The menu is very impressive. A tremendous amount of choices. It certainly explains the crowds here. But, the chef and the staff here are doing everything correct. Portion sizes are generous. Especially sides like fries and tater tots (Highly recommend), the wings were beautiful. Meat and juicy. The nachos were incredible. I'd recommend to get both the steak and chicken together. It's insane! I got the fish and chips, and to be honest... disappointed. Now, to be fair, when a server trips me they are really big pieces of fish, I'm from the parts of the world where that means it's the size of a rugby football! So, you're never doing that... lol. But, they were healthy sized. It comes with a tartar sauce that definitely needs a bit more lemon and salt. The chips were seasoned fried. Once again, with everything else you do right, this was a lazy choice. I would have been impressed with fresh plank cut potatoes fried fresh with sea salt. But, that's why I won a bunch of awards... No... I'm being mean. Highly critical. Even as it was, the fish and chips were ok. I would recommend a revisions by the chef on this dish, compared to everything else we ordered, that was the stand out disappointment. But, the drinks were incredible. Everyone else enjoyed their drinks as well including a cucumber and jalapeño cocktail. And the server. I didn't catch her name and I wish I had. She was perfect. My partner and I came in for dinner and were initially excited for the evening. It took about 15 minutes for someone to offer us water, which we overlooked because it seemed busy. At one point, I stepped outside briefly to take a phone call since the bar area was very loud. My partner came out shortly after to hand me my purse and also took a quick call. We were gone for no more than two minutes and left our jackets and personal belongings at the table. When my partner returned inside, the server immediately told him he needed to pay the bill and said he "can't dine and dash." We were shocked. We had every intention of returning to finish our evening and spend more. Being publicly accused of attempting to leave without paying -- in front of other guests -- was humiliating and completely unnecessary. We pulled out a $100 bill toward the $26 tab and waited for our change. The bartender later offered to comp our drinks, which we appreciate, but that did not undo how embarrassed we felt. When I spoke with the manager, I was honestly taken aback by his response. Rather than acknowledging how inappropriate and uncomfortable the accusation was, he immediately shifted into a defensive posture. His tone felt excusatory and passive aggressive, as if the situation was somehow our fault. Instead of addressing the core issue -- that my partner was confronted and made to feel as though we were attempting to leave without paying -- he questioned whether we had informed the bartender that I was stepping outside. That response was not only dismissive, it was belittling. Guests should not be expected to formally notify staff every time they briefly step away from their table, especially when their personal belongings, drinks, and an active tab are clearly still there. It's a normal part of dining out. For example, I've never once had to inform a server that I was stepping away to use the restroom -- and I would imagine most people haven't. The implication that we failed in some kind of etiquette or procedure felt like an attempt to deflect responsibility rather than own the mistake. What would have gone a long way was a simple acknowledgment: "I'm sorry, that shouldn't have happened." Instead, the interaction left us feeling blamed, talked down to, and further disrespected. I understand restaurants have to protect themselves from dine-and-dash situations, but there's a way to handle it with discretion and professionalism. Unfortunately, that wasn't our experience. We left feeling disrespected rather than valued as customers, and will never return. read more

I forgot to ask for tomatoes in the scramble but their salsa & pico de gallo are always good & the portion servings are generous!=ox We ended up at the end of the bar next to the window and we had that place pretty much to ourselves with the bar area full and 3 others joined our dining area, underneath the TV where we were watching, near the end of the game... We had great service & dining experience with Zack; very nice & friendly gentleman, attentive, and seem to always know when our cups needed more coffee... The portions were big and shareable. We ordered tater tots nachos with steak, chicken Parmesan with rigatoni pasta, sausage and ricotta pasta, and Tuscan sea bass. There are ample parking spaces by the street or parking garage right in front of the restaurant. The service was attentive and the food came out pretty quick. The shrimp was the perfect portion with the side salad and garlic bread, and the Philly was so good with a little added spice. This darling jewel is 500ft from the Torrance Theater Company (season ticket holder here) so we decided to try it out on Saturday. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and our server was an absolute delight. The restaurant is pretty big and I think I counted at least 13 tv sets. The menu is extensive and breakfast is served all day. Everything sounded delicious but we finally decided on avocado toast and a club sandwich. Both were delicious with very generous portions. We sat in a booth that I believe was bigger than my car! Easily six people would fit. There are three sections (sort of). Casual dining, the more intimate section in the middle, the other side seemed more "happy hour-ish". It's in old town Torrance, so I suspect parking is a nightmare. I parked at the theater.
