I always pass by and decided to try lobster guys! I ended up going with the shrimp pasta! Excellent and the shrimp and huge and well-seasoned. the pasta and sauce were nice and creamy. A bit pricy at $22 bucks. Service was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have a lot of tables inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a cool little spot to eat![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They have everything from shrimp, lobster rolls, fish, clam chowder to crab cakes, lobster mac, chicken wings and many more goodies here! I believe anything that comes out of this place is amazing. Food rating: Shrimp pasta 9.0\10

Ooooh a lobster guys?! I typically wouldn't gravitate towards a place like this but being with my bestie she said she wanted to try it. They have an extensive menu, lots of great choices here. You feel like ordering 4 items at a time honestly. They have a touch screen to order from or the cashier. There's plenty of places with the menu including photos to give you the best idea of what you would like to order. I don't know about you, but I need photos to be able to order sometimes, so I love the huge photos inside! I ended up offering buffalo wings (ironic, it's a seafood place) & shrimp tacos. Buffalo wings were okay, definitely not life changing. But again it's a seafood place... so stick to their seafood lol. The shrimp tacos came in a trio, I chose corn tortillas. Yum yum in my tum tum! They give a wedge of lemon & a side cup of salsa. It's amazing. I think the side salsa has a perfect kick and flavor to it, it was a great first date between the shrimp and the salsa. The shrimps were packed with flavor, nice bite, not overcooked because shrimps can be sooooo delicate and overcook fast but this place made it perfectly. The tortillas were soft and did not break easy-- my pet peeve is corn tortillas falling apart, but these were perfect! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Overall the ambiance and service is super nice. It's clean inside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I want to say it was the owners that were there but they're super friendly! They gave me a sample of their parfait which was good as well but I wasn't feeling parfait to order it at the moment. Plenty of plaza parking, single use restroom in the back. Good amount of seating.

It's just OK On the fence regarding freshness ?!?! The pictures are far more glamorous than what you get. Kind sweet girl working that's a plus. Bad location to me that area who's paying the price for lobster rolls ??? Was expecting better quality would I drive 25 30 min not again would I drove 10 min to try again NO. One and done was enough for me. Wanted to love the lobster guys. But something I just can't put my finger on I think basically freshness of the lobster roll itself ,,, better out there.

This is a casual place to get lobster rolls. They have an extensive menu and you order off the counter. The staff is nice and they got our order out fairly quickly. We got maine style lobster rolls and a side of tots. Maine Style Lobster Roll- Served on a buttery warm bun. The lobster pieces are fresh and juicy and the aioli it's tossed in has a nice mild flavor. Very tasty! Tots- Crisp on the outside and a nice contrast of soft inside. It's the perfect complement to the lobster roll. Makes for a filling meal. Great experience overall!

I stumbled upon this spot while on the hunt for a solid clam chowder and was surprised I hadn't come across this chain before. To hedge my expectations, I also ordered Chowder Barge to go from the place I tried the other day which i'm in awe of and highly recommend, well, at least since I was in the area. This place is located in a shopping center, parking was effortless, which is always a plus. The service immediately stood out. The cashier was warm, knowledgeable, and genuinely engaging, setting a positive tone before ordering. I asked for recommendations and went with the warm lobster roll, sweet potato fries, clam chowder, and shrimp pasta, all ordered to-go. The turnaround time was reasonable, and the steady flow of customers suggested a dependable local favorite. The concept leans toward fast-casual seafood, but the quality edges just beyond what you'd expect from that category. The sweet potato fries were a standout crispy, well-seasoned, and satisfying. The clam chowder delivered on comfort and flavor. The warm lobster roll was respectable, though not particularly memorable. The shrimp pasta, however, fell short; it lacked depth and needed more sauce to bring the dish together. I have to say I really enjoyed the calamari fries, exceptional. I didn't take many pictures because it was to go, i did take two of the two main. Overall, it's a reliable option for a quick seafood fix without sacrificing too much quality. I'd return, if i'm in the mood for some quick seafood to go.

When the lobster craving hits, head over to Lobster Guys in Long Beach. Look at that butter drip... Let's start with the classic Connecticut-style lobster roll -- warm, buttery lobster piled high on a toasted split-top bun. every bite is rich, sweet, and perfectly simple, letting the lobster shine. Then there's the Cali Truffle Roll -- loaded with lobster, creamy avocado, and a drizzle of fragrant truffle oil that takes it to another level. And don't skip the crab cake burger -- golden, crispy on the outside, tender and packed with crab on the inside. Perfectly grilled salmon served with a side of golden crispy fries. If you're craving comfort, the shrimp pasta is buttery, garlicky, and seriously satisfying. And of course... you have to finish with a bowl of their clam chowder. If you love lobster, consider this your sign to make the trip. Wonderful customer service from Martin and Victor!! Plenty of parking.

We door dashed from here today and it was soooooo good! I have tried lobster rolls at many places and loved seeing the variety on the menu so I tried the Cali truffle roll to mix it up and it was amazing. If I lived in the area I would come here all the time. Next time I am I will try a few other things from the menu as well. The extra lobster is worth the $. Great hidden gem tucked away in Long Beach. Found this great place off of yelp and it will be a definite for us every time we come this way. 10/10 for everything! Service was exceptional! Food was AMAZING! Restaurant was very clean. Now for the food!!! My mouth is watering thinking about it. The flaming hot lobster fries melts in your mouth. The seasoned fries are not salty, the cheese is like nacho cheese, the lobster chunks are huge and then there's a small kick from the jalapeño. We ordered 2! That's how good it was! The Cali style truffle roll has chilled lobster with celery toppings. Husband said Clobster roll (crab & lobster mix) was better than his Maine lobster roll. All rolls came with a side of salad. We left very satisfied and lobster craving fulfilled!!!

This is so cool! I remember seeing them as a food truck! Now there's an actual spot to come to! Instead of chasing them down the freeway! lol! Jk! (I did see them driving down the freeway and wanted to get some!) Anyway, my sister ordered us lobster rolls! I've been getting some promo messages on social media because I follow them. So I had to come and check it out. The lobster rolls were so yummy! I'm used to just butter and lobster but this was filling. And the truffle one? Wow! Lobster Guys restaurant is new to the area so I decided to stop by and check them out. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff was friendly. The food is a bit pricey but as expected for seafood. I ordered the lobster roll with sweet potato fries and the fish tacos. The lobster roll was super tasty and cooked well. The sweet potato fries were crispy with just enough seasoning. The fish tacos were my least favorite as they were dry and bland. The restaurant was a but crowded when I arrived so there was a short wait. The staff provided me a small sample parfait during the wait which was extremely kind of them. I would recommend it for anyone that loves lobster, hopefully they can add more seasoning to the tacos in the future. I do plan on coming back to try the lobster bisque. read more

My gf and I dined about 2 weeks ago and we had an absolutely amazing experience. DQ is a keeper! Her energy and hospitality was through the roof. It was my first time at this location and I felt like a regular. DQ took great care of us and I don't think we could have possibly enjoyed our 2 lobster rolls and fries any more than we did. This is a hidden gem. Every single thing I ate here was so delicious! I ordered a good amount of food but the stand out menu items to me were the jumbo shrimp and the Connecticut style lobster roll. The jumbo shrimp was perfectly tender and seasoned beautifully with a really flavorful char. And the lobster pieces in the roll were succulent and tasty with big chunks of lobster!! I also got flamin hot lobster fries, fish and chips, and Mac and cheese. All of which were soooo good. Their cheese sauce is sooo yummy. As for the service, it is swift and kind. I was offered recommendations on the food with a smile, which goes a long way for me. The ambiance is relaxed and casual, with plenty of seating. Overall. The roll was packed with fresh, flavorful crab that tasted incredibly light and perfectly seasoned--not overly heavy or drenched in sauce like some places do. This is a spot you'll end up coming to weekly because there are so many great things on the menu. I got the Connecticut style lobster roll, the clam chowder, the crabcake appetizer, the sweet potato fries, and the lemon pepper wings. The lobster roll was amazing and came on this bread that so perfect for the contents of this sandwich. The roll is very thick and contains a lot of lobster. The clam chowder was delicious and creamy. The crabcake literally melts in your mouth. The lemon pepper wings have a crispiness to them that I'd come back for by themselves. The sweet potato fries were perfectly crunchy. I also got the signature strawberry lemonade, and this yogurt drink that was simply delicious. Even if you have a seafood allergy, there are lots of things on the menu that you can have that are delicious. They even have Barbacoa tacos and quesadillas. The service was amazing and the owners were incredibly kind and sweet. Met someone who comes here weekly and am making this a new spot in our rotation as well. If you're thinking about trying it, you absolutely should. And bring friends because there's plenty of space inside and there's a great environment with music playing in the background as well as some tvs posted in the corners. read more

I initially heard of Lobster Guys because there's a location in Redondo Beach and their lobster rolls are good. I went to the Long Beach location knowing what to expect. This location offers a little more compared to the Redondo Beach location and the staff spend more time going over the menu with you and making sure you taken care of. I went here on Easter Sunday and expectations were exceeded. I always get the usual Connecticut roll and fries. Their cheesecake from the Valentine's Day Special Menu deal was superb. My mom really liked the calamari. I almost got a crab roll but I will just have to come back and try that next time. read more

Boy! They don't miss! Not one thing on the menu is a bust. This is a ca n't-go-wrong place! The lobster sandwiches are soft succulent and melt in your mouth. The wings are exceptional. The restaurant is in a large strip mall. The lady who worked at the counter was very nice. I appreciated her suggestions. There are only a few tables, but the decor is cute. The Clobster was good. The Lobster grilled cheese and tomato soup were also tasty. The French fries were excellent. I wish the lobster was as well seasoned as the French fries. But it was still good. To be honest, I'd skip this place. It's very mid. Came here around early dinner time and opted to order the Connecticut style roll combo but with the butter on the side. Very simple order, right? The girl who took my order was confused out of her mind. Bad day, maybe? Or she was new?? That encounter kind of already turned me off in the beginning ngl, why do I have to over-explain just having to say to put the butter on the side. Very annoying, it also just seemed like she didn't want to be there. I'd hire better people if you're having customers pay around 25-30 bucks for a quick meal tbh. As for the food, the amount of lobster was meh, which I def already expected. It was decent-ish tho. I don't think there needed to be a salad with the combo tbh, it was a bit off putting with the balsamic. Best part about the meal was the fries and tots, loved how you can mix it. I also liked the garlic truffle sauce, it was delish. Overall, worth a try I guess but I won't be back. read more

I was really craving Calamari and saw a great deal for Calamari Fries at Lobster Guys, so I decided to test them out and boy did they deliver. You get 5 decently sized fries that are very fresh. I enjoyed everything about them. They were super crispy on the outside but the calamari on the inside was still so soft with a great texture that wasn't chewy. Great place with even better food and service. Swung by on a Tuesday evening after attending a conference nearby. People were coming in and out to dine in and for pickup - so you know it's a popular location. What I appreciated was that the owner came out to each person and offered a taster of their clam chowder - which was pretty solid. Inside/outside - 4/5 Located in a generally busy plaza Lobster Guys is not hard to find with it's bright sign and people heading in and out of the business. The interior was nice and open with plenty of seating. Seats were generally comfortable enough. Service - 5/5 As I mentioned above, the owner came out to each new person and offered a taster of the clam chowder. He and the cashier were very attentive and offered any recommendations that they had. Food came hot and quick to each person. No issues whatsoever Food - 5/5 This evening I got the Connecticut Roll Combo which came with lots of fries and a soda. The bread is nice and toasted. The lobster was rich and flavorful. And there were plenty of fries! For a "fast" lobster roll in the middle of LB, you really can't complain. Pricier than other shops around but hey that's what you get for some good ol lobster rolls. I was craving lobster roll and I was happy to see this place was located in my area about 4 minutes away from me . The man that took my order I believe he was the owner was really nice and sweet . I ordered the Connecticut lobster roll combo , (lobster is hot ) it came with seasoned fries , a side salad and a drink for $20 . I would say the flavor was all there and I enjoyed it but it wasn't filling . I left the restaurant still hungry . The food was delicious BUT they didn't give me what I ordered. I had ordered a Shimp Roll, but they gave me a Lobster Roll. The Lobster Roll was tasty but I was really expecting the Shrimp Roll. The French fries were delicious, I loved how they let me mix fries and tots, I struggle with choosing which ones so being able to get both was great! I usually go to a different place for my lobster rolls but its VERY far away so i was happy to discover a closer place. I love the variety and selection here! Different lobster or crab rolls, grilled cheese, chicken wings, calamari, fish & chips..whatever you are craving! I got the clobster roll connecticut style and the lobster bisque. The lobster bisque was exceptional! It didnt have that gross undertaste that bisque sometimes has...oceany and bitter and just bad. This was creamy and rich and full of seafood flavor. A decent amount of lobster throughout. I was a tiny but disappointed in my roll. The bun wasnt cut all the way so immediately the toppings fell out. They use lump crab instead of snow crab. And i did feel like it was a bit small especially for the price. But excellent flavor! My husband got the chicken tacos which he said were tasty but also on the smaller side. He had 2 dips on the side that were full of delicious flavor! The white one was maybe lemon dill? It was subtle but creamy and light. Service was friendly and fast! Its not a huge place but plenty of seating. Bathrooms were clean clean! Parking for everyone. I wil absolutely return cuz the lobster grilled cheese is calling my name. read more

WOW! Lobster Guys has been saved in my bookmarks for months and I finally went and it exceeded my expectations! Upon entering, Julio at the front was so kind, assistive and accommodating- he was the best! We got the Connecticut Lobster roll, Crab Roll, Mac and Cheese, Lobster Bisque, Fries & some sauces. Well I ate it before taking a photo. Sorry. But at first look, thought it was slightly overpriced, but I was wrong. The bread was soft and buttery the I had the crab/lobster combo and that boi was delicious, it was not overcooked melted with the butter. Not only was it satisfying the tater tots completed the meal to perfection. Service was great, very nice man offer samples of the dessert as well. I ordered to-go a lobster roll Connecticut style and a clam chowder soup. The lobster roll tasted great and had good chunks of lobster in it. However, the arugula salad had a bug in it which unappetized me quite a bit. I hope that in the future this location can double check their salad to ensure there are no bugs. We called the location to inform them about this situation, and the employee was very kind and apologetic about it and voided our transaction. I'm still going to give them four stars because of the yummy lobster roll and good customer service, but hopefully this is just a one-time bug ordeal. read more

Came out to try a new spot in Long Beach recommended by a neighbor. I was pleasantly surprised. My experience started as soon as my foot stepped over the threshold upon entering. I was greeted immediately with great energy and enthusiasm. Being my first time, I received delicious recommendations from the cashier. I ordered the Lobster Roll combo with regular fries and the Clobster Roll combo with sweet potato waffle fries, both Connecticut style. I was also able to taste-test clam chowder, which was delicious. The bread was toasted to perfection and the protein seasoned very well. i visited Lobster Guys because of a TikTok review. i was excited to try it and i was not disappointed. First let me say, i would be lying if i said, i was not overwhelmed with the ginormous menu and so many lobster choices. Michael greeted me and kindly assisted me answering all my many questions. i settled on the Clobster roll and sweet potato fries. I told him i was going to another eatery a food doors down to order dinner for someone else. My food aesthetically bagged and waiting by the time i returned. The presentation was very nice. i felt like it was a nice mix of buttery lobster and crab. Was not impressed. That's what happens when you walk into the door. The lobster grilled cheese has fake lobster it's taste like imitation crab and we open it sure enough it's imitation crab, the lobster bisque is also has imitation crab and it has lump of cornstarch. NOT recommended at all cheap food!!!! Lobster West is real food . Don't eat here. Being from Wrigley, I can't say it was on my bingo card that we would get a lobster roll joint in the neighborhood and especially in this plaza. Needless to say I'm glad we have one though! Picked up to-go dinner for a family of 5 and it held together pretty well--everything still tasted fresh. We definitely got more than enough food but we were paranoid because lobster rolls tend to be small. Starting off with the sides, the lobster mac and cheese was pretty good. A decent amount of lobster on top and the noodles were just the right texture. Note that this is not a creamy type of mac and cheese but rather one that's quite gooey and sticks together. Not what I'm used to for lobster mac and cheese but definitely worth getting to share! We also got a order of mixed tater tots and fries which came out crispy and fresh--they were cooked just enough (not underdone or overcooked). It was pretty well seasoned too. We also shared a bowl-size clam chowder which came with plenty of oyster crackers to top it with. It was on the thicker rather than the watery side which made it a bit less soup like, but still with plenty of flavor and clam chunks in it. The only thing I felt was a little lackluster that we got was the caesar salad--still good, but not quite as robust as the other sides. I think part of the problem was we got it to-go so the greens wilted a little with the heat from the rest of the items since everything was so fresh. We were curious about the wings in the old bay flavor and we were glad we tried them! They have a flavorful, savory breading around them that is almost reminiscent of fried chicken you'd get from American Chinese take out. Would get them again next time! Lastly, the star of the show - the lobster rolls. We all got various kinds: both Maine and Connecticut style crab+lobster (Clobster), and both a Maine and Connecticut style lobster roll. Everyone agreed theirs was pretty good and I would agree having eaten a decent amount of lobster rolls in the past. They definitely don't skimp on the lobster and it comes with a cute little arugula salad to eat which you can squeeze some of the lemon over. I've never had greens with a lobster roll but it cuts through all the heaviness pretty well with the lemon. Lastly, one of us got a lobster grilled cheese which still held up pretty well to-go. A good amount of cheese and lobster--one did not overpower the other. It came with tomato soup which was bright and sweet. Definitely worth trying. The service was super friendly! Parking is never a problem in this plaza. You can order online if you want to save yourself some time. Protip - you can write in the order notes when you want to pickup since there's no order ahead function. Glad we have this place in the neighborhood now--definitely stop by if you having a craving for some seafood! read more

Had the Maine lobster sandwich. It came with a generous salad and a choice of a side (French fries, sweet potatoes fries) freshly made and seasoned right. Service was excellent, food came freshly made and hot/cold. Ambiance, it was quiet but there were people around. There were group of three taking pictures of their food and critiquing it. I thought it would be a run-of-the-mill local, Thai place with food that is more homestyle and tastes slightly above average to hit the Thai food fix. Boy, was I wrong! First and foremost, they have their own parking lot, so YAY! It's starting to sound like my standards are low, but they aren't. OMG- their restroom is clean! JK. From the outside, it looked nice enough, but I was impressed when we entered. It had a comfy, modern, clean, and beachy elegance to it (the lights and that chandelier) without it being stuffy or looking disjointed in terms of interior decor. Servers were very polite and accommodating. I let my friend order since she was the guest. She ordered the garlic shrimp noodles and scampi shrimp to share, and the Thai tea drink with the ice cream bar. I ordered 3 cocktails (Jalapeno + tamarind, Lychee, and Thai tea martini) and they were all good (not overly sweet and weak sauce, but balanced, tasty, and had the right amount of buzz). We had a light lunch since we had AYCE hot pot later that evening (Mikiya - yes I'm a good host). The garlic noodles exceeded my expectations - shrimp were huge, seasoned well, and just cooked through, the noodles were broad, float, tender, and had a slight chewiness to it. The scampi shrimp were huge, tasty, succulent, and cooked perfectly (not surprised since the shrimp with the garlic noodles were so good). NOTHING WAS OVERCOOKED OR MADE ME GO.... "MEH...." and I've been to many Thai restaurants even the highly stylized kitschy ones like Farmhouse Thai in SF. The waiters were very attentive. They made their rounds to make sure waters were filled and all guests were taken care of. It helps they were also handsome too! LOL. I generally find many places nice in the competitive LA, but not nice enough for me to travel from the SGV. However, I will go out of my way to visit KL again to try the rest of their menu (drunken noodles, pork jerky, crab fried rice, papaya salad, etc.) because they left a good impression with me. Prices are reasonable and the quality of food, cocktails, clean restrooms, ambiance was coastal modern, has its own designated parking lot, and service was lovely.

When she politely brought it to Marisol's attention, instead of acknowledging that there may have been a mistake, Marisol insisted the order had never been placed that way. She then asked my daughter if she wanted to order the missing item while she was already there to pick up her food, which would require waiting another 15 minutes. Since the delay was the result of an incorrect order, my daughter asked if she could at least receive fresh fries while waiting. Marisol told her she would have to pay extra for fresh fries. Marisol also claimed that she had repeated the order back over the phone when it was originally placed. That simply isn't true. She rushed my daughter off the phone, saying she'd see her in 15 minutes, without reviewing the order. We've continued to support A&J's because the food is consistently excellent, but experiences like this make it harder to keep coming back. Great food can only go so far when customers are made to feel dismissed instead of valued. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and provides additional customer service training so loyal customers receive the experience they deserve.

No one really came around to offer more wine or dessert so not sure if they have dessert. Could have gone for another glass of wine but then not getting one saved me $15-18 and I could still ride my bike home. Their bread is supposed to be amazing so have to try that next time. Then cashier DQ was friendly and helpful. Offering suggestions on entrees that we hadn't tried before. This time we got the 2 person special and crab cakes. All the food was delicious. The dinning room was as clean as it could be and even the restrooms were spotless.
