I've had lunch here twice, gotten the combo plate both times. It comes with a veggie egg roll, either chicken chow mein or chicken fried rice, and an entree. The first time, I went with the dried fried ribs and chicken fried rice. I have to say that it was pretty good. The portion itself is pretty big. I couldn't finish my lunch, and that's saying something. The second time around, I went for the kung pao chicken, and I wasn't upset with my decision. The entrees at this place have never upset me. The chicken fried rice is nothing special, just chicken, rice and some soy sauce. The veggie egg roll is a little oily, but not enough to pass this place over. The storefront itself is minimalist. Two tables with two chairs to sit each. You place your order in a window and the food is wrapped for you to take it to go. I love this place, I grew up with my family ordering food from here. I absoulutley LOVE IT. The Chow-fun (chicken or shirmp) is to die for and also the stemed veggies and sauce. I love it, they always deliver early and really nice. The portions are right for youre money. The only negative thing is, closed on Monday. I live around the neighborhood and it's like the most decent one out of all of the other chinese restaurants around my neck of the woods. I always order the Mushu pork, walnut prawns and the beef chow fun with black beans. I only order here for the convienance when I get lazy and don't feel like dining out. Horrible experience! I ordered for delivery and the lady over the phone was completely rude and impatient. 1. She got upset at me the first time I asked if they delivered. 2. She was rushing to get my phone number/address, and she kept screwing it up, and getting mad at ME. 3. She rushed through my credit card number and messed it up 4 times. Hung up on me, and called back 30 minutes later. The food is meh. It's not worth it to deal with this lady. I've ordered from here twice, and each time It's been the same lady giving me a tough time. I came by here after work just because I was craving some Chinese food and didn't have the time to cook for myself. And as a Chinese person...I was very disappointed with the service. I made $40 for 2 Fried Rice plates and 1 Chow Mein and having been to many authentic Chinese places, I know for $40 I should be getting a huge box for each plate. The wait was roughly ~35 minutes and when the items came out, it was put in a med/large to go box. For the amount that I paid, it was suppose to be a lot more than that. You walk into a filthy nearly bare white room with a half moon jail cell looking window. Honestly I half-reconsidered upon entering and even went to look on Yelp for food poisoning warnings but I'm on my break and I don't have too much time so I go for it. But I'm not finishing describing this grotesque room there are two tables a mix of cheap plastic patio chairs and curb side tables and chairs. Some are broken none look inviting. The food is okay and it has a very fast delivery service. I love the food and it tastes just like I expect it to taste like. My family and I get the 3-4 dinner combo, but it's more than enough for 3 people. The gentleman that took my order offered to make me Chinese greens and broccoli together instead of buying the two separate. OMG, I have to disagree with the last guys review. If you love chinese food, this place is not the place to go. Too bad, I'm so close by, and I hate the freeway, oh well! So, we had mixed veggies with braised tofu, i ordered it "a little spicy." Bland, the tofu was mushy, however, the veggies were cooked to a nice just done, but still had a good amount of crunch. So that part was good. And, we had the walnut prawns. Their version is only ok, the walnuts were pretty good, and we ate the prawns, but only because we were hungry, and it was there. We won't be coming back again. March 2099 update... OK, I know I said, we won't be coming here again. But, for some reason (they are close, and a small business close to our house, as oppossed to Panda) we did try it again. All I can say is, why didn't I learn? It may have been worse than I remembered. They now offer fried crab and cheese puffs. I love those, and had to try them. Ick! What a dissapointment. The filling was mostly crab, but not much, and nearly no cream cheese. They were dry and flavorless. I will give credit for the won ton wrapper being nicely fried, light brown, crunchy and yummy. I followed Eddie K's recommendation "Try the Lemon Chicken! Try the Beef and Garlic!" and sorry, Eddie, but you were way off base! The lemon chicken was decent. The breading was light and crunchy, the chicken was well cooked, still a bit tender, but completely done. But, the sauce reminded me of lemon jello powder as the base, mixed with... what i don't know. It was still a bit gritty, like the jello powder didn't dissolve completely. But, if it had, the sauce may have been good... it was a fairly nice flavor. The Garlic Beef on the other hand. Ick. The beef was gristly. The flavor was not good. It was like the garlic was in a pan with burned bits that were infused into the garlic. Not impressed. Look, I want a small business to succeed. And, I'd love to have restarant in my hood that I want to eat at. BUT, I'm just not willing to lower my standards to accept this. And, hello! My standards really aren't that high that begin with! The honey shrimp walnut prawns were heavily batter and the sweet n sour chicken the same thick batter with no seasoning. The chicken chow mien was sweet. The prawn fried rice had hard old rice in it. Because of good reviews here I just ordered and delivery was fast. I stopped ordering 3 yrs ago did to the new cook over cooking the dried fried ribs amongst other things. Tonite the batter on my salt and pepper chicken nuggets was fried in old grease and the batter was hard as hell.. I should have told them that I want my food fried in fresh grease. That's what we have to do and check out foods(even delivered foods) before paying.. so if was my fault for assuming it was all good. Ordered egg roll, chow fun noodles, chicken chow mein, sweet & sour pork, bbq pork fried rice & vege dish. All was very tasty and the price was right. They delivered the food in half hour to our job with plates, forks, napkins and plenty of soy sauce. They even taped the box so the juice would not spill all in the bag. Everything was nice and clean.The driver was very nice. This place is a keeper and we will order from again and tell all the other employees as well when hungry for good food and a very reasonable price.
