They have your normal cookie cutter eggs, bacon and toast....to a florentine benedict. The Since I don't like watery eggs, I ordered my eggs cooked fried-over-hard....thats surely not how they came out....they were more like medium. They do it right every time!! How can a spinach/cream cheese scramble, rosemary potatoes, a biscuit, raspberry marmalade and the mint/lemon water be sooooo goooood????? I visited this nice breakfast location during my visit to Los Angeles specifically Silverlake I had a great breakfast. The second time during my vacation I visited Millies and I did not have such a positive experience of course the food was good however the customer service was lacking My friend who was newly arrived & visiting LA for the first time and I were encountered by a street person. He began harassing me as we were sitting on the street eating. He had an ice cream cone in his hand and he apparently decided that I was going to be his target of harassment and continued to drip ice cream on me. I was not facing him my friend was facing him and I could see her face was beginning to get upset. I tried to politely tell him to leave and leave us alone however the person continued to harass and drip ice cream on me all The while calling me bitch etc. I finally got up to face this gentleman and let him know that I was not pleased with his presence nor his behavior and that he needed to move on . Management did nothing including our waiter. We decided to leave and received a bill (which was paid by Us) from the waiter who politely notified me that I needed to be more understanding and understand that this person was not all there and that he was probably from skid Row and that the waiter was saying he was from skid Row and understands where the guy was coming from and that I needed to understand that I politely said my profession is social work and I deal with this on a daily basis people who aren't necessarily there I reminded the waiter that his responsibility was to his patron who was obviously offended by this person he did not address that person (the offender) and instead saw my friend and I as the problem. I really like this restaurant because it has offerings vegan and veggie and otherwise and the food is very good however the management at this restaurant should've addressed the gentleman on the street and comped our meals at a minimum there was no offer of this and there was no protection for two women who are actually from out of town. I wonder if the patron were of another race not of African decent there would be more action for example if there were Latin and being harassed I'm sure that the men would've stepped in if it was a white female who was being harassed I'm sure the white men around would've stepped in none of this happened I am very sad to say I will never patronize Millies restaurant again when visiting LA. There is hardly ever a wait and when there is it is extremely short. The servers are always in a great mood and there when you need something. For such a busy restaurant it's very lowkey and homey. WOW!! Somehow, I've walked past this place so many times and haven't tried it. I finally stopped by this morning! They have an AMAZING vegan menu! I got a vegan California Eggs Benedict, and it was the best I've ever had! I sat outside and it was a perfect spot to people watch and enjoy a tasty breakfast! Scrumptious AF simple tasty fooooood. My friend got the blueberry French toast and her whole life! I got the bacon waffles with the sweetings (whipped cream, strawberries and bananas) and a monkey bread pancake! They gave me so many strawberries and bananas that I had enough left over to use for a few heavenly bites of my monkey bread pancake. Even without the strawberries and bananas though the pancake was a very nutty earthy delicious chocolates flavor and I was into it. Millie's is definitely my new go to brunch place, Thanks to Yelp! Although there is no parking in almost any of the Sunset strip restaurants, during the week it is never too difficult to find street parking. Millie's is located on Sunset Blvd., right after Golden Gate Ave., and before Maltman Ave., on your left had side heading North on Sunset. It has a huge sign and there is plenty of outdoor seating you just can't miss it. The staff are all super friendly and attentive. I had a chance to meet the owner who is so humble and sweet. The chef who I also had a chance to meet and chit-chat with is also friendly and definitely knows what he is doing because the food is amazing! They have gluten-free, Vegetarian and even vegan options. My personal favorite is the Vegetarian Benedict but to be honest I have yet to try all the options on the menu buuuuuuut I plan to lol. My brother got the Huevos Rancheros and he raved about how delicious they were. This will be a new favorite brunch spot for us! Delicious food, large portion sizes, courteous and efficient service and reasonably priced- couldn't ask for more! It's like a little neighborhood cafe with home style foods- not fancy but warm and cozy. We came on a Saturday morning and there was a pretty long line but it moved quickly- maybe 10 minutes wait. They don't make a list or take reservations, you have to wait in the line. I got the California omelette and hubby got the Usual, both of which were delicious. VEGETARIANS BEWARE I had lunch here with another vegetarian and we both found sizable chunks of meat (ham chunks and pulled pork) in our Tofu Florentine and Vegetarian Benedict and potatoes. When this was raised to a waiter he informed us that all of the food is cooked on the same stove and "What do you want me to do about it?" I was caught off guard by his blasé response and subsequently flagged over the manager. The manager on duty at the time provided similar unconcern and nonchalance when I raised the issue with him. He replied that I "should've raised this issue with my waiter" and walked off. As a vegetarian for all of my life, I have never been treated with worse customer service. I can only hope that the response I would've gotten from raising a medical condition would have been met with better service. For a restaurant that offers many vegetarian options, it was disconcerting to find that these dishes are not treated with different care and that there is no note on the menu about the treatment of vegetarian dishes. I will not return to this restaurant as I do not know what is cooked into the food I order. May this serve as a warning to other eaters. read more

They used to saute them on the stove so that each piece was crisped and cooked just right. It was that way for years. I think going on a weekday is the best time(seems like there's a lot of complaints during the weekends for long line). My bf is a HUGE fan of Mexican food(the real deal, not the fusion or Americanized), he ordered the Machaca it was super good and flavorful. They also give you a side of fresh tortilla.
