This place is a hidden gem! The parking lot stays busy, but it's absolutely worth the wait. The staff was friendly, helpful, and knew the menu well. The drinks were excellent, and even the mocktail I tried was amazing. I ordered the steak sizzling skillet, and the portion was huge--easily enough for two meals. The food took a little while, but the fun atmosphere made the wait enjoyable, especially the Bad Bunny dance that comes out when someone orders shots! Great food, great drinks, and a lively vibe. I'm already planning to come back for a girls' brunch! It's a fun time.

We ordered the grilled skirt steak (arrachera) and it was the standout of the night. The steak was tender with a great char. It includes warm tortillas, grilled shrimp, fresh pico de gallo. The portion is generous enough for two adults, which makes it an even better value. The Surf & Turf Burger was another memorable dish. It's served on a sizzling hot plate set on a thick round wooden board with a built‑in drawer, and it comes with crispy potato wedges. The burger itself is stacked with grilled shrimp , salmon, and the patty. All nestled over a layer of gooey melted cheese. Rich, savory, and definitely filling. A fun extra: on weekends they have a photographer who goes table to table and takes your picture for $20 per photo. Nice touch if you're celebrating or just want a keepsake. Bold flavors, fun presentation, and hearty portions. A great spot when you want something satisfying and a little different.

Such a fun spot to visit for celebrations! Food: My top recommendation is the Zarandeado-Style Octopus. It's flavorful, tender, and comes with a very generous side of house fried that will be sure to leave you satisfied. Service: Staff is very friendly and always makes amazing recommendations based on preferences of the party. Ambiance: Very lively. Think of this as a celebration spot for groups. There's mariachi on Fridays and when tables order the tequila shot shows, the lights dim and it can get pretty loud. It is super fun though if you enjoy that atmosphere! Overall: I will continue to come back for birthdays and other celebrations!

The drinks were really good at this restaurant. I like the food just wished the brunch options were available still when I went! The ambiance was so iconic. The bad bunny experience was seriously so cool! I love the lights and the music. They really bring the celebration to each table.

If you're ready to celebrate your birthday big and turn up, this is the place to go. The food is amazing--Mexican food, Mexican sushi--and the drinks are top-notch. On your birthday, they sing to you, Bad Bunny even comes and dances, and they give you a free shot. The ambiance is perfect for feeling celebrated. They even have Mariachi:) From the moment we entered, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. Samuel was our waiter, and he was so nice, friendly, and attentive. I definitely will be coming back.

Love this lychee mezcalita and the vibes and music were really good. The tuna tartare was really fresh, good quality tuna. The staff were really nice and the food was really flavorful- I liked the spicy salsa that came with the empanadas. The empanada batter was really thick similar to Colombian empanadas. They are really filling and kind of taste like chicken enchiladas to me and they come on a bed of lettuce topped with crema. They are filled with shredded chicken. I love how they decorated each plate. I love the Bad Bunny that comes out to cheer people on for their bday and the bday shots and music accompanied with it. They make everyone feel special here. It's def a vibe and the music playing while you eat creates an experience. I want to return end of week and see how much of a party this place turns into.

This was my second time coming with reservation still had a 20 minute wait. Food was amazing, service was better this time around I definitely appreciate them checking on us more. Ambiance was elegant and fun. My only issue was that we got seated at the entrance table where the air was hitting each time someone opened the doors; it was very cold. The table was wobbly and it didn't let me enjoy the bad bunny show as my back was turning away due to the table placement. Overall 4 stars

A fun date night! Ny husband and I made reservations for Valentines weekend, and good thing we did because it was busyy on a Friday night. It was such a fun experience dining here, there were live musicians and a couple shows that tables ordered with their drinks. Ordered the house aguachile, very fresh and had a kick to it. Also got the arrachera, chicken enchiladas in green sauce. Portions were a good size, especially for the price. Both meals were delicious. Only downside for me was the rice and beans just because they were a little plain. Service was great, they were so busy but so attentive. We were checked on regularly and the staff were very friendly. Can't wait to come back

Tried La Mas Querida for dinner this evening. I had two skirt steak tacos and churros with chocolate dipping sauce delivered through DoorDash. Unfortunately, I didn't care for the tacos. The skirt steak was overcooked and I didn't like the flavor of the marinade. The guacamole was good, but it was buried at the bottom of the taco under too much meat. The churros were good. They came with a couple of strawberries that tasted great dipped in the dark chocolate. The churros were nice and warm with tons of cinnamon. They were so big I could only eat two. I do think they need to give you more chocolate sauce. The little container isn't enough if you eat more than a couple churros. I would return for dessert, but not for dinner.

Stopped by here for some drinks while our son was at golf lessons down the street. Had seats at the bar and Daniel was a very attentive bartender. He gave us the top 3 popular drink options. We ordered the La Mistica Del Dorado which was so entertaining. He even asked if we wanted to take a video before he poured the water to create the smoke. The drink was perfectly sweet and had really good pineapple taste. Lovely drink. Totally recommend, not just for appearance but also for the taste. Hubby ordered the Lychee Mezcalita. It tastes so much all lychee with every sip. Spot on. We were happily surprised that they offered us chips, salsa, beans & cheese. What a nice surprise. I was also very grateful he offered us a small shot glass taste of the Banana Blossom. Super yummy. Will definitely be coming back to try all the other signature drinks. Just wish they had a happy hour. Then it would be perfect.

So good and so much fun! It's very lively on Friday Nights and you can expect a wait especially around 7pm. The bandas are there at the beginning of dinner and the shots comes out later in the evening so it'll be loud. Fun for a group dinner especially girls night. Good drinks and bomb aguachile. I'll be coming back for it. The food itself is amazing.

If you're looking for a fun spot for Sunday brunch this is it. This place had us dying the whole time and taking tequila shots like it was 2005. Not only was the food great, but the VIBES?? Immaculate. They had a Bad Bunny and Deadpool dancing serving shots - so fun! The food tastes like it was microwave and not freshly made. That was not my least favorite part, the service was. Terrible service. The waiter took our order and that was our last time seeing him. We were never asked how we were doing or how our food was. To add on to the service, our finished plates were sitting at the edge of the table for the entire stay, while every other table had theirs cleaned off. Worst restaurant experience I've had. My husband and I went here for breakfast after seeing a TikTok post. He ordered chilaquiles and I ordered huevos rancheros. Everything was delicious. Excuse me? There was a credit card surcharge of 3% applied? I wasn't made aware of this surcharge when I ordered. Why are we expected to pay this cost? This should have been covered on the business side. If you are going to order from this place be sure to track the cost of what you are ordering. I ordered my stout and i let it sit as the foam settled and realized that the pour did not fill up the glass. I let the staff know and they fixed the issue by topping off my drink. The staff are very friendly and understanding. During my first visit, we ordered the ribs and brisket as well as a tri tip salad. The brisket was very tender and juicy. I usually avoid ordering briskets since most BBQ places in San Jose that I've been to have made them very dry. There was only one piece that wasn't juicy which I expected since it had no fat on it. It was still tender and not dried out. The ribs were also good. It was tender and didn't stick to the bone as much but it wasn't as tender where it just slides off the bone. The seasoning on the ribs was neutral and the BBQ Pit have their own special bbq sauce (regular and spicy) which goes well with the meat. My wife ordered the tri tip salad and she enjoyed it. I stole some of her greens to balance the meat and beer and the veggies were fresh. The salad came with cornbread but I didn't try it. On my second visit, I decided to get the tri tip woith a side of baked potato and coleslaw. The baked potato was $3 extra. The tri tip had really good flavor and texture. It ripped apart easily when pulling. The coleslaw was ok. I might get the mac and cheese or beans next time. My wife ate the baked potato and ate most of it. I tried a little bit where it was just the potato and it was not overcooked and not too undercooked. It was easy to scoop with the fork without too much effort. If you are in the area and craving for BBQ, I highly recommend trying this place. The portion is not as big as BBQ joints in Texas or KC but they are on par with the ones around San Jose. The pricing is decent and like I mentioned, is also on par to San Jose pricing. If you have a big group, there are plenty of tables to accommodate folks. The location is close to the highway so that's a plus. The staff is very helpful and will give you a good recommendation if you are debating on what to order.

Tonight, we visited La Más Querida Cantina & Cocina, a Mexican restaurant tucked away off Story Road and Highway 101 on the northeast side of San Jose. After reading some strong reviews--and being big fans of quality Mexican food--we decided to give it a try. We've been to many (if not all) of the top-rated Mexican spots in the South Bay, so our expectations were high. Not to mention, I lived in LA for over a decade and grew to love authentic Mexican cooking from my coworkers and friend's moms. When we arrived, the restaurant was relatively quiet, but it started filling up as we enjoyed our meal. We did have a small hiccup when one of our appetizers was missed, but it was quickly addressed and honestly didn't take away from the overall experience. What stood out most was the food--it was phenomenal. Every dish we tried was packed with flavor, well-seasoned, and clearly made with quality ingredients. From the sauces to the chips, the shrimp to the skirt steak, even the beans--everything was on point. As people who regularly fine dine (feel free to check my profile), we were genuinely impressed by the depth of flavor and the thoughtful execution. The vibe of the place was lively and welcoming, and while it's a bit of a drive for us, we're already planning a return visit. The staff was young, friendly, and attentive, and the overall service was warm and casual in the best way. A few extras worth noting: we appreciated the large, high-quality TVs around the space--great for catching a game. The one small suggestion I'd make is upgrading the napkins to higher-quality or reusable cloth ones. It would elevate the overall dining experience even further. Pricing was very reasonable, the ambiance was fun, and the restaurant is located in a huge plaza with plenty of parking, surrounded by other Mexican grocery stores, restaurants, and shops. It's a vibrant area that adds to the charm of the visit if you're looking for authenticity. All in all, La Más Querida is a fantastic find. We're excited to come back, try more dishes, and bring friends and family along next time. read more

I was scrolling through Instagram when I came across an incredible reel showcasing a must-visit spot that serves up elevated Mexican cuisine! The vibrant flavors and innovative dishes caught my attention, and I couldn't wait to check it out! RESERVATION I made a reservation for a table for four through their website. Upon arrival, I noticed that our table was indeed reserved, and we were quickly seated despite the waitlist. AMBIANCE If you love a lively atmosphere filled with music and laughter, Club La Mas Querida is the place to be! The music was pumping, and everyone was having a great time. Every time a round of shots was ordered, an employee in a Bad Bunny mask would dance out with a group to deliver the shots, creating an energetic bottle service vibe. What an experience! FOOD We ordered several items to share. They were good and well presented. The food was enjoyable. * Chips, Queso & Beans: The chips were fresh and crispy. I believe they're made in house. Salsa was delicious. * Ceviche Mitotero:The ceviche featured a delightful mix of fresh seafood, providing a flavorful experience. The portion size was generous, and it was nicely accompanied by tostadas and lime, enhancing the overall enjoyment of the dish. * Bone Marrow: This dish was recommended by the waiter, so we ordered it. It featured two pieces of bone marrow served on a bed of salad, topped with a special dressing, corn, and cheese. Unfortunately, this was my least favorite dish. It was pricey and not enjoyable. * Carne Asada Skilley x2: We ordered two carne asada plates, one with shrimp, and the other with quesadilla. Everything was seasoned well and delicious. The modern Mexican cuisine here is vibrant and full of flavor, offering an exciting dining experience. The menu features a diverse selection, including sushi and impressive tomahawk steaks. La Más Querida Cantina & Cocina. My husband Keith and I truly enjoyed dining at your restaurant: La Más Querida Cantina & Cocina. We had such an exciting and memorable time, and our waitress, Anny (spelled with a Y), was absolutely phenomenal. She is a very beautiful lady with a beautiful personality, and her service made our experience even more special. I also loved the staff's energy. While we were there, a birthday was being celebrated, and the way your team joined in showed just how much you know how to make guests feel welcome and celebrated. The food was outstanding. I had the ribeye with lobster tail, and my husband's dish was just as amazing. Both meals were a 10 out of 10--perfectly seasoned and full of flavor. "Antonio is hands down one of the best bartenders I've ever had! His attention to detail, creativity, and friendly personality made my experience at La Mas Querida unforgettable. He crafted amazing cocktails with perfect balance and even took the time to recommend a drink based on my preferences. On top of that, the food was absolutely phenomenal--every bite was packed with flavor and beautifully presented. What truly set this experience apart was the hospitality. The food was decent, but the service was truly disappointing. It felt like we were constantly being ignored by the staff. Each time we requested something, we had to repeat our request to multiple people before finally receiving what we needed. The only highlight of our experience was the entertainer wearing the Bad Bunny mask, who was friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I wish he could have received the tip instead, as he was the only person who made us feel welcome. In contrast, our actual server barely checked on us, didn't bring us what we asked for, yet quickly presented the bill and expected a tip. Sadly, the food quality didn't make up for the poor service. While we truly want to support local businesses, customer service is key. I hope the management will focus on improving their service standards so others can enjoy a better experience. read more

I had a wonderful dining experience at las más Querida in San Jose and a big part of that was thanks to our incredible server, Santi From the moment we were seated, [he/she/they] made us feel genuinely welcome and at ease. Santi was attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable about the menu, and offered great recommendations that ended up being spot on. We especially appreciated the way he checked in at the perfect times--never too often, but always there when we needed something. The service was prompt, our orders were accurate, and even small requests were handled with professionalism and a friendly attitude. He ido tres veces al restaurante, dos fueron a la hora de dinner y la semana pasada tuve la oportunidad de ir al desayuno. El ambiente es más tranquilo que en la noche lo cual me gustó porque pude hablar a gusto. El desayuno con mucho sabor lo recomiendo, en especial los chilaquiles que fue lo que yo ordene. The restaurant was really good and it has great selection Mexican food. I had a good lunch there and the food was nice quality. I'm a taco lover, and this place exceeded all my expectations. The carne asada tacos were so tender, with a little crisp on the outside and perfectly seasoned. The Queso Fundido was rich and flavorful, and paired with the house-made salsa verde, it was absolute perfection. If you want real, street-style tacos, this is the place. this place is overall 10 out of 10 . From the moment we we were warmly greeted and received. Our server Clarissa took her time to explain the menu and even allowed us to have a free cup of coffee upon entry. We got the French toast, Chilaquiles, and Birria. I would order all of these things again. the ambience was reminiscent of an authentic Mexican restaurant. They also brought out the Bad Bunny mask for my birthday celebration and gave me a free shot. Always coming to this restaurant with my mom, mornings and nights. It's definitely busier at nights but there's more ambiance and music if you're in the party mood. In the mornings it's nice and calm. We almost always get the same server, Samuel. He is the best always really kind and gets to know his customers. The food is also always BOMB! I really don't have anything negative to say. Definitely recommend coming here especially if you're celebrating something they have little shows for birthdays and such. read more
