Had a delicious brunch this past Sunday morning at Lapisara Eatery. My friend and I were a little worried as there seemed to be a sizeable crowd outside, but fortunately we were sat within 15 minutes of arriving. I decided to order the Fried Chicken Benedict and I really enjoyed it. The chicken was super crispy, and paired well with the egg and English muffin. Also, they gave lots of potatoes and I had a decent amount to take home. My only comment was that the potatoes weren't quite as crispy as I would have liked, and the chicken was a little dry. However, on the table they have some housemade strawberry jam. TRY IT. I don't think I have had jam that delicious in a very very long time! I even took some of the English muffin from my benedict, and paired it with the jam to eat. 10/10 recommend! And our waitress was so sweet she even let me take a small container of it to go. Overall, service and food were really good. I'll definitely consider coming back when in SF. read more

We made it here for breakfast, although initially Google took us to the wrong location -- it was so strange because the address was correct but the pin was wrong :( So we ended up needing 2 Ubers to get to the right location ultimately. I think Google has now removed the erroneous listing but it might be a good idea to check the map before you start your navigation. The restaurant is cute with big windows and lots of natural light. There are lots of yummy-looking breakfast options, including some Thai dishes. I decided I wanted an American-style breakfast and went with the fried chicken benedict, which was excellent. The flavors were great and it wasn't too heavy. Unfortunately one of my eggs was undercooked (runny white, yuck) and they were very apologetic and remade it. The potatoes were also tasty, well-cooked and seasoned. read more

We came in a group of 5 girls around 7pm on Sunday night. It wasnt busy at all and the waitress was attentive and unbothered by our eager chitchat before our event elsewhere that night. The venue and ambience was a 10/10. Its small, but spacious enough to enjoy your surroundings. The food was exceptional delicious...10/10 as well. The presentation only made it that much better to dig in. And when we did, the tastes were unexplainably tasteful. Green Curry with Roti: roti was warm, crispy and soft at the same time. The curry was just the perfect amount of spicy to give you that kick, but not too much as to where you feel the spice on your tongue after. The roti also balanced the little kick the curry did give off. Pad Thai Shrimp: the prawns are big and definitely worth getting! There were about 6 shrimps, which is moderately a good amount for the price of the plate. The pad thai was flavorful and didn't have that bland noodle taste you get when you bite into it. Quite tasty and fulfilling. Chicken Holy Basil Chili Bomb: the chicken was cut and seasoned and sauteed with red bell peppers..amazing! It comes with one fried egg right on top which is the perfect addition to tie the rice and chicken mix together. There were cucumbers on the side as well..I like cucumbers. Thai Iced Tea: it was hard not to sip the entire glass in one gulp, to be completely honest, it was that good. The amount of ice didnt overpower the thai tea part. Coffee: brewed perfectly enough as to where both ladies who order couldn't say no to a 2nd cup. We walked out with happy belly's, satisfied spirits, and returning intentions. I'll definitely be returning and recommending this gem of a restaurant to others, too. read more

My one favorite brunch spots in SF! Servings are pretty big, I recommend ordering any of the fried chicken dishes they are A+. Service is great, the line is usually long but goes by pretty quick. They have indoor and outdoor seating available. read more

I was wondering what an American/Burger/Thai place would be like so decided to give this place a shot, also given the good reviews on Yelp. So apparently there's very little 'fusion' going on: the place is Burgers and stuff in the morning and Thai for dinner. Almost two separate places. I was here for dinner and everything was very good. Fresh rolls for starters and Papaya Salad for entree did the job for me and these dishes were really good. The peanut sauce for the rolls is amazing and the papaya salad was pretty good too. Can't complain but also not 5 stars because I thought for the price the portions could be a little bigger. read more

I love their chicken and waffles and their Queen B bacon. The chicken is so flavorful and juicy and not too greasy and the breading isn't too thick. Their coffee, orange juice, and Bellinis are also incredibly good. They have outdoor sidewalk and "Parklet" seating in addition to reduced indoor seating. All of their waitstaff wear masks and gloves and it made me feel safer seeing them Sanitize the outdoor tables and chairs in between parties. I've also had their Thai dinner dishes for take out. Also very delicious. OSHA Thai down the street from them is good and slightly less expensive but Lapisara has a deeper more well rounded flavors. read more

Such a cute lowkey little spot in the city! A friend and I came here for happy hour after work and got their $6 cocktails along with a bunch of small things to snack on. We had a really great time and I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice little spot to catch up with friends. Came here on a Saturday for brunch with some friends and scored seats right away. They've got a decent amount of outdoor seating - we sat in the side section of the restaurant instead of the front section (side section isn't as glamorous as the front) but the server still did a great job of checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed. We ordered the pancake set with sunny side up eggs and bacon and fresh fruit, the fried chicken sandwich, and the steak and eggs. They were all very beautifully plated and tasty! read more

Incredible brunch place, not so great Thai place. This restaurant is always packed on Sunday mornings, to the point that they've stopped accepting reservations for brunch on weekends and Mondays. Any time I'm in SF I make sure to stop by with friends, it's become a tradition to come here whenever we're in town. We stopped by to try out the Thai dinners recently and were not wowed, the packed dining space stops being endearing when it's dark out, a rowdier crowd is dining, and you can smell what the three tables around you are eating. read more

I came here with my family and for drinks I ordered a thai tea latte. To my surprise it was really good, i highly reccomend. My mom got a cappuccino and for those strong coffee lovers this is for you. I got the perfect burger and it was pretty good but the dish I liked the most was the fried chicken Benedict. It was amazing, their fried chicken is both crispy and juicy. I recommend using uber or bart to get here as the parking meters around here are all broken. read more

Cute neighborhood cafe for brunch. There are classic brunch items as well as dishes with Thai elements in them. The garden omelette was nice and flavorful! The potatoes were a little on the mushier side -- wish they were a bit more crunchy and crisp like other ones I've had before. As for the avo toast... it was underwhelming. It was pretty -- yes -- with the flower adorned, but it was bland in flavor. The amount of avocado was generous but should've had lemon juice, salt, and/or olive oil on it. It was a lot of creaminess on top of bread so it felt like a whole lot of nothing. Def room for improvement! This place has a lot of potential. I'm excited to come back and try other things on their menu. read more

Went in for brunch and it was quite busy - we got there around 11:30 and didn't get seated till after 12. The silver lining was that we had had time to peruse the menu and could order right away when we sat down. I got the fried chicken benedict, and while the chicken was nice and crispy, it lacked seasoning. I also thought they could have been a bit more generous with the hollandaise; I always like to have some left over for the the English muffin to sop up. Generally though, it was a satisfying meal and I left stuffed. read more

This was a miss for my partner and me. At the cusp of a sketchy neighborhood, Lapisara takes American staples and puts a Thai spin on them, whilst also giving you that lovely Tenderloin experience. This place looks nice however the decor outweighed the quality of the food. Also seating wise it's very close together and although the pandemic has subsided, it didn't feel like enough space in between seats to feel comfortable. My partner ordered the fried chicken and rice. The chicken was undercooked and flavorless. Gross. I ordered a basic breakfast but wasn't wowed for the price. Overall this place was lacking. Quick service and great food. Can't ask for more. Hubby got the crab omelette & I got the chix & waffles. Both plates were empty & wiped clean in record timing. Super cute establishment. We dined outside but went inside to use the facilities. Would definitely come back (to dine and not necessarily for the facilities) next time we're in SF. read more

I am just visiting SF and staying close by - found this while looking for a brunch spot, and i am very pleased! The food was very good with generous portions. We didnt get the bacon but the table next to us did and i have never seen bacon that thick! Only cons i would say are: we needed to queue for a while, it was worth it though. And both mine and my friends poached eggs were very very over cooked. read more

Second time here and absolutely love it. I've had the Tom yum burrito twice and it is sooo good. Very filling but super flavorful. The side of chips rival a good Mexican place. :o) Staff has always been incredibly kind and prompt with service. Restrooms are very clean. I do wish they had fresh squeezed orange juice, but no real complaints. I need to come back for dinner at some point. read more

This restaurant is one of the hip brunch places in San Francisco with photogenic presentation and the flavor is just as great. There is usually a line for brunch here but the wait is not that bad. I went here with my group of friends and we all ordered something different and very happy with it. The portion is big with plenty of carbs from baked potato, but they are not too greasy - I am always happy when brunch places give you plenty of baked potato or harsh browns. I had crab omelet and a side of fruit salad, it was very yummy and the fruits are super fresh - perfect for morning brunch. The owner of this restaurant is a super nice lady. Even though we were waiting for one person for our group, she said it's ok and got a table for us. So we were able to order for another friend coming late. She kept checking on us to make sure everything is going great, and also explained which dishes are the most favorable. Super good service! And the decor is very pretty as well. If you are looking for another brunch place to try out, definitely should try this one! read more

We literally found this place by accident, and it turned out to be a neighborhood gem. Came here on a Saturday morning, and this place had a line out the door (and for good reason). It didn't take long to get seated for a party of two though. Immediately you're welcomed to a naturally lit space with a fun, modern Thai aesthetic. Bonus points just for interior alone. Extra bonus points for the super friendly staff and prompt waitress. And to top everything off was a bomb ass salmon toast for brunch. Win win. Everything was prepared fresh - the salmon was generous and they really laid it on with those avocado slices. It almost looked like a salad on top of my toast. And I just gotta call out that perfectly made soft boiled egg - I got my protein in for the day. Brunch never looked so tasty, green, or healthy (unless you order the fried chicken benedict. But I bet that's still tasty, just a little less healthy). read more

The service was actually very good and maybe the food would have been better inside, but they have a VERY SKETCHY outdoor area that has a few leaks when it rains. We just wanted to eat after 45 mins of waiting in the rain so we took the outdoor seat under what we thought was a roof. Husband really did like his chicken and waffles and ate it all. I got the Thai omelet and I just couldn't enjoy it, but I wanted to! The beef was chewy and gray like it was boiled. Sorry but tear down that ugly outdoor area or at least clean the graffiti off the windows!!! read more

I came here with three friends and we had a great brunch! They don't take reservations so we walked in and waited about half an hour for a table. There isn't a lot of standing area but the space is very cute and the owner was very gracious to us. I ordered the regular Benedict and my friends got the chicken Benedict, breakfast burrito, and omelette. The Benedict was really great-- eggs poached perfectly and Hollandaise creamy and delicious. The potatoes on the side were also seasoned really well too. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Super cute brunch spot! Decided to try this place because my boyfriend lives across the street and it's always poppin in the morning. We put our name down on the list on a Saturday morning around 11am. There were about 4 parties ahead of us but it didn't take too long to get a table (~20 min). Love the layout and vibe of this place, it's very modern with lots of light. You can tell people like to spend time here for brunch and order round after round of mimosas. We were led to our table by the owner who is a super cute Thai lady. She immediately pointed out the homemade strawberry preserves at the table which looked delicious! I wish we were in the mood for sweet breakfast items so we could've tried. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and added thai sausage along with an order of the fried chicken benedict. I couldn't help myself after seeing the epic pictures of the benedict from the reviews. I have to say both dishes were amazing! I usually don't get wowed by breakfast food because it can be bland and you have to smother it with a ton of hot sauce to taste anything but this was very very different. The fried chicken in the benedict was well seasoned, crispy, and moist. Egg was nicely poached with the hollandaise sauce being just the right amount and thickness. I loved that the sauce wasn't too heavy. The english muffin was made i believe with soda water so it was very light and soaked up the flavors well. I think it was one of the best benedicts I've ever had! Also loved the breakfast sandwich. Definitely get it with the thai sausage because that definitely made the dish. The sausage was very unique because it was made in house with lemongrass and added a nice level of fresh flavor to the sandwich. Love this place and will definitely be back! read more

We are new guest-forward brunch and dinner restaurant located just outside of Union Square at Post and Jones. We operate as a dual-concept restaurant, providing fusion brunch and new-age Thai flavors for dinner -- Monday through Sunday seven days a week.

I would love to give this restaurant 5 stars but I can't because of my racist experience. But if it was solely based on the friendly grandmother hostess and the food I would because it was delicious as the reviews and pictures definitely do the eatery justice. HOWEVER, they clearly aren't welcoming of Black customers. First, they didn't voluntarily check on our table at no point during our dining experience...not once. For example, even though me and another person ordered bottomless mimosas, they only gave us a single pitcher throughout our entire meal and never even asked if we wanted a refill. Second, since no one was interested in voluntarily checking on our table, I had to summon the staff, which was met with whispers, smiles, pointing, and laughter amongst the staff each time. Please mind you that a party of three of us spent $130 on breakfast plus a 25% tip...which I'm sure surprised them since "Black people don't tip." Well, in addition to my tip, I made sure to leave a note letting them know that I didn't appreciate the treatment and that I hope that it wasn't because of my Blackness...or even worse, because of my clearly visible sexual orientation as my gayness was on full display as its San Fran Pride weekend. Well regardless of what their bias was rooted in, its ridiculous as this restaurant is Asian-owned, and they themselves should know first hand what it feels like to be treated like crap as a community color just because of the color of your skin. As a Black woman, this type of treatment is common among Asians at the beauty supply store, takeout restaurant, and I've even had Asian friends say that they aren't allowed to date Black people....all the while pandering to white people. Well I don't know what type of racist ideologies they're teaching in Asia before migration to the United States, but the Trump administration should show you that those same white people view you just the same as black, brown, and yellow folks. So next time a Black person helps to keep your small minority-owned business in business, try to keep that in mind do better and be better. And just so that its clearly that I'm not making this racist encounter up on my mind, one of the establishment's only kind waitresses apologized before we left. read more

We came into The City for our annual weekend just before the start of the holidays. As part of our time, we scouted out affordable, quality dining options, and Lapisara came up in our search, so we made dinner reservations. The menu was creative and as mentioned, affordable (two people can leave with under $100 for dinner). But I'm afraid that's where the "pros" ended. 1. In winter, despite making reservations, insist on being seated as far from the front door as possible! It's freezing!! And it doesn't help that the restaurant also does not seem to want to turn on any heat inside (it was chilly throughout our stay!) 2. At two points, it seemed that perhaps our dishes were forgotten. We were patient, and eventually (20 minutes later, for dessert, for example), they arrived. 3. The food quality and taste were not bad at all! But equally so, I don't understand the hype behind this restaurant. Maybe we didn't order either of their better dishes? I'm not sure. Again, it was not bad! But I would call it mediocre. I'm not sure that we will return. We live in the North Bay, so we're in The City a lot. But I doubt we will venture over to Lapisara again. Should you flat-out avoid this place? No! Should you heed the advice given? I'd recommend it, but the choice is yours. read more

If you're looking for a bottomless brunch spot come to Lapisara!! They have great food, drink, and coffee/latte options with a cute outdoor seating area. We came for brunch on a Sunday morning and while we couldn't make a reservation, we were able to get a table for two outside without a wait. The waiters were really friendly and gave our dog a water bowl too. The food is Thai fusion, so they had dishes like scrambles, hashes, sandwiches along with fried rice and noodles. I loved the Fried Rice with Fried chicken dish I got, it was so flavorful and I had lots of leftovers. One of their popular dishes was the Chicken and Waffles which was also delicious- the waffle was sweet and crispy and went so well with the flavorful chicken.
