My new favorite coffee shop in LA and i've tried a LOT! The customer service is outstanding, the owner is there welcoming customers and even remembered my name the second time I came in. I had the praline latte and it is soooo delicious! You can tell they use very high quality ingredients. If you get your coffee "for here" it comes in a beautiful glass with a mixing spoon. The prices are a bit high but you have to remember you are paying for quality beans.. not just a normal cup of coffee from any regular coffee shop. I found Link's Coffee through TikTok and finally got to try their Snow Matcha Iced Latte -- and wow, it did not disappoint. I mentioned to the guy at the front that I'm pregnant and can't have too much caffeine, and he was so helpful in explaining the difference between the Iced Matcha Latte (4g matcha) and the Snow (2.5g matcha). I went with the Snow for less caffeine, and it was perfect. The drink itself was super refreshing, smooth, and not at all bitter. You can tell they use high-quality matcha, which I always appreciate. Very cute inside, lots of room for seating both inside and outside which I loved. Arian helped us and answered all of our questions and was very nice! He told us about the different matches that they offer. I got both the Kao matcha and the normal standard matcha they use, both unsweetened and whole milk . I personally liked the normal matcha better than the Kao it gave off a weird flavor for me personally. Everyone has personal preference tho so it could be your favorite! So I love " the Snow" drink. But the slowness of this place makes me crazy. The fact that there will be a long line with no one manning the register when it's busy is just bad customer service. My last visit had over 10 people in line, no one manning the orders or register and at least 7 people waiting for their drinks. What also I find odd is the owner often sits on his computer watching the line get longer- without getting up to help his employees. Obviously not a team player. People keep coming because the product is good, but prices are high. I have to imagine Lynx's profit is high so why not hire an additional employee or two need to make this coffee place run smoother. I'm a coffee addict and whenever I find myself in an area I don't frequent, I seek out new coffee shops. So one recent morning I was in Sherman Oaks and looked up Lynx Coffee. I parked in front a few minutes before opening time and found it to be very quiet. Got in first and ordered a matcha latte and a latte with vanilla. I don't usually add syrup but I noticed that they make their own vanilla syrup so wanted to try it. Let's just say it was extraordinarily delicious. The specks of high quality vanilla bean were abundant and they balanced well with the beans they used. One of the best cups of coffee I've had in a while. The shop was run by just two guys and this small amount of manpower became very apparent about 10 minutes later when the line got very long. But no one seemed to be anxious or impatient, probably very aware of the care these two guys put into each cup. We sat there and watched every seat, inside and outside, get filed up with humans and adorable dogs alike. What a great place to sit and relax on a sunny weekend morning. read more

Probably the best matcha I've found in the valley so far, BUT, giving it 3 stars for a couple reasons: - The price is pretty high for the size (specifically the snow). I find this one to be smaller than usual matchas, and most of it seems to be milk & the cold foam but the matcha flavor still comes through pretty well. - They REALLY need to put the menu somewhere on the wall so people can look at it while standing in line. I've been here 3-4 times and every time, there are people who make the line move sooo slow because they don't see the menu until they get up to the cash register, and then they ask a bunch of questions to make decisions. If the menu is somewhere it can be easily read beforehand, it would help speed up the line. read more

Lynx has everything that makes a multiroaster excellent. Jared - the head of the shop - is a mastermind. He is one of the most forward thinking people I've encountered in the California coffee industry, capturing the need to provide a cutting edge experience. One thing that sets Lynx apart from other LA shops is the ability to choose any coffee from their massive selection and drink it in the format of your choice. It's not a situation where a few varietals are available for pourover and two or three are offered on espresso. At Lynx, you can choose any bean and have it made into a straight espresso, a hand brew, a cappuccino, a muscovado latte... it's up to you. The quality of ingredients at Lynx exceeds industry standards by a mile, which makes sense considering Jared's past at Loquat. Not only has been mentored by the best, he's naturally talented and looking for new ways to push himself beyond what's "good" in the coffee community.
