Creamy, salty, and yet not overwhelming in flavor, the mentaiko pasta was delicious. Would get again. Seating area was also very cute and well done with plenty of space between tables and mostly outdoors. The staff were very mindful of covid and my only advice is bring a jacket on chilly nights out. After looking through several reviews, I decided to order Kitchen Sooda for the first time. I went with the clams and garlic butter, and their Alaskan king crab w/ medium spiciness & corn on the cob. It was absolutely delicious, and I didn't feel ripped off by them giving a small amount of crab or anything . It seems like a normal portion, and I finished the dinner feeling happy. It's very hard for me to not like uni pasta, but believe me when I say the uni tasted amazing with the creaminess of the pasta sauce. I personally like to mix a few pieces with the pasta, and keep some uni chunks unmixed and it is amazing. Like the chicken and cheese is a shallow dish but is pricey for what you're paying (and come on, it's chicken). For this dish, I'd recommend going somewhere like Go Pocha (but there, you'd get pork and cheese). We also got the mussel soup and it was... i think if I close my eyes I can taste freezer/refrigerator. I've also gotten the shrimp boil here and that was okay. Maybe just to boiling crab for value (but that wait is horrendous). And I got the chicken here, which again was okay but can't compare to OB bear. Overall, this place kind of did too many types of food but didn't really deliver for me w price, taste, or quantity. Value wise, I probably can't recommend it. They have areas for group seating, but I've come w a group of 10 girls and they ended up forgetting some of the items we ordered such that some girls never got their food. My go to spot for korean fried chicken!! There's many good spots in ktown, but this by far is my favorite because they do fried chicken right! I usually get half of the traditional korean which is spicy/sweet and half of the soy garlic. BOMB. Perfectly crispy and juicy at the same time. Then, when I didn't think it could get any better, their Mentaiko pasta blew me away. The pasta is perfectly cooked and the sauce is delicious. Idk who the chef is back there, but they def know what's up. Valet is $2 at lunch and $3 for dinner. Seating has both inside and outside. Think EMC + Boiling Crab + Ddonggo = Kitchen Talk! Sooda means talking, chit chat, chatter, gossip, and we had a night of plenty of sooda over some mouthwatering food! $1 oysters were fresh and shucked fast. The accompanying sauces were a bit lackluster, but they also provide lemon and tabasco so we slurped up 2 dozen easily. The lobster roll was a twist on the usual mayo with chives or green onion...not the best or worst I've had, but it was a fair amount of lobster for the price. The accompanying fries were mediocre. Their uni pasta was cooked perfectly al dente! I didn't get much uni essence from the cream sauce but the texture had me eating seconds. Can't comment on the honey nutter chicken since I did not partake because I prefer savory flavors, but the half portion was plenty and came with chewy rice cake. The real star of the night was the fire chicken! The spicy marinated chicken came on top of hash brown and a pool of bubbling cheese. Will be coming back for this! Pretty good spot for late night food. Came on a Saturday night and the place was very much empty. There were only a couple other parties and they were all very tame groups. We came here for my husband's birthday in September. We made a reservation for a table of 17 at 6:30 pm on a Sunday. When I called to make the reservation, they were very accommodating and I was able to add additional people after making my initial reservation. We sat in the outside patio with two large tables. This place had korean and japanese style "fondue". The only downside was that they only had outside seating at the time and it was at least 95 out that night. Kitchen Sooda is solid all-around with some hidden gems if you look hard enough. +They have a ton of Korean pub food in general and some Asian fusion/cajun dishes as well which were pretty good. The Mentaiko pasta is really solid/creamy/delicious - probably the best dish we had there for about $14ish. The pricing on the food overall isn't bad for about $10-$20 and are a pretty good size as well. +They have a lot of neat deals going on including a beer deal where you can get one beer for the normal price and the second beer for a penny (once per table - doesn't stack unfortunately). They also have a variety of beer, soju, and rice wine options. +Service is pretty quick and attentive so no problems there. Decor is not bad with a lot of tables indoors and outdoors and a few TV screens. +/- Valet only (some limited street parking which is par for the course) but it's pretty cheap at $2. +/- Their other food options that I've had isn't too bad and range from their specialty (the fire chicken, which personally thought was a bit much) to the variety of flavors for their chicken wings (which weren't too bad - we got the garlic flavor).
