They accomplish their mission- a whimsy donut store with fun and vibrant themes I've been following them on social media for awhile and have been dying to come. The staff member was super kind and I was grateful to try some creative treats! I love the decor of the place, so I highly recommend coming for the photo opportunity with a cute donut and bright colored seating. I think the donuts are a tad bit too expensive for the quality of flavors/dough. I think they are trying so much fun ideas - and I love that- can't wait for them to stick the landing on a few more to really knock the execution of each donut in their line up out of the park! The designs are already spot on.
Heard about this place on my socials and they were doing themed doughnuts from one of my favorite movies. I preordered online which was simple and easy. Went the next day and pickup was easy. A wide selection of fun doughnuts. Customer service was great and friendly. There are four tables to dine inside . Parking might be a challenge but nothing too crazy. My 6 doughnuts + tax was $41.00 . The doughnuts were decorated so nice and fun. They were all delicious.
Moonbridge goes above and beyond with their menus. They're always changing it up and offering the cutest and most creative designs I have ever seen. And I appreciate that it's not at the expense of the quality of the donut. Their biscoff crumb donut is so satisfying and non-greasy, just how I always wanted my donuts to be. Sometimes regular fried donuts have that bad aftertaste or gives me immediate regret. Yeah theyre not the cheapest donuts but the prices are reasonable for how much time and work are put into them. I also have been here during their Animal Crossing event, where you can buy cute stationary from artists, and a fundraiser for immigrant rights. I loooove how they also engage the community and use their platform for good. This place is a wonderful gem of the Long Beach community.
I'm over the moon about these donuts. It's a fun place to explore a unique variety of sweets. I tried their citrus apple fritter and loved the subtle tartness and crunchiness. I'd recommend it for getting someone special a special treat. Their coffee choices are good too. I had a very good cortado. Plus they have cute swag.
Fabulous VEGAN donut selection: the dough is vegan, the toppings can have dairy. See the attached menu for their vegan selections: also ask for seasonal vegan. These donuts are huge. The apple fritters are my favorite. Great gift for your lactose intolerant friends!! Bourgeois prices, but worth it. Small parking lot, which is usually fine, but kind of a nightmare during tax season for my friends next door, Aragon, Santillan, & Associates (review forthcoming) whenever Moonbridge had their lines-round-the-block pop-up events.
A solid 4 stars. I discovered this shop passing thru LB and did a TGTG order and was very pleased. Their donuts are around $5-7 each so it s a bit higher than the donuttery (and comparable to ole ferry). They make raised donuts with a doughy and fluffy consistency which is excellent. And the best part is none of them are filled because that's not my preference. Reid the glaze donut and a strawberry corn flake donut and they were both excellent in texture without being too sweet! Very excited for the savory onion donut and the ganache matcha one.
I've been meaning to check this place out for a while after seeing all their themed donuts on my feed, and I'm glad I finally got the chance to stop by. Walking in, the space feels bright and open with a few tables where you can sit and enjoy your treats. The shop is colorful, smells amazing, and has a fun vibe overall. Service was great too. It was a little slow, but there was only one person working when I came in, so totally understandable. I tried the coffee & cigarettes donut along with a mocha cold brew, and both were really good. The donut itself is a brioche donut with a coffee-flavored glaze, topped with a fake cigarette that tastes kind of like a Pocky stick. The coffee flavor definitely comes through, and I swear there was a subtle smokiness to it too. Maybe it was just the theme getting to me, but either way it tasted oddly nostalgic in the best way. I also tried the banana maple donut, which was delicious and definitely the more classic option of the two. The mocha cold brew was great as well. Smooth, not overly sweet, and the perfect pairing with the donuts. Overall, this spot is worth checking out. The donuts are a little pricier than your average shop, but I'd happily come back for the cold brew alone and to see what creative flavors they come up with next.
YAY!! Finally made the trip out to try these popular doughnuts!! They've been poppin off on Instagram and we always see their cool collabs but didn't get to try them till this past weekend. We definitely had to make it out for the new pokemon ones since the new Winds and Waves game got announced. We placed a pickup order online a few days prior to secure our order. Lots of traffic and ended up taking 1.5 hrs to get there compared to our usual 45 minute transit. They provide a pickup time for you to choose as well so it worked out perfectly. We got there, parking lot is easy, a bit small but still handles a good amount of cars. We walked in and told the nice young lady our online order pickup name, also grabbed a few extra individual ones that were available at the time, and enjoyed!! Smooth and easy process, it was fantastic. Highly recommend!! We took it to an outdoor food spot to enjoy but also took the rest home to enjoy throughout the weekend. The doughnut texture is perfect and the flavors are wild and unique! I definitely preferred the more basic flavors like Strawberry (Ditto) and Salted Vanilla (Staryu) but the other flavors were still fun to try! They were almost too cute to eat lol. Love this place, definitely more on the expensive side (maybe like $40 total) but worth it!! Can't wait to come back for their other collabs!! IG: @ammysalamii
Moonbridge Doughnut Studio is a doughnut shop in Long Beach that features themed doughnuts. Doughnuts run about $6.50 each. When you spend $13 for two doughnuts, it's pretty extraordinary; however, in my opinion, the flavor and textures of the doughnuts were pretty ordinary. This "doughnut studio" is more about the creativity of their instagrammable doughnut art; however, my two-star review reflects my feeling that I care more about flavor than aesthetic, particularly if a single doughnut costs more than $6. I hope that you enjoy their donuts more than I do. If you want to enjoy their beautifully decorated doughnuts, then you should follow their IG @moonbridgedoughnuts so that you could find their doughnut themes that strike your fancy.
The CUTEST donuts ever!! and they taste great! The texture of the donuts is nice and stayed pretty fresh tasting after a day. The donuts are all normal bases and the flavors come through on the frosting glazes. Definitely some interesting flavors that surprised me that were great -- loved the Blue Raspberry (Squirtle) and Honey Lemon (Psyduck). Definitely recommend for cutie donuts + great taste!
ONE OF MY FAVORITE SWEET TREAT SPOTS! I'm a semi-regular at Moonbidge and I highly recommend it to any donut lovers (or people who love unique flavors in desserts). Firstly, staff is always polite and understanding and they are always very well versed on the different donut flavor options. Moonbridge always has a rotation of different flavors and themes depending on what's going on locally or what's trendy in the world. The donuts themselves are beautiful, fluffy, and delicious and I've basically never had one I didn't enjoy. I'm happy to continue supporting this awesome local business! Also, the inside of the store is so adorable and feels like walking into a gorgeously decorated pastel coffee shop. They also have a ton of cute merch.
Moonbridge is amazing! If you're looking for a cute, whimsical, inclusive, and great quality donut shop. This is it! They were so kind to me when I came in to pick up two orders of their special Animal Crossing donuts. I had placed an order ahead of time and came in during a rush. They only had one order ready and were getting the second one ready which was going to take about 10-15 minutes. Since I had to wait, they were kind enough to give me complimentary donut holes (that I was totally willing to pay for btw!). Not only was the shop cute, and their service great, the donuts were so fresh and so delicious. I'll definitely be coming back for their Pokemon collab. Thanks Moonbridge!
Moonbridge is truly unlike any other donut shop I've been to, and that's not a statement I take lightly at all. First and foremost, the Wes Anderson inspired interior is beautiful. From an artistic standpoint, the interior design is gorgeous and the color palette is memorable. There's also a handful of merch in the back corner, as well as original artwork plastered on the walls. I'm a raised donut girly through and through, so I ordered the chocolate sprinkles and Vietnamese coffee. (and the sprinkles are made in-house! How cool is that?) The donuts are hefty in size and even just one donut is sharable. The quality and size of the donuts absolutely justified the price. The raised donuts are pillowy yet chewy, and the glazes are flavorful but don't outshine the donuts themselves (in a good way). I didn't get a chance to try their drinks yet but I'd be delighted to next time. The staff are super sweet and it's clear they love helping out customers. I am not a donut person but the donuts here are so good. Not only are the donuts decorated so cute and unique, the donuts themselves are fluffy and not too sweet. The studio itself is clean and the staff are super friendly. The specialty donuts sell out fast so you have to get there early if you want a chance to get the more popular flavors. We went during southeast Asian week and we were super bummed they ran out of the yellow Thai curry one. The Thai tea, vietamenese coffee, and lychee jasmine one were so good. Highly recommend coming there and trying the donuts here if you are in the area. read more
Moonbridge Doughnut Studio is truly a special place for doughnut lovers and pop culture fans alike! They have the cutest, most unique doughnuts I have ever seen!!! I give them an A+ for their effort and creativity in regard to their designs and flavors, both in their donuts and drinks. I have been wanting to try this place for a while since I keep seeing videos on Tiktok. They've done various themed doughnuts including Avatar the Last Airbender, Studio Ghibli, and Sailor Moon. I was fortunate to finally go while they're having their Pokemon themed doughnuts! Today, I got a variety to try - Gengar (ube coconut icing, chocolate), Mimikyu (salted citrus icing, chocolate), Sinistcha (matcha icing, salted malted vanilla icing, coffee icing, chocolate filled waffle cone), Meowth (salted malted vanilla icing, chocolate), and an apple fritter. I also tried their Pokemon themed drink, the Alcremie milk (corn milk with strawberry cold foam and salted mascarpone whip). I might have to try more items on their menu, but from tasting everything I got, I found their food is really sweet and sugary (including the corn milk) and I'm only able to have a few bites at a time. Aside from that, the place itself has nice decorations on the inside as well as cute merchandise to buy. I highly recommend going to Moonbridge for their Instagram worthy doughnuts!!! read more

I had the pleasure of trying Moon Bridge last weekend, and it's a bummer that I don't live closer to enjoy these delightful creations more often! First off, I'm a classic chocolate glazed donut kinda girl, and wow! I was impressed at the decadence of their chocolate glaze. Dreamy. Which is also a word I would use to describe the color scheme and ambiance of the shop itself. It has a Wes Anderson flair and your eyes just want to take everything in. Every detail of the shop and donuts carefully curated for your experience, down to the handmade sprinkles on the donuts and the interesting artwork to look at on the walls. This was a bucket list stop since I live in LA, and I wasn't disappointed. To the people who are complaining on price, well, this isn't like most donut shops. Clearly it's an artisan bakery where a lot of love and work go into each and every donut. Not mass produced and the glazes taste like real ingredients, not cheap flavorings. I think the price is fair. I went with a friend and we tried 4x donuts in store with yummy lattes, and then I took another 6x home to some friends but with the stipulation we would share so I would get to try each of them! For me, the stars were the Chocolate with homemade Sprinkles, Campfire Pancake (maple icing with smoked paprika honeycomb dust), Mexican Hot Chocolate, Strawberry, and the vegan Raspberry. The base of the donuts were all fluffy and light and each glaze was SO GOOD. Hope you give them a try! I know I'll be back. read more

A boutique donut shop. This isn't where you go to grab a couple of dozen for the office on any given work day. (Unless you're just that generous, in which case, well done you!) Donuts are beautifully designed, with interesting ingredients and flavor combos. Practically every pastry is a conversation piece, so bear that in mind when you see prices in the $4-5 range if bought as a single pastry. They have pricing posted as $20 for half a dozen and $40 for a dozen. Bear in mind that donuts are a labor of love, not quick conveyor belt productions, so they are made in limited numbers. (I can see these being something I'd order ahead of time as a unique and beautiful dessert for a baby or bridal shower.) So, the later in the day you arrive, the more likely you are to encounter limited supplies. Plan accordingly and don't ding the business for not having unlimited amounts of something so specialized. I love the quality over quantity mentality. I'm more a savory person, so although I do enjoy their donuts, my favorite thing to grab here is a beautifully produced cup of matcha. This isn't a pre-mix with a bunch of sweetener in it. It is the real deal, unsweetened, made with the bowl and brush. Very good! It's a small place with just a couple of tables inside and outside. So, you can hang out with a friend drinking your matcha and enjoying your donut but it's primarily a "to go" place. Whether you choose to stay or go, take a beat to enjoy the cute, cozy, well decorated space. They were definitely thoughtful in their decorating choices and the space is, as we say, very Instagramable! The people working at the counter are welcoming and friendly, patient with us patrons who take some time ooh'ing and awww'ing at all their unique offerings. These are by far the best donuts I have ever enjoyed! Not only do they taste delicious but they are works of art, as well. The menu changes frequently so you have to follow them on the socials. This shop definitely wins in the cute donut shop category. Unfortunately, this is where the excitement ends. Tried the blueberry pie, apple fritter, almond citrus poppy seed, campfire pancake, and strawberry glaze and they were just OK for me. I'm a fan of old fashioned donuts but the almond citrus just didn't do it for me. It had an odd texture. I really wish I could have tried the Vietnamese coffee donut as it sounded the most promising of the bunch. Also, ordered 2 flavored iced matchas and was quite shocked at how small it was for $7.50. One thing I did like is the strawberry matcha tasted like they used fresh strawberries as opposed to artificial syrups. Verdict: probably won't return. As others have stated, there are other better tasting and priced donuts near the area. read more

The new donut shop on the block and they definitely didn't disappoint. They use a brioche dough which makes this place unique to Long Beach and I am here for it. Got there around 930am and had to wait about 20 minutes to order because the place was busy and stayed busy the whole time I was there. The original glaze donut is absolute peak donut perfection Strawberry glaze had strong fresh strawberry flavor, raspberry cruller was surprisingly soft and eggy, campfire was maple deliciousness, Vietnamese coffee had a touch of coffee flavor, blueberry fritter was sweet and bits of blueberry which I enjoyed. However, the almond citrus poppyseed, while having a great lemon flavor, was dry and the 5 spice coffee I ordered was lukewarm at best and didn't have much spice flavoring other than cinnamon. I came for the Moonbridge x liliuhms collab, and I was seriously blown away by how committed this donut shop was to the collaboration. Both the inside and outside of the store were thoroughly themed with merchandise, decals, and props for plenty of photo opportunities, and the donut case was fully stocked with collab donuts! The themed donuts (at least for this event) were $7 each, while the other donuts were $3.50-$4.00. My party picked up all 6 collab donuts along with the vietnamese coffee donut, and they were great! We came in at around 12 but they were still fresh and chewy, all yeast donuts that were neither too dense nor too dry. In the order that we tried them: - "Roscoe's field of dreams" was covered in strawberry wafer and pandan shortbread crumbs, and was in my top two. The strawberry flavor really shines through! - "Bleppe's tongue twister" was an orange and white cat themed donut that tasted like an orange! - "Wonderful, the apricot" was an orange tiger themed donut, and while it was super delicious, I couldn't really taste apricot, but the spices were really nice. - "Lily lemon yuzhu" had a bright lemon flavor that was a nice addition to the citrusy lineup. - "Clown bun buddy" used brown sugar miso pineapple icing, which was sooooo yummy and my personal favorite. It was such a complex pineapple flavor, not artificial or too sweet at all. - "Bungo lassi" was mango and cardamom with biscoff crumbs, and it was really delicious in a way I couldn't really explain. The flavor profile was similar to the apricot donut, using both fruit and spices, but it was much more complex and we really enjoyed the unusual combo. Overall, each donut was so beautiful and put together with so much care and skill, and looked identical to the photos on instagram. They all tasted fresh and sweet without being artificial or cloying like low quality fruity icing can tend to be in other places. The employee who took our order was so patient and friendly, and gave us a separate box for the clown donut because the cone hat prevents the original box from completely closing. Moon Bridge Donuts. Not our cup of tea but maybe someone else's. Dough was just like cold day old bread, warmed them up at home and the family just didn't like the dough. Not gonna knock them for someone else, everyone's tastes are different. I had the apple fritter, no apple and pretty boring, kids had original glazed, they didn't like the dough part either, glaze itself tasted yummy. Also, yes the Donuts are more than normal Donuts but not bad for a treat if your looking for a splurge treat, only if it's your cup of tea that is. Spring and Palo Verde. read more

Tried this place early Sunday morning and that's the time to go. Some foot traffic but not yet crazy busy. Got two donuts - strawberry and raspberry - totaled over $11! Cha-ching! Asked the staff some deets on a few of the donuts to decide and one of them said they hadn't tried any yet because they always sell out. So... good on the selling out, BUT share a few bites so these sellers can SELL! The good...strawberry was the best of the two by far. Nice strawberry taste in the glaze, not overly sweet and the dough was light. Yum. The not as good... the raspberry. Fruit taste was good but this was more like a cross between light and cake. A bit heavier than a classic donut. Not a standout. I think there is potential here and I know they are just getting started. But at these prices you really have to CRUSH it to keep people coming back. read more

Stopped by this cute little donut shop around 740am and there was a small line but it went quick. They're still in their Soft Opening stage but their service was impeccable. Everyone was so friendly! Ok, time for the donuts critique: Strawberry Donut: this was my favorite of the ones I tried. The glazed tasted like it was homemade and the dough was fluffy and airy like brioche. It's a basic flavor but I would get this one over and over again. Vietnamese Coffee Donut: this was a close second fav. I wish the glaze was a bit stronger in coffee, but that's just a personal preference. I was expecting the dough to be similar to the strawberry but it was a bit more dense and less airy. Still really good if u like coffee! Salted Citrus: this one was hard to rate because I loved it but I feel like the citrus puts it in its own category. If you love that tangy citrusy flavor, this one will hit the spot. I couldn't taste the salt but I loved the tanginess. Everything Bagel: so I'm not a big fan of everything bagel in general, but this was actually pretty good. I probably wouldn't get it again but I would recommend it to my friends. Cacio E Pepe Cruller: so I made the mistake of not looking up what Cacio E Pepe was and I took a bite expecting it to be sweet haha, boy was I thrown off! For anyone curious, it's a Cheese & Pepper pasta. I definite tasted the Parmesan cheese and the black pepper. The dough was just ok for me. I prefer raised donuts. This one was not as dense as a cake donut, but not fluffy like a raised. Overall great donut shop. I'm excited to come back in the future to see what other flavors they create. read more

Sadly i gave this place enough chances to improve, but this is my last time here. I was here for their One piece, Sailor Moon, Harry Potter and now Ponyo theme. It's a very smart concept, themed donuts esp. anime'. The donuts itself can be super sweet and basic but let's face it, we are all here for the aesthetics and the likes on the 'gram. It is pricey but you are paying for the creativity. Unfortunately this business needs better managing and planning. They open at 7am, and by 0715, they were sold out! And there were only about 6-8 people ahead of me. It's 0820 and I'm still waiting for them to complete another batch of themed donuts! Granted no one is twisting my arm to stand in line, but I drove 25 miles and not about to turn around and go home empty handed. It seems like this always the case with this place. I thought they would have somehow improved by now and maybe learned a thing or two from the past, but sadly I am once again disappointed. I see enough staff inside but maybe they need to prepare earlier, not start the day same time as they're opening the door for the customer. The staff's nice although i feel like they are all over the place, at one point there was no one behind the counter (cashier) for awhile. And the line is a mile long. I suggest training staff to prioritise. Also freshly made donuts are great but if there's not enough time for the icing on top to dry, it gets pretty wet by the time you get home. I wish this business the best and to thrive. Hopefully this review helps but this will be it for me. No donut is worth a 2 hour wait each time. Moonbridge Doughnut Studio serves the lost beautiful and artistic donut I have ever seen in my life. To top it off, they also have amazing customer service with extremely patient and kind workers. I recently went for their Avatar inspired donuts and I am thoroughly impressed by the creativity of their literal artwork (it's truly a masterpiece) and equally innovative flavors. Their Mango Chamoy Zuko donuts were surprisingly great and I felt that the slightly sour taste of the icing beautifully balanced the sweetness of the donut. I also loved their Yip Yip donut as the coconut flakes were not only very fitting for Appa, but was also delicious and had a great texture to it (which is always something I worry about when seeing coconut flakes on any dessert). The matcha shortbread turtle lion along with (i forgot the name) moon fish donut were on par with what I would expect for a standard, good donut, but did not exceed my expectations such as the two other donuts I previously mentioned. However, they were still very beautiful. I really admire the work being put into each donut and I'm so excited to see what other masterpieces they will come up with! read more

I don't consider myself a "donut guy" but I had to try this new place. When I arrived the line was long. Usually a good sign so I stuck it out. By the time I got there all they had left was Apple Fritters. I typically do not prefer fruit in my desserts but I gave it a shot. I would like to officially change my name to "MoonBridge Donut Guy". It was amazing. Like nothing I've ever had before kind of amazing. Every staff member I interacted with was very friendly and helpful. They passed out free blueberry milk while we're in line. The donut itself was flaky and crispy in the right spots with a fresh coat of glaze. As I right this my mind is already working out a scheme to get back there. I'm getting in the car! read more

I saw a video on tik tok about the Harry Potter donuts and I was obsessed, went the next day around 11 and they were almost sold out. I tried the poly juice position drink and it was really good! The donuts overall are delicious and the decoration on the donuts are really detailed. read more

Drove 40 mins to try out the Harry Potter themed donuts, was super excited but let down by mid level service and vibes. Donuts were okay just kinda expected more, thinking maybe we should've gone in the morning? Or maybe the first day the theme donuts dropped maybe staff wouldn't have been burnt out?
