Stopped by this gem because I was craving a good breakfast. Well, what can I say. We were referred to the right place. I ordered the Encino's Egg White Frittata. This was delicious!! The eggs were light, and fluffy. The veggies were tender , and vibrant, not too mushy, and lastly the cheese on top was a little gooey, stretchy, and blistered. This frittata was perfect. I didn't try my table mates dishes but I'm sure they were delicious. Both plates were empty when we left. I will definitely be back to try a different dish in the future.
The food portions are HUGE and well worth the price and wait! Great diner for large families as it seems they don't require reservations for large parties. You SHOULD expect a wait, especially on the weekend. The wait is anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on when you line up. I arrived at 9:30AM on Father's Day and waited about 70 minutes to be seated at 10:40AM. The front of house did estimate about an hour wait and she was right. The Yelp waitlist isn't super accurate as people do leave the queue, I was 18th in line when I was seated. The staff are doing their best to get the food and customers in and out. They are quick and the food comes out fast and hot! I'm shocked that they were still able to check up on their tables and be friendly while fielding so many orders and customers! Speaks to their great customer service. Ronnie's Scrumptious Breakfast - 5/5, deliciously made homestyle potatoes they were piping HOT. The bacon and cheese cooked in and over medium egg were delicious!! I loved the tomato salsa that came with the food. Eggs Benedict waffles - 5/5, WOW the hollandaise sauce is on the thinner side and has a nice tang to it which makes it less heavy and easier to eat! Perfectly poached eggs and PLENTY of waffle real estate Cup of chili - 5/5, love that they top with red onion and cheese. Sweet, savory homemade chili, what's not to like!
Best waffles in town, been going here since we moved to Encino many years ago. However I haven't been back in a few years as my kids got older and prefer to sleep in than go out for breakfast. However the past holiday weekend my youngest woke up early so I told him we will go to the waffle place. Got there before 9am so we were seated right away. We sat inside and we both ordered an omelette with the waffles as the side. Service was fast but the only thing is that the eggs are overcooked. On the photo you can see the edges were brown on my order (Californian). The servings are huge so we only ate half of the omelettes we ordered and finished off the waffles. I had the Californian and my son had Denver. The Californian is a folded omelette while Denver flat. I prefer my son's omelette than mine. Next time I'll just have the waffles! Oh and they put jam and salsa that's really good to put on anything - even the waffles.
Visited More Than Waffles Saturday before Mother's Day for brunch. Was originally excited to try their food as their menu is extensive and had many options available from classic breakfast plates, Mexican twists and of course, waffles! While two kind waiters originally came to our group to just offer coffee and water, a hostess randomly came up to our group and rudely said "well, your group has been here for 40 minutes now and still haven't ordered and we need the tables". First and foremost, our group had not been there for 40 minutes yet, and if we had been, that would have showed how delayed their service was. Secondly, the hostess came off very rude and aggressive, she could have asked if we were just ready to order. Finally, we had been waiting for someone to take our order the entire time! We kindly advised we had been waiting to order. She ruined the vibes for the entire group, and we did not feel welcome for the rest of the experience. The waiters were extremely kind, just not whoever the hostess was on 5/9/26. Waffles came out first, would have made more sense to have them after the main meal. Eggs Benedict were very traditional, seasoned well but nothing to rave for. They definitely have a different take on chilaquiles, not what I was expecting but decently seasoned. Food is around 6.5-7/10. Well seasoned, flavorful but not unique. Not coming back to this location to due the experience unfortunately.
A very busy Saturday before Mother's Day. I love the WaitList they use through Yelp. I have been here before and waited over an hour to be seated. I was with my daughter and 2 granddaughters, celebrating Mother's Day. The patio area is very pretty, with the water fountain and umbrellas. The inside was like a cozy home decor. Very comfortable seating, It was very loud. I ordered the french toast waffle with fresh strawberries, kiwi and berries. I declined the whip cream and nuts and didn't use the melted butter and syrup that came with it. My waffle was delicious, with mounds of fruit, although mine was delivered about 10 minutes after everyone else, and it wasn't a french toast waffle. My daughter had the traditional eggs benedict with potatoes, which she enjoyed. My pregnant granddaughter had eggs benedict, but removed one of the english muffins and added avocado. She was very happy. My youngest granddaughter also had the eggs benedict, but with fruit. We all left full. The service was very good, in spite of the busy day.
Totally worth the hype. We had some guests from out of town and we took them here recently. They offer an incredible variety of waffles and breakfast items here. My bf couldn't believe you could get ice cream on your waffles haha. I really enjoyed the bbq omelette. I'd never think to put bbq sauce on an omelette but here I am, savoring every last bite. I wanted to split it into two meals but I couldn't stop eating it. I'd come again in a heartbeat, although I'd try and come during the week as opposed to the weekend because the wait is probably unbearable during most weekends. Ample parking because it's a strip mall. Also if you sit outside, they have plenty of heaters so won't shiver while you eat.
Wow what a hidden gem!! You don't even know about this spot since it's in the back of the shopping center. This place was crazy busy and packed as expected for a great spot and weekend brunch. We put our names down and waited maybe 15-20 minutes. Beautiful view of the fountain and they have nice seating outside. We got to sit inside where the AC was blasting lol. Food also came out really quick after we ordered! He got some potatoes with egg and I got the chilaquiles with added avocado and tortilla chips on the side so they don't get soggy. Huge portion so there were definitely some leftovers! Super delicious and love how quick the service was. Wish it had the green verde sauce but the salsa was nice and not spicy. Food is great! 5 stars for food...everything else definitely could use some improvement. Make sure you do the yelp waitlist. Check in with the front when you arrive and be on top of your waitlist. We waited more than an hour, then got a text saying we were taken off. Front of house said we were supposed to check in with them (but never got a text)...party in front had same issue...didn't apologize or anything...waited probably 10 more min then we were sat for party of 3. 3 of us ordered: mushroom omelette $20.95 upgrade to blueberry waffle $7.50 side potatoes $5.95 cali omelette with waffle $21.95 OJ $5.25 Waffle is truly light and crispy, best I've had! Solid omelet. For the most part, staff is friendly, could be a bit more attentive. Older building. Layout of the place could definitely be more optimized...but why change anything when they're so busy haha. Overall, food here is great! Just be mindful of everything up to getting food on the table. Will be back!! Curious to see how the waffle holds up for takeout.
Service and food were all really good and the ambiance was very quaint and fitting! My friends and I ordered The Big G, Ronnie's breakfast bowl, the Sante Fe Benedict, and we also got a lemon lover Belgian waffle to share. Something that stood out right away were that the portions were enormous, especially the Santa Fe Benedict. All the good was delicious and my personal favorite was the waffle, which is rare. Shoutout to our server for being super attentive and hooking us up on the house strawberry jam and salsa!
It's been years since I've been here but the spot is still the same and the food is so great ! We got there around 9 so there was no wait but when we left there were so many people waiting in a Sunday. Got a burrito which was delicious. Their portions are kind of big so it's definitely good to share. Can't wait to come back. It's such a cute place it's gives off a bed and breakfast kind of vibe.
Met my buddy here. We both came from 20-30 minutes away. Parking lot is tight and spaces are scarce. Great outdoor environment. 15 minute wait at 10:30am Saturday. Patio table by the fountain. Most the tables are for 4, so ample room. Wonderful server. Had this oddly-looking, wonderfully delicious ham and eggs crepe with their handmade side sauces (sweet jelly and chili salsa. Fantastic!!! Five stars! BUT...I'm not sure if I would have liked eating inside as much much as I did eating on the patio.
This place is a bit tucked away--downstairs behind a large mall off Ventura Boulevard--but free parking helps, and clearly word has gotten out. When I arrived around 10:30 on a Monday morning, it was already packed, especially with families and large groups. The operation runs like a well-oiled machine. Service is attentive and efficient without feeling rushed: coffee cups are constantly refilled, water glasses never empty. The interior is warm and homey, cozy in a way that makes you want to linger. Portions are generous--almost too generous--and after watching waffle after waffle glide past my table, I regretted my choice. I went with the ham and cheese crêpe, which wasn't quite what I'd hoped for. The crêpe itself was a bit soggy and overwhelmed by melted cheddar. That said, the flavors were good, and the breakfast potatoes were excellent. Lesson learned: waffles next time.
I'm obsessed with Brunch In Arizona it's extremely challenging to find a dairy free brunch spot unless it's a vegan place Of course California has the answer This spot was buzzing from the moment it opened. As my cousins smiled at me they told me just wait and soon I'd see why this place was the best. When a place is new to me I always get the basics for starters. A basic and plain Belgian waffle When the waffle arrived I smiled ear to ear It was light and fluffy and each square sat waiting to be filled with syrup. Add on the fact that they offer you warmed maple syrup at no extra or added cost. Take a minute to just look at my picture of the waffle with maple syrup. Steady and waiting to be devoured this was the epitome that of perfection. The loaded potatoes quickly became my 2nd favorite at the table. Place is small but they have outdoor seating with heaters(a plus) . The service was on point very fast and efficient always willing to work with you even if you are taking a bit of time to order. The decor was SOOO cute! The food was amazing, I love that they offer a waffle/french toast combo, I love getting waffles or french toast but most places just give you either the waffle or just breakfast (eggs, bacon, hash browns .etc) but this place had a combo! The best thing is that the bacon was crispy and the combo was plenty of food, not too much but just right. I'm definitely coming back to this place. read more

Thank goodness we arrived with spiked coffee in hand, to make it through the 90minute wait. Plenty of room to roam around the complex. We poked around the shops, found a place to sit and chat. Reviewed the menu...Two hours later we were given a great table by the fountains. I was only momentarily sad there were no mimosas! Our food arrived swiftly. The service is impeccable. The crowd easy going. The food delicious. I had the special Pumpkin Pecan waffles. They brought me fruit, we shared little home style potatoes. He had an omelet with a side of waffle. GO EARLY! this place gets packed fast. We got there around 8:01 am when it opened at 8 on a Sunday morning... it was already pretty busy. Parking is great. It's located in a plaza near the movie theater. We got the ultima which was the Belgian waffles with strawberries, wild berries, kiwi, nuts, and whipped cream. It was delicious! I love my fruits and they seem quite fresh. We also got 4 pieces of bacon which were good size bacon! The service was friendly and fast! Such delicious waffles! We got here around 9am on a Saturday morning and the wait for 2 was about 20 minutes. We opted to get the waffles with fresh strawberries and the French Toast with chocolate and strawberries. There is a reason this place has waffles in their restaurant name... it is absolutely delicious. Nice crunchy outside and soft interior. They also give a side of jam and salsa and the waffles taste so good with the jam on top (no maple syrup is necessary). The French Toast was ok but I felt the one we chose was more of a dessert type. The chocolate overpowered the French Toast. Next time, I will probably stick with waffles! Another nice thing was at the tables, they have hooks for your purses/bags. Have you been here yet? This is the place for THE best breakfast, lunch, or brunch. I'd eat here everyday if I could. The food is terrific and the service is warm and friendly, but it's the wait that'll kill you. Come here on a weekday or before/after the lunch crowd. I made the unfortunate decision to come on Valentine's Day for lunch and it was super crowded. We waited nearly two hours to be seated. Kill time by walking around the area, people watch, or just leave and run errands. They'll tell you how long you can expect to wait and then text you as soon as you're up. Expect to wait 30 minutes on most days. Definitely order the hash and eggs. If corn beef isn't your thing, try the Belgian waffle. It has the perfect combination of crispy, crunchy airiness to it. You really can't go wrong here. Breakfast...this is as good as it gets! read more
Best waffles ever! We arrived here around 9am this morning and there was no wait. We got lucky as they just opened up some tables in the back area :) The Waffle Benedict with home fries was delicious! The two eggs were perfectly poached and the Hollandaise sauce and ham was yummy. The waffle was crispy on the outside and light and airy on the inside. The home fries were perfect. We were also given housemade salsa :) The Nutella Waffle was great for sharing with my toddler, had the same consistency, was drizzled with nutella and topped with fresh slices of banana. The orange juice was also very fresh. Service was friendly, quick and efficient. From the host to the servers. Different people came by to check on us, clear empty plates and refill coffee. Loved the homey feel and decor. You'll feel like you're enjoying a great meal in someone's home. With our last minute yelping skills, we found More Than Waffles from a 15 minute drive from my friend's place. If you have a party of 5 or more, make sure to make a reservation! That's what we did!! We were able to make a reservation an hour before our arrival. That reservation was worth it because we were seated right away while there was still a long wait! :) Between us girls, we decided to order/share family style just to try everything. We shared the Baconutella Waffle, Eggs Benedict, Ronnie's Scrumptious Breakfast, Waffle Benedict, Pumpkin Waffles, and Omelette (forgot which one). But my goodness, there was just way too much food for us! The baconutella waffle really stood out the most to me! I don't know how they do it.. but the waffle was filled with bacon and with nutella drizzled on top. The bacon was also very crispy too! It was so freaking delicious! Sweet, yet salty at the same time! Prices are decent for brunch. Service was great. If I'm ever down in this area again, I'd definitely be back for more of that baconutella waffle! :) read more
What's not to LOVE about this place??? It's like a Hidden Gem in the valley.. The foood here is INCREDIBLE!!!! Been wanting to try a nice breakfast spot for a while and used my trusty YELP friends to guide me. Soooo my friend and I walked in they told us it was going to be 25 minute wait..boo! but actually it was only 10 mins..yaaaay..got seated..ehhh the seating was kinda blah because it was really small and we were right in the middle of some other people but whatever we already talked about our juicy gossip on the ride there. I ordered the Vegetarian omelette minus the tomatoes and bellpeppers and it also came with a Belgian Waffle. Butttt here's where they get you for whip cream it's an addl $1.25..I can buy a whole bottle for that price..for strawberries is $2.50..and than home fries (potatoes) it's $4.50...jeeezusss..it alll adddssss me...All in all my friend and I ended up splitting $20.00 each including tip..The foood seriously was EXCELLENT and the Service was good too. But as far as the foood goes..OMGGG the omellete was freaken hugeee and sooo damn gooood..the cheese, the onions, the bellpeppers, the eggsss..yummm.. I ordered the strawberries on my belgian waffle..it came with their homemade strawberry jam and syrup..goshhh it was like heaven melting in your mouth...the home fries were greatt as well..I was sooo stuffed but didnt want to stop but had to once my jeans button popped..hahaha.. I no longer need to drive all the way to LA for breakfast/brunch. One of the best breakfast places I've tried is located here on Ventura Blvd. in Encino. Located in the bottom floor of the courtyard. There's plenty of tables to seat outside on a nice day. Food: 1) Lox benedict - I love smoked salmon and eggs benedict, so they combined two of my favorite breakfast items together into an entree with hash browns. The salmon was fresh and the eggs were poached perfectly. 2) Waffles - The place has waffles in its name, naturally I had to try to waffles and they were amazing. Their waffles are golden and crispy on the outside and really fluffy on the inside. Topping the waffles with their butter and awesome jam made it even more delicious 3) Banana Nut Pancakes - absolutely delicious! The banana was perfectly mixed with the pancake batter,. Banana smoothie-type texture in the middle surrounded by soft, fluffy pancake texture. Service: Like any brunch restaurants on a weekend, there's always a line, but they go through the wait list pretty quickly. I was on the next page and they got to me in about 15 minutes, when it should take 30 minutes. However, it did take them forever to bring some silverware after our food came. Parking: There's a large parking lot. If you want to park closer, there's a ramp to an underground lot that's close and on the same floor as the restaurant. read more

A former coworker, but also good friend of mine introduced me to More Than Waffles several years ago. I've gone several times since and before this review. I have to say everything is consistently amazing here. More Than Waffles is a family owned, quaint mom and pop shop located in the back and bottom level of the Encino Town Center. I adore the interior wallpaper and the friendly, attentive service. I feel like I am at a friend's grandmas' house, with a little more bustling of folks around -the restaurant is always busy. Although, I want to emphasize how great service really is here -my coffee and water cup was never empty and I really love that! Menu is extensive and very large selection of items: omelettes, Belgian waffles, breakfast burritos, sandwiches and so much more. This visit I decided on the Popeye omelette: 3 farm fresh eggs, fresh organic spinach, mushrooms and mozzarella $11.25 -and it's served with a Belgian Waffle with homemade jam and melted butter on the side (see my pics). read more

I cam here to celebrate a birthday. They are able to accommodate big parties. The food taste good here. I used to come here often when I was a kid. The quality hasn't changed. The service was decent. If you want good breakfast food. Come check out this place. read more

More than Waffles is my go to place whenever I want eggs benedict or if CiCi's is too crowded. But lately this place has been just as crowded so I guess the popularity is relatively the same. The live music is an added bonus and the homemade jam is delicious. My girlfriends friend works here and she usually sees us and automatically becomes our waiter so the service is impeccable. I have yet to try the waffles and my girlfriend gets mad that I always order the same things everywhere I go but if I want waffles, Roscoes Chicken and waffles is where I go lol. In a rare occurrence, I found myself in Encino in need of coffee and craving some brunch loving. Having no knowledge of the area, I did what I always do. I turned to my fellow Yelpers for guidance and found this place. This place is cute - comfortable but not fancy. It's nestled in the courtyard of the lower area of a strip mall setting. The food was fresh and tasty and the servers were all so nice. I needed utensils after my meal was served and I noticed the table next to me did, too - but it was near closing time to I think everyone was preoccupied to close up. The coffee was decent though I felt it was overpriced at $3 for basically diner coffee. It's free refills but if you are there having brunch, you prob won't want more than a cup or two. The waffle was light and yummy - not to sweet or buttery - although it was served with butter and a homemade strawberry jam. I could tell the jam had a good flavor, but I couldn't get passed that "refrigerator taste". I'm guessing they make large batches and refrigerate or freeze them. That's how it tastes, at least. Maybe they need to have a better storage process so the homemade jam would taste fresh. On the other hand, the also served a homemade salsa that I thought was super spicy and delicious! I ended up asking to take home a bottle (which I did - a small 8 oz jar for $5.99)! I don't think I've ever done that at a restaurant before! So overall, I highly recommend checking out this spot with some girlfriends, family or even a cozy brunch date if you are in Encino. I won't be driving out here for the waffles, but if I am in the area, Id be happy to come back! read more

The best waffle place in all of LA is right here, in Encino. The wait time for a table is always busy & it's worth it every time. I've been coming here for years & it never disappoints. They have so many options, from sweet to savory & the waffles are always fluffy. My rule of thumb when eating out, try to order what you can't make at home. I hate wasting money on underwhelming food, that I could've made better. This leaves me with very little of options on menus. But I tell you, the consistency of this place is always perfect. Savory is my go to, the lox Benedict to be exact. It's so good, that I can eat the whole thing in one sitting. The staff are always friendly too. No matter how busy it is for them. read more

I love this place for breakfast/brunch. I've gone twice and I like how the restaurant itself is kind of hidden. My first time I got chocolate chip pancakes which were amazing! I'm not too keen on pancakes, I'm definitely more of a French toast person. But these pancakes were so good! Chocolatey and fluffy, I fell in love. My second time around, I got an omelette. They're so generous that they include a Belgian waffle on the side. The omelette was great, so was the waffle. I would definitely go back! It's kind of cool how it's only open for a portion of the day, making it a cool breakfast/brunch spot. read more

I believe so. There is plenty of outside seating.
How the parking?
They have underground parking underneath the shopping plaza and I've never had an issue finding a spot. You can access it by turning into the shopping plaza on the side further from Balboa Blvd. there is some parking on the road level on an open lot…
Any Vegan options here?
Yes my son is vegan and he has been able to have entrees for him.
We're looking for a place to invite about 20 to 25 people for a brunch. I remember this place from at least 20+ yrs ago and would just love to have our 30th anniversary here. Is there space for this without having to split up guests in sets of four?
Yes just ask for their back room it holds about 50-60 people, I had my son's Birthday there. Happy Anniversary, may you celebrate your 60th there as well. ??❤️
