It's obvious they're insistent on producing quality food, with quality meats. They had a variety of burgers but I decided on the California since I had a craving for avocado. They were pretty generous with the avo which is always a plus! The burger itself was SO juicy and packed with flavor. The bun was also perfectly toasted and crispy. I added fries for an extra $3.75. First and most important this place is SMALL, it's tight, and the seating is awful! The burgers were delicious, the fries were like most restaurants ... likely from the freezer. I had the Tex Mex, and it's got a great big spicy kick to it, I ordered it medium well, and it was perfection. Mouth watering, juicy, but not bloody, and that sauce was delicious!!! My granddaughter had the Western Burger, and it was great too! She loved it, said "this is the best burger ever" My cousin had the first burger on the menu (sorry, forgot the name of it) and he ordered it medium, it was almost raw, but he likes it that way, and stated it was very good, but too expensive. The fries do NOT come with the meal, but they should, they're aren't worth the extra three dollars. We didn't even eat half of a small order between three of us. There's one server, and only eight tables and the counter I believe ... so that's probably all they can squeeze in that tiny spot, and she was a little overwhelmed, or so it seemed. Another local, Mo's regular here. Been coming for 16+ years so probably a couple hundred times. Literally, never once have I had a bad meal or a bad time. Mo's is the bomb, great food, great service. The same people have worked here all that time and they're super fast and friendly. I usually get the veggie omelette, eggs florentine, pancakes, or french toast + they serve fresh squeezed orange juice. The burgers are very good too, but 99 times out of 100, I get breakfast. Honestly if I could, I would give 5 stars just for the chocolate chip pancakes! Ordered brunch to go here and was blown away by how yummy they were! We also got the two eggs with toast, which were as good as they could be! Definitely understand why everyone in north beach loves this local spot! You would think with all the Italian eateries in North Beach that Jamie W. and I wouldn't waste our precious time in a burger spot. After stopping to read the posted menu on the window, one of the patrons told my friend and I that the food here was delicious, and that he's a regular. Since I had sunglasses and a mask, I rolled my eyes(of course), and continued to read the menu. He wasn't lying though! At 2:35pm my buddy and I took an outdoor/Covid-friendly seat & ordered breakfast, because they actually serve it until 3pm! I ordered the veggie omelet(which I appreciated that they do not skimp on the spinach), house potatoes(probably the BEST I ever had-no lie), and 4 halves of sourdough bread. Service was outstanding-not once did my water glass become empty, (I chugged at least 5 glasses of water on this gorgeous 74 degree sunny day)! You know that character Stan from the cartoon South Park who throws up every time he sees Wendy? That's how I feel as I sit across from Blue Eyes right now. I'm praying for an earthquake, or a freeze ray. Something that would stop this moment, or at least delay it, so I can sit here for hours and never leave. While I take a picture of my breakfast Blue Eyes asks me about Yelp, and if we can connect as Yelp friends. Based on the personal nature of my reviews, and my feelings, I would sooner jump out of a plane without a parachute than be Yelp friends and admit my feelings. I was tempted to order a burger but didn't want to scare Blue Eyes into thinking I'm a pig or a nut job for ordering a burger at 10:30am. So I did the sensible thing, and ordered a traditional breakfast. Then, I calmly tell myself that we're just two people having breakfast, and I try not to get myself all worked up. Like I was in the presence of Angelina Jolie or something. I keep telling myself to slow down when I speak. To chew thoroughly so that I don't choke. To not ask Blue Eyes anything too personal. I keep telling myself to make the most of this, since this moment will never probably never happen again since Blue Eyes is already in a relationship, and even if Blue Eyes was single, would never chose me anyways based on the limited info that I know. We don't seem to have anything in common. I concentrate on the food, as not to stare too much; the potatoes here are tasty, and the scrambled eggs are fluffy, and I ordered coffee (which tasted fresh) which I probably didn't need since I'm wide awake. In fact I haven't felt so alive in years. While staring at Blue Eyes my mind wanders. I think maybe I could get into the hippie loving Berkeley shows, the yoga, the whatever, and mold myself into being whatever Blue Eyes wants. Then, I snap back into reality as the check comes. As you walk in Mo's Grill, right above the door is a great photo of the Three Stooges. To the left was all the ingredients and food right next to the grill with the Cook grilling up and making patron's orders. Also to the left are about 8 stools in front of the counter. The waitress warmly greeted my father and I and asked if we wanted coffee while handing us menus. The menu has regular diner food, specializing in hamburgers but also they have daily specials like Memphis ribs, etc. After debating in my head whether to get breakfast or a burger. I saw something that would satisfy both cravings. Here's what we ordered: Aussie Burger: this is a 7oz beef patty with a thick slice of ham steak and two eggs. And let me tell ya, (in my Curly voice) this Aussie burger was "POIFECT"!!! Cooked to a "POIFECT" medium rare, the ham was grilled with a nice char, and the eggs were made to order, which I asked for over-easy eggs. The runny eggs dripping over the patty and ham was finger licking, literally.. The bread used was fresh and toasted. Also served with house potatoes which I probably would ask for French fries next time. My only complaint is that the patty was a little small. But the taste and quality was "Soitenly" (certainly) there. Ham & Cheese Omelette: this is what my dad ordered. He said it was good. Believe it or not, a lot of diners don't make good omelettes but he said Mo's does. Overall, Mo's is a great diner with good food. Very friendly service. A diner that deserves to be in the popular area of North Beach. And the Aussie Burger with the trio of ham, beef, and egg is as good as the coolest trio of all time, Larry, Moe, And Curly. read more

Mo's Grill is a nice and cozy little spot near Coit Tower. The environment reminded me of an old school diner with a warm vibe to it. The staff was very friendly and sat us down immediately. We went for brunch and it wasn't that busy. The menu had a good amount of options but not very detailed such that it would make you venture out to try something new. We played it safe and ordered a breakfast burrito and two eggs any style. The eggs came with a hearty portion of house potatoes and two pieces of toast. The portions were great, but the only complaint is that some of the potatoes were very mushy from having just been boiled. The smaller pieces of potatoes had a bomb crunch to it, which is something I wish all of them were like that. The breakfast burrito was HUGE! It was served with chili (I asked for it on the side instead of poured over it). My decision to ask for the chili on the side was right for me. We walked into this pretty unassuming spot for a Sunday lunch/brunch after smelling it out on the street. Wow, were we so glad we did. My partner said it was the best burger he's had in San Francisco and we both agreed this was our new favorite spot for large portions, cheap (by SF standards) prices, and no frills great food. Burgers start at $12 and could easily last over 2 meals. They are juicy and huge -- it can get a little messy, but to me, that's just a sign of a good burger. As a local to San Francisco. This was one spot I looked forward to checking out. I invited a friend out for food and drinks and was really impressed by the appearance of the location and the staff. The waiter was attentive and was quick to manage multiple tables. This was especially impressive as there was only one waiter attending the whole restaurant.
