Had breakfast here for the first time on my last Vegas trip. The restaurant is owned by comedian Jo Koy's sister. It's a blend of southern comfort and Filipino food. The interior is clean and spacious. The staff from hostess to waitstaff were very friendly and welcoming. I just went with a basic breakfast sandwich. It was nothing special, but good. Everyone else in my group seemed to enjoy their meals as well. The menu has quite the variety, so you should have no problem finding something you like.

Breakfast was excellent as usual. First time having the Shrimp and Bacon Grits and it's delicious. Good amount of shrimp and it is so tasty sautéed with the bacon. It is served with two eggs over the grits. Service was quick and employees are all friends. Nice cozy feel with lots of natural light. One of our regular breakfast spots.

Had the fried salmon (yes, Lord I said FRIED) & it was wonderful. Crunchy corn meal exterior that tastes like salmon on the inside. If they had baked Mac N Cheese they'd have to Kobe this place to West Tennessee. We can just before 3pm & there was only one employee but she did a good job. Way too early for a DJ so at some point my wife & I will have to come here at a later hour. Also had the Peach Cobbler, sans ice cream, it had canned peaches but was suitably sweet. The background music was perfect if you graduated high school in 1985. 4-stars

I've been hearing a lot of chatter about Mountain West Eatery, so I decided to give them a try by bringing a group of folks from church for our outting. Making a reservation online was super easy and efficient, which I appreciated! When I arrived, the exterior looks like this would be some chain restaurant, with a larger than life staff & facility. But once I entered and got familiar with the restaurant, it's very much more like a small family owned restaurant. The type where the owners & family members are working both in the kitchen and the front of house. There was a live DJ on my visit, that had nice tunes the whole time I was there. He even lowered the music when my group and I prayed over the food, which I thought was an extra special cool touch! Thanks for that mister DJ! Apparently they have karaoke nights too. There were three staff working the front of house. A lady that was at the register most of the time, who seems the most knowledgeable and had amazing hospitality! - a young gentleman that was tall, pair pulled back. He was very hospitable and helpful. I think he was one of the main servers. - and an even younger guy, likely a busser or back waiter. He was not friendly at all! He was actually quite rude and aggressive. (Maybe he was having a bad day) Although we had a large group, they were pretty efficient and effective at getting our orders and helping us through the process. Unfortunately, since it's a large group, our food came out at very different times. There was probably a 10 min gap between the first dish that came out to the last dish that came out. Which, towards the end, left half our table done eating while the other half was still going. The restaurant serves a very wide range of food: Breakfast, BBQ, American, Filipino We pretty much tried all genres in our group, and we had mixed reviews, but most of it was positive! I think some of the reviews on the breakfast items were average. But the Filipino food was amazing! Especially mine. I had the Sinigang and it was delicious!! I noticed a few other people around the restaurant ordering it too. I see why! Lots of flavor. Restrooms needed some attention and sprucing up. Overall, great place to try. These smaller family owned places have some of the best food, so I recommend giving them a try.

If you are familiar with the comedian Jo Koy, this restaurant is owned by his sister. We stopped in for breakfast before our drive back to LA and I was impressed on how spacious the layout is, complete with a dedicated bar and a stage for live entertainment. Although Mountain West Eatery serves a unique mix of Southern comfort food and Filipino food, I went with the Tapsilog. It didnt disappoint! The beef tapa was very tender and it had somewhat of a nice sweetness to it. I also sampled the pork belly, which was equally delicious. Service was great. Our food arrived just minutes after we ordered.

Made it to Mountain West Eatery, Gemma's restaurant--Jo Koy's sister--located in the southwest of Vegas. I knew going in that they serve a mix of Southern comfort food and Filipino dishes. Went with a friend for lunch fully planning to order Filipino food, but I just wasn't in the mood anymore. I ended up getting the Southern catfish sandwich, while my friend ordered the fish and grits. For me, the food was a bit mediocre, but the service was excellent. The space is roomy with a relaxed atmosphere, and there's a lot to choose from on the menu. I'd give it another chance and try something different next time.

I'd been wanting to try this place. Sadly, I was disappointed. They appeared to be under staffed, as there were only 2 servers, and one of them, Lyndon, was VERY rude. He was very social with the table to my left, like he knew them. The table to my right stayed dirty for far too long. My husband told him the men's room needed paper towels which caused Lyndon to start cursing under his breath. Rather than introduce himself or provide ANY niceties, he walked up to our table and said, "What do you want"? I actually pulled the other server to ask what the guy's problem was. The chicken skin appetizer was overly salty. The pork kare-kare was overly dry and hard. The veggies were not seasoned AT ALL. Returning is not in the cards for us.

Mountain West is a blend of both Filipino and Southern Soul Food. The menu features all the Filipino classics - silog of all kinds, kare kare (a stew made with beef and peanut butter), and caldereta. Then they have Southern flavors like shrimp and bacon grits. A DJ played Christmas songs from a small platform. One standout feature was the service. When we went there was a busy Sunday brunch in attendance. Maryann was the sole person working the tables and the register. Now and then the owner would come out to help, but Maryann commanded that room like a Pro. No complaints and no fuss from customers. Bottom line - they serve great food and have excellent service. I highly recommend!

Came here on a weekday at about 4pm, so definitely past lunch and before any dinner crowds - it was only us and one other dining group there. Server was very friendly and kind and helped make some recommendations for food. I'm Filipino and was craving some homestyle cooking, so I got the adobo. My daughter got the spamsilog, and my husband got catfish, ribs, collard greens, and Mac and cheese. The adobo was ok, it seemed like it had been simmering all day by how salty and emulsified the oils were with the sauce. The serving was interesting, it was a bowl of adobo and then a super small cup with the rice... maybe it's just my family and I but I'm used to rice being on a bigger plate so that I can add sauce and chicken to it, not the other way around, so here I had to add the rice to the adobo sauce, and it just felt imbalanced. The chicken itself was tender. No complaints from the Spam plate: spam was fried well, scrambled eggs cooked thoroughly, and the garlic rice was delicious. My husband said his catfish was good, but suspected it was frozen. The ribs were tough, and the sauce was ok. Overall an ok meal, not terrific, but nothing super stand out. I would definitely come back to try the other Filipino food offerings.

Came here with my family on a Sunday afternoon for lunch. We were seated right away. There was also a DJ playing some great hits. We ordered 1/2 bangus-silog with garlic rice and upgraded the toast to a pancake. We also ordered the Lechon. The 1/2 bangus-silog was delicious! The fish was nice and crispy on the outside and the meat on the inside was cooked perfectly. The vinegar sauce that it came with enhanced the dish. The garlic rice was also garlicky. The pancakes were buttery. I did wish it was fluffy. The Lechon was also nice and crispy! There was a good amount of meat and less fat on these which I liked. The veggies were fresh! We wished out waitress came around to check on us. We needed to flag her down to get some water and napkins. Another thing was they didn't have a safe high chair for our daughter. The strap did not buckle. She said that they only had 1 high chair. That is definitely a safety hazard. Overall, we enjoyed the food and music.

Stopped in this place as a recommendation from someone while I was in town for the weekend. It was a Friday afternoon and only one other party was in the restaurant at the time. After ordering our food, it took about an hour to come out, which would have been overlooked if our food came out piping hot, which wasn't the case for any of the four dishes. Pros: fresh cut fries, large menu to try Filipino cuisine, happy hour is 3p-close. Cons: possibly low staff, food takes a while, waiter told us their Mac&Cheese is "hit or miss" and they make it to order.. cabbage was cold and flavorless, catfish was hard. Would not recommend, but hoping this was just an off day for the restaurant.

Mountain West Eatery is a restaurant that offers your typical American fare like weekend brunch, as well as Filipino favorites and Southern fare. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was relatively busy. There were a few empty tables that had yet to be cleaned, but we noticed a few groups that still had not ordered yet. There was one couple before me and then my party. I took a seat and waited as a few staff members walked by and didn't say anything. I was wondering if I was going to get any acknowledgment, when someone finally said they are going to clean a table for us. We looked over the extensive menu and was ready to order and just waited. We did notice that a large group got their order in right before us, so we were anticipating a bit of a wait. The Husband's Country Fried Steak $16.99 arrived first, 15 minutes after we put our order in. He did ask for over easy eggs, but he got sunny side up ones. He also asked for extra crispy hash browns and didn't get that either. He couldn't be bothered letting them know as it would only delay his order. He did want condiments like ketchup and hot sauce, and we had to flag someone down to get those things. Next to arrive was mine - Shrimp and Bacon Grits $17.99. It was good, but the grits were not hot enough as you can tell the cheese did not melt. I would guess they plated the grits first and it sat while my eggs and shrimp were being cooked. Once that was plated on top of the grits, the cheese was added. The cheese melted nicely on my eggs, but not on the grits part. Next was the Little Gal's Kids Hawaiian Grilled Cheese $9.99. It looked like an amateur grilled cheese sandwich. There was nothing special about it. She ate it because she was starving. Last to arrive was the Little Guy's 1/2 Bangus Silog $16.99. This arrived about 15 minutes after the Husband received his order, which meant he was pretty much done by the time my son got his food. A staff member did come by after I got my order to say the other orders were coming shortly, but it still took a little while. We expected the wait because of the larger party before us, but didn't expect the food to be brought out with such a huge gap. If this was the case where we waited for everyone to get their food before we all ate, there would have been a bunch of cold dishes sitting around. I noticed this was also the case with other tables too. Service was okay. There were about three servers handling takeout orders, delivering food and taking table orders and one busboy. Sometimes there was no one on the floor though, so you definitely wondered where everyone went. I went to use the restroom and expected that the bill would be paid while I was gone. But when I returned, the Husband said he was still waiting for someone to come by. Would we go back? Probably not. The food was only okay, the service was only okay, and the pace wasn't what we are used to.

Giving this place a five star. It has a very electic menu. I did the waffle and chicken wings and they were amazing. Waffle was good and the wings extra crispy. It's a philipino American joint with a southern take. Looking for catfish they got it. The spring rolls are amazing. I would go back to try something else. Bloody marys are good but pricey for the size. Only recommendation would be to season the smothered potatoes. read more

Ok ya'll- if you haven't been here, you need to make plans to check it out! I had half of a smoked chicken, the best collard greens in town and green beans that took me back to my grandma's garden. I also snuck a bite of the corn muffin and Cracker Barrel needs to pay them for this recipe. My husband and 13 month old daughter agree! Amazing!!! I ordered my daughter a piece of fish and the owner generously said she needed some Mac n cheese too. The fish was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My hubby enjoyed a patty melt with fries and everything was delicious! They serve breakfast all day. I almost got an omelet, but knew I couldn't resist that side of grits. If that wasn't enough for you, we also got great service and this is a Black-Owned Business, which we make a point to support! read more

Service - 5 stars- The service by the entire staff was the superstar. Everyone super attentive and helpful. Great menu suggestions. Glasses always full. Super friendly staff that seemed genuinely happy to be there which is rare these days Food- 5 stars- we had a variety, fried fish and wings; crispy and well seasoned. Fried Chicken Sandwich. Real juicy and crispy chicken, fluffy bun too. Beef kaldereta; so good, tastes homemade. Pancit Bihon; healthy serving with shrimp and chicken. Best to I've had outside of homemade. This place is ALWAYS ALWAYS AMAZING! Each and every time we come. I'm seriously surprised about any review that says otherwise . We have only had great experiences here, from the food to the staff to the owners. Each and everyone has been extremely kind, and the food has always been on point. Hubby and I came here again today without the kiddos and we had a wonderful breakfast meal. Hubby had the shrimp and grits and I had the veggie omelette. Both were delicious , fluffy and so fresh! Hopefully if you are on the southwest side of town you get to try it!! read more

I decided to check out this place out due to it being on the news. I was greeted by the owner & his wife they were welcoming. They came out & apologize for the wait & I told them no problem take your time. He mentioned "the food is worth the wait" The line for pick-up was long, it was definitely worth the wait. We ordered brisket sandwich with coleslaw, shrimp & grits, & fish sandwich with mac & cheese. It was the bomb!!!! I'm glad that I had the opportunity to enjoy their food during this crazy time. Fantastic food! Family went for Christmas morning breakfast and didn't realize it was also a Filipino restaurant! What a treat as they serve both traditional American and Filipino dishes! We had the Country fried chicken steak and the breakfast sampler and if I can be honest...absolutely the best two breakfast dishes I've had in a hot minute! Chicken fried steak was seasoned and cooked perfectly!!! Our 3yo devoured the breakfast sampler, and the servers were on top of everything and so friendly! We're definitely heading back in soon! Very friendly staff. Loved everything. Staff were conversational and very attentive. Got a great tip from our waitress to get a plate of rat type of food, breakfast, bbq, Filipino and share with the table. BEST advice. We loved everything. Got the big appetizer with calamari, pulled pork egg rolls, shrimp tempura, onion rings and chicken tenders. Didn't have time for a photo because we ate it so fast. The ordered chili cheese Mac n cheese, biscuits and sausage gravy, pulled pork and gumbo and chicken house fried rice. We loved everything we were served. Not too salty, everything hot and fresh. Having eaten here previously with our adult daughter, my wife convinced me to give this family owned restaurant a try. I have to admit that I was a bit skeptical when I saw so many fish related dishes on the menu given it being located in Las Vegas. Just goes to show how dumb a recent transplant from Southern California can be when it comes to accessing seafood here in Nevada! I had the Southern Style Crispy Fried Fish Sandwich on a brioche bun which turned out to be ENORMOUS and very tasty. Sides included cole slaw and Mountain West Eatery's hand cut skin-on french fries. My wife had the Sweet & Sour Fish Fillet Asian Style with rice and their signature corn muffin. I snagged a bite of that as well which was also great. The customer service we received was excellent and given the portion sizes we were served, I'm anxious to return to try some of their other dishes. Nice to know we have a great restaurant to introduce to friends and family members when we begin hosting visitors to our new hometown! read more

Service is somewhat slow. By the time we got our breakfast, which should be the easiest and quickest on their griddle, food was warm in temperature. NOT hot off the grill... as for the servers, they should be better trained in their menu. A few were not readily well familiar with answers to simple questions. Coffee refills were great timing...had two before my meal hit the table. read more

So this was my second time dining here. My little one liked the pancakes the 1st time so figured we'd come back. Aside from the wait the 1st time nothing was really memorable or bad. The 2nd time in, what a difference. Place had 5 tables sat. As we came in were greeted and sat immediately; However that's where it starts. It took just about 15mins for someone to greet us and get our order. (15mins not that big of a deal) but okay. Server was polite and got us started. My little one ordered kids pancakes and I ordered Chicken fried Chicken. Has anyone in that kitchen heard of SALT! The hashbowns have zero flavor, the gravy had zero flavor, taste like instant gravy or just out of a can. The chicken was rubbery and greasy. It was so gross that I couldn't even add enough salt & pepper to give it flavor, had a few bites and couldn't eat the rest. My little one's pancakes were burnt and only one was addible. The only half decent item was my one side pancake that came with my order, which arrived 8mins after my food and was surprisingly soft and hot so I gave it to my little ones. O the bacon was bomb, it was burnt and thick which is actually how we like our bacon. Over heard the table next to me saying they never revived a drink and saw the manager talking to 2 different table to apologize for the long wait time. He seemed nice. All in all this place is terrible. The staff was friendly but there is no sense of balance and actual standards and customer service. Not sure if this is a new owner but the menu is weird. They are trying to hard to please the masses. Pick one cuisine just go with that. Either way too late for us we won't be returning. read more

We went for brunch Saturday morning and was so excited. This turned really quick to a let down. We got the breakfast burrito with fried potatoes and toast, bowl of cheese grits, and the brisket plate with greens and fries. (The waiter said that the brisket was one of three places the signature dishes) The 37 minute wait was nice time to chat and have a cup of coffee. Finally our food came. Plated well. The burrito was good but the side was hash browns not what we ordered. Brisket plate came with fries and the grits with a sprig of cheese was stone cold with hot greens in a bowl! Major let down! Sent it back twice and it didn't get better. Grits came back tasteless and the brisket plate was not even addressed just walked back and brought back same way. Sad this is a day looking place that before the food came out we were talking of using it as a staff get together spot on Fridays. read more

More of 2.5. Mostly for the atmosphere and service. Atmosphere is nice and calming. Service was good. Food options on menu was nice. You could order heavy food for breakfast and by that I mean burgers and all. Prices were a bit steep and portions were ok. They charge 20% gratuity for 5 or more. That's insane. I think that was one of 2 of my biggest thumbs down. The second one is they charged 4.25 for 8oz non refillable hot chocolate. It was just sad tasting it. Knowing what I know about their prices and gratuity, I will not be returning. read more

We celebrated my son's high school graduation here tonight. From beginning to end, Rick was super accomodating. His crew was very attentive and the space was more than adequate for our festivities. In additon, the food was very, very good. We had pulled pork eggrolls, rib tips, roasted chicken, sweet potatoes, filipino noodles, green salad, mac n cheese, and bread pudding. The service is HORRIBLE. I rarely choose to give poor ratings to restaurants and I always try to give benefit of the doubt. However, this was the worst experience I've had in a while. This eatery seems young and disorganized even upon entry. As we were seated, there were only two other tables sat, and we assumed it was slow because of the weekday. We were a party of four, two of which are children. Drink orders were taken and we asked for water for the table, 3 OJ, 2 coffee. Only one water was brought out and the coffee was room temp. It then took another 15 minutes for someone to take our food order. All staff seemed to be BOH instead of servicing the floor. After our orders were taken the first time, two more tables were sat and each got their food before us. We did not cause a bother, instead waited patiently since I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Maybe that particular dish takes a bit longer. We also ordered 2 kids breakfast samplers and the breakfast tacos. Finally, someone came over to update us and read back the order taken. It was completely incorrect. We advised we ordered different dishes and proceeded to give our order a second time. I specifically asked for the kids meals to come out as soon as they were ready, so at least the babies would not be waiting. We watched as the other tables ate and left and about 20 mins later, the breakfast tacos came out. The kids plates followed shortly after and then the server brought out the Fish Breakfast...I again explained that we did not order this. There was a small attempt to go back to the kitchen and put in for the chicken and waffles, but I refused at this point. There were no apologies from staff or management. We saw a possible manager and tried to get their attention, but they would not come over to our section. We decided to keep the peace and again, not cause any conflict. The kids liked the pancakes and the food could have made up for the service and wait times. But we were charged for everything ordered, the only thing taken off was the chicken and waffles only because I said no. We were not taken care of here and felt as if we were ignored the entire time. read more

Very delicious breakfast! Our family decided to order some Sunday breakfast. My mom had the biscuits and gravy. Their gravy is amazing not to mention the delicious homemade biscuits. My brother got the country fried steak which was also amazing! Highly recommend if you live in the area. Great service as well! We will be back for sure! read more

Yelp needs to allow 10/10 ratings because this place is too bomb! Came in with my family around 5, and the place was empty (thank goodness since my boys were getting rowdy due to hunger) so yay us! The staff was very friendly and even brought out the kids' meals before ours so we could calm them down and get them fed ASAP. Let me pause right here. I have never, ever, had this kind of treatment at any restaurant I've been to with my kiddos. This meant SO much to us! By the time our food came out, one baby was done eating and was on to watching Peppa Pig. #winning. Who has two thumbs and got to eat their meal without interruption from kids? This girl! What we ordered: Chicken wings and waffle: 10/10. This brought me back to my New Orleans travels with the flavors! Chicken was not greasy and I didn't feel yucky after eating either. You get a LOT of chicken with your meal so be ready to chow down people Omelette: 10/10 fluffy, flavorful nothing undercooked. I'm not a reviewer but I need to post this ....usually bad meal equals I just don't go back The breakfast we had was terrible The omelette we ordered was as big as a football and no cheese inside as ordered. . We're they adding crème of tarter. Omg WHY??? Why was this omelette so huge and dry ? And the grits? They were fluffy ...too fluffy....with no southern grit feel. Can someone lookup what grits are? Decided to check this place out today for breakfast. Met the owner Rick, he's had the place for 2 years. Super nice guy, especially since he was actually out front doing the watering of the plants before opening. Kelsie the Manager took our order. I got the Breakfast Brisket, it was several slices of brisket with BBQ sauce on it, 2 eggs cooked well done, Smothered Potatoes which were fried potatoes with onions, fried green peppers in them. You also get a pancake with it. The Brisket was smoked with hickory wood and was nice and tender, the barbecue sauce gave it just a little zip to the flavor. The smothered potatoes were good but needed a little bit of seasoning to give them some more taste. The star of the food turned out to be the pancake which was nicely made and the melted butter on top added a great taste and the syrup made it all come together perfectly. Service was off the chart. They checked on us numerous times and were super friendly. read more

First time here and I was WOWED!! I love breakfast anytime of day and this quaint restaurant did not disappoint. Instead of Chicken & Waffles, they have have Fried Catfish & Waffles! Perfectly seasoned, crisp crust, and not greasy fish...(for those who live in Vegas and love Mario's catfish like I do, this is better! No lie)!! Waffle was crispy as I requested and very flavorful! I also love the details to the decor and seating. Well thought out and even has an "Oxygen Zone" which a location in the place with lots of beautiful plants! I came on a Saturday around 11am and almost every seat was filled but we were able to get seats pretty quickly. The room is big enough for larger parties. They do have 2 tv's on the wall with the basketball games on. The staff is very friendly and will work with any requests you have. I ordered the shrimp and grits and It did not disappoint . It was rich, savory, and very filling. That was my first time eating savory grits and it won't be my last. My friend had the fried fish + 2 sides and that fish was AMAZING. I am not a fish person before noon but I could def eat that for breakfast any day. Everything was really good and we enjoyed our visit! I wish I took pictures but I forgot. read more

My wife and I have been eating here since it opened. I've read some of the reviews because I find it difficult to believe that someone would leave a bad review, the bad ones are a bit over the top and petty in my opinion. We eat here 2-3 times a month. They cook the food to order so it may take a little longer, but it comes to your table hot and delicious. They make most everything from scratch and from their own recipes. I bring friends and clients here all the time as well and they tell me all the time that they took people there to try it and again how fantastic it is. We have experienced an autistic young man employed there, he does a great job, he may not deliver a warm fuzzy to you, but if you don't think about yourself for once and consider the obstacles he is overcoming by working, maybe you could appreciate that! For those that said they would never be back, give it a few more tries, nobody is perfect and this restaurant is new - try it again. read more

This place gets one star because it looks like they are following all of the guidelines associated with operating at this stage of the pandemic. That aside, the only thing I really could judge was the pandemic compliance. We can in for carry out. We ordered the brisket and a smoked chicken. 15-20 minutes is what the manager and cashier told us. 50 minutes later, with no updates, we ask for our money back and the manager suddenly says "oh, now your food is ready." And then throws up an excuse that it takes a long time to cook the chicken. Perhaps if you didn't lie to guests and were transparent when we order something that will take a long time, you wouldn't be known for poor service. Get your head out of the sand and be truthful with your guests. read more

I recently ordered from this restaurant on Grubhub, and I was beyond impressed! Everything arrived fresh and full of flavor. We ordered the chicken and waffles, peach cobbler French toast, grits, catfish with smothered potatoes, and scrambled eggs. Every dish was cooked to perfection. The chicken was crispy and juicy, the waffles were perfectly fluffy, and the peach cobbler French toast was just the right amount of sweet. Was driving by and we saw a new spot for dinner so we decided to stop. Only a few people there but we decided to try it anyway. Now I see why nobody was there. We had a young man as our waiter and was not welcoming or friendly at all. Food came out and wasn't that great and part was even getting cold already. Waiter wasn't attentive to refilling drinks or checking on us (and mind you, there's almost nobody at the establishment so he should be right on it). While visiting Vegas I was told about this amazing restaurant i had to try and they sure did not disappoint. Not sure how far they are from. The strip but I had my food delivered and it was still hot when I received my order. The pancakes were big and fluffy, the bacon was crisp and tasty, and the eggs were good too. Not to mention it was a huge portion and priced very reasonably! I told everyone I know that you will be doing yourself a huge disservice if you do not eat at Mountain West while visiting Las Vegas. read more

11/19/2022. They made me sit and wait for over 25 mins and not a single server came up to me and ask if I at least need a glass of water. They made sure to serve the groups came after me. I was by myself, I guess they don't really prefer to serve solo customers. Worst restaurant experience ever had in my life. After waiting over 25 mins got up from my seat and left. The food came fairly quickly but the omelet was undercooked and the eggs were still a little runny inside. No big deal, it happens. She sent it back. While waiting for her omelet to get re-made, I finished my breakfast. The table next to us ordered, received and made it about halfway through theirs. The waitress apologized repeatedly and promised she has been telling the kitchen to hurry up. My wife decided to just cancel the order and then it showed up. With mushrooms. Ugh. She refused it and explained that it was not supposed to have mushrooms. This is the worst part... the manager BLAMED THE WAITRESS. She told us it was her fault as she didn't put the order in correctly. But... she did... as the first time it didn't have mushrooms. When we complained about how long it took, the blame switched to my wife sending it back. According to her it took so long because the kitchen had to cook the eggs thoroughly, which takes a while. She did remove the item from the check and included a discount, which is why this is a two star review and not a one. But really? Blame your waitress for your kitchen's mistake and the customer for not wanting undercooked eggs? Do better.

I also ordered the udon noodles with ponzu sauce and lowkey... that could've been my whole meal. So much flavor! The veggies tasted fresh as well. We weren't too surprised as it was very early for dinner and a weekday There are two menu price points: A set $35.95 B set $27.95 The main differences being that the A set includes Wagyu options which I guess that's why most people would dine here as they are called Shuba Wagyu Shabu House. When ordering, there are two size options. They suggest starting small, which is about four pieces of protein for each round. The veggies orders are also very small initially but since it's AYCE, you can just order more. You are only allowed to choose two sauces but there are free refills on your sauce choice. My favorites were the creamy sauce and the Thai sukiyaki sauce, or whichever the green one is. For broth options, we were able to choose two for our party of four and went with Miso and Tonkotsu. Our favorite appetizers were the Fried Salmon Skin, Soy Salmon Marinated (limit 1/pp), Corn Cheese, Grilled Short Ribs (limit 1/pp), and Grilled Butter Oyster (limit 1/pp). There are discounted children prices for those between 40"-50". Everyone in your party must order the same tier, which is usually standard. There's a 90 minute time limit, and $10 charge per wasted plate. There's also a 20% surcharge for each additional 30 minutes beyond the time limit. There was one waitress working and she was busy. Service was good and food came out pretty fast. Overall, it was a good experience at Shuba Wagyu Shabu House.
