    Double Burger

I was actually on my way to eat at one of my favorite spots when I saw Lenny's along the way. Because I've never been there before, I decided to turn around and give them a try. Sadly, I regretted the decision as I found Lenny's to be mediocre at best. The place has a retro diner vibe, which is cool. I took a quick look at the menu board above the grill. The young gentleman behind the counter was friendly and took my order. It was difficult to hear him because he spoke slightly louder than a whisper when asking me questions about my order. He handed me my receipt and my cup for my drink. I went to the soft drink dispenser and as I was filling my cup, I heard a slight whisper behind me. It was him. I had to ask him to repeat himself because I didn't catch it the first time. He asked me if my order was a to-go order. No. I had planned on dining there. I seated myself on a stool at a nearby countertop. My food arrived quickly. The fries looked good and they were piping hot. I unwrapped the burger and, at first sight, looked quite delicious. I ordered the #2 Double Burger Combo. The burger was... meh. The patties were thinner than expected and lacked juiciness. They didn't seem seasoned as there was a slight funky flavor that wasn't very appealing. I couldn't help but think they were old frozen burger patties that have seen better days. That being said, I can't say that the burger was awful, but I can't say that it was really good either. For a $10.59 burger, I have had better elsewhere. Would I go back? Probably not. There are too many better options available.

Service was great. Gentleman we ordered from was patient, friendly and attentive. Brought our food to us. Asked if we need a bag for our leftovers when he brought us our milkshakes to go. Nobody inside when we arrived and there was oldies music playing. People came in while we were there but the environment was peaceful. Plenty of parking. Food was delicious.

This is like Ruby's Diner on a budget! Good music and clean restaurant. The menu has a good variety as well. Their corndog is advertised for $1.49 on the window but it's $1.79 on the menu. I understand prices have gone up everywhere but it's not a lot to ask for advertisement to be updated as well. The fries were good, not to salty The patties for both burgers I ordered were extremely thin! I'd rather go to In-N-Out next time considering how much I paid ($36 for all you see on the table!) The staff were friendly.

During covid craziness this location charged for using my debit card. So they lost my business for 5 years. Decided to give them another chance. No fee for a debit card this time. Ordered window ads. $1.49 Root Beer Float. And $7.99 (24) Chicken Nuggets. Counter help/cook seemed dismayed I didn't order higher profit food. After failing to understand the first time I answered him the order was for eating in the restaurant. Had to ask for the 4 sauces advertised. He put zero on the receipt. So the nuggets were good, but I knew most would never count them. I'm an accountant and it's just 2nd nature. Photo shows he cheated me out of 3 nuggets. Yeah, not a big deal right? Wrong! It is fraud in advertising! And just wrong to cheat the customer like that. So, I will never go back unless store management apologizes and gives me a reason to give them another chance

    Such an amazing ambience!

Lenny's is a staple of the community, it is a treasure! The staff is always great and the food is better! Don't forget the fry sauce and I always get my burgers with jalapeños, you can't go wrong!

Chili Dog with kraut. kraut spent time on the flat top before it was added to the dog. I could see the grill marks on the kraut. Chili Dog

Great food. Good music. Will come back again. Chili/kraut dog was great. Old soda shop feeling.

Well ordered the combo. The tea was gross. The fries old and cold. The hamburger had old lettuce and was not good. Waited forever with no other cars in line. I should be aware that when no other cars in line to select another place. What a disappointment!

I can sum up this review in one word, "HONEST"! My FIL loves burgers and while we were recently running some errands I saw the sign and suggested this place. Maybe I wouldn't have had I been alone however, I was pleasantly surprised... Of course there is virtually every stereotypical 50's dinner present, while not really my jam, I get what they were trying to do. The real star was the burger. This was an honest burger that wasn't "designed" by some hipster that tried to improve meat cheese and bun with some offering that used truffles, some fancy cheese, or an obscure veg. This is an honest burger at a very reasonable price.

Food here is amazing. I got the pastrami burger and it was huge and incredibly tasty. The service was quick and guy working there friendly. The inside of the restaurant is themed as a 1950s diner and the music is from that era also. I could do without the 1950s gimmicks but I'm sure boomers like it (I'm not a boomer).

Hello all, well my called and asked to meet for dinner as it was the start of her 3-day weekend, we had going to one of our favorite places Saigon Pho but it was closed so saw this place on our way so back tracked to give it a shot, the appearance of the diner was nice and the inside was very casual and had that 50's vibe look, plenty of seating for the family & friends, I've been craving a chili dog for some time now and decided to try one, I think next time I'll have something different as it just wasn't great a bit salty and the chili seemed to be out of a can but could be wrong, Jen had the Mexican Burger with fries and drink and that was a good choice as she shared half with me, all there burger looked good so would stick with a burger combo if ordering, the staff was nice and helpful in answering a few questions we had, oh and the ice cream cones are pretty good and a good size for what you payed for them $1.25 not sure if I'll be a returning customer but you be the judge and give them a try if in the area.

You cannot go wrong with this place. It's like a local mom and pop Johnny rockets with a lot more on the menu. The decor brings back the old days for sure and gives that great old-school vibe of a burger and shake shop but let me tell you the seafood was really good. I enjoyed all of the burgers and the prices. The shakes are all made on the spot and they are Great.

Since it's a burger joint, Hubs ordered the Balboa and I ordered the Yeti. Wow! My burger was to die for. The rosemary goat cheese with bacon jam was the perfect combo of tangy and sweet! Hubs was eating his burger without any complaints which is what you want. Both of us went with the hand cut fries. Crispy and very good! We can't wait to return. This place is legit!

We asked if they could turn on the sound for the World Cup and they were more than willing to accommodate. I thought the Balboa burger was very good and I would have enjoyed the gas lamp burger better if the red pepper didn't keep slipping out. They don't charge you if you change fries for tots or even your burger patty for a chicken or turkey patty, which is really nice. Lowlights: I'm a big french fry eater and I didn't really like the fries here I found them too soft. The majority of their tables inside are barstools, which is a bit uncomfortable for me personally.

I was a little disappointed that it was a smash burger instead of a thick, juicy patty, but nonetheless the flavors were impeccable. I added a fried egg on top too for $2 to make the burger even heftier. Wow I'm still thinking about it the day after. Also the fries were skinny and perfectly crispy!! But I also got the Beach Please cocktail (1800 Coconut Tequila, Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice, Lime Juice, Triple Sec) but it wasn't what I expected. I couldn't really taste the Passion Fruit Orange Guava Juice, mostly coconut and lime. It was still a refreshing and cheap cocktail, but it wasn't quite what I was looking for. My new favorite spot for burgers in the Phoenix metroplex, but I can't give it a full 5 stars as I was taken aback by the smash burger patty and didn't love my cocktail. Regardless, I still think highly of this spot and would definitely come back!

They didn't have a Spritz on the menu, so I went with this. I did enjoy the flavor, but could only have one of these as pretty sweet. - Heirloom Tomato Toast: This was the perfect start to the meal, and the vibrancy of the heirloom tomatoes was refreshing. I really enjoyed the miso aioli as it really complimented the tomatoes. - Side of Crispy Potatoes: Sometimes you just need some carbs, and these hit the spot for a starter before entrees though it is listed as a side. - Dry Rub Chicken Wings: These were decent for wings, but I think I would refrain from ordering again as the sauce choices just weren't great. - Mercato Sourdough Pizza: My coworker throughly enjoyed this pizza, and it intrigued me to return to order one as I couldn't have this one (pesto). - Orange Olive Oil Cake: This was perfection! The salted honey whip + berry coulis helped balance out the denseness and tartness of the orange olive oil cake. Genuinely a contender for my favorite dessert this summer, and I've had a few when spending 15+ days traveling for work. I'd definitely would return here, and one of my new favorite spots in Downtown Chandler!
