Service was very polite and quick, so that was appreciated, everyone wore masks - but I do find it a bit odd that the kolaches aren't inside of a case. 4 kolaches for almost $14, bf and I split 3 and I'm quite satisfied for a Friday morning. I like how there's a variety of flavors, sweet and savory that anyone should be able to find their favorite. They're pretty much small meals on the go, so if you're craving a breakfast burrito, something Mexican inspired, sweet - you got it. I though these are the pastry stuff, like Danish sweets dress like a donut shop. WRONG. I see a wall of dough with filling names next to each pile. Talk about shocking at first sight. Kolache is delicious! The bread in which the kolache is made is very soft with a nice chewy texture that goes so well with all of their fillings. It almost adds a creaminess to the kolache. I ordered a ton of flavors both times I came in to try s variety and see which ones I liked and didn't like. My favorites are: jalapeno popper, sausage and gravy, and bbq beef! Notable mentions are bacon egg and cheese, chicken enchilada, chorizo and egg, and ranchero and while they were good, I liked the first three that I mentioned. The prices of each kolache varies but I noticed that usually the ones with egg in it are over $3 each. Every flavor really is a personal preference, but what I can say in general about Kolache factory is that they make kolache or I call it, buns with filling, full of ingredients inside (they don't skimp), with a very well made soft bread on the outside. I also love that these fridge/freeze and reheat so well in the microwave as I like that it makes it convenient for me to heat one up anytime I'm craving for one! The only gripe is that they can get a bit pricey, but one is definitely enough to fill me up especially the ones with egg in it, but even if not they put enough filling in each that makes it fill you up - definitely a must try! read more

I love coming here to grab some kolaches to start my day or to snack on later throughout the day. Kolaches are such a great hand-held food that you can have at any time of the day and make you full and satisfied! On my most recent stop, I got the sausage & gravy, jalapeno popper, & philly cheese steak. All of them were delicious and I do like the fact that they can be warmed up when you order them. You get a good amount of filling inside each kolache and they don't skimp at this location. Staff have always been good here and I have not had any service issues when I've gone and they are patient if you are taking some time to choose haha. I found out about the Kolache Factory from a co-worker when she brought them in to work. I finally decided to go on my own to see what else they have to offer this past weekend. I was surprised by how many different type of kolaches they had. You gotta go early if you want certain flavors because by the time I came, they mostly ran out of certain ones. The Ham/Cheese, Pizza, and any time of breakfast ones are my favorites. One bite into the kolache and it's sweet and flavorful. I even got my boyfriend hooked on it. For those who may not know what a Kolache is, it's very similar to a hot pocket or a large dumpling or a calzone, only this originates from Eastern Europe. The breading or casing is different but it's just a bread filled with goodness. I accidentally came across the Kolache Factory while getting some lunch and of course had to stop by and pick some up. This place put Americanized and modernized fillings to have things like Pepperoni Pizza, Polish sausage, Texas Polish sausage, BBQ Brisket, and Jalapeno Popper. I enjoyed them all, but the Jalapeno Popper one was VERY rich. I loved the taste of it but it was just too rich. I actually scooped some of the filling out and ate it on a separate piece of bread. I would get it again, but would need to do the same thing of taking out the filling. The prices were a little on the high side but still reasonable enough to go there again. So not only are the fillings tasty, the bread was so good. Soft and chewy and delicious. The main issue was the staff. I asked if the polish sausage was spicy and she said that she didn't know. That's fine but she could she not ask another coworker? Then she states, actually they're not. Then she says something about eggs. I was confused and clarified that I was asking about the polish sausage. She then states that it doesn't really matter if they are spicy or not being that they don't have any. Even more confused, I point behind her and ask, what are those? Behind her are 2 trays of polish sausage kolaches. Aside from the one who "helped" me, I liked this place and would go there again. Very helpful staff! They were super kind and patient in making recommendations and as we tried to make up our minds about which items to try for our first time. Note that sometimes things aren't available as they are made fresh throughout the day. But I'm okay with that - I'd prefer to have fresh-made in small batches over mass-produced and stale. And this actually means I have to go back to try their cinnamon roll. My mom and grandma used to make something similar to these kolaches, so it brought back some nice memories. The dough was nice and soft. The variety of flavors was enough to make it hard for us to narrow it down to just a few. Since we have been eating plant-based since the start of 2024, we ordered the Potato, Egg & Cheese kolache, the Sunshine, a Peach, and a Cream Cheese. Everything was delicious! It's hard to pick a favorite, but I did prefer the Potato over the Sunshine as a breakfast option. I prefer to have some protein each morning, so this would be a go-to for me. I really hate that one of my friends introduced me to these delicious pastry breads- google told me they are of Slovakia origin! Why? Because they are the darnest, softest, tastiest breads on the market. As a Filipino person the bread reminded me of my own culture- which is probably why my parents love them so much. If you condensed a Filipino ensaymada dough and baked it until it browned like pan de Sal WHILE keeping the tender melt-in-your-mouth consistency, you get a Kolache! So if you're unfamiliar and reading this and never had a Kolache- it may look a bit dry on the outside, but trust me after 20 seconds warmed up, it's delicious. I tried it for the first time today and even took the leap to try the FOTM brisket and Mac n cheese, it sounds much right! Wrong. They slide in chopped jalapeños so there is a nice balance of acid for the salt and fat cheesy and beef filling. SO FUN I TELL YOU. I'm not sure of what The filled Kolache would taste at cold or room temp so maybe I'll update later. However I did also buy the uncovered spinach and cream cheese ones- I took a bite of each and still pretty satisfying AND moist. For 7 kolaches I paid $11.47. I love Kolache factory and can't believe I took so long to try them, (about 2 years ago.) I've been in Irvine almost 6 years and they've been in business since 2013. Kicking myself in the butt! I've had almost all of them but the star of the show especially when I bring them to my stylists is the spinach Kolache. It's like spinach dip with baked in and on cheddar cheese , so damn good! The sweet cheese ones are also great especially for Valentine's day because it's sweet cheese with strawberries and chocolate fudge swirls *droooooool* I toaster oven all my Kolaches and they taste so good. They freeze well and there's literally something for everyone here. The smart thing to do is pre-order online, because 9 times out of 10 people don't know wtf they're ordering and have a million questions in line. The employees are patient with these folks and God bless them because it couldn't be me LOL. My sister loves this place and they have tasty sweets. After trying the pizza, bbq brisket (a bit on the sweet side), ranchero, Buffalo chicken and chorizo my fave were ranchero and chorizo. The cold brew here is also good. I've had the kolaches here a few times, whether at work or picked up from the store. It's certainly unique and good for what it is, as it's a bit more portable than a sandwich (won't fall apart) and makes for a dense yet filling snack/meal. Most recently, I came by to redeem a free kolache on the app but I didn't realize it was specifically only for a sausage and cheese kolache. Still, the sausage and cheese kolache was surprisingly good as it was essentially a small polish dog wrapped in cheddar cheese inside the kolache breading. The breakfast kolaches are pretty good here as well because they can jam pack a good amount of eggs, meat, and other fillings to make your meal complete. The smaller kolaches start at around $3.50 and the combination flavors can go up to about $5. It definitely makes for a great party item as you can order a boxful to share with your coworkers and large group of friends. Overall, although it's unique, it's not necessarily something I would go out of my way for but I certainly would recommend this place to other folks who may be wondering about ideas for catering or just a quick meal! read more

I ended up purchasing: Potato Egg Cheese, $3.45 prior to tax- I had this as a snack (best heated in the microwave before eating) and really liked it. Although this pastry looks small, it was pretty filling with potato and egg. There is cheese in this pastry but not a whole lot and would have preferred just a bit more. Ham Egg Cheese, $3.45 prior to tax- My husband had this for breakfast one day while he was at work. He thought it was just okay and did not taste the cheese (as I had mentioned, there was very little in mine and so it may be hard to detect the flavor of cheese unless you are looking for it). He thought this was more on the bland side. Creamed Spinach- I ate this and thought it was actually kind of oily. Although I liked the flavors of the spinach and cheese, there was just a lot more oil than I was expecting and made me feel sick after eating it. I wouldn't order this again. Strawberry Fruit- I also ate this and thought this was pretty average. I would probably stick to their savory kolache instead. Located in a small plaza just west of the 5 freeway, right next to a Carl's Jr. Parking is limited in front but there's more around the corner for the neighboring plaza and Carl's Jr. The cute little place has bar seating against their front and side windows and a few small tables outside. The employees were friendly and quick at taking your order and boxing them up. I love how they write the names of each one so you don't have to guess which was which. It would've been nice if they told you the order of the list. It was only after tasting one that I realized the order of their writing inside the lid of the box. The writing order is top of the list are the closest to you when you open the box. The kolaches were a hit!!! We ate all but two (of the dozen) by the end of our day. But Little O ate them the next day for dinner. The bread/roll was soft and yeasty. One day I'll buy their dinner rolls if they taste just like the Kolache bread.
