We literally found this place by accident, and it turned out to be a neighborhood gem. Came here on a Saturday morning, and this place had a line out the door (and for good reason). It didn't take long to get seated for a party of two though. Immediately you're welcomed to a naturally lit space with a fun, modern Thai aesthetic. Bonus points just for interior alone. Extra bonus points for the super friendly staff and prompt waitress. And to top everything off was a bomb ass salmon toast for brunch. Win win. Everything was prepared fresh - the salmon was generous and they really laid it on with those avocado slices. It almost looked like a salad on top of my toast. And I just gotta call out that perfectly made soft boiled egg - I got my protein in for the day. Brunch never looked so tasty, green, or healthy (unless you order the fried chicken benedict. But I bet that's still tasty, just a little less healthy). read more

This was a miss for my partner and me. At the cusp of a sketchy neighborhood, Lapisara takes American staples and puts a Thai spin on them, whilst also giving you that lovely Tenderloin experience. This place looks nice however the decor outweighed the quality of the food. Also seating wise it's very close together and although the pandemic has subsided, it didn't feel like enough space in between seats to feel comfortable. My partner ordered the fried chicken and rice. The chicken was undercooked and flavorless. Gross. I ordered a basic breakfast but wasn't wowed for the price. Overall this place was lacking. I came here with three friends and we had a great brunch! They don't take reservations so we walked in and waited about half an hour for a table. There isn't a lot of standing area but the space is very cute and the owner was very gracious to us. I ordered the regular Benedict and my friends got the chicken Benedict, breakfast burrito, and omelette. The Benedict was really great-- eggs poached perfectly and Hollandaise creamy and delicious. The potatoes on the side were also seasoned really well too. Overall, I would definitely recommend this place! read more

Super cute brunch spot! Decided to try this place because my boyfriend lives across the street and it's always poppin in the morning. We put our name down on the list on a Saturday morning around 11am. There were about 4 parties ahead of us but it didn't take too long to get a table (~20 min). Love the layout and vibe of this place, it's very modern with lots of light. You can tell people like to spend time here for brunch and order round after round of mimosas. We were led to our table by the owner who is a super cute Thai lady. She immediately pointed out the homemade strawberry preserves at the table which looked delicious! I wish we were in the mood for sweet breakfast items so we could've tried. We ordered the breakfast sandwich and added thai sausage along with an order of the fried chicken benedict. I couldn't help myself after seeing the epic pictures of the benedict from the reviews. I have to say both dishes were amazing! I usually don't get wowed by breakfast food because it can be bland and you have to smother it with a ton of hot sauce to taste anything but this was very very different. The fried chicken in the benedict was well seasoned, crispy, and moist. Egg was nicely poached with the hollandaise sauce being just the right amount and thickness. I loved that the sauce wasn't too heavy. The english muffin was made i believe with soda water so it was very light and soaked up the flavors well. I think it was one of the best benedicts I've ever had! Also loved the breakfast sandwich. Definitely get it with the thai sausage because that definitely made the dish. The sausage was very unique because it was made in house with lemongrass and added a nice level of fresh flavor to the sandwich. Love this place and will definitely be back! read more

Stopped in for brunch on a family vacation and really enjoyed it. All of the dishes were great and the portions were insanely big. The Tom Yum burrito was really unique and the salsa with lemongrass was outstanding. The fried chicken burger was two patties and the sambal Mayo was a great touch. The $22 bottomless mimosas were a hit as well. We all left very happy with our choices. read more

The service was actually very good and maybe the food would have been better inside, but they have a VERY SKETCHY outdoor area that has a few leaks when it rains. We just wanted to eat after 45 mins of waiting in the rain so we took the outdoor seat under what we thought was a roof. Husband really did like his chicken and waffles and ate it all. I got the Thai omelet and I just couldn't enjoy it, but I wanted to! The beef was chewy and gray like it was boiled. Sorry but tear down that ugly outdoor area or at least clean the graffiti off the windows!!! read more

Happened to come across this place on a random sunday afternoon and decided to give it a try. Ambiance/decor- Very modern, rustic boutique cafe. Clean restrooms, great location. A smaller sized cafe but they were easily able to seat our party of seven. Food- We ordered: Dungeness crab omelette- fresh and flavorful, highly recommend Fried chicken benedict- fried to perfection, crispy goodness Steak and eggs- steak was perfectly prepared, good portion size Avocado Toast with poached eggs- they definitely loaded up the avocado mash, was served on brioche bread, if you're into avocado toast- highly recommend French toast- coated with crushed cashew and Reese's puffs, need I say more? Tom Yum Burrito- a must try, good twist if you like Thai food rolled into a breakfast burrito Bottomless mimosas- the 4 boyfriends got totally trashed Overall the service was good, staff was friendly, checked in often and kept the mimosas rolling out. This place was amazing. Me and my girlfriend just left and had such an amazing time with our experience here that I decided to do my first YELP review cause of it haha. We came here on a Saturday at 11am and after a 15-20 minute wait we were seated and had great customer service. I had the Shrimp and Spinach frittata and my girlfriend had the Garden Omelet. We also shared chicken sausage and ordered the French Toast. Everything was amazing and the French toast had the perfect blend of fresh fruit with Reese's pieces encrusted around it. Wow is all i can say. The Fried Chicken Benedict was sooooo good its the best i have ever had 10/10. When i arrived at the restaurant it was super packed and crowded so arrive early or order way ahead of time. The server was nice and gave me my order quick even with her having to accommodate for so many people. I ordered way ahead took about 20-30 mins if i can remember but so worth it. I will be back seriously!!! read more

Super excited my boyfriend and I stumbled upon this place for brunch! The restaurant overall was extremely inviting and the open windows let in so much natural light. The decorations were ridiculously cute, not to mention the entire aesthetic seemed like it came straight out of Pinterest. The food was also delicious. I got the pulled pork eggs benedict, and let me tell you, I am not the biggest fan of pulled pork. But this dish was so tasty and the portion was huge so I couldn't even finish all of it! My boyfriend also loved his NY steak and eggs. 10/10 would highly recommend coming here for brunch! read more

We had a tough time deciding what to pick. They have great brunch option and the food was delicious. It does tend to get crowded and there is no reservations for brunch. The line does move quickly since they've added outdoor seating. If you're busting SF definitely check this place out. read more

My sister came to town to visit, so we decided to explore new restaurants and cafes in SF: Parking: Paid street parking or garages; not easy by any means; near public transportation (i.e., BART) Ambience: I love how much natural lighting there is in the restaurant, and the decor is chic. Service: Really, great customer service. :) The staff were friendly and prompt. We had such a good experience here. Order: We ordered: - Chicken & Waffles: The fried chicken was delicious; they were coated well and had a touch of sweetness: cinnamon sugar and brown sugar. They were also perfectly fried. The waffle was good, but it wasn't special. Verdict: 4 b/c the customer service was great, the chicken was delicious, and the waffles were similar to other places (but didn't stand out). This place was a wonderful brunch surprise and probably somewhere soon rising in popularity! I stayed with a few friends at the JW Marriott in the Union Square area and wanted a place to walk to for brunch. We originally intended to go to farm:table just half a block away but when we arrived we realized that it's not a very sit down friendly place and the line was too long for 10:30 in the morning. So we turned around, was attracted by how cute this place was and decided to just give it a try. Their main brunch menu consists of a good variety of American brunch items like pancakes, chicken and waffles, omelettes, avocado toast, and more. The real Thai inspired brunch menu is on a rotating card on the tables themselves. Everyone at our table got a good variety of the food to try including the dungeness crab omelette, the fried chicken and waffles, the perfect pancakes, and the Thai Tom yum burrito. The Dungeness crab omelette had plenty of crab meat and was simply delicious! Tasted very light but very wholesome. The home potatoes on the side were well seasoned and delicious as well. The burrito was the best option that we tried, so satisfying and the dip it came with for their tortilla chips was super yummy and tangy! Their portions are a great size and priced well too. The perfect pancakes looked absolutely beautiful and picture perfect but more disappointing in taste. Overall kind of bland and soggy. They also had delicious authentic Thai iced tea and delicious coffee! You could see bits of the Thai tea at the bottom of the glass which I don't really mind. They made delicious vanilla lattes of which we were not expecting at all. Love this place! Will definitely come back again and try their other Thai menu items read more

Chose this place based on the rating. Loved that it had some Thai fusion to it. We waited for like 15 minutes for a table, mainly because we wanted to sit inside. People who wanted to sit outside got a table pretty quickly. Everything on the menu looked great. The French toast plate with Thai sausage was very good. Food came out pretty quickly. The only downside is the price is kind of high for breakfast. Other than that I would definitely come back. read more

First time here specially coming into SF I got impress by their food picture. Not so busy which was good but they mixed up my bfs order he ordered French toast but got pancake instead and we was lazy to complain so suck it up and eat it. What I really didn't like was they never offered refill for ice tea but they kept poring him coffee and when I was still eating and he was done they came out with the check and me myself is in same industry wasn't impress about the service that needs to be impress sadly read more

Got the $19 combo meal that comes with Rice, Salad a small Apetizer and drink. Shrimp Wrap is two med sized shrimp wrapped in vermicelli 4/5 Thai Tea 3/5 super duper sweet Salad very basic just a small handful of greens 4/5 Green curry med size veggies tasted fresh and was med on the spicy scale overall 3/5 and Im being generous. There was no real flavor just freshness and spice. Will I be back? No! Considering the other many options in the area. Service 5/5 thank you! All in all decent value for SF. I Was like koo thai & american food together. I was a lil disappointed because they gave the lunch menu & ordered their $16 burger until I realized the special brunch menu which had thai food on the menu & didnt have it on the regular menu. Its a family run business. I spoke to the Mom who granted the change, a $16 burger for the Tum Yum Burrito instead which was nice of her. I only had 30mins for lunch and ended up taking it to go. This is the issue I had. I still rated them a 3 star because they should of mentioned the special brunch menu & the guy waiter laughed not cool. When you running a business you gotta mention the little details that the consumers dont know about. Aside from all that the restaurant looks nice. Modernized seating & light fixtures & welcoming It my first time here & was excited. I haven't experienced a lot of good Asian fusion that wasn't just a western dish served with sesame oil or scallions, so I was very pleasantly surprised by Lapisara! The wait was about 20 minutes (we got there around 11:30) not sure if it's typical as it was Santa Con this weekend. The head manager/owner/host(?) was so friendly and welcoming. The interior is very cute. I got the Tom Yum burrito and it was super good. Served with seasoned chips. All the drinks on the menu also sounded great and looked great. I got the Vodka Lemonade. What an amazing spot for a delicious dinner. This restaurant was very clean and welcoming. We had Pad Thai with chicken and Chicken Curry. They were fantastic. The Pad Thai's spiciness was adjusted to the perfect spice level. It had crispy broccoli and carrots, which made it even better. The Curry Chicken was very flavorful and served with a Yasmin rice. Nice breakfast place with unique mixture of Thai cuisne. This is located in union square area, it is easy to walk there if staying around. I ordered Tom Yum Burrito, it is totally Thai flavor. It has rice and chicken but Tom Yum style fried rice, it is very unique. Decorations also are also good here. We are new guest-forward brunch and dinner restaurant located just outside of Union Square at Post and Jones. We operate as a dual-concept restaurant, providing fusion brunch and new-age Thai flavors for dinner -- Monday through Sunday seven days a week.

But I think tossing it in pork fat is the way to go with Brussels sprouts to really pump up the flavor. I'm not sure what oil they fry it in. I would love to give this restaurant 5 stars but I can't because of my racist experience. But if it was solely based on the friendly grandmother hostess and the food I would because it was delicious as the reviews and pictures definitely do the eatery justice. HOWEVER, they clearly aren't welcoming of Black customers. First, they didn't voluntarily check on our table at no point during our dining experience...not once. For example, even though me and another person ordered bottomless mimosas, they only gave us a single pitcher throughout our entire meal and never even asked if we wanted a refill. Second, since no one was interested in voluntarily checking on our table, I had to summon the staff, which was met with whispers, smiles, pointing, and laughter amongst the staff each time. Please mind you that a party of three of us spent $130 on breakfast plus a 25% tip...which I'm sure surprised them since "Black people don't tip." Well, in addition to my tip, I made sure to leave a note letting them know that I didn't appreciate the treatment and that I hope that it wasn't because of my Blackness...or even worse, because of my clearly visible sexual orientation as my gayness was on full display as its San Fran Pride weekend. Well regardless of what their bias was rooted in, its ridiculous as this restaurant is Asian-owned, and they themselves should know first hand what it feels like to be treated like crap as a community color just because of the color of your skin. As a Black woman, this type of treatment is common among Asians at the beauty supply store, takeout restaurant, and I've even had Asian friends say that they aren't allowed to date Black people....all the while pandering to white people. Well I don't know what type of racist ideologies they're teaching in Asia before migration to the United States, but the Trump administration should show you that those same white people view you just the same as black, brown, and yellow folks. So next time a Black person helps to keep your small minority-owned business in business, try to keep that in mind do better and be better. And just so that its clearly that I'm not making this racist encounter up on my mind, one of the establishment's only kind waitresses apologized before we left. read more

We came into The City for our annual weekend just before the start of the holidays. As part of our time, we scouted out affordable, quality dining options, and Lapisara came up in our search, so we made dinner reservations. The menu was creative and as mentioned, affordable (two people can leave with under $100 for dinner). But I'm afraid that's where the "pros" ended. 1. In winter, despite making reservations, insist on being seated as far from the front door as possible! It's freezing!! And it doesn't help that the restaurant also does not seem to want to turn on any heat inside (it was chilly throughout our stay!) 2. At two points, it seemed that perhaps our dishes were forgotten. We were patient, and eventually (20 minutes later, for dessert, for example), they arrived. 3. The food quality and taste were not bad at all! But equally so, I don't understand the hype behind this restaurant. Maybe we didn't order either of their better dishes? I'm not sure. Again, it was not bad! But I would call it mediocre. I'm not sure that we will return. We live in the North Bay, so we're in The City a lot. But I doubt we will venture over to Lapisara again. Should you flat-out avoid this place? No! Should you heed the advice given? I'd recommend it, but the choice is yours. read more

One of my favorite dishes at Lapisara is the breakfast burrito. It's packed with scrambled eggs, bacon, avocado, and cheese, and it's big enough to keep you satisfied all morning. The huevos rancheros are another standout dish, with perfectly cooked eggs smothered in a spicy tomato sauce and served with beans, rice, and tortillas. During our trip to SF, my family and I decided to visit this restaurant, and we were pleasantly surprised by the experience. As soon as we entered, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. I highly recommend arriving early to avoid any potential wait times. Fortunately, we did so and were seated right away. The service throughout our meal was exceptional, with the staff being friendly, welcoming, and always accommodating. For my order, I opted for a coffee with almond milk, and I also tried their garden omelette with a substitution of egg whites and an addition of sausage inside the omlette. The highlight of the dish was the perfectly seasoned and incredibly crispy yet tender potatoes. Each bite was a burst of flavors as the potatoes simply melted in your mouth. Although it may sound like a simple breakfast, it exceeded my expectations, thanks to those amazing potatoes! I must insist that you try their French toast; it was the star of our meal.
