My first time trying Luke's was at their Las Vegas location. Somehow the food was even more delicious trying it at their Seattle location. I was surprised to see that we were the only customers there. We must have came during an off time, but the service was super quick and we got our food right away. We got the trio and the best one out of the three was definitely the lobster. The shrimp roll was a bit too greasy for my liking. I ended up only eating one bite. I saw a few months back that Luke's Lobster would be opening just right down the street from me, but started to worry because my time in Seattle was coming to an end and I thought I wouldn't get to try it. The stars aligned and I got to visit on their grand opening day, just a couple days before my move! I walked in and was delightfully greeted by three team members at the door! Conflicted on what to try (especially knowing this could be the only time I ever eat here), they were quick to suggest Luke's Trio which was a sampler of their Lobster Roll, Shrimp Roll, and Dungeness Crab Roll. To be honest, it did take a while, but I think that's expected at any grand opening as they're still figuring out the ropes, so I didn't mind at all. The staff was also very nice about it and would check in with me from time to time, apologizing for the wait. The rolls were all so delicious! So great that I couldn't decide on a favorite. I just loved them all. I kept my expectations low because I was a bit disappointed with other similar eateries that opened around here previously, but this was definitely worth it! You can choose between 4 or 6 ounces of sea creature on your sandwich. I splurged for six ounces of Dungeness crab because mind your own business, that's why. They offer a variety of crab and lobster (types, flavors, etc) and you can upgrade to combo with chips and a drink or a soup and a drink. Yours truly opted for clam chowder - when in Rome. Twas delicious and the crab was piled so high in my roll that some of it fell off and landed in my soup; an outcome that I did not hate. Popped in for a quick lunch with a colleague. First time trying Luke's and I thought it was really good. I've never been a huge lobster fan but this place could help change that. I appreciated that none of the rolls tasted fishy and the bread was soft! Staff was friendly and efficient, helping us with deciding what to order. Heard a lot about this place and finally made it in. Had the 4 oz warm butter lobster roll while my husband had the 6 oz version as a combo which allowed us to get a side of cole slaw. Lunch for two was about $70. The lobster roll was good but it wasn't spectacular. It was filled with lobster claw meat, especially with the meat from the "finger" part of the claw that has a totally different texture than what you normally think about when you have lobster. Had a craving for Lobster rolls and not just any but, some damn good ones. After a quick search during my trip to SF (Houston native) I saw they had a Luke's Lobster and off I went. When arrived I was great by an awesome / welcoming staff member who was in my opinion a quintessential "ginger" to include a full beard! I couldn't help myself and got carried away by ordering two rolls 1 lobster and 1 crab. When they came out I was in heaven because they were a quality portioned pair. They weren't a match for my hunger (because I had saved my appetite.) so, I had to order more of the same. ‍ Yup, by the 3rd one I had to tap out and by that time the place had close. The staff was so nice that they didn't rush me out and encouraged me to just enjoy my meal. Again, I went back into bliss because they were that good. What better meal than a warm lobster roll and soup on a rainy day in Seattle! Decided to stop by for a quick lunch while waiting for the rain to die down and it did not disappoint! I got the 4oz spicy honey butter lobster roll and my friend got the 4oz warm butter lobster roll with lobster bisque. I would suggest paying extra and getting the 6oz roll I felt the 4oz wasn't as filling. The taste however was great, within the first bite you could tell how fresh the lobster was and with each bite it kept getting better and better. For the spice honey butter you could feel that kick of spice through each bite. We used the bisque to dip our rolls and found it helped to make the roll feel more fuller. This place is a bit on the pricey side, but would recommend trying it out at least once if in the area. The restaurant itself was super clean, lots of seating, and friendly service. When I saw this place opened I was immediately intrigued having lived in the NE for a while and loving lobster rolls! But, I wasn't going to drive all the way to Seattle for *just* a lobster roll. We were in town for the Taste of Washington and staying at the Inn at the Market so we grabbed lunch at Luke's. It's a walk up counter so service is pretty quick depending upon the line. It can be a bit noisy when crowded, but not too bad. We ordered a trio and a 6oz warm butter lobster roll with two Boylens which runs around $70 for two for lunch. But it's a LOT of sustainable seafood for that price. The warm lobster was *kiss* and 6oz makes a good sandwich - dripping in warm butter just the roadside places in the NE. The trio was a fantastic mix of available sandwiches - the lobster is not hot but warm (not a cold lobster salad). Of the three in the Trio, we preferred the lobster and crab. The shrimp wasn't bad, just not as great as the others. Luke's lived up to my expectations of a great lobster roll and if you're craving one I recommend it. read more

Luke's Lobster joins two other eateries in the immediate vicinity offering lobster rolls. I really had to wonder if they all decided to hang out 2 blocks from each other. Cra cra. Anyway, why not. There are plenty of seafood in the area; what is one more to satisfy all the tourists coming in for cruise ships. The eatery is basically decorated. We ordered from the counter, and they brought the food out to us. We also have to bus the tables ourselves. On the day we went, we arrived at the tail end of crowds, so we had to be stalkers and make eye-contact to finishing diners to snag a table. Just be aware if you come with a bigger group. It could be difficult to sit together. Most seatings are for 2 to 4 people. The Food: Lobster Roll at 4oz size, $24 - 4 Stars Warm Butter Lobster Roll at 4oz size, $25 - 4 Stars The cashier does up-sell the "butter bath" to the warm butter version. It's ok for a buck. The lobsters are plenty well-seasoned. I don't think they stand out any more than the other two places. I would choose one based on convenience of seating. Lobster Bisque, 12oz, $13 - 1.5 Stars N.E. Clam Chowder, 12oz, $10 - 2 Stars, maybe They brought us the clam chowder first, which we absentmindedly started to eat it. Then we suddenly looked at each other and said, "Didn't we order the lobster bisque?" After double-checking the receipt, yes, yes, we did. We flagged done the guy we ordered from, and he said he'll bring it out to us. They fixed the problem, so no complaints in that regard. Unfortunately, both the bisque and chowder are very mediocre. The bisque was very runny and lacked "thickness". It's more of a runny broth type of soup. It also could have used more flavor. The good thing is that there are chunks of lobster in the bottom, and it was served piping hot. Meanwhile, the chowder is potentially more promising, but it was served lukewarm, closer to room temperature. A clam chowder shouldn't be clammy cool. It also was on the runny side, but not as runny as the bisque. I would not buy, either of these again. When we visited in late Sept, the young staff were clearly relatively new at the job and only moderately trained. I hope they are all a bit sharper and more on point by now. read more
