The worst service we've had in years. There were many empty tables around us. I counted 6 tables that came in after our party of two that were served before us. Not good. The server is in the wrong business. Her communication skills would be better on an assembly line. I spoke to the owner about the :30minute wait for food, the server that told me that the service is better during the week, and the food that never came for my wife. He could only boast about how great everything was last Sunday, when we weren't there! I'm sure the place is full of friends of the owner that will go there no matter how their treated, because he sure didn't give a damn about me or my wife or the people sitting next to us that got the wrong meal twice. Bad service and a bad attitude by the server and owner. There are SO many other GREAT choices for restaurants in Tucson, they won't see my hard earned money again. And, when anyone of the thousands of people that I, and my employees, come in contact with at my advertising agency, ask where to go for a great breakfast or lunch, we sure won't recommend Millie's Pancake Haus. read more

Went for the first time this morning and loved everything about Millie's! The beef noodle soup was well flavored, the biscuits & gravy were awesome and the German pancake was fabulous too! The apples are fresh and the cinnamon sauce was tasty without being too sweet. Everything was homemade! I recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants a hearty breakfast at a fair price. read more

We were visiting from out of town and were really excited to go to a Hometown Café. The service was extremely slow for a holiday weekend. They messed up the order and the food was brought to the table cold. We would probably try it one more time and hope for better results. We are Tucson natives. read more

We love Millie's. Whether it is all the warm remembrances or the very homey interior, it is lovely.. And always satisfying. About six months ago, I was told there was a complete reversible diagnosis of a life threatening health issue. We left my appointment full of joy! The family and I have been here several times. Unfortunately we won't be going back. I always give places 3 times. Today the server was rude and slow. Tables that arrived after us with a different server were getting served their breakfast before us. Coffee came out without cream and several minutes later the cream came, after I asked nicely. Eggs were cold, turkey sausage came after I asked again. I asked for warm eggs, pancakes were ok, not like they used to be. It was not that busy, she made the excuse that they had just got a rush of orders. Did not leave a good tip, just what was deserved. I always leave great tips, sad we won't be going back. Eat pancakes and be merry! There is nothing on this menu I wouldn't eat. The only bad thing is it is pretty far away from my house and I sometimes forget that it is in town. It has become a place I go to after planning in advance with others but it is so worth driving across town to eat their yummy pancakes. read more

I ate there with my family this weekend. Our service was worse than awful. We waited forever for our food. After 45 minutes we complained because we were on a tight schedule and everyone around us sat, ordered, ate and left while our waitress was no where to be seen. The manager's response to our complaint: "sorry, these things do happen." I realize people make mistakes and we were ready to leave it alone, but the managers "I don't care" was very hard to accept. No offer to make it up or comp a juice, nothing. If we hadn't spoken up, we may still be waiting for service. I have a very large family in tucson. I used to like Millies. Heard a lot about this place, and recently moved into the neighborhood so thought we would give it a try, Yuck! On the plus side, we were seated quickly, place was clean. On the negative side, there are many, Our server had no personality what so ever, never even cracked a smile, it was as if he was 1/2 asleep. Home fries were few and barely warm, I ordered the Pacific omelet, fresh ingreds, spinach, mushrooms, onions and Swiss cheese. However, the onions were not even cooked, being completely raw, they over powered the entire omelet, I picked all of them out. My feeling is if all the other things in the omelet were cooked and hot the onions should be as well! I had an English muffin, that was barely toasted, barely warm. My friend had the apple cinnamon swirl French toast, two very sad looking pieces of bread on a plate and nothing else, very poor presentation, and taste was just Meh. All the food here is delicious! I'm a big fan of the french toast and omelettes. The homemade bread takes the french toast to a whole new level! The interior is really cute too, very old fashioned and homey. read more

Great little local breakfast spot! The restaurant is very quaint and has a certain charm to it. The menu was a little larger than I was expecting for a pancake house, but the food was great. I had the chocolate chip pancakes and my husband had the blueberry pancakes, both good and very filing! It was our first time visiting though and I wish our waitress would have asked because we felt very rushed to order while we were still looking over the menu. The food is always yummy but the service is always slow. Drinks are so small and you can run out of an ice tea with two gulps.

Lets start with one thing,the coffee.if i wanted coffee like theirs i would have gone and bought some great value coffee from walmart.Now to the food,i had woken up no more than an hour.got there,drank a nice cup of dollar tree coffee and ordered a rubin,no side.I knew about there fresh baked goods,but a rubin sound quite fine.the wait was not too long and waitress was New England patriots fan.My rubin had finally arrived and the first thing i noticed was its portion size,it was perfect,and the first bite took the cake.the bread fresh baked,the meat not to wet or dry,the right amount of kraut,and not to much sauce.It was perfection. read more

Today was my first time at this restaurant and it will be my last. We recently moved to Tucson, my husband's home town, and he's been trying to show me all the Tucson gems. Too bad this restaurant isn't one of them. We arrived at 9:00 am on Friday and it was not very busy and ordered quickly. It seemed like a charming little pancake house. We waited patiently for our breakfast to arrive. We did not order anything special, just eggs and pancakes. My husband ordered coffee and in the 50 minutes we were there they filled it once and our server never checked on us. At 9:40 we inquired finally flagged down our server to inquired about our food. Almost everyone who came into the restaurant after us had been served. By 9:50, my daughter, husband and I were starving. When I got up and told the woman at the register what was going on she chuckled an " I am sorry" at me. I told her I didn't think it was funny and asked to speak with the manager. He came out and didn't apologize or seem to care. My husband asked to pay for coffee, the only thing we consumed while the manager stood there like a big doofus, his mouth gaping open, repeating over and over again," I can see your food is up now". He was clueless as to our experience and was accusatory in his tone. We walked out. Needless to say, this was the worst breakfast experience. If you have more than an.hour to wait and see how the food is, then good for you. The customer service at this place is nonexistent. read more

We ate here today and I would not recommend this place unless I was starving and could not drive another inch befor collapsing. Plan on waiting a long time for your silverware even after you ask for it twice. If your excited to see they bake fresh bread here and you enthusiasticly purchase some and ask them so slice it for you, plan on waiting another 10 to 15 minutes befor they bring it back to you. Plan on being aggressive when trying to pay your bill, or some arrogant entitled will sneak behind you to the front of the line while the employees take his check and let him pay his bill befor they bother to look at who already has been standing in line for 5 to 10 minutes. It's not worth the affordable yet limited breakfast they serve. My suggestion is to go any place else. My suggestion to owner/manager is that you have a weekly employee meeting to remind your emploees to be more mindful. read more

This was the worst food I've had in ages. I mean truly awful. The ac wasn't working and the place was thick with flies, not an appetizing scenario in and of itself. I ordered an omelet with very explicit instructions as to how I wanted it cooked. Alas, it was overdone and inedible, so I sent it back and decided to go with the patty melt, thinking there was no way the pathetic cook could screw that up. I was mistaken. It was just nasty. Cole slaw consisted of chopped cabbage and some runny white stuff which was neither slaw dressing nor mayo-I don't really know what it was. No seasonings and completely tasteless. Potato pancake was served cold and greasy. I complained on the way out, and then had to deal with a rude and disrespectful young man, since the young woman on the register didn't feel competent to manage my dissatisfaction on her own and went to fetch reinforcements.
