least once.

After today's visit, though... I finally understand why the second location closed. Ordered: Shackie's Sauce (Hot) Shrimp & Mussels Combo Snow Crab Clusters Garlic Noodles Garlic Fries The seafood boil was nowhere near the quality it used to be. The corn tasted old, the shrimp and snow crab didn't taste fresh, and the snow crab clusters had barely any meat. By the time I cracked everything open, it felt like there was more shell than seafood. The mussel shells even had barnacles on them, which I've never seen here before. It made the seafood feel like it hadn't been cleaned as well as it should have. The garlic fries were crispy, but that's it. It was weird--I could see the garlic and was literally eating it, yet there was no garlic flavor. The garlic noodles used to be one of my favorite items because they were bold and packed with garlic. Now they've definitely toned the flavor down, and they're just not the same anymore. It's honestly disappointing because this place used to be one of my favorite seafood spots. The food quality has clearly declined while the prices have continued to go up. I hope they can get back to what made this place so good, but based on today's experience, I can't recommend it anymore.

It's not your typical Cajun seafood boil sauce--it has a unique flavor that's completely its own and sets this place apart from every other seafood boil restaurant I've tried. Depending on when you visit, the restaurant can either be packed or nearly empty. It's a smaller space, and large parties tend to come through often, so wait times can vary. During our most recent visit, our party of 3 ordered an entire spread of crawfish, clams, shrimp, garlic noodles, raw oysters, fries, etc. and just went in. You can elect for your choice for sauce, and spice level -- and add any preferred extras like corn, sausages, and potatoes. The sauce and flavors have drastically improved compared to previous dine in experiences. This would be a good choice for a Cajun crawfish and seafood boil treat, but I can't stand on the service you'll receive -- hit or miss. Bonus: bring your own seafood dipping sauce. My girl made a spicy tamarind sauce perfect for seafood and I took a bottle with me for dipping.

Holy crap. My friend…read moreand I came here last week to try the crawfish because it was one of the few places around that had fresh crawfish. We didn't like the sauce flavors as much as other places, however the crawfish tasted clean. So we ordered 6 pounds tasting a little bit of each of the different sauces and landed on the one that we liked. We decided to come back tonight with our partners and kids for dinner. There was a misunderstanding between the staff, and it resulted in them charging us for two extra pounds of crawfish. Sidenote, if you buy 5 pounds of crawfish you get 1 pound free. So we ended up ordering 12 pounds of crawfish expecting to pay for 10 pounds. We were charged for 12 pounds of crawfish and for some reason given one free pound of shrimp which is a lesser value. When we let them know that there was discrepancies in our bill, they argued and ultimately made us stay for an extra 20-30 minutes while the owner yelled at everybody (including us). It was an incredibly awful experience. We still tipped the 18% table fee for large parties, but part of me wanted to decline paying for that and just give the waiter cash because we felt bad for him. We had a feeling the owner was going to make him pay somehow. Ultimately, what we think happened: when they gave us our order, it was missing 2 pounds of crawfish so we let them know that the 2 pounds of crawfish were missing and somewhere between telling our waiter and the kitchen, it was misconstrued as we were ordering two more pounds of crawfish. So between that and giving us shrimp "for free" instead of the crawfish for free, our bill was noticeably larger. At one point the owner was claiming we ordered 3lbs of shrimp too. Then realized his own order tickets and receipts did not align on that (we only ordered 1lb Shrimp). In the end, we spent nearly $400 there for dinner and it really felt incredibly ridiculous to have to stand there and argue with the owner as well as watch him just yell at his entire staff over this discrepancy. The first time we came, the owner was not particularly attentive or nice in terms of service, but we just chalked it up to it being an Asian restaurant. We are Asian so we're kind of used to it. But this was next level insane in terms of behavior. I started to get loud with him a little too before I ended up just needing to leave because my kids had to go to bed. I totally get margins aren't great and perhaps he's had issues in the past with customers being shady but that was definitely not the case here and due to this, we won't be back. FOOD: The garlic noodles are good, and the crawfish are clean. The rest is pretty standard (fries) or subpar... like the wings -- they were tiny and stuck together. The calamari was bland and pale. You can order heads or rings but not both together. Glad we didn't get more as it was but great.
