It was my second time at Maggie McFly's and it went better then my first experience. My first time there I thought the food was OK, but very overpriced. This time out I thought the food was good and somewhat overpriced, but I was there for lunch this time and not dinner, so that might be part of it. I love this place, I'm from California and I wish we have one of this there. They have a menu of 10 pages , you can have whatever you want and all is great! Who offers hollandaise sauce with crab meat hash eggs any style but says, " we don't have poached eggs." If it is farm fresh how do you not have poached eggs? I'm sorry, do you not have a pot and boiling water? This place is low on my list and I'm questioning how "farm fresh" it really is, if they can't poach a few eggs to go with a signature hollandaise sauce breakfast. The wait staff is friendly and attentive. They offer a separate fryer to be more allergy friendly. However our waitstaff did not understand allergies, " you are allowed to have whip cream? I didn't know if you were allergic to gluten free or something?" Their espresso machine was broken and the coffee was not good. Overall, I don't think they are a good option for breakfast. Stick to the bar and watching sporting events here, not breakfast. In my opinion Ray H.'s comment sums up the atmosphere, attitude and personality of the restaurant. read more

I rarely give out 5-stars, but I loved it so much that I went there both nights I was in Glastonbury. Yes, the menu is so huge that it might seem intimidating, but the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced. The menu even explains where certain things come from. There are tons of drink choices, snacks, appetizers, and meals to suit any mood. I was there for Lobsterfest in June. On the first night tried a lobster roll and on the second, the lobster grilled cheese. They were lethal. Rich and delicious beyond belief. Excellent drinks too, and the prices for food are not bad. You won't be able to get lobster for less than $20 anywhere else. And that's not to mention the dessert. They have a section of the restaurant devoted entirely to making desserts. Local baked good and local ice cream. It does not get much better. read more

I've been to Maggie McFly's a few times and have enjoyed it whenever I've been. The menu is enormous, it's nearly impossible not to find something you want. I like the chicken salad sandwich and butternut squash soup (you can do a 1/2 sandwich with soup or salad). This past time I had seared scallops, which were very fresh. Sometimes they get busy and the service can be a little hit or miss. We went during Father's Day weekend and it took a while to get our drinks and place our order. It can get very loud when it's crowded. There was a screaming child during our last visit, it's not their fault (the waitress was apologetic), but honestly I think this kid was auditioning for a horror movie it was so loud. Usually a decent experience, I enjoy their happy hour and brunch. However, the bartenders are mostly inexperienced and seem to turnover quickly. The past couple times I've been they also have not been following social distancing protocol at the bar at all. We had people sit down a couple feet on either side of us and the bartenders said nothing. Also, only half the bar had a plexiglass shield and the bar was fully sat. They let people sit down at the bar right after someone leaves, I've never seen them wipe or sanitize the bar top. They need to figure this out. read more

My rule of 3 strikes is now invoked here. I'm not sure if there was a change in management or just a change in general but the last 3 times we have gone they have been out of items which I just don't get in a restaurant. There was bad service one time and this last time they dropped my side on the floor when delivering, took forever to replace (I was done eating) and never even really apologized or took anything off the bill. I felt bad because the waiter was really good and trying. With that's said I've tried and am done. I hope they fix it soon because this used to be one of our favorite spots read more

We've been here a couple times. This past time it was surprisingly empty (about half full, it's always been packed from what I've been told). I got the pretzel burger which was pretty good, with parmesan truffle fries which were delicious. I went for takeout tonight and I got the lobster mac and cheese. This was probably the best dish I have ever had. It was pricey but there was a lot of lobster in the dish which made it worth the money. My only suggestion is that u advertise takeout a little bit more. Not a fan. Place was dirty. Ordered a Thai salad with grilled shrimp. The shrimp was grilled on a skewer and was really stuck to the skewer and difficult to slide off & the tails of the shrimp were raw. The salad itself was so so. Ordered the same salad at the Wood N Tap and I enjoyed that one so much more! The menu is just way too big and overwhelming. It was very stressful having the waitress stop by our table multiple times to see if we were ready to order. We came in towards the end of the evening and were seated before being told to rush our orders because the kitchen was closing. Totally fair, that's on us since we came in late. But wowza, I have never had such a sad pizza in my life. It was like a jumbo sized lunchable, with undercooked dough, sauce that tasted like it came out of an old jar of Ragu, wilted basil, unmelted (or really even warmed) mozzarella, and mealy, flavorless tomatoes. I would have asked to have it heated up at least, but our server was busy and the kitchen was closed. For nearly $14 you'd be better off buying the groceries and giving it a go yourself. read more

I frequent this Maggie's often and have never had a bad experience until tonight. The bartender seemed more interested in flirting with his coworker, who happened to be drinking at the bar after her shift, than making us drinks. We waited several minutes for our martinis, until the coworker finally told the bartender to go make the drinks. He then seemed annoyed that he was being asked to make drinks and was not personable in his delivery of the drinks to us. Not to mention, his service bar was filled with about 20 dirty glasses and he didn't seem to have any urgency in washing them. The drinks were good but the service was terrible. read more

This is always our local "go to" but tonight they went above and beyond. It was my sons 19th birthday and the first fully open weekend post Covid. It was packed with customers and clearly there was a lot going on. Leann the manager was running all night, offering genuine apologies for small delays that were completely understandable. Her hustle and kind demeanor were the epitome of true hospitality. If I ever own a restaurant I want her running it, she kept everything going amidst chaos and showed that she truly cares about her customers. We'll be loyal customers for life. Went to Maggie's on memorial day at night with another couple. My food was awful and I sent an email the next day to express my dissatisfaction. I received A response asking me for more details about my visit. I sent them the info they asked for but unfortunately I never heard back from them and it's been 10 days! Pretty disappointed at their lack of acknowledgement of a disappointed customer. I Will think twice before going back. In response to the manager who responded to this. Although you stated I received a response I only received one response from Cara with a request for more info. After I sent the info to her no one ever got back to me. Went here with a friend for dinner last night. Extremely disappointed. Flat Guinness, blandest Fettuccini Alfedo Ever. The seasoning of the chicken added to the dish was not compatible with the main dish...One size fits all strategy...The Fried Calamari was tasteless and clearly frozen . I stopped by to watch the NBA finals and check out the late night happy hour. $2 of premium beers and $4 snacks is a pretty great deal. The beer selection is really good and reasonable priced. I had the crab puffs and calamari and enjoyed both. The calamari was pretty pedestrian but the crab puffs were delicious. They were essentially mini crab cakes with a spicy creamy sauce. Bartenders were friendly but at times it was hard to get their attention. I would highly recommend this place late night. It's walking distance from the Hilton where I was staying which was nice because I had quite a few 8% and 9% beers. read more

This was myself and my partners first time here and right aeay, everything was wonderful. We were greeted with kindness by the girls up front. Our server David was so kind and accommodating. The place has a huge menu. It would be hard for someone not to find something that they wanted. My wife went there a few months ago with her elderly aunt. She ordered a turkey sandwich that had stuffing in and has cranberry mayo. She asked for no cranberry mayo as she is allergic to cranberries. She got a salad with her sandwich which was very god and her aunt enjoyed her meal. When my wife started to eat her sandwich she could taste the cranberry and began to feel the tingle in her mouth from her allergy. It took a while to get the waitress's attention but when she did the waitress said she told them no cranberry mayo and took it back. Then a man came out with it and said there was no cranberry mayo but there were cranberries in the stuffing. They did take it off the bill and offered to get her something else but by then she was more concerned about her allergic reaction than eating. Her reaction wasn't as bad as it could have been. It was an honest mistake on both sides as they didn't list cranberries in the stuffing on the menu and she didn't ask about any cranberries in what she ordered. They didn't charge her for the salad and offered to get her something else, so they did handle it well. read more

This is a sold restaurant that offers something-food or drink- for everyone. I've been here for birthdays, dates, and regular nights out to eat, and been happy every time. I do want to highlight one recent experience though. I went for a birthday dinner with 15 people on a Friday night at 6PM. I was worried that with a large group, inevitably something would get messed up with hundreds of food and drink combos on the menu. The staff had our huge table set and ready to go when we arrived and our waitress nailed everything we ordered- from drinks, apps, and salads to entrees and desserts. With such a wide ranging menu, decent prices, and a big space, Maggie's is a great place to have your larger group dinner party. read more

Ordered a strawberry goat cheese salad, got a salad topped with obviously MOLDY strawberries they had flipped over to try to hide. The waitress was great about it. She went and got her manager, who didn't even apologize. She just said "I heard your strawberries weren't very good so I brought you some new ones." To put on top of my existing moldy-strawberry salad? Uh, no thanks. I had to insist I was no longer interested in eating my salad before she angrily took it off the bill. If the cooks think it's acceptable to serve moldy fruit to their customers, I shudder to think of what else goes on in that kitchen. read more
