Our family decided to do a mini road trip up to Disneyland and I'm a huge fan of Mongolian food. So my husband found this place on IG and I'm so happy he did because every time we go to Disneyland now we have to stop for Mongolian food. It so yummy, although the neighborhood looks a bit sketchy and the plaza isn't so friendly. I just have to say that it's worth the drive. I love the fact that the restaurant is very clean and is well taken care of. Everything is refrigerated and simple to order. My favorite is the beef plate and it's self serve. I found this spot on Yelp as one of the few standalone Mongolian restaurants. It has a mom and pops feel to it but trust me once you eat your food your going to be mad at yourself for not discovering it earlier. It's in a low-key shopping center with a supermarket conveniently located nearby. The food - it has all the feeling of your favorite mongolian spot but with way more ingredients and more variation. I've been coming here for some years now and I've been meaning to talk about how great this place is! This place is pretty simple you get a choice of meat ranging from pork, beef, chicken, shrimp (this one being extra) and from there you choose your veggies and sauces. Be warned though they will one accept what is in the bowl they give you with the meat. Luckily they have gloves so you can push down to make sure you get all the fixings. They add noodles and there's your plate. The gentleman on the grill does a great job cooking and making sure the grill is clean (sometimes a burnt crisp makes it into the food but for me it's a no biggie). There are a few places to sit and the room has been remodeled so it's a lot more modern inside. Best Mongolian I've had. I've tried both the tofu and beef and it's delicious every time. They let you add your ingredients and tell you what to add for flavor and spice level, so it's pretty difficult to not get something to your liking. Food is fresh and hot and comes with a side of rice in your container. They also have some homemade aguas in strawberry and pineapple; both are really good! Workers are nice and friendly. That's always a plus. Only comment I'd say is I wish they had a couple more tongs to grab veggies with. There's mixing which I personally don't mind but my husband got a small piece of cilantro in his bowl. He did not add cilantro lol. We still ate the whole thing so it's merely a suggestion. I was drawn to this place by Social Media. I will be as Blunt and Honest as possible. This review was on a weekday at about 5:30 PM THE GOOD. The food is on point and cooked right. The Price is on point. Lot of side options. Rice is included in your container Good parking. Strip Mall style THE BAD "CASH ONLY" BUT remedied with an ATM machine inside however there will be fees to withdraw money from this ATM machine. Which the business gets. You don't get to dictate how much meat comes with your bowl the bowl is handed to you. when they ask what kind of meat you want they put a predetermined amount of meat in the bowl only the accessories and the sides you can put on. jalapeños , peppers, onions lettuce etc. etc.. they do ask you what kind of meat you want and they do give you the option if you want half chicken half beef or vice versa. Minimal staff which I can't really strike them for ' cause in this pandemic every business has minimal staff but the cashier is always running around to get your meat from the back and there is a lady in the back most likely the mother which she cuts the meat and puts it in the bowls ready to serve to the guest but you don't see that cause the cashier runs to the back to get your bowl to hand off to you. You can pile on your sides just like if you were eating at the mall. This is what really hurts the business. "THE WAIT". There is only 1 cook. Even though he is good and on point. He does one Dish at a time when you hand your bowl to him through the window. If there was a second cook or if he did two dishes at a time which there is room on the grill it would cut down on the wait time.considerably. Once you get your food you can sit down and they have all the hot sauces and soy sauce as you want which is kind of cool small dining room but it's a small place so you can't really knock them for that. Also there's no fountain drinks you purchase a can of soda which isn't a bad thing but if you're gonna be waiting for your food and it's summertime and he gets hot you're gonna want unlimited refills specially if your dining in that would be a feather in this businesses cap. I wouldn't recommend coming on your lunch hour because It will take you about half hour just to get your food if you have to wait in line to get your food cooked and the dinner Rush is also horrible but if you have the patience than this place is for you. Once I got there I was disappointed to see there were only 3 very small tables and they were all taken. If you plan to come eat here most likely you will not find anywhere to sit.
