So happy. Migoto is the best thing to happen to Capitol Hill sushi since Belltown sushi! The taste of everything ordered was fresh and exceptional... and we ordered everything from sushi, sashimi, seaweed salad, tempura, fried oysters, shrimp, etc. OMG!! Miso soup came out piping hot...(not lukewarm like we've been used to....for like forever...lol) The service was incredible! And our favorite discovery...a terrific happy hour and you don't have to look for parking for over 15 minutes! We'll definitely be back! :) read more

This place is really great. I have had the sushi, salmon teriyaki, and chicken yakisoba. It is a great place to eat. I have never had anything that wasnt good. The service is fast, and the servers are fantastic. There is always parking available. When I was doing chemo I had a dreadful time trying to find foods that I could eat. I had chicken yakisoba at least once a week for months. I highly recommend Migoto. read more

THERE WAS A BUG IN MY SEAWEED SALAD AND THE FISH WAS AWFUL AND THEY REFUSED TO REFUND ME! I just ordered delivery from here and it was inedible. The minute I got it from the delivery driver, the smell of bad fish was already very noticeable. When I opened up the box containing the three rolls I purchased, it made me gag. It seemed to be coming mostly from the Lion roll. I've worked in restaurants for years and am very familiar with the smell of bonito flakes. They definitely shouldn't smell like rotten cat food the way these ones did. Starving, I decided to removed the Lion roll and hoped the other two were ok. Nope. I tried the Rock and Roll roll and instantly had to spit it back out because the fish tasted so bad. The Caterpillar roll was cooked so that was the only edible one. While I began eating that and my green salad and seaweed salad, I went to pick up the container the restaurant put the seaweed salad in and a little bug, like an oversized gnat, crawled from the bottom of the seaweed up the side of the box. I instinctually killed it. This bug was very obviously coming out of the box, not into it. I've had no issues with gnats so I know it wasn't from my apartment. Long story short, I called Grubhub customer service thinking it would be easiest to receive a refund through them. They contacted the restaurant and told me the restaurant said they won't refund my meal. I spent over $60 bucks on garbage sushi that I'll probably get food poisoning from. I've literally never written a yelp review because I find them so obnoxious most of the time but this was so upsetting, I didn't know what else to do. Please don't go here, it's awful. read more

Great Japanese food at a reasonable price. There is a parking lot on the south side of the restaurant. The sushi is fresh and portion sizes and large. If you're really hungry, I recommend the bento box or the beef short ribs. If you want something lighter, the calamari salad is the way to go. read more

This was maybe my fourth visit or so, and mostly because it is close to work. I have had mixed experiences here...once during a visit they were not able to accept credit cards so my friend and I were struggling with putting together enough cash to pay for our meals, and another time the service was too slow and we ended up having to make it a take out order. This most recent visit, however, seems to show that they have fixed a lot of the problems and the service was great and quick and food was tasty. The special lunch bento seemed a bit pricey at $13 but when you compare the prices of other similar food items along 12th Avenue, it's reasonable and you do get a lot of food. I am glad to see that they are doing better and hope that others will give them a second chance as there were not many customers during the lunch hour that my group visited on a Wednesday. Also note that if you have a group and want to split the check, they will do that with no problems! read more

The combination rolls were so great I had to go try it fresh at the bar. The personal touch on everything you have tried before...they take it to the next level with an attention to detail that won't be beat. We started with Miso soup...best I've ever had. Then some pot stickers that were to die for especially with their take on the dipping sauce. then we had panko fried oysters w/katsu sauce so good. The calamari salad had the perfect mixture of flavors and texture. From the dressing to the choice of greens and the peanut topping and the young squid with lots of crispy tentacles. Then we had the sashimi A... a great variety so clean and fresh. Then a rainbow roll so colorful and tasty. Don't forget to have a sake moonlight cocktail. This place is great!!! read more
