Came for their daily happy hour last night. Food was amazing. Must have the passion chicken empanadas. The mushroom soup is delicious. Food and sauces are made in house and you can tell because everything tastes fresh. Lychee sangria was great as well. Can't wait to come back for their brunch. My friends and I decided to try this place since it was new for all of us. We were warmly greeted when we walked in. The place is bright and cheerful. After we were seated we were given menus and decided on the $20 lunch special. It sounds like a lot, but I don't mind spending if the food is good. You can choose from 6 flavors of empanadas for the lunch special. You get 2, but they have to be the same flavor. They got Cubanos and I got the Philly. It comes with a side and refillable soda. The sides we ordered were French fries, cilantro lime rice, and garlic broccoli. All were very good, except no one wanted to try my broccoli because they dislike broccoli. No problem, I didn't have to share and I enjoyed it. Our server brought our orders to us in a fun display with a torch candle. We were checked on by our server and the manager and had a pleasant experience. The empanadas were stuffed full of the fillings and the crust was a nice texture. These were the BEST empanadas I've ever eaten! The flavors were SO good! We tried the Classic, Beef (Philly) and the Cheese. The dipping sauces were what took these over the top, chef's kiss!! This place is crazy good. It's hidden between two larger chain restaurants that we usually frequent but tonight we decided to try something different, and it was totally worth it. I recommend the passion chicken empanada or the "magic mojo" if you like something sweet and savory. If you're into spicy, try the shrimp al ajillo. Can't wait to come back and try more. Our first time trying this restaurant that opened late last year. I wish we had tried it sooner! Really enjoyed the food and the staff. We tried the Passion Chicken and the Mojo empanadas as well as the rolled tropical salad. All the flavors were good and we enjoyed all the items. The empanadas come paired with a dipping sauce that I believe enhances the wonderful flavor of the empanadas. On our next visit we will try some other varieties but our favorite so far is the Passion Chicken. The family that runs Loaded Empanadas also runs Via Brazil Steakhouse about a quarter mile down Rampart/Ft Apache. So you know the family knows empanadas. read more

Had lunch and took an empanada making class with co-workers. The restaurant was clean and greatly designed providing a nice ambiance. The staff were all very friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The food was absolutely amazing and tried almost every menu item. Would highly recommend the feshauda soup, bacon wrapped dates stuffed with goat cheese. The Classic & Beff empanadas were my 2 favorite and for dessert the flan & churros were incredible!!! I came here to eat a couple months ago and I really wanted to like Loaded Empanadas, but the entire experience was uncomfortable from start to finish. The place itself is way too small and cluttered, making it feel chaotic rather than cozy. The sparklers and bubbles were completely over-the-top and ended up landing all over my food--not exactly appetizing. The service was no better. Our server lacked professionalism, and the manager could be heard openly gossiping and making inappropriate comments about other customers. It felt more like being in the middle of a high school drama than at a restaurant. To top it off, the owner was extremely blunt in how she spoke, and I could clearly hear her bossing her staff around in a really demeaning way. It gave the whole place a dark and uncomfortable vibe that made me want to leave as soon as possible. The food was mediocre at best and the empanadas were all very doughy and chewy. Food was a 3/5 but my experience was a 1/5. read more

Had high hopes for this restaurant. We went here on a week night and the food was awful. There was nothing healthy on the menu and the empanadas tasted mostly of the outside crust than the filling. There was nothing to the filling no matter what we ordered and the worst part was they were expensive. The atmosphere wasn't high end to command the price and the place smelled like sulfur because they put sparkles on everything to try and command the price I suppose. They need to get rid of the sparkles and come down on the prices. It's more of a fast food empanada restaurant. We won't be back unfortunately. read more

Full of flavor with sweet and savory for the win! I also had desert for the first time tonight. Crème Brûlée Empanda with berry compote and chorros with chocolate and caramel sauce! The dessert was "mwah" chef's kiss! The staff are so amazing! I love this place! The ambiance is amazing and it feels great to be inside. Service was quick, we were told about the specials they had available and we had our order taken once we decided on the special of the day which was an order of choice of two empanadas, a side and a drink for $20.00. Everything was wonderful, tasty and very filling. Once we walked thru the door it was a lot bigger than it gave the impression of being from what you see on the outside. It's one of those experiences that I didn't want to share because obviously once the word of mouth goes around the wait time to get seated is horrendous. You get the point... Then I thought,"food was delicious and service as great as Loaded Empanadas must be shared!" Our waiter and staff were very welcoming. The ambiance felt warm and lively. The menu and suggestions on what to order made it easy for my company and I to know what we wanted quickly. We ordered empanadas 2-ways, one was mushrooms (I will order again) and the other Philly cheese. Also ordered garlic steak (cooked as requested ), bacon wrapped dates, fries, tapioca cheese (Yum), and churros (double fresh and Yum). They presented our food with a sparkler and bubbles!! The Empandas were packed with flavor. My favorite was the Tropical Sea with the dipping sauce. (Pro tip: Mix some of their fresh cimmichurri with the dipping sauce for an explosion of flavor) My favorite appetizer was the garlic steak and with Ana's recommendation of eating it fresh while it hot is what absolute sold me.
