I was pressured to write my last review, as the movers were persistent in that I write a review in their presence. The truth is, I would not recommend this company. I contracted 3 movers for a 1bdr move that was 2 blocks away. Though I received 3 movers, only 2 of the movers seemed to be putting in full effort to move things quickly and carefully. The 3rd was remarkably slow, and I barely saw him at all. At one point, I even caught him leaning on the lobby apartment steps looking at his phone. Though the new location was only 2 blocks away, somehow my coffee table arrived broken. Though the main guy was apologetic about how it broke via transport, they only offered me $50 off as compensation (for a ~$300 coffee table). At the end of the move, I paid in cash and included a 17% tip off the total. The movers were visibly upset and asked for more money, which took me by surprise. They left disgruntled. The main mover apologized on behalf of the other two on the basis that they were new. He then asked me to write this review and insisted that I do it in front of him. I repeatedly expressed that I was not comfortable with this, he was quite persistent otherwise he would not receive his bonus--which I don't know if this is true, but I disapprove of any company that incentivizes extortion of reviews this way. Ultimately I caved, because I was intimidated by the possibility of retaliation and was in a rush to have these men out of my home. Given this experience, I would be wary of the other reviews on this platform that may have been submitted under similar circumstances. read more

I enlisted in the services of Moving service AG very last minute/day of due to my previously scheduled movers cancelling 24 hours before. They agreed to move me from my 3rd floor, 3 bedroom apartment (without any elevator) within hours of my call. Not only did they work with my time frame & budget, but they also worked long through the night, roughly until just after 11p. I'd underestimated only needing 2 movers but, immediately, upon their arrival - they informed me a 3rd mover would be necessary. I discussed the excess fees with the manager via phone call & although, I spent a few hundred more than anticipated, it was surely necessary & worthwhile. The movers were very communicative, courteous with ensuring to work with the time frame I had & careful with plenty of the breakable items they moved. Moving Service AG was able to accommodate a last minute request for a large and fragile item pickup in Thousand Oaks and delivery and set up in North Hollywood. Beck was our mover and he was on time, professional, and so careful with our new furniture item. The pick up included a very steep driveway that Beck navigated with ease and he treated our home with respect on delivery. Service was great until the end. It came time to pay and the mover advised me what my pay was and that if i paid with card it would be an additional 4% added to my bill. I saw on the phone that zelle was an option in which i selected it on the phone and it was the same as cash price. He must've still selected card payment because my invoice still reflected the credit card payment so he called his boss which confirmed yes , zelle is the same as cash. So despite my invoice reflecting the credit card price i paid the original price that i seen . Moments later the worker called my phone back to back saying i still owed the remainder and the company would be taking that out of his check . I explained to him that i paid what i saw on the invoice before he selected credit card payment which i didn't use. So i called the boss I'm assuming which is the phone number i was given to pay the zelle too, he advised me he would fix the invoice and send me an updated one. Today im looking through my invoice again because i paid a $50 deposit to book my move and i didnt see that reflected on my invoice . I was advised that two invoices were sent to me but not given a clear response on why my deposit wasn't reflected on my final invoice . Secondly i was charged an extra hour for travel despite the hours the movers were here. I expected the clock to tick , from start to finish ; not start to finish plus an extra hour, plus my deposit not being deducted , plus one of my items being left in the truck and me not gettin a response after days has passed . This is my first time using movers and it might just be my last . We are sure glad we did. We are a family of 3 with a 3 month old baby moving to a different state which as you might guess is a stressfull situation to be in. I would not recommend booking with AG Movers. They showed up 75 mins late, which caused additional delays to our schedule that day, including a missed furniture delivery. Two movers arrived -- they were relatively fast, but careless. They damaged a side table and broke part of our bed frame while packing. We then drove under 10mins to our destination, where they started unpacking and moving our boxes in. We asked them to remove their shoes, which they did not do, claiming that they did not bring booties and that it was impractical. They chipped paint on our doorframe when moving a chair into the room. They dragged heavy furniture along the floor instead of picking it up. They placed random objects and trash bins directly on top of our brand new dining table, risking damage and scratches, until we told them to stop. Finally, when the move was done, they overcharged us by 30 mins ($62.50), claiming that they "legally" have to charge for double drive time. The lead mover then asked me to leave a Yelp / Google review to help them grow their business, but insisted, rather aggressively, that I do it right there in front of him. I suspect that many of the 5 star reviews on this page are caused by this pressure. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars instead of 1 star is because I contacted Sandy after the fact, mentioning that I was overcharged, and she promptly sent a refund. read more

11/10 amazing experience! We hired three movers and they were so efficient! They arrived before our appointment time so we started early. We've always had the worst luck with movers (I.e. purposely wasting time so they can charge more, taking super long breaks etc). AG Moving service was fast and no bs. Our whole job took 6 hours total. They made sure to package all of our furniture with plastic wraps and blankets. All of our furniture were moved to the new place in perfect condition. Consumer beware. I hired this company a second time and While their staff very nice staff they are not adequately insured or willing to cover damages caused by their movers. The movers dropped my high end refrigerator from the back of moving truck to the cement ground causing major damages to my fridge. Also caused damages to my washer, dryer and dining table. While they have accepted and acknowledged the damages caused by their staff their insurance company will only cover $200!! Where can you get a high end fridge, washer , dryer, and dining table for $200. Don't hire this company for moving expensive furniture or appliances unless you're ok with getting almost nothing if they damage your belongings. read more

We are opening a coffee house and ministry center in an old house that we are restoring. I needed a refrigerator moved from a garage up an outdoor stairwell. After moving it up the stairs it wouldn't go through the doorway so they brought it down and somehow got it up the interior stairwell without bumping any walls. Let me first say that booking was a breeze with Julia and she was so so kind and lovely to deal with. The day of the move, we had 4 men show up and move our 4 bedroom home about 30 minutes away. I packed everything with the exception of closets, the kitchen because of breakables, and the garage. Sam, the head mover, insured us we could relax and they would take it from where it was. I know we have a lot of stuff and the men worked so so hard that day, but I was heavily disappointed in the way they ended the long 11 hour shift by just throwing the 2nd truck load into our garage, unorganized and just messy. When I was unpacking and organizing a few days after the move, we found my husband's clothes and belonging all over the closet floor, without being hung. I just found that to be super unprofessional and unfinished. I didn't ask them to unpack at all even though that comes with your hourly rate, but I didn't mean throw everything on the floor nor just scattered all over my garage. I'm very grateful all out things made it to our new house, I just wish they would have been a little more tidy in delivering of our possessions. read more

OMG I couldn't be happier with my move! I recently relocated to Las Vegas. I was already emotional moving from California but these guys made it so stress free. My move was from a 1 bedroom high rise to a 3 bedroom house Julia is great and responds to questions via text. The quote was reasonable. The day of the move (today) i was greeted by Beck and his team. They arrived early with smiles and positive energy. Moving itself is so stressful. Update here (for others looking, as it looks like my review is now buried). When I originally booked this company in 2022, it was due to the fact that there were so many 5 star reviews. What'll likely happen is that someone will reach out to you (either Julia or Sandy) and ask if you'd be willing to remove a negative review in exchange for compensation (if you've shopped on Amazon.com, it's a very similar conversation). For me, I didn't want to cheapen my review, so didn't budge. See screenshot attached. I'm hoping that Yelp will flag this as a business that is breaking the rules in curating reviews. Also - this business is apparently "Yelp Guaranteed". I just learned of this recently, but have reached out regardless to see if I am entitled to any compensation for damaged furniture.
