More Than Waffles has a variety of breakfast items in addition to lunch items like sandwiches and burgers... something for everyone :) Came here on a Saturday afternoon, and waited about 15-20 min for a party of four. Since it was afternoon, I decided to go for a chicken sandwich. I believe it was the balsamic chicken sandwich! I was so happy when the waitress said it came on garlic bread... wow, even better!! One of great things about this restaurant is our food came out really fast!! It was perfect because we were all very hungry, so the fact we didn't have to wait too long made for an even more pleasurable experience. The chicken sandwich was delicious! I really like how it was on a toasted garlic bread ;P Everyone was pretty happy with what they ordered. For dessert, we all shared a Nutella crepe with strawberries & banana; it was amazing!! The food here is always absolutely amazing, no doubt about it. The servers are always great as well. The hosts can be a little rude at times though, and the food has gotten SO expensive. The manager Henny is lovely, charming, is genuinely concerned with her customers and her job, as well as lending a helping hand to deliver food while running the establishment. She ensures that all guests are satisfied with their experience and food. Sue, our waitress is charming, playful, jovial and takes her job just as serious as Henny; I would love to have Sue as my host on each visit. Additionally, each and every member of the staff does their part and all work collectively as a unified team; no one is above another. The food: I am not going to post any pictures because the food is incomparable, and needs to be experienced for oneself, especially the waffles. I had the Hash Benedict and it was so well prepared even my wife, who doesn't like corned beef nor CB Hash, enjoyed it! The eggs were poached perfectly and everything was seasoned amazingly. The homemade salsa and strawberry preserves are so well prepared, we bought a jar of each! To be honest, I don't give many 5star reviews, but when I do, you can rest assured that it has earned it. It is a little pricey but it's what we expected and it is worth every single penny. It is located on the basement level of the plaza with plenty of parking above and below. Had brunch with my family here and we absolutely loved it. I had the mediterranean omelette with a side of waffles and both were absolutely delicious! The only reason why I left a star out was because the host chewed me out for reserving for 4 people. I brought my 1 year old son along and said we should've reserved for 5. She even had us waiting longer even after we got our table ready text. When we were finally seated, they really gave us 5 chairs and 1 highchair -- now who's gonna sit on that 5th chair when I only reserved for 4? smh. My boyfriend was looking through yelp and found this place. It was our first time coming here. We both wanted to get brunch and this place certainly hit the spot. The issue we had was locating the place. When coming to More than Waffles, you have to go through the middle of the plaza and it is located at the bottom level. The plaza is quite big so there will be a lot of parking spots. We had to wait for a couple of minutes before getting seated. Once we did, the menu option is very vast. They have many options from pancakes, waffles, crepes, to eggs benedict. They also have lunch options as well. So there is pretty much something for everyone. I'm not sure if there is a section for vegetarians and vegans. We end up getting Cinnamon Belgian waffles and a Florentine Eggs Benedict. They were both delicious. The waffles tasted like churros and the eggs benedict was not what I expected. Let's just say that it's not your typical eggs benedict. For the cinnamon Belgian waffles, I do recommend trying it with their house strawberry jam with it. Service was also great. They were all very nice considering that it was busy. Also, the servers check up on you often. Overall, this place was pretty good and very popular brunch spot for a reason. Dang!! This place is THAT good you have to wait like two hours to be seated, yeah THAT LONG. *eyeroll* haha!! But it was so worth it! Me and my girlfriend are fellow yelpers and she recommended this place since we were up in her "hood" just kidding, (we aren't hood rats, but more classy beeznies). Anyway- that being said she and my other friend told me they left last two times because the wait was unbearable. Now granted, it was raining and the day after Halloween and it was early so i assumed we wouldn't wait that long. To my dismay and the poor waitresses- they told us it would be 30-45 minutes at around 10:30am and I had to check in a few times in which they told me 15 minutes both times and we finally sat down around 12? But like I said well worth the wait. They have crepes! The have WAFFLES! They have omelettes and they have ICE CREAM! Who wants ice cream for breakfast?! I do! But, unfortunately that's not what I got lol because I really wanted eggs and the only downside I saw was there was the standard big "OL G" which I got (2 eggs, potatoes- no hash browns sorry and two sausage patties (AGAIN PATTIES NOT LINKS)..... Or waffle with two eggs or pancake with two eggs but no Crepe with eggs!! Bummer! Oh- and i didn't ask but who wants boring French toast or pancakes with eggs? Not sure if you can pick one of their specialties and make it a combo. I'm sure it would be more but a recommendation from my end. Weird location with outside seating in an indoor strip mall. Had no idea this place was here until I finally made it in late morning with a friend. With it being practically lunch time, I was craving something more on the savory side. To my amusement they had Chilaquiles so I figured what the heck and gave it a shot. Let me tell you they didn't disappoint; not necessarily the most authentic but super delicious. My friend had a breakfast combo with two amazingly fluffy traditional waffles, eggs and sausage. To top off our tasty tasty meals, the staff couldn't be more friendly and personable. Fiesta Benedict- came on an english muffin with Turkey slices, avocado and a choice of fruit, potatoes or....I forget but we all know the decision is between the healthy fruit option or the glutinous, delicious and sometimes post-meal regretful potatoes. I went with the potatoes. Honestly, I'm not mad about the choice I made because however they make their potatoes, the huge portion they serve is not enough, needs to be never-ending in my opinion :p The Eggs Benedict were really good and honestly very filling, I only ate one of the two (which never happens) but could also be attributed to the fact that I hate half of the potatoes before even touching the eggs. The show stopper was definitely the Strawberry Waffle which comes with huge mountains of fluffy whip cream. Do yourself a favor and grab a pic REAL quick because you'll want to it all while it's fresh from the kitchen. Now my one-star off qualm- My eggs benedict came out to $16.50... WHAAAAAAT?! I LOVE breakfast and today decided to try something new. I've seen the great yelp reviews for this place and thought it would be a nice change. From the parking lot, getting to the restaurant was a bit confusing because you have to walk through a building and then go downstairs. The restaurant itself it's big with a cute outdoor patio, heat lamps and a man singing/playing piano. Nice atmosphere although decor is very outdated. It's like being in your southern grandmas house. I came here for the waffles, obviously and I wasn't disappointed. The flavor was so much better than any waffle I've had at other places. When I first saw the menu it was a little overwhelming with all the choices between sweet/savory crepes, pancakes, Benedict's and so much more. I also like the dairy free options and substitute (soy milk for coffee) it was very easy to order and swap items. I got the waffle combo and asked for house potatoes in place of bacon. Delicious. The food was delicious and the portions were very nice. Amy was our waitress and she was outstanding ! Everyone we came into contact with was great. Amy checked on us to make sure we had everything we wanted and needed. She made helpful suggestions and made us feel like we were welcomed guests. The food came out so fast and Amy and all the servers brought us our food and made sure our drinks were refilled as needed. We sat outside with umbrellas shading us from the warm sun. The ambiance was terrific with the friendly people, the comfortable seating, and the very tasty food. From the kitchen staff to the front staff and everyone in between, all were efficient and attentive to all the details to make dining at More Than Waffles a wonderful experience! I'm the one that rarely rate businesses but when I do this is a highly satisfaction review. I come to this plaza for something else's and always see this restaurant. Today I finally visit to take my sister out for her birthday. This place has an excellent service very attentive, helpful, considerate and made sure we have all what we need. We didn't have to wait long to be seated and when needEd something they are there quickly. We felt comfortable and welcome. Amy our server was amazing and excellent server.
