Found this place randomly while searching for a good Chinese Restaurant in the South Bay. The food was decent. The combination fried rice was not as oily as I'm used so I was confused to whether it is great or just a lighter iteration lol Mongolian beef was really good. Chow mein was ok too. Love Little China! The three flavor noodle is a must-order and is the perfect warm soup to satisfy any cravings. Filled with kimchi, cabbage, pork, beef, squid, and various veggies, the broth has a rich and tasty flavor and the chewy noodles are both bouncy and delightful when eaten together. Never knew this place existed until recently. Food is pretty good, but not the best Korean-Chinese I've ever had. The Jjamppong was bland, but the noodles themselves were really good with good texture. The jjajangmyun was decent but on the saltier side. The fried shrimp with garlic sauce had good flavor, but it wasn't very crispy. We also ordered the Korean fried chicken in garlic sauce with the bone by the recommendation of the server. It had decent flavor, but there was too much bone in the chicken and hardly any meat. It was also waaaay too saucy. Even the Hmart food court closed 15 minutes early :/ The food was ready when I got there. Huge serving, good price, great flavor. I got super full. We've been coming to this location for more than 10 years, food and service was great until the former owner sold it to another individual. From there it went downhill...the female staff (I believe she's the owner or manager or something) has been so rude ever since she came. After the pandemic started we went here twice, once when the lock down was eased and restaurants were allowed to have customers inside. At this time, the old staff members were still there and haven't changed which I was glad about. Prices were up but I shrugged it off, understanding the current situation. Now today, we had take out and it made it official to not go back here again for a long while. Why? 1.) The female staff charged me my three dishes at a la carte prices, WHEN I ORDERED THEM DURING LUNCH HOURS (11am - 3pm) --shouldn't it be obvious to charge your customer's orders at lunch prices during lunch time? If I want a la carte I would say so. I ended up paying nearly $70 for lunch. --called right after I came home and she had the nerve to tell me once I touched it I cannot return it. Well no duh?? I only wanted a partial refund but even that she did not oblige. The heated call was passed to one of the male servers (who's been there since the previous owner's management) and he finalized the debate by compensating us on our next visit. Which unfortunately won't happen... 2.) Ordered the Fried Chicken with special garlic sauce arranging it to the Korean-style (dry sauce with no bones), IT WAS LIKE I WAS EATING ROCKS??? If Yelp allowed for short video uploads I would've shown you all just how hard and dry the chicken was. --We usually order this every time we go to the restaurant but since it's take out only now I was shocked at how bad this dish became. It made me think this chicken was already prepared, re-fried the dish and served it. A huge disappointment. 3.) The moo-shu pork was soggy and the wraps were a disaster. Usually the wraps are firm and the fillings don't pop out easily but today's was bad. The fillings were pouring out from the thin, soggy wraps. We couldn't hold these properly at all. 4.) The woman who takes the calls ( short-hair, wearing glasses sometimes) needs to leave if she can't handle proper service. I was dumbfounded at how she was staring down at me while I was signing the receipt pressuring me to give them tip. Also she needs to stop having a disgruntled look. I do want to point out a few more things, but since I don't want the users to feel tired of reading this wall of words I'll end it for now. If you're craving Korean-Chinese food, this is the best place in the South Bay. I've been here several times now, both to dine-in as well as to do take-out. This place is great if you need to order a large amount of food for a party or to have a casual dinner for a large group of people at a very fair price. Service here has always been excellent for me. They are very fast, efficient, and for large orders, they even help me load my car which is nice of them. I ordered my husband the chop suey. Chop suey was hard to find. It was only offered in 2 places in our area. My husband very much wanted it to served with crispy noodles but it wasn't. I felt bad because other places rated lower had crispy noodles but this place didn't. I called to see if they had them but they could barely understand my request. This is my favorite spot to get jjajangmyun (Korean black bean noodle) in the South Bay area. I still like their jjamppong (spicy seafood noodle soup), but I'm definitely more of a jjajang person. I have to specify Korean black bean noodles... because it is different from the Chinese version. The sauce is made with a black bean paste, pork, and onions. Some of my friends prefer the gan-jjajang (stir-fried sauce) over the regular jjajang sauce. I personally prefer the regular sauce because I find the gan-jjajang a little greasier, which my stomach lets me know at some point. My typical order is one jjajangmyun, one tangsooyook (sweet and sour pork), and one gganpoong saewoo (garlic shrimp). While I normally love tangsooyook, my standard for tangsooyook is pretty high because my mom makes it really good at home. Here, I prefer the shrimp dish because it is super garlicky and a little tangy. It was rough for a while with COVID. I remember they were closed from mid-March through mid-April, and I had a mad craving for jjajngmyun. I ended up ordering from other spots in town, but whenever I drove by, I would check if they were open. I know they were doing outdoor dining for a while before LA county shut them down again, but we usually call in our order and take the food to-go anyways. The only thing I'd want from Little China is for them to provide delivery!!! In Korea, we'd usually order jjajangmyun and jjamppong and have it delivered. I'm not sure why there aren't more good Korean-Chinese restaurants in LA...I feel like this is a missed opportunity. We were on our way up from Long Beach and I had a jjajangmyun craving so we decided to stop by Little China since it was on the way back up to LA. The place is in a kinda old/run-down strip mall in Gardena, and besides the small 3 korean characters on the awning, you would think this is just a regular Chinese place. The place is pretty big with several tables in the back areas as well but the restaurant is definitely run-down, old and feels kinda dirty. The basic jjajangmyun was rather pricey at $8.95 for noodles and some onions and veggies...it was decent tasting but nothing to rave about. We also had the tangsuyook and although the sauce was decent, the way they fried the meat was too heavy and not the typical light batter that most other Korean-Chinese place. I hope I can find a better Korean-Chinese place next time in the South Bay... read more

First time at Little China and I ordered the noodle with bean sauce. The menu was vague in english and wasn't really sure what I was ordering. There's over a hundred menu items so the food may not be consistent. The noodles tasted okay. I was just eating pure carbs. I wish there were like things on top of the noodles like vegetables. Or small pickled vegetables on the side. It was sad just eating mouth full of carb every bite. Portion is really huge for the price. ~$10 and I finished half of it. The fried pork with sweet sauce is always light and clean colored...which means they change out the oil frequently. It's always full of customers, which is a good sign. This is what I thought was authentic Chinese food as a second generation Korean-American growing up in Los Angeles. My parents took me to this restaurant with their friends and their families and we would order our typical cast of menu items: Noodle with bean sauce (jja jang mien or Gan jja jang mien), spicy seafood noodle soup, fried dumplings, and sweet and sour pork. All the wait staff speak Korean and all the menu items are in English, Chinese, and Korean. It's Chinese food that's been co-opted to meet the Korean taste bud. After over 30 years of coming to this place, here is my proper review of the restaurant: 1. Gan Chiang Mein (Gan jja jang): This is apparently jja jang mien, but a bit pricer because there are more ingredients mixed into the black bean sauce. When asked, my mother says we should always get this version of jja jang mien, it's the high-end version! It was tasty, comforting, and the portion is more than generous! You can split it into two smaller bowls for fifty cents! 2. Hot Noodle (Jjang bbong): This is essentially seafood stew with noodles. It's spicy, warm, comforting, and full of various types of seafood. You can also split this huge bowl of soup into two for fifty cents. 3. Pan fried dumplings: Nothing unique to say about this, but they are a staple appetizer to share with the group before you eat. I swear though that these dumplings seem much larger as a kid. I know I got bigger, but, I swear these are smaller now. 4. Chinese style sweet and sour pork: This is deeply battered pork with a sweet and sour sauce. You typically pour it over the pork, but it's nice that it comes out separately in case you have leftovers and want to avoid soggy batter. 5. Eggplant with hot garlic sauce: This one is new, I never ordered this before, but my mother wanted a vegetable. This was highly battered and entirely unhealthy, but still counted as a vegetable. Everyone in my family agreed that this was their new favorite dish. The hot garlic sauce was a nice offset from the sweet and pour pork dish sitting right next to it. For me, this is comfort food at its best, but for others it may seem like just another korean-chinese restaurant in a strip mall. Come check it out if you are in the south bay and are craving some korean style chinese food! read more

Me and my mom's friend took us to this place in Gardena. It's a hole in the wall kind of chinese restaurant. We ordered fried dumplings and eight seafood treasure. The order came out pretty quickly and while I was waiting for our order, I kept on eating the cabbage kimchi. The cabbage kimchi was pretty good. The fried dumpling was pretty big. We each had 2 dumplings and I was satiated by the time I finished those big dumplings. The seafood treasure was good too. It comes in big portions, so we three couldn't finish it. We ordered extra gyoza sauce, but the sauce was enough inside the dish and every time I ate it, my eyes got watery and the nose got all hot. This place gets the seal of approval from one of the pickiest people I know, my dad. Known among Koreans for their Korean-Chinese food like jjamppong and jjajangmyun, it's affordable, satisfying, and very flavorful. When this place makes it right, I do think it's the best I've had in the LA area. The only problem is, they're inconsistent, and sometimes I've had it bland or too salty. Not sure if they have different chefs on weekdays and weekends, but in general, weekdays are really good. Do not expect any décor, it looks really run down, there are boxes in random places, and the place looks like it can use a huge makeover. But it's always crowded, and the servers can't keep up with the demand of customers, it's that busy. One of those places that has been around for YEARS, has a loyal following, and is pretty much immune to reviews. I'm sure it will be around for many more years. read more

Little China's soup and noodles quality and taste still are consistence and very favorable. One bowl of the noodle soup is huge and actually can feed 2 people for $8! Great customer service! Not the cleanest place but nothing out of ordinary for your average Chinese-Korean restaurant. I think the food quality has gone down a bit.
