Went for my routine since I was in the area. Always a happy feeling. Food was good and flavor was nice. The spicy sausage was good with the pork shop dish

This place was a staple growing up, and I've been here countless times. This was my first visit back in years, and I was happy to find it's still just as good as I remember. They serve all the Taiwanese classics, and everything we tried tasted great. We ordered these items to share: Taiwanese Sausage Rice - There's something about this place's sausage that tastes different from others. It's always good. (5/5) Popcorn Chicken - Super crispy with tons of flavor. I'd definitely recommend getting this. (5/5) Beef Noodle Soup - I liked that it wasn't overly spicy or packed with oil. The broth was just right and very tasty. Delicious. (4.5/5) Shaved Ice - We got the custom option where you can choose five different toppings for around $13. It was good, though I'm not crazy about the syrup they added. Still refreshing. (4/5) Overall, this place is comfort food and pure nostalgia for me. Prices were reasonable, with our total coming out to about $55 for all four dishes. I'd definitely come back when I'm craving classic Taiwanese food.

Haven't been to Sinbala in like 8 years but it still hits the spot. Got the fried pork chop with dried vermicelli noodles, beef noodle soup, spicy wontons, and of course the Sinbala sausage. Food came out quick and tasted fresh. The pork was crunchy and juicy and side - not dry at all. The beef noodle soup impressed me. A lot of Taiwanese places make it super beef focused almost like a beef concentrate. This one used a lot of other herbs and reminded me of some bowls I've had in Taipei. The sausage classic as always. 5 stars for high quality food at an affordable price. A nostalgic spot for Taiwanese in the SGV

This is a great place for both food and dessert. For food, we got the sausage rice, fried pork chop rice, popcorn chicken, and a spicy beef noodle soup. My favorites here are the rice dishes. The rice dishes usually come with some egg and tomato, corn, and steamed cabbage. The sausage and fried pork chop were both good. The fried pork chop was boneless, tender, and not overly fried. The popcorn chicken was just ok. Some of the meat was a bit hard/dry and visually some pieces just did not look very appealing. I would skip this next time. The beef noodle soup was on the spicier side. The dish had two pieces of beef, some cabbage pieces but no other green veggies, and they use a thicker noodle. The broth is dark and flavorful. It was not bad but I prefer the rice dishes over this. For dessert, we got a custom shave ice that comes with 5 items. We picked lychee, red bean, taro balls, rice balls, and condensed milk. It comes in a big bowl so easy to share. It is also already topped with a brown sugar syrup so the condensed milk might not be necessary. I always enjoy getting one of these at the end of our meal! Located in a plaza with easily accessible free parking. Service is quick. Ambience is casual/basic and decent for an Asian restaurant (but keep your expectations low). One of my favorite spots for Taiwanese food and shave ice!

Spicy beef noodle soup - the best beef noodle soup out of all the places I've tried.... Beef is tender. Love the texture of the noodles

One of the best places for spicy beef noodle soup. The broth is so strong and flavorful. The beef is tender. The noodles are nice and chewy. It's served with preserved veggies that are just the right sourness. Must order. We also order the Taiwanese Sinbala sausage with garlic slices. The sausages are so yummy. Something about that flavor that just makes you want more. Remember to bring mints cause it'll definitely make your breath smell. This visit we also ordered the squid ball noodle soup. The squid balls are specially made and are nice and chewy. The broth was thick and tasty. Definitely will be back. Service was minimal. They gave us self serve large container of water. It's located in a mid size plaza with sufficient parking.

La SinBala is a true mom-and-pop Taiwanese cafe serving up comfort food that hits the spot every time. It's tucked in a busy Arcadia plaza with plenty of parking, making it an easy stop for lunch or dinner. The food is classic Taiwanese comfort, we loved the beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, and beef rolls. Everything came out super quick, portions were generous, and you will definitely leave full. It's especially fun to go with a bigger group so you can order a variety of dishes to share. Service isn't the warmest, but it's efficient enough for how fast the food comes out. Just note there's a $30 minimum for credit cards, so plan accordingly. All in all, a reliable go-to for hearty, authentic Taiwanese food in the SGV.

We always eat here when we head up towards the area! It's my favorite Taiwanese cafe for their famous Taiwanese sausage and their 8 treasure shaved ice. We will also order other items but those two are our staples. We also always order packages of frozen raw sausage to bring home for some easy and delicious meals. The to go sausage packs are $15...which has increased over the years but my family loves it so much that we buy it regardless! It's funny how we ordered the cold chicken noodles and it actually comes out in a prepackaged to go container even though we are dining in. This place is definitely not about presentation but we love the authentic home style foods. Service is friendly and no nonsense. They provide your own water pitcher to refill your own waters. There are also napkins on the table.

Grew up coming here for Taiwanese food, so it holds a lot of nostalgia for me. The Taiwanese sausage plate is my favorite, it's so good, and I always grab a pack of the frozen sausages before I leave. Overall, everything here is good. Prices have definitely gone up over the years, but the food is still very good. The servers were friendly, and the atmosphere is simple and comfortable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for authentic Taiwanese food.

ICONIC TAIWANESE RESTAURANT. They used to have one in the Bay area where I lived, but that location closed. Whenever my parents come to visit SoCal, we make sure to have this place! What we got: scallion pancake (10/10 yums): I really liked how crispy the scallion pancakes were. They weren't too oily and I felt like they had a nice amount of flavor to them. shrimp wonton noodle soup with vermicelli (10/10 yums): As someone who really likes to drink soup, this was not too salty and I liked the wontons that were in it as well. It was a small piece of shrimp with some ground up pork. Overall, very good! boiled veggies (10/10 yums): honestly, my parents ordered this so I'm not too sure what kind of veggies they were, but they were part of the appetizer with the meat sauce on top. We opted to not have the meat sauce because my dad is vegetarian and it was still very good! vegetarian dumplings (10/10 yums): very good! I liked how the filling was a mixture of vermicelli and veggies. My only problem with this one was that the top of the dumpling skin was a little thick and wasn't cooked all the way through. veggie oyster omelette (10/10 yums): love how they have a vegetarian option of this! I really liked it and it was super classic. There was a good balance of the egg vs. mushroom and the rice flour inside. Overall, great place for Taiwanese food! Parking is easy as there is a big lot. I also recommend the shaved ice if you are there during summer!

Consistent, good food, good service! My favorites are the popcorn chicken rice, Taiwanese sausage rice (with sliced garlic on the side), spicy wonton (garlicky!), and XLB (takes 20 minutes). We also get the honey green tea which is always on point and the brown sugar milk. I also love the "shaved ice" with toppings. It's a large serving and good for two people or one super hungry person. Hits the spot on hot days!

I ordered to go on the phone the waiter didn't mention it to me that's CASH ONLY below $25. I purchased sausage rice about $17. And they don't let me use credit card so I have to went back to my car, luckily my friend has enough cash borrowed to me. And when I got home and check the bag they didn't even provide me a receipt which I thought the cashier would provide it in the bag because when I pay CASh they didn't ask me do I need a receipt. The important part it's not busy at all during the lunch time and I was the only customer there. They should not have excuses for too busy to forget to provide receipt for cash customer. The taste is so so and would not go back again!

Traditional Taiwanese food. Lots of good stuff on the menu but had a food marathon on vacation so was only able to order these items. Went at 11am, ease of parking and plenty of seating. They are famous for their sausage and desserts. If in the area, a must try.

How much does one pound of frozen sausage cost?

I cannot read Chinese but I posted the prices of the frozen items on Yelp!

Do they have a credit card minimum?

    Yes, $30.

Is the Taiwanese sausage similar to Char sui sausage? Ever since Paul's Kitchen in Monterey Park closed I've been trying to find similar or better.

Yes, I would say it's similar! Bring cash because I don't think they take card.

Do they have new hours and what time do they stop picking up the phone?

How are they operating during Covid? Is it different?

They will tell you that last order time was 2:30, and you can stay till 3:00pm. But after 2:30, the server will take back your food which you're still working, twice, without asking if they can take it. When I stop the server, she told me rudely… Read more
