The atmosphere was beautiful, with dim lighting and a small lamp on each table that made it feel cozy and upscale. The staff also checked in throughout the meal to make sure everything was perfect. I ordered the 8 oz. Center-Cut Filet Mignon with both the Black Truffle Butter and Garlic Butter, and both were absolutely delicious with the steak. Family got SRF Wagyu 7oz For sides, we shared the Matchstick Parmesan & Truffle Fries, Lobster Macaroni Shells & Cheese, and Truffled Cream Corn. The corn was a little sweet, but still delicious. Every dish was flavorful and worth trying. They also offer valet parking, which made arriving and leaving much more convenient. The restaurant also has clean restrooms, which is always a nice bonus. I stopped by at the end of January to try the collaborative meal at Morton's The Steakhouse featuring Veuve Clicquot, and it was truly a great experience. We sat at the bar and were greeted right away. The bartender asked how he could help us, and once we mentioned we were there for the collaborative meal, he immediately got us started. He served the champagne, and honestly, it was the best champagne I have ever had. The meal did take a little while to come out, but once it arrived, it made sense since I noticed at least six or seven other people at the bar were there for the same experience. We shared truffle fries, my friend ordered the chicken sliders, and I had the burger-style option. Everything tasted great. Overall, this was a really enjoyable experience. An exceptional experience--and an exceptional server. We went to Morton's in Fort Lauderdale for my birthday, and our server, Amber, was absolutely lovely. I'm 60, and my parents are 80. Anyone who has ever navigated a family dinner with aging parents knows that sometimes the people you love most can also bring a complicated energy to the table. Last night, our table needed a little extra kindness, patience, and grace--and Amber brought all three without ever knowing how much we needed it. She was warm, attentive, genuinely sweet, and somehow managed to make the entire experience feel comfortable and special. With so many steakhouses in the area, Morton's hadn't been high on my list to try, since I grew up eating at the flagship location in Chicago. But on this Christmas Day, we knew we wanted steak, something within walking distance of home and that we knew would make a delicious steak. Morton's fit the bill perfectly! Located at the busy corner of Broward Ave and Federal Hwy. Mortons is tucked away in the office building on the corner. You enter in the back and immediately are drawn to the big bar, showcase of wines and a perfectly lit dining area. Given it was Christmas, I was surprised at how full the dining room was and the manager told me they were sold out! Crazy! We were shown to a spacious booth and began to look over the menu. Alex, our server, was over quickly, making suggestions and recommendations. We ordered a couple of the appetizers, the beef dumplings which were very good, the bacon wrapped scallops which were tender and delicious and the lobster and crab appetizer. The lobster and crab was tossed up with some VERY spicy sauce which I thought overpowered the other flavors, but others at the table liked it. My New York strip and my dining companions ribeye were perfectly cooked- charred on the outside and medium rare on the inside. I also like the au gratin potatoes that they have. Finally for dessert (yes, we had room but barely!) we ordered the peanut butter bread pudding. It came with a caramel sauce over it. It was good but I would have like it warmer so that the ice cream would have melted. All in all a lovely evening out made even more special with some great food and service from Alex. I went to Morton's to sample the Happy Hour bar bites and drink specials. I like the bar area. It is large and they have lots of seating and tables. They call their Happy Hour " Power Hour". Ed and Luba were the bartenders and both were very attentive and hard working. People arrive right at 5pm because Power Hour only lasts until 6:30. It was busy from the start and it takes 10 minutes to get your car valet parked with the rush ($8). The Petite Filet Mignon Sandwiches are definitely worth getting. You get about 7 ounces of the steak in the 4 sliders for $12. They were tender. The smash burgers were also delicious and juicer than the filet mignon sliders. ($12) The Shrimp Louie Wedge Bites were perfect as a salad type starter. The shrimps (4) were large and fresh. Only $12. The crab cakes were really small and very "bready". Not worth it. ($18) The 3 Short Rib Tacos were dry ($11). We drank the State & Rush Cabernet wine. It was a good wine, but not much savings at $12 a glass for 9 ounces. Classy service and restaurant. I went away from my usual filet and lobster tale and went with the lobster ravioli. Amazing! She introduced my server Juan who made my birthday dinner a phenomenal experience. He was VERY knowledgeable about the food and drinks on the menu. The NY strip here was actually disgusting. The scezhuan green beans were sweet, burnt, and soaked in sauce. The au gratin potatoes were not sliced. It was just a bowl of cheap cheese. If you're going to go to a steakhouse, I would not visit this restaurant. I try not to write negative reviews because everyone has their own taste buds, but I just want to save someone a trip. From regular to maybe never again...After going to Morton's weekly (typically sitting at the bar), I had a bad experience with both service (mostly)and food 2 months ago. Decided to go back..this may have been worse. Waited 40 minutes for my entree. Then after eating, sat there waiting to get my check for 30 plus minutes. One bartender and the manager were super nice and apologetic about the food delay. Getting the check and being ignored at the end of the night was a different story and the last straw...(sorry I don't have the patience to share everything bad that has happened)..too many better options within blocks...Like me, you should let your money do the walking to someplace else...Sadly, the consistent experience has gone from always great to usually bad. read more

Had an amazing happy hour at Morton's Steakhouse and everything was on point! We tried the crab cakes, wedge shrimp salad, rib tacos, and truffle fries--every single dish was delicious, but the crab cakes and rib tacos were definite standouts. The Palm Beach Passion drinks were refreshing and perfectly made. The atmosphere was upscale but still relaxed enough to really enjoy happy hour. What made the experience even better was the service--our waitress Kim was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed. My partner and I went here on New Years Eve due to the pre-fixed menu for the night. In contrast to other restaurants in the area, this one was actually the cheapest, $180 for two with appetizer, entree, and dessert included. First and foremost, the server and hostess were extremely kind, handing out New Year's party favors as well as making sure we were enjoying ourselves. The restaurant was packed with people and even though we made a reservation, we waited fifteen minutes. Once seated, we started with flakey bread and butter, nothing special. I also order a lemon drop, perfectly tart and sweet with a subtle hint of alcohol. The appetizer we chose was a lobster bisque, perfect for a chilly night with sour cream and chunks of white meat inside. For the main course, the 16oz chateaubriand filet accompanied with a dark glaze and white cream sauce on the side. The steak was impeccably tender in the middle and cut into strips but the end pieces were tough. The sauce we especially liked was the white one and went on the more well done pieces. The appetizers that we chose were the loaded mash potatoes and lobster macaroni and cheese, the pasta dish was a $17 up charge. Although the appetizers were delicious and flavorful, there was barely any lobster in the mac. We ended the night with desert, which was another up charge we decided on. The dish was basically a lava cake with ice cream, rich and creamy but not worth $9 more. All and all, I believe the pre-fixed menu was cheaper than a normal night at the restaurant. I placed an online to-go order for two burgers, which came to about $60. I received an email confirmation saying the order was ready for pickup. Unfortunately, when I arrived, only one burger had been prepared. I then had to wait an additional 15 minutes while the second burger was made, during which time the first burger got cold. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the mistake. It was clear the restaurant was overwhelmed and extremely busy. In that situation, they really shouldn't have been accepting online to-go orders--or charging for them--if they couldn't fulfill them properly. But they did. This was a disappointing experience, especially given the price point and the Morton's brand. The food was also dry and not flavored well. For a restaurant that positions itself as a premium steakhouse, basic execution and customer acknowledgment should be a given. read more

Yes, the server apologized, but by the time it was corrected, my daughter and I had already finished our meals. Nothing says "happy birthday" like eating alone while everyone waits. On top of that, our Wagyu steaks were extremely underwhelming -- especially for a restaurant with these prices and reputation. "Meh" is the best way to describe them.
