Lobster Roll - Select (6oz) spicy honey butter

I stopped by here just to get something in my belly while at Pike Place. I had ate here in Boston some time ago. I believe this location was fairly new. I decided to go with the 6 oz Lobster roll with the hot honey butter. I wish I had read the menu better. When they offered the 4, 6 or 8 oz I opted for the 6. The hot honey butter was a $1 charge, which isn't bad at all. Though my final bill was over $50(with tip), which seems like a lot for a sandwich. But I get it, it is lobster, so I'll stop complaining. . Overall the bun was fluffy and tasty and the 6oz was A LOT. I can only imagine the 8 oz. I will more than likely come back as I saw both Lobster roll flights and crab roll flights(I think they were around $40. 3 different versions of each. I will say that I do like how everything comes with chips and a soda. Not just the cheap soda either. They had Bedfords which made me even happier. If money isn't an issue and you want a fantastic lobster roll, you will not be disappointed!!!

The cashier was very nice AND patient as I changed lobster roll sizes. Ambiance is family oriented. My bill was $63.60?with a very small bag of chips. I'm coming back and bringing my hubby!!

Service was quick. Casual semi fast food dining ambiance. I was really looking forward to it because of all the hype but was sadly dissatisfied. For $30 I would have thought there would be much more flavor. It was pretty bland if you ask me and small too. Im still hungry after finishing the 4oz. I could have got the 6oz but I could not rationalize spending more than $30 for a sandwich. I'm glad I tried it but won't be coming back.

Just got off our cruise ship and had time to kill and happened to walk by Luke's. I decided to try their 1/2 Lb lobster roll and it was excellent! I wanted to try their crab roll also but unfortunately they were out of crab the morning we went there. But I would definitely recommend Luke's!

Friendly service even when you can tell they were busy. Line was out the door. Line moved pretty quickly. I was lucky to get a table. Noise is average and ambiance is nice. I went with the Luke's trio rolls which is 2 oz of meat. Supposed to be shrimp, crab and lobster. Wasn't feeling shrimp today asked if I could swap out the shrimp for an up charge they said sure. Asked for an extra butter. Cause the sweet honey butter had me intrigued but didn't want to commit. I asked for everything to be hot as I'm not a fan of cold crab. This was my only complaint. My crab was cold!!! :( So I didn't finish them and they were so busy I didn't want to make a fuss so I can't tell ya about the crab rolls but the lobster ones were fabulous and the spicy honey butter was fun and delicious. Worth giving it a shot.

A solid 4.5 here, the clam chowder is missing that nice creamy richness. But the lobster roll is on point. But it's not bad, definitely very filling and a lot of lobster in the roll. But I came in for clam chowder and it wasn't to great.

Quick service friendly staff good lobster rolls but they are small so keep that in mind if your really hungry

We each got a roll and split them, so the pictures show half the rolls. The full lobster roll had 6oz of meat in total and it was warmed, which was great. Price is a bit steep but not that surprising. We enjoyed them

Originally I was not sure about the price, but afterwards, I found they give a Very generous servings of protein with the rolls which makes it reasonably price! They do not skimp at all on the seafood. I decided to try the seafood roll flight and glad I did. The roll they come on is also super soft, buttery and DANGEROUS lol. This one hurts to write because Luke's Lobster used to be one of those places I'd happily recommend to anyone visiting Seattle. My husband Jordan and I stopped in today before catching a flight, excited to treat ourselves to one of our favorite seafood meals. He ordered the flight, and I ordered the warm 8oz Truffle Lobster Roll. The first impression was great. The food looked absolutely amazing. The lobster was generous, fresh-looking, and overflowing from the bun. If I had judged the meal based on appearance alone, it would have been a 5-star experience. Unfortunately, the flavor told a completely different story. Everything tasted surprisingly bland. The lobster lacked seasoning, and the truffle flavor that used to make this roll stand out was barely noticeable. I kept taking bites hoping that signature flavor would show up, but it never did. Instead, it felt flat and forgettable. What was especially disappointing is that Luke's has always been expensive--but it used to feel worth every penny. You paid a premium price because the quality and flavor were exceptional. This visit felt like the price stayed the same while the experience took a major step backward. We left feeling let down because this wasn't our first visit. We know how good these rolls used to be, which made the contrast even more noticeable. The food looked beautiful, but the taste simply didn't match the presentation. I sincerely hope this was just an off day because I'd love to see Luke's return to the quality that made it a Seattle favorite. For now, though, this visit was a disappointing reminder that appearance alone can't make up for missing flavor.

Famous for the Rolls... but Missing a Little Something. I stopped by Luke's Lobster and ordered the seafood flight which consisted of 1 shrimp roll,1 lobster roll, and 1 crab roll. It's what they're known for, so I had to try the trio. The presentation was simple and clean, and the seafood itself tasted fresh, but I couldn't help feeling like something was missing. Each roll leaned a little dry and plain, almost like they needed a touch more butter or a signature sauce to bring it all together. The seasoning was very light, which might work for some, but I personally wanted more flavor. For a place that's famous for its rolls, I expected that "wow" bite and it just didn't quite hit that mark. Service was also just okay. Nothing terrible, but it lacked warmth or attentiveness. For the price point and reputation, I wanted a bit more energy and hospitality. Still, it's worth a visit if you love simple, no-frills seafood and want to sample a little bit of everything. Just don't expect bold flavors or much flair. I'd say it's more understated than indulgent.

OMG I was so excited to try this place! We went on a Saturday and got service right away. The cashier was super friendly and nice helping us get to know the menu and their options. The lobster roll flight is a unique idea I hadn't seen any other place and I opted to get that- the spicy honey roll was my favorite and I would highly recommend it to anyone! Each roll in the flight was 2oz of crab so it was the perfect way to sample each of the 3 flavors and also fill you up. You could also opt for a bigger size roll in any flavor- either 4 or 6 oz. They also offered a roll flight of lobster, crab, and shrimp but these only came cold (except the lobster) which was a disappointment and why I opted not to try this roll. You can make your roll a meal for $2 and add chips and a drink which I think is a great deal. My only disappointment is there was 2 pieces of shell/cartridge in my rolls which was a little gross and had me taken aback for a minute (see attached photo)w. I really enjoyed the vibe of this place- it was laid back, nicely decorated, with friendly staff. And the rolls were great! We will be back! read more

Not awful but not very good, lobster roll was pretty good, but the clam chowder was the worst I have had and my wife agreed. Overall it was rather expensive, which I guess is to be expected for a lobster place, but it didn't feel worth it. Service was really nothing special, it's basically all do it yourself and order at the counter. They didn't have fresh lemon which I think is weird for a lobster place, and they also for some reason charge you a dollar to heat up the roll. read more

First time in Seattle so my partner and I decided to try this place out. The location is perfect, it's right across from the Pike Market. The place was clean, cute & had plenty of seating. The staff were friendly and welcoming. I had the lobster roll warmed up and my partner had the crab roll. Both were super delicious and flavorful . My sister and I came in to visit from Mexico, and we truly enjoyed the atmosphere here! It was clean, inviting and the 2 trio's we had were perfection. The buns were warm and the portions were just right that filled us up. We didn't know anything about the trio's as first timers..but I remember there was a gal who was at the cashier register and she had the same name as my aunt - Josephine. The service she provided was excellent and real comforting! When she told me there was a location in SF she offered a point card to use for every visit so if I do visit I'll get that stamped! This is a look up menu but the taste is sit down quality. The place is small and they did not have any outside seating when we went because of construction on the street outside. It was crowded and we had to stalk some people leaving to grab their seats before someone else did. It almost seemed as though the staff wanted to ask us to leave cause we were sitting in a place for 6 but half of us were in line ordering. Glad they talked to us first. The food tasted great! Top 5 best lobster rolls I ever had. My daughter liked the crab roll which I thought was ok. My son liked the shrimp roll I thought was ok. I did like that they offer a sampler which made me go buy a full lobster roll. Also tried the lobster bisque which was also tasty. Service was very polite. The ambiance was ok when you walk in it just looks like a sit in lobster spot. If I'm in the area I would definitely come here for the lobster roll. read more

Expensive but delicious. It is lobster so, no, it is not cheap but it is a very tasty little spot. I am a big fan of the trio: 3 small sandwiches a crab, a shrimp, and a lobster roll. . . Because I can't choose just one. Great clam chowder. Lots of clams. This is a small shop, really doesn't seat to many. It fast casual experience, order at the counter and grab a table number. Very well worth the money for the Lobster and crab rolls. The lobster roll was about $35 but I got great chunks of sweet, juicy lobsters. The bread was very dense that was toasted with butter. The crab roll was much the same with sweet crab meat and a great tasting bread. I was think about getting the trio but having a full size lobster and crab roll was far more better than 3 small sandwiches. I will come back whenever I visit Seattle again. read more

We were very excited to try this place after all the good things we heard however we were very disappointed. $92.00 for flights for two people & a cup of soup - no drinks or sides included. Super overpriced for the portion size of the food. The rolls were half a slice of bread with a spoonful of crab inside. Crab had a wonderful flavor but did not realize it would be so cold. Clam chowder 5/10 - had 1 clam in my whole 8oz cup. Ok experience but unlikely to ever return. read more

Luke's Lobster uses ONLY traceable & sustainable seafood. We buy it directly from lobstermen so we can trace it's exact origin back to the very dock it came from! We specialize in lobster rolls - warm buttery & toasted New England split-top buns, small swipe of mayo inside, chilled lobster meat, topped off with a drizzle of hot lemon butter and a dash of our secret seasoning. While we are famous for the chilled seafood, you do have the option to make a lobster roll warm for an additional dollar. We serve fantasic small-batch craft soups and have a curated selection of beers, seltzers, cider, etc avaible as well!

Established in 2009.

Luke's Lobster is a family-owned, B Corp Certified, Maine seafood business, founded by third-generation lobsterman Luke Holden. Luke's began as a tiny lobster roll shack in New York City in 2009. Today Luke's has shack locations in 10 US states, Japan, and Singapore. In 2013, we opened our own seafood purchasing and production business in Saco, Maine, making us truly vertically integrated. In 2018, we expanded into grocery stores nationwide, and in 2020, we launched our online market, to bring seafood direct from Maine to doorsteps around the country. As we grow, we deepen our commitment to our core values, and keep our small family business mindset, with a commitment to putting stakeholders above profits, as you'll see from our Certified B Corp status. Obviously, they cook everything fresh to order because the inside of the fries was like lava. The fries were thick-cut and seasoned to perfection. The sandwich was good. I thought some pieces of the steak were a bit tough, and the roll seemed a bit over-steamed or possibly stale. A good sandwich and decent portion, nonetheless. I'm still going 5 stars here. I think Big Mike's is a great choice if you want a hearty, meat-filled sandwich and you happen to be in the area. However, I think you could be happy with another dining option in the Armory, too. My kids loved the MOD Pizza nearby. While there isn't anything wildly unique going on at Big Mike's, they are still pushing out great sandwiches at reasonable prices with a no-frills ordering process.
