I was with my parents as well as two family friends, and we're all Asian, so they were craving some noodles. I decided to give this place a try and take them here. I was pleasantly surprised! They have several options and different kinds of noodles, but their drink service was a bit slow. However, I'm not going to talk much about their drinks, as they were pretty standard. You'll find what you get there just about anywhere else that serves any sort of "Asian" beverage. I decided to try the curry ramen here, and I gotta say, it made me a fan of curry ramen. However, the curry ramen I had here is easily replicated at all of the other restaurants where I ordered it so that means that this place is at least as good as other places. My parents had the spicy beef noodle soup, which I had a bit of and again, found it delicious. Overall, this place doesn't disappoint. Everything here is pretty good, but it's pretty standard. We had fried calamari and spicy beef noodles. Calamari's batter was too thick for fried calamari. The spicy beef noodles - both Spicy Beef Brisket and Sichuan Beef - lacked flavor. Broth had rich color but was amazingly lacking flavor. Spicy Beef Brisket was a tiny bit better than Sichuan Beef. Noodles tasted like a ramen noodles you get from frozen section of grocery store. Very good homemade noodles. They used to serve mainly ramen, but now they have a nice variety of noodle soup and rice dishes. The staff are very friendly and attentive. kyoto ramen is tucked in a strip mall with other aisan restaurants and fuzzy tacos. They have a bar and a number of tables for small groups. They have a wide selection of ramen broths and meat. I had the lamb ramen with pork broth. The broth had a great flavor and the noodles and meat balanced well. I also had fried oysters as an appetizer. read more

We were in the are and was looking for noodle soup since it's a cold night. We came across this restaurant and wasn't expecting anything about it. I ordered the House Special Chow Mien and my frIend ordered Beef Noodle soup. The servings were big and generous portions of meat and vegetables. The noodles were cooked just right and the taste didn't disappoint. It was flavorful and gives you that feeling at home. Came here with a larger party, but for a Sunday afternoon, there was only one server on the floor. It took about 25 minutes before our orders began coming out, and food came out one by one. The people that did not receive their orders said it was ok for the ones who did receive their orders to go ahead and eat. Thank God they did, because the last order came through when we were almost done eating, no exaggeration. Not only that, it took 20+ minutes for them to finishing separating the bill, and checking us out. Needless to say, the biggest reason for the negative review is the service here. BUT, there's more. I ordered the Chicken Katsu with Curry, and it was way too salty. Some of my friends ordered the ramen and the broth was also extremely salty. Basically you will need several refills of water to finish your entrees. Service wasn't great and the food wasn't enjoyable. I've never had ramen like this. It tastes...unique. I tried regular tonkotsu and spicy miso, and I didn't particularly like either. Their broth has a creamy coconut taste to it whether it's the miso or tonkotsu. I just did not get the standard ramen miso, pork, soy sauce broth taste. It tasted good! The restaurant was quiet as it was about 2pm when my friend and I came in for a late lunch. We ordered gyoza and 2 different ramen bowls. The service was good, our waitress was attentive and refilled drinks promptly. Our food didn't take too long and it tasted wonderful! Food: 4.5/5 The food here is pretty solid. My favourite is the Kyoto broth. It's thick and flavorful. I liked it so much I asked for more broth. Although I thought they could do better with the original Pork broth and the Takoyaki. Service: 5/5 The servers were helpful and nice. I honestly don't have any complaints. Came here for a late lunch around 1:45 pm because it's close to home. Not too crowded at this time. Atmosphere is nice. Place looks clean with wooden tables and benches. The two waitresses here are super nice. The ramen-I ordered spicy miso. ($13) It was ok. The portion is large enough to fill up a hungry person. Spice level was on point, but the flavor was weird. It tastes like they put too much butter in the ramen, and it was way too salty. The broth was hot, but the spicy ground pork mixture was cold. Also ordered tonkatsu. It was ok, but also too salty. Noodle texture and quality for both was ok. I hate to compare to wabi house, but I gotta do it. The broth at wabi house is much richer and fuller body with a depth of delicious flavor. The broth here is just ok but too buttery tasting and salty. Wabi is still the best. Sorry wabi that we strayed this time. I'll never do it again. read more

I was on my way home and had just started getting sick. I thought a hot bowl of ramen might be a good way to try to beat my impending sickness. I yelped a ramen place close by and Kyoto popped up. I was going to order using their Yelp system but the Roasted Lamb Ramen wanted me to pay additional to add lamb to it. It definitely needs some work. So I show up and no one is in there. That is normally a bad sign, but it was late and I didn't want the hassle. I went ahead and ordered my Roasted Lamb Ramen and everything was fine. I went to check in on Yelp and saw their eating was pretty low. Had I noticed the rating, I probably would have gone elsewhere. The good news is that the food was prepared fairly quick and it was a to-go order. I got home and the ingredients were in one bowl and the broth in another. Honestly, it was above average. The one thing that could have been better was the lamb. It was cut with the grain rather than across and that made it stringy and tough. The broth was both smooth and hearty and it had a good amount of noodles. I did have to nuke it once to get it up to a good temperature but I would expect that since it was a 15 minute drive home. This was my first time ever visiting this place. I must have passed it 100 times going home from work. But tonight was different. Tonight I stopped in, because I was really craving sushi! Turns out they don't have sushi, but I decided to stay anyway because the atmosphere was warm and inviting. The hostess/waitress was super polite and friendly, and the music and setting just seemed like exactly what I needed after a long day. I chose to order the vegetable pancakes with sweet chili sauce, and the steamed shrimp shumai with dumpling sauce. Both were wonderful!! So delicious. The food arrived super quick and was even on cute little plates with a doiley lol I was given a menu to take with me, as well as a coupon for $2 off my order the next time I visit. I will definitely be bringing my boyfriend back to this place instead of eating alone next time. The atmosphere is quiet, and the instrumental music relaxing. Perfect date night place. Tried for the first time. Sushi dishes were average to meh. Crispy salty chicken was alright.......the thing that will bring us back was the noodles that I ordered on a whim.
