LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE! I haven't been in a few years, and today was my visit back. Showed up for a late breakfast with my friends and there was about a 20 minute wait. No problem as there were people to talk to and with outside seating, people had their pups to play with and pet. A guitarist showed up as we were being seated so there is live music outside as well. We were seated inside and our server approached immediately and took our drink orders. Service was so unbelievably fast that I think we all had our food within 10-15 minutes of ordering. Every table was full, so I was shocked with the speed of the delivery of our food. Everything was DELICIOUS! I noticed that the table across from us had an amazing looking dish and was curious as to what it was. One of the staff members overheard and started telling us about the dish and that it's one of her favorites. After talking about having entree envy and promising to order it on our next visit, we went back to enjoying our meal. A few minutes later the same lovely woman showed up at our table and brought us a half order the the Ika. It's a crepe stuffed with spinach, turkey sausage, basil, garlic, mozzarella, feta and scrambled eggs...and it's finished off with a ton of mozzarella on top that all melty and awesome. Holy hell it's delicious. It's one of those dishes that tastes as good as it smells! Paired with my cinnamon sugar waffle, I would say it was perfection. AHHHHH!!! a must try brunch place in Encino! after living in the valley for a few years, there are still a number of places that I have not tried. More than waffles was unfortunately a victim of neglect, but that mistake has been rectified....and this place is definitely MORE THAN WAFFLES!! I came here for brunch with my sister on a friday around lunchtime and were immediately seated. i had been wanting to try this place for brunch but the reviews made it seem that a crazy wait was an all around occurrence. I am glad we came during the off time and I got to try the amazing foods!!! We decided to get something savory and sweet and share! for the savory, we got the traditional eggs benedict with potatoes. The waitress recommended them to us with a modification of extra crispy and it was delicious!!!! for the sweet, we got the Ultima (with a twist!). we wanted the fruit, but also nutella so we substituted the whip cream for nutella and it was the best decision ever! the Ultima comes with wild blueberries, strawberries and fruit and the nutella made it a wonderful sweet breakfast/brunch! I also got a coffee which was constantly being refilled by various excellent staff members and my sister got an orange juice. They also have fresh apple and cranberry juice i think. Our bill was about $40 for 2 people and was definitely worth it! our portions were large and we ended up having some leftovers for later!!! I am already planning my next visit in a few weeks with friends and I hope to have the same excellent service as I had with my sister! The staff is very nice and great!! They were constantly there if we needed anything and super friendly. The food was ok wish I liked it more :/ I just didn't think it was worth it the calories or the cost. I decided to try the waffle Benedict, the waffle was good but the overall meal was Okie...I think for me it was the type of meat used, it's usually different on Benedict's. Also, the sauce was okie too felt like something was missing. But we don't all have the same taste buds and the staff was that great that it might be worth another shot. We came to celebrate my sisters birthday so it was a party of 8, the waitress was good but when I pointed out to her that my water glass had lipstick on it! I loved the cozy, homey atmosphere inside and didn't mind the buzz of the waiters all around us. The food was good and came out hot! This is a message to the owner. Please read this as I feel it would be to your benefit to make a change or two based on the experience I just had. This was my first time coming here. The host and servers were welcoming and nice. I came around 1pm so it was slower and the food came out quickly. But gluten-free people please beware of how they take advantage of our dietary restrictions. I got the pancake breakfast combo and substituted for the gluten free pancakes. When I looked at the prices of the stack of pancakes, the gluten free pancakes were only $1 more. When I asked to make the pancakes gluten free the server didn't mention anything about an up charge and I saw nothing on the menu that indicated it would be more or how much more. I saw that egg whites were more and other substitutes cost more but I didn't see anything. So imagine my surprise when I got the bill and the gluten free pancakes cost $5 more... I went back to get the menu to confirm I only saw a $1 for the stacked pancakes and nothing for an upcharge for asking for gluten free pancakes. A different server saw my confusion and came by to see what my issue was. I explained to her why I was confused and regardless of there being up charged appalled that it would be $5... that's a cost for a side order of 2 eggs. She said it's because the owner didn't raise the price of gluten free pancakes but did raise the price of the normal plain ones. If she were to raise the price there would be a $3 for 3 pancakes but for 2 pancakes it was a $5 substitution, so where is the logic? If she's going to make a charge for subbing for gluten free pancakes then make it $3, not the $5 I was charged. Ridiculous and honestly theft. When I pointed this out to a server and told them my original server diy NOT tell me that there would be a charge for the substitution, especially such a high charge of $5, they did nothing to compensate me. They didn't do the $3 charge that I suggested if that was the owners logic. They just said that the server has to obey the chart. They blamed the server for being "new" and only working twice a week. How is that my problem? Is it my fault she didn't memorize what is part of her job to know? I should not be charged for that lack of communication. They refused to remove the charge or at least make it the $3 difference based on the owners flawed logic. I will not be coming back because of how expensive and ridiculous the owner's logic is. The food isn't that impressive and not worth the price. Do better to your patrons and don't take advantage of people's dietary restrictions. The price of eggs is what's going up, not the ingredients to make things gluten free. If you want to cater to a demographic of people don't take advantage of them and steal from them. Disgusting behavior, do better. read more

Nice place and good service. The restaurant has very beautiful decorations even the restrooms are beautifully decorated! The food is tasty and the portions are abundant and well presented, but I was expecting higher quality and greater mixture of the flavors and ingredients. Even more when you look in Yelp and they have almost 2000 reviews and 4 stars... Overall pretty standard food in a beautiful location but you can get better for less at other breakfast/brunch spots around the area. They are always very busy so if you do not want to wait, go in awkward hours! e.g: I went with my sister on Friday for lunch at 1:45pm before they close and we waited around 15 minutes.
