Walked in here with my husband mind you I'm pregnant and it was late at night, was seated for 15 min without any help not even water being presented to us, when we asked for assistance the waitress looked dumbfounded, waited another 5 min and decided to walk out. I had breakfast there this morning with my son his wife and two toddlers. The waitress who served us was working like a demon and was extraordinarily efficient and kind. we were there for a late breakfast, and we ordered different dishes which were equally attractive and delicious. I had two eggs sunny side up with turkey sausage and bacon with rye toast along with a side of corn beef hash. My son and daughter in law had omelettes, most delicious. The experience I had upon taking my family to this diner was, one I had never been through, this evening of 2/20/21. The food was horribly over cooked as well as old. I returned 2 dishes (Spaghetti and old meatballs/ and overcooked sampler which consisted of overcooked nearly burnt chicken wings, chicken tenders and mozzarella sticks accompanied by hard french fries) due to this issue. I tried ordering other 2 dishes (funny spoiled tasting ceasar salad and nacho chips ) which I wasn't yet again "SATISFIED". To this inconsistency, I tried returning back the salad, and was informed they could not do that. So I was mandated to pay the bill for something that I wasn't satisfied with. I Spoke with the manager which was of NO HELP AT ALL! So again , I paid a $62 bill for food and service that was distasteful. I didn't even give the waiter a tip, which I NEVER DO! Because I feel everyone should get paid for work or services they provide- but the OVERALL service was 2 thumbs down- NO STARS!!!! I really hope that a "FOOD CRITIC" would pop up and see what this restaurant is providing to their customers. read more

Food was just ok. I brought my mom for breakfast. I had french toast and sausage with OJ that came in what equates to a shot glass. Service was just ok. I don't know how this place gets above 1 star. It used to have great food way back in the day but over the passed few years it has fallen off in a major way. Today I went for breakfast. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese on a toasted bagel. When it came it looked good. I had taken a bite of 2 fries before I started to eat the sandwich. I go to lift it up and notice a hair on the bagel. Then I open up the bagel and see another piece of hair in there. I decided to open the other half and sure enough there was an even longer hair in there stuck between the eggs and bagel itself. We asked for a manager and showed him. He said sorry as he was clearing the plate away. We just left. At the front as we were walking out, we saw the owner and told him nicely and he opened his mouth not with an apology but with an excuse saying- these things happen. No, they don't happen if your establishment has people wear hair nets when they cook and take proper precautions to make sure the food your patrons receive is clean and hair free. The servers gave me the wrong order, and you have to specify that the omelettes have cheese. Furthermore, the hot chocolate tastes like water instead of chocolate. Also its very loud and the smell is strange. Its not terrible but I don't recommend. read more

AVOID this place at all costs! I recently ate at this place for the 2nd time, ordering the same plate (calamari). The first indication of something being wrong is when the server said on a busy afternoon "we don't have any soda, fountain or can". I stayed with the water which tasted as if the ice machine was never cleaned. The food arrived and the calamari tasted as if it was deep fried in the same grease as the bacon, hard chewy and not good. The plate of the person with me had strange things in it so it went back to the kitchen and nothing replaced it. The place was hot and it took them a while to turn on the ac. Upon exiting the manger (I guess) asked how was the food and I said "lousy" he replied "great thanks for coming come again". I would strongly not recommend this place to man or beast! Great service. Went with a group of 20 on a Sunday late morning. Called ahead to let them know we had a big group. Everything was set up when we got there. Waiters took orders right away. Food came out fast and correct. Nobody had any complaints. read more

The worst service. Our food took at least an hour to come. When it did come, it was extremely cold and the smallest portions I have seen ever, not to mention how expensive it was already. I went there with my son to take out Philly cheese steak sandwich. It was absolutely disgusting and not worth the price at all. I asked for a wedge, which is what Philly cheese steaks usually are made of, but all I got was some very tough, thickly sliced boiled beef with no flavor on a kaiser roll. The best part of the meal was pickle on the side. It was truly gross even if it was free and I was paid to eat it, I would not ever eat it ever in my life. worst possible sandwich. Terrible experience with the owner, or whoever it was at the front desk, who could not keep his racist comments to himself. He insulted our religion and culture, and kept stating one stereotype after another while laughing it off and trying to act like he was 'informing' us about ourselves. He said he 'was Greek so he knows a lot about people like us in his country.' This is besides the mess that they caused while my friends and I were trying to split the bill. I also came here a previous time before today's visit, where they messed up our order and charged us for the mistake THEY made. I regret giving them a second chance today. Simply horrible. Our server was rude and had an attitude the whole time. I understand people are going through things but she was very nice to others who were white like her. My family felt uncomfortable the whole time, the food was not great either. My son was complaining of stomach pains after leaving there. For a late night, random diner bite, Mont Olympos was sufficient. The service was ok. But the food was mediocre. The chili wasn't exactly what I thought I would get, which was a bowl of beans. The chicken parm was a pretty big portion with slightly overcooked pasta. If you don't have super high expectations, Mont Olympos isn't too bad. However, the likelihood of returning is slim to none for me. :( read more

Last Sat night ( 9/17/16 ) was a night to forget here at the Mont Olympos. First of all, the owner looks like the Crypt keeper. Ok now for the review: When we first arrived they wanted to put us at a tight table in the back. Bad idea 1. Next I ordered a French Onion soup and a bacon Cheeseburger deluxe. The waitress didn't bring the soup out first. As I am being served my burger, she goes I'm bringing your soup out now. I was like "no that's ok" I thought soups were supposed to come out first, then the meal. Who brings soup out with the meal? never heard of that. Then the main event of the evening. My wife orders chicken quesadillas. They looked amazing......until....wait for it....she notices a dead fly in one of the quesadillas. Are you freakin kidding me? what started out as a great night turned into a disaster because we had to go to this repulsive diner. The owner took off 3 meals! Big deal! still won't come here ever again! This makes the White plains coach diner look good. We will never be going here again. read more

do not leave a tip at the table at this diner! the tip will apparently be added automatically to your credit card charge, so you will have tipped twice. when confronted with the fact that my credit card statement had a higher charge than what i had signed for, they claimed not to know why at first, but after more nonsensical thoughts about why this happened, stated that the extra charge was the tip. they had no answer when i explained that i had told the cashier that the tip had been left at the table. they essentially denied that the credit card people only list what the vendor sends them. whether this is an attempt to cheat the customer or plain stupidity, i don't know. i had to go back to the diner in person and was then given the extra money in cash. read more

Up until Sunday, this diner had been a favorite of my family, friends, and myself. We often celebrated holidays like Christmas Day at Mont Olympus - the food was better than average for a diner and we received good value. We also often requested to be seated in the area where "Noreen" would be our waitress - she is an excellent waitress. However, on Sunday evening (June 22, 2014) 2 things occurred which changed our view of this diner. First, we had concluded our meal and were finishing our drinks when someone in our party spilled her soda. A waitress passed by our table (not Noreen) and observed the situation. Instead of offering assistance in cleaning up the spill, she said "Oh well, you were almost finished anyway" and left our area. She never came back to help, not did she send anyone else to help us. We continued to try to contain the spill on the table as best we could with paper napkins. A few others walked around us but no one assisted. We finally had to get up and get someone to help. Zero Customer Service. Second, although this did not have to do with the diner aspect, it does reflect on the attitude of management towards their customers. While others in my party were finishing gathering their stuff, etc., I decided to walk over to the NY Lottery machine located next to the diner's cashier area. I put in $3.00 - I pressed the $1 button for Mega Million and got my printed ticket. I then pressed the $2 button for the Powerball choice. This request the machine would not process. After following the machine's further instructions, it completely shut down but gave a message on its LED screen to "contact the Retailer." One of the owners of the diner was behind the counter by the cash machine which is next to the Lottery machine in question. When I requested assistance, I was basically dismissed and told that he could do nothing for me and that I had to contact NY Lottery. I asked how I could do that but he would not give me ANY assistance. He basically left me standing there and he walked away. Another member of my party came forward and requested that as "good customer service" he should refund my $2.00. Another owner came forward and he said too that they could do nothing for me. My repeated requests for, at least information as to who or how to reach NY Lottery, went on deaf ears. Finally, the second owner took $2 out of his own pocket and gave me the money. The initial owner told him NOT to ever do that again for any customer. This was not a matter of the $2 - it was the owners' complete dismissal of myself and my party, frequent patrons of their establishment. There was no effort at apologizing for the broken machine IN THEIR PREMISES or an offer to at least give me the information I would need to get a refund from NY Lottery. Neither I nor any of my family or friends will ever patronize this establishment again. read more

OMG, never and I mean never will I ever go here again. 30 min after being seated, someone finally served water in dirty glasses. 40 min after being, still no one to take our drinks or food order. During this time, 5 other tables were seated, drinks served and orders taken. I was there with my 2 daughters and I actually saw a table of 8 or 9 be seated about 15 min after we got there and they got their food yet we haven't even been asked what we would like to drink. We were the only minority group there and we were completely ignored while all those literally sitting at the next table were all taken care of. I used this experience to teach my daughters that discrimination and racism still exists. I will never eat here again, and if your reading this, white, black, asian, spanish, I recommend you don't give this business another cent of your hard earned money. I was looking forward all day to have dinner here on Saturday, at first I was going to not write on my experience but my experience was so bad I couldn't let go. This place has been around a long time; I moved here last year and this is 3rd and probably the last time I will go here. Diner not too busy on Saturday night, first indication not good thing, waitress came over ordered drinks, then went down hill from here. Ordered dinner, the husband ordered a full dinner, waited patiently for the bread, no salad for awhile, I asked about salad she said waiting for salad to be cutup (really this is a saturday in a dinner), never asking to refill our seltzer water, ordered salisbury steak, says should have mushrooms/onions on it, they brought a big hamburger without the bun, ordered mashed potatoes but when she brought the dinner she said no mashed potatoes (really this a saturday night in a diner) no apologies! My husband didn't want me to complain; left her a full tip because I had to forgive this experience and she probably will not be making her complete tips this evening because everyone around us seemed to be having a problem tonight, we are probably kinder than most, but WE WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN, and since there are so many places to eat within a couple of miles eating out will not be problem. read more
