My go-to boba here in Stockton. I can't believe it has taken me this long to write them a review considering how often I go here for as long as I can remember. I've tried many boba stops here and there in town, but I always go back here for their price and quality. Great variety of drinks, flavors, and snacks. Cheap, fast, and clean thus a great place to just hang out. Staff is quick, alert, and friendly so don't be shy to ask them any questions that you are unsure of. Be adventurous if you ever get the chance, try different things. Or stick to what you know, which I'm sure they've mastered on their own. Also try it with a snack if you're a little bit hungry. My personal favorite is the vanilla bean snow and you can never go wrong with a side of popcorn chicken. read more

I always thought of Lollicup as the McDonalds (e.g. standardized, cheap, not too impressive but good enough) of the milk tea world but this Lollicup completely changed my mind. I wasn't too impressed by the interior. I noted, a bunch of tables covered in food crumbs and the fact that they shared the area with an actual restaurant. Three ladies were behind the counter and even more in the kitchen. The line was always long, but it moved really quickly. I ordered the green milk tea and I was really surprised at how good it tastes -- just like the real milk tea that I tried while vacationing in Hong Kong! And, my bf got the coffee milk tea which is srsly, the bomb (it's sweet though, so be aware of that). I think boba places mess up the drink when it begins to taste too plastic-ky.. like you're drinking some sugar milk or something.. or when you can't taste the tea at all. But, no problem here. I'm boycotting this place. Why offer drinks on your menu and then tell me you don't serve it anymore so you give me a drink that I didn't want? I ordered a taro tea but they gave me a taro milk tea. When I asked, "well it's on your menu".. their response was "because we don't serve it anymore, so we're giving you this" .......................... Plus, they take forever to cook their fried food. I love balls! Meatballs, cheese balls, snow balls, chocolate balls and malt balls. Boba balls? Not so much. It's not that they taste bad because there really isn't any flavor but texture wise they are too slimy and they interfere with my drinking process. I had never been to a lollicup but I was curious about these tapioca balls so I thought I'd check it out. The service was good and the place was clean, which is nice. I ordered the Rainbow slush with boba. The flavor of the slush was apple, strawberry and mango. Good but super sweet. I would have rather sucked on just the slush instead of sucking balls. I got one of the popular plates rhey serve such as cube steak with orange rice. the dish came out looking great but on the first bite is like what happened to the flavor no taste at all. sevice was slow and didnt really care after they took the order and droped off the food. next is the boba drinks when I saw them making it. I haven't been here in years and I remember really loving this place circa 2003 when it first opened. Things have changed. I ordered a hot almond milk tea with mini boba yesterday. It was good for the first 3 minutes when it was still warm but after awhile it thickened up and tasted like there was too much almond powder or maybe too much half and half. This location is in conjunction with Lollibowl. Delicious drinks and dessert here while enjoying a nice hot noodle soup or rice plate at Lollibowl. Every time I finish a meal at Lollibowl, I always drop by Lollicup for a quick dessert. After the remodeling back in fall of 2013, this place looks a lot more spacious and modern! They also added new items to their menu. Unlike most other Lollicup locations, this one here serves shaved ice!! Great treat for this hot summer. The shaved ice comes in multiple flavors, off the top of my head I recall Green Tea, Mango, and Taro. I am a huge fan of Taro so I got the taro flavored shaved ice with popping mango jello. Man oh man... this shaved ice just melts the second it touches your tongue. The cold and sweet sensation from it is such a bliss! I come to this location for just the drinks on numerous occasions, but now that they have something even cooler for this hot summer.. I'll be back for the other flavors soon! :P My favorite drink from this location is the taro/coconut milk tea. I ask to get a blend of the two because they just compliment each other so well in flavor. When it is made with any modifications, the drink is a tad bit sweet for my liking. I always ask them to make my drinks "Less Sweet" and they will cut back on the sugar for you. This modification makes the drink better tasting (for me at least) and also eases my mind about not consuming as much sugar as I would have with no modifications. :) Customer service here is wonderful. I have ran into just about all of the staffs working here but there was one who stood out with her jolly attitude, that would be Iris. Service was mediocre, we asked the cashier three times if they had matcha green tea and it took three times for him to respond, he was more focused on staring at the cashier. Given that Sacramento is having tremendous burst of boba tea spots, this place has a lot of room to refine their drinks. All three of my girls got different drinks and my kids said they couldn't drink it because it was just too sweet. We are huge advocates of boba teas for our kids and love taking them to try new places. I suppose we are spoiled by other boba drinks that permits variation in sweetness and also more authentic tea flavors. My girls drinks tasted nothing more than artificial flavoring, sugar, and ice. I love their honey green tea! But I can't drink milk due to a milk allergy so I usually order off their tea menu. The boba has improved by quite a bit ever since they finished remodeling the place. I don't know what happened actually (maybe they underwent secret training), but the boba texture is much better than before. It has a nice chewy texture and the correct firmness to it. However the boba lacks consistency sometimes. For example, occasionally you will get boba that will be much softer than the rest of the boba. Also the boba is not honey coated so once the liquid clears from your mouth, you are left with bland tasting boba. The honey green tea is flavorful and not too sweet. Overall it is a good experience and I give them 4 stars since they have improved their drinks. read more

Located in an convenient area where the best Vietnamese foods are. After eating a satisfying dish, I come to lollicup for some more satisfaction. Another note, I would totally come here a lot if I was still in high school. Apparently, this is the hang out place for young school kids! One time I saw this little boy doing his calculus homework and I was tempted to sit next to him and help him out. Man, I miss high school. So, cool hang out spot for those high school kids. At first I was going to give this place 4 stars, but then I realized that my Thai Milk Tea cravings were clouding my judgement. I only order Thai Milk Tea or Thai Milk Tea smoothies at boba places because everything else seems a bit too sweet for me. After finishing 1/4 of my thai tea -- my sweet tooth feeling a little more under control -- I began to notice that there seemed to be extra sugar added to my drink, and I could taste the crunchy crystallized sugar in every sip. I understand that most boba places use powder, but adding extra sugar was a bit too much for me. I can only imagine how much sweeter the other flavors would taste. On top of this, the boba that I ordered with the drink was harder than usual; even with a smoothie. As i finished half of my drink, I found myself working hard to suck up the boba and the smoothie because everything began to stick together. I usual don't have this problem at the other boba places that I have visited. Overall: This is place is a solid 3 stars. Service is adequate, the drinks are a bit sweeter than usual, and there really isn't anything special about what they have to offer. I am a regular here and i'll tell you why. I am not your typical "boba tea house" customer and I initially went because my friends were meeting there. My first drink was a plum icee...BLEW MY MIND! We suffer some pretty intense temperatures here in sac and that drink took me to a tropical paradise. I recommend this place all summer, no all year long. The prices are very budget friendly and you definitely get bang for your buck. The service is adequate, no negatives to report in that department. I also recommend taking some time to enjoy lunch or dinner in the adjacent restaurant (lollibowll) There was one waitress that was super polite named iris. I enjoy going when she is on because she is so polite and efficient. Overall Good drinks, good value, good service... winner! read more

The drinks are made out of artificial flavoring, but the flavors are still pretty good. The taro milk tea is a little too sweet if you don't add tapioca balls and the durian smoothie is potent. I ordered like a Avocado snow with Small Boba. I enjoyed it. I came to order my drink and leave. But as I was sitting there waiting for my drink, I notice that they had WIFI. A deep, lavender hue.. i always get Popcorn Chicken, Fish Balls, and sometimes fried Calmari. I get it super spicy so, MMMmmmm... When ur mouth is burning, sip some slush and it feels so good!!! Lollicup was THE hangout spot when I was a young'un in high school. We'd play 13 and other card games while sipping on drinks. Drinks are decent. There's a large selection to choose from, though the boba quality is iffy. Caution: don't get a slushie and regular boba together. It ruins the boba and by the time you finish the drink, you have the same amount of boba left as when you started :/ It doesn't go through the straw -____- it's totally frozen. The snacks are good. I love their popcorn chicken. nomnom. always ask for it spicy :] Service here sucks. I usually don't expect much from an Asian joint, but still, I'd like to retain some expectations for decent customer service! It's as though service has gotten worse over the years. One of the best places in south sac to get milk tea, their flavors aren't just sugary. My favorite is the honeydew, the only thing is that customer service is sad. If you know what you're ordering then you're good to go if you're new, they may be impatient with you. The consistency of their boba is always good I've never had hard or overlooked boba from this location. They're also very quick even when they're busy. Keep in mind slushes and more hand crafted drinks take longer than basic milk tea with only boba. Great place just kind of hard to find parking sometimes as it shares a parking lot with a lot of other small stores including a popular Mexican store. read more

It's the Coffee Milk Tea Boba for me. The usual accomplices get weird things like Pina Colada something or another. Cute gal gets something with the tiny boba but never finishes of the boba. Is it just to much effort? What kinda sucks (no pun intended) is when you reach the end of your drink. The ice has melted, it's now watered down, you're aiming your giant straw at the boba at the bottom and you imagine this is what feels like to slurp up tadpoles. As for the music videos playing? You're either stuck watching old Mariah Carey, Celene Dion, or Backstreet Boys videos or the occasional Psy video. All quite humorous for the cost of a tall Starbucks drink. Sorry to say - I come here because of LolliBowl. If it weren't for LolliBowl, which is connected inside, I wouldn't care too much for LolliCup. For those new to this - LolliBowl is for noodles/food (hence the 'bowl'). LolliCup is the side for drinks, milk tea type stuff (hence the 'cup). Not trying to be smart - just pointing it out. The drinks are good and meets my expectations. The menu selection is also good. I choose the HoneyDew slush or the Taro-slush - yes, with boba. Rated 3/5, nothing wrong with the place, just like I said, I'm not a big milk-tea fan or whatever. I don't go out of my way to get milk-tea. I come here for LolliBowl, and if I feel like it, I'll grab a milk-tea from the other side. Being in a place where the boba and bubble tea don't exactly flow freely, it's nice to be able to go pretty much anywhere in Sacramento and find it. As for Lollicup, it's pretty standard as far as boba places go -- nothing particularly outstanding and nothing particularly bad either. You know what you're going to get at Lollicup -- good bubble tea, and if you're so inclined, random snacks and such. The shopping center in which this Lollicup is located is a very, very cramped and busy one. Parking isn't exactly easy to come by as the place is always busy. Good thing is though there are always people coming and going so spots will open up. Not every Lollicup has the same prices and this location has calamari for $3.50! And they give you a decent amount of calamari. The only thing I didn't like about it is their new dipping sauce. It's more of a bbq based sauce now and not the original red sweet and sour sauce. Don't know if they still offer the old sauce but I didn't bother to ask. My favorite location!!! They have perfected the boba to a tea! (Pun intended lol) Majority of my visits here they are super busy but the quality of their drinks are worth the wait and it's always entertaining to see what early 2000s music videos are playing each time. If you're in need of a caffeine fix, I highly recommend the large peach green tea with boba! The pomegranate slush with pomegranate popping pearls is also a yummy sweet treat! I'm a boba fan, and I thought that the beverages and food here were pretty solid. My boyfriend got a hot Taro milk tea and I got an iced banana milk tea. The hot Taro had a smoother consistency than others that I've ordered at other Boba locations, and they used fresh bananas for my banana milk tea, which was a big plus. My qualms are that they didn't give a straw for the hot boba, just a spoon, while I really enjoy slurping the boba through a straw. I also initially ordered my banana milk tea hot, but they said they couldn't do that due to the fresh banana in it. But then why was the banana milk tea listed under all the drinks that could be served either hot or cold? We decided to snack on some popcorn chicken, which I ordered mild, and I thought it was really really delicious. Mild was definitely super mild, and was practically not spicy for me, even though I have pretty bad tolerance for spicy foods. I personally liked that about it, but you might want to "size up" in spiciness if you like it hotter. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly and I definitely would have ordered more if I wasn't already super full from having dinner beforehand.
