I had a great time at this place. We were a group of six celebrating an upcoming wedding on a Monday. The food was good and our server Erica was super attentive. There were also a few others that did a great job brining back drink menus and the dessert list. I wish I could remember their names. We chose this place because of the social media frenzy and they didn't disappoint. They turn down the lights and turn up the music for a short celebration. Came here for a birthday luncheon with co-workers. The staff was very attentive - Isabel, Sam and another gentleman whose name I was not able to get (my apologies). There was a little confusion, but they took care of it quickly. The decor is cute too and made me think I was traveling abroad. The food tasted great and the presentation looked lovely! There's screens, nice decorations, and loud music. The music definitely gets the party mood going and everyone gets hyped up. I wouldn't come here if you're looking for a nice conversation because the restaurant is really loud. My drink tasted kind of smoky which I was not a fan of. The creamy corn was a good dip. It was the first time my husband and I visited the restaurant. I had seen videos of the food and the shows from their Instagram. I had high expectations, so we waited for a special occasion to go. With valentine weekend being around the corner at the time i thought this would be the perfect time. First of all, it was a bad idea not to make a reservation since the place gets quite full and there is a waiting list. That was on us we didn't know we could make reservations as well. We managed to get in after about an hour wait. I would have liked to have a table in front, but i knew not to get my hopes up at least we were in. We got one of the tables at the back of the restaurant, which was nicely decorated i might add, With a nice bar! The restaurant is clean and the food is really good! Unfortunately the only downside or negative part of our experience was the waitress who served us, her name was Alejandra. Since it was our first time there, we didn't know much about the menu. I didn't ask to many questions because as she stood there she was basically mean mugging and rushing us, as if she were in a hurry to be done with us. I understand that they are busy and that there are a lot of customers, but you can be a bit more respectful and patient and just be kind when taking orders. Two stars because the restaurant was great and I hope to return with a reservation or a little earlier.. hopefully we have someone else serve us. I was very excited about this place but I got food poisoning last Saturday with the grilled octopus dish. I spent all night and next day sick in bed. They need to be more careful. I gotta say as soon as I walked in, I was immediately greeted by someone who wasn't exactly the host, but knew that I needed attention and service immediately, he shook my hand and welcomed me in and got the host to find me a booth ASAP. It was beautifully decorated with murals on the walls also had a huge screen above the bar had plenty of space and plenty of seating for large groups. There was actually a few large groups the night I went. The menu was a pretty good size with lots of selections, but not so many that it was overwhelming. The dishes we ordered were large portion and very flavorful my server Clarissa, was well dressed, looked professional, and was very nice and attentive to my table. I had my girlfriend with me and her friend they both are from the Philippines so it was a wonderful experience to show them a Mexican restaurant in San Jose. The service was excellent. Clarissa and her team would check on us quite often so we never felt unattended. by the way, the entire staff was so friendly and helpful I appreciate that. The food also came out pretty quickly and they made sure to clean our dirty plates so the table wouldn't be so crowded. The place was great. We had a good experience. I don't know why I haven't been there before. Reservation is recommended. We went on a Saturday around 4 pm, we were told it would be 40 minutes wait, but we only waited 25 minutes. However the wait is worth it. The food was super delicious, the service was really good, and it was a fun atmosphere. We ordered the chicken enchiladas in green sauce, the sushi, the burger, and the shrimp wrapped in beacon, and everything was delicious.
