So thankful to have a close, locally owned coffee shop that I've loved since it opened years ago. The expansion of outside seating is awesome. I recently got their carafe of coffee,for a party, and it was a hit!! We had more than enough plus they included 2 quarts of 1/2 @ 1/2, sugars, stirring sticks and coffee cups with lids. This business is the location of the old coffee shop (it's a grind) my friends and I would go to in high school all those years ago..I was recently in the area and stopped by to find out it was a new business under new ownership, but all my favorite items were still there, including the decadent OG Funky Monkey! Be nostalgic, I ordered a small Funky Monkey, as well as a couple amazing looking pastries and a pound of beans to go. When I asked about this location and the changes, the cashier explained how the business had changed, but kept the staff. She beamed as she mentioned how included the staff were as part of the change. Although the coffee options were the same, I the food selection have only expanded. It was great hearing that an employee felt valued. As a customer, I could tell they were happy by the product I received and the smile they put on my face. Everything I purchased was amazing! The coffee drink was better than I remembered, the pastries were gobbled up by my family when I got home, and the coffee lasted me a good couple of weeks. I only wish I still lived in the area so I could support them more, but I guess I will just have to stop by the next time I am in the area and try something new. read more

This place is so good. The only problem is they have made my order wrong every single time. Last visit on Saturday morning I begged the girl taking my order to double check to make sure the tomatoes and pickled onions were on my sandwich. She assured me they would and again they forgot. 5 stars for the bagels! Seriously these bagels are top notch. Perfectly toasted yet chewy and soft inside. I thought I was weird for liking my bagels toasted with cream cheese and sliced cheese, but their house special is that with an egg. Delicious! Listen, I love supporting local businesses. The employees are nice, and the food is fine. But they get our order wrong every.single.time. They either forget to put the order in, give us the wrong type of bagel, etc., etc. And while they laugh about how "funny" it is that they seem to mess up every time, there is no attempt to rectify the situation. We really tried with this place. But when they messed up for the fourth time in the fourth visit, I had to throw in the towel. read more

Mediocre coffee with a logo that could be cuter. Also, the girl that took our order was a doodoo head. Felt like we were transported into a teen movie and were being bullied by Regina George--but let me just fangirl and say it was cool to experience something from one of my favorite cult classics. They talked about one of our drinks to their coworkers right in front of us, saying stuff like "That ones not really good, it kinda tastes weird." She also got annoyed when we didn't know our order was ready, yet they never announced it Imaoo. On my back from the vintage market my daughter and I stopped here to eat. We both ordered "the make your own sandwich". Mine was on a garlic bagel, with roasted tomatoes, turkey, avocado, and cheddar cheese. The sandwich was full of flavor and the ingredients were fresh. I asked for a pumpkin spice drink that's similar to the ones they make at Starbucks and she created one that was even better...a chai with some sort of pumpkin spice foam on top. Awesome. I have a lot of things to say about this place and it's all very good starting off with the main thing the coffee I am a latte type of guy and I love there iced mocha latte and iced horchata I'm a bit fan of Tierra Mia but local grind seems to beat it with their horchata latte .the sandwiches here are amazing with coffe and although the sandwiches are pricy there good .They have a good seating outside very relaxing it's good to take freinds there after a long day of school. I give this place a 5 because the coffee is cheaper than most places and better than most places the sizes are true to size and they don't rob u if u want small it's small medium it's medium large it's very large not like Starbucks where it's mostly ice and not coffee and the sizes are messed up read more

I've gone to this coffee shop for over 25 years...when it was Its a grind. I love that local grind uses loose leaf teas and organic coffee since so much coffee has mold and pesticides. Today I have to give some love to Jen & Nicole ...I had an issue where my drink tasted off, it was bitter and oddly sweet at the same time. I really think the espresso machine just had a weird pour which happen when you make thousands of lattes, it wasn't anyone's fault. They were SO kind and sweet. I was very hesitant to drive back and ask them to remake my hot latte. I work down the street and go here weekly so I knew it wasn't the flavor of my usual espresso creamy vanilla perfection. I've been a barista and I know how annoying it is when people say" this taste weird". When these ladies helped me it made my day. Also when she re made it ...OMG it was perfect . Love the local grind. I try to come 1x a week for my coffee fix. The kids love coming with me for a coffee free treat. Everything bagels with cream cheese, or the cinnamon sugar bagel. They have my favorites like an ice blended white chocolate mocha, but the mint chip blended with the floater on top is great! Friendly, local, and yummy- you've got a repeat customer. The coffee is alright, but I got a lox bagel here and I found some hairs in it. Not hairs from the head or anything, these looked like some nose or pube hairs so maybe check your sandwich or bagel before you take a bite. They said they'd remake it but I wasn't interested in eating anything prepared from this place after that. For the longest time I was going to Coffee Bean in the early morning until I found out this place was right across the street in a strip mall. I always would much rather support local mom and pop shops than big chain coffee shops. I usually get an iced white ginger pear tea, or some other green tea-- as I don't drink coffee, but their pastry section is AMAZING (the cakes and breads are gigantic) and they make sandwiches as well. The vibe inside is always really friendly and all of the staff are warm and extremely enthusiastic about helping you out. The place keeps moving and even when the lines get long they are very efficient and you're never waiting too long. If you want a change from your usual Starbucks/Coffee Bean/ Big Coffee Chain , take a trip over to Local Grind and support local small businesses. Their selection is way better than the big chains and they will take better care of you! Enter your number in when placing the order and eventually you'll get a free beverage as well! read more
