It seems that they go out of their way to hire the stupidest people they can find (like Pedro-Mgr-Ha) If you call the phone number posted to complain, no one ever answers it or returns a call. im a local here, its small town, they either get slammed, or slow. NEVER rely on the closing hours, NEVER rely on the quality of service or food. before i lived here i skipped the ones in lone pine cause bishop said they'd be open, let me down as a tourist, as a local same thing, i live 20 miles out of bishop, the last 3 times i went 30+ minutes before closing hours they are closed and long gone, not a person in the place. it takes 1.5+ hours to close the kitchen, or should anyways. NOT RELIABLE, drive through attendants wear hoodies and use there phones. Worst service in bishop hands down. let me repeat WORST SERVICE. go to taco bell, they come through and close on the hours posted (because of new owners) read more

Our trip here started out great as we ordered 1 vanilla shake and 1 chocolate shake and the total with dumb California tax came out to be $6.03. Unfortunately we only had 6 dollars in the car but the guy at the first window gave us the extra three cents which was very nice of him. Then we went on an emotional roller coaster as the lady at the next window gave us a chocolate and strawberry shake. When we said we ordered a vanilla and not a strawberry she got kinda pissy with us but also let us keep the strawberry one which would have gone to waste otherwise. As we searched out a homeless person to give the extra shake to I tasted my "vanilla shake" and it is most definitely egg nog flavor. Not sure if they haven't switched it over since the holidays or what but I would have preferred vanilla. All in all quite the interesting experience at McDonalds which isn't always a good thing. read more

I was pretty much raised here during the summers due to their awesome Play Place and generally clean astroturf. Unfortunately, this location didn't provide the usual prompt and accurate orders we are used to receiving. There were multiple workers....maybe in training? They placed the order incorrectly and we didn't realize our order was wrong until we were on our way on a long drive home! We stopped here about 7 months ago coming from Tahoe and always wanted to see the Devil's Postpile (near Mammoth Lake) during the summer. At the time of our first visit 8 mos ago-- it was a great place to charge the laptop, grab something warm, fast, and get off the road for a bit. Last week however...We quickly discovered all the outlets were superglued shut or "Out of Order". I even asked a local boy (who apparently "knew the manager"); he said "They glued them shut so Customers and climbers can't sit there and not buy anything." Funny though; at the time of our winter visit, we were actually encouraged by a very nice (Customer Service-oriented) girl-cashier (Kalya ?) to "use the roof plug above the dining area if there was too much noise in our Playplace (where some other outlets were, I suppose)". THIS TIME AROUND there were at least four groups of idle teenagers who --you guessed it--were texting, yelling, arguing and not buying anything. At least they were shooting spit balls of vast amounts of McDonald napkins across the dining area at each other, and otherwise causing quite an obnoxious raucous. I guess this is allowed... if you're ditching the local Bishop schools or something and not Eating?? Heaven forbid a Customer on the road (with an uncharged laptop and a bit of time AND MONEY) would consider "dining" here and draining the corporate McDonalds electricity while paying precious dollars for non-foods in the first place. PS. I actually asked manager CARLOS: he 'proudly' confirmed he was the one who actually glued all the outlets shut to "prevent guests from sitting here with computers, so (they) don't drain the electricity." When he asked if he could take my order, I smiled and said "No thanks, just let the franchise owner know we went someplace else to sit with our computers and spend some of our vacation money. Seriously.... twice in 3 days I've wanted a cup of coffee before going hunting. Sign says they open at 5 however this doesn't seem to mean anything. First morning signs all lit up, bit nobody answering the drive thru. Pulled up to the window, nothing. This morning after a long wait, I was informed they couldn't sell me a cup of joe because computers were acting up. Stopped here because we didn't feel like hassling with Schatz or Mahogany for a nice sammich on our way to Mammoth. It was about 1115 on a Friday and the place was pretty empty. There was an older couple with what appeared to be 6 grandchildren under the age of 5 in the play area. Tough job if you ask me! But back to McDs. Bathroom was well stocked and clean, yeah! Was greeted at the counter and quickly made our order. 2 cheeseburgers, 1 double cheeseburger extra pickles, large fries and 2 water cups. Food came out super fast, awesome! Double cheeseburger had extra pickles as requested, great! The fries, however had to have been sitting there for quite some time and were stale. Staff HAD to have known they were sucky. So we took them back to the counter and asked for fresh ones. They obliged. A few minutes later we got a hot from the grease french fry delivery. I was worried they forgot to salt them but I was wrong! I'm glad we decided to get out of the car and go inside because if we'd have gotten those crappy fries and drove off this would have been a much different review. However since they got us new fries with no hassle and even delivered them, 4 starts it is. Not a huge fan of McDs to begin with but I do love the fries. Still would have rather had a sammich at Schatz or Mahogany though. read more

Drive thru was extremely long but it was fast paced. We were visiting this town for the first time so we needed food fast to embark unto our fishing experience. We ordered very quickly and basic (no substitutions or special request) when we get to pay the man helped up right away. The problem was receiving our food. I ordered a iced coffee drink and while she handed me the drink it spilled all over my hand. This could've been prevented if the lady didn't fill the cup. She then asked us to park since they were making fresh hash browns. We parked and in minutes we received our food. I understand why they park us. It's fo ensure they "speed" is reflected with the timers they have. That isn't my problem here. The manager came out to deliver the food and when I asked her nicely for some ketchup she looked and said did you ask for some at the window? I said I Believe so and she storms off grabs us several ketchup pouches (there was only 2 of us) then we said have a great day and thank you. She didn't reply to us and walked off. Why!? I have been coming into this McDonald's for years and they have always been so friendly and nice and cool in here, I have come here today and now you are charging for milk with the happy meals, and the employees informed me that the new owners are now refusing to run the AC, he is trying to cut costs but living in the desert this is not the place to cut costs by stopping the AC. McDonald's are noted for cleanliness, quick service, and reliable food--ideal for travelers. Well, we were really disappointed during our stopover in Bishop. We encountered a rude counter person, a long wait for coffee and oatmeal, no cream offered or sugar visible anywhere, inedible oatmeal (one was fine, the other was like water with a little oatmeal), filthy bathroom with clogged and blocked-off toilets (and no toilet paper in at least one), flies and dried ice cream on windowsills, smeary doors.
